The outdoor patio offers an incredible atmosphere, with breathtaking scenery that truly makes the visit worthwhile. Sitting outside and taking in the views was by far the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the setting. The dishes were average at best and seemed like something I could have easily prepared at home. For the premium prices being charged, I expected much higher quality and more creative offerings. That said, I'm glad I had the experience, but this is more of a "go for the view, not for the food" type of spot. Come for the drinks, stay for the sunsets! Having left Zona 20 years ago there are few places I miss. This is one. Staying at the Pointe for a few days to visit friends, we always started the evening at this stellar bar and restaurant. A little on the high end, but not overly, the service quick and friendly, upscale yet casual. The views of downtown, especially at night, are spectacular. The outdoor patio and floor to ceiling windows indoor give you an absolutely stunning view of the mountains and cityspace. Highly recommend getting a reservation around sunset and getting there a little early to take in the views. Service was amazing! Ian and Tyler took amazing care of us. They came over enough to make us comfortable and and ensure our water was filled but not enough to be annoying. They also clearly explained all the dishes, gave wine pairing recs (Ian is also a somm which was wonderful). Came to Different Pointe of View for the first to celebrate an anniversary and had an awesome experience. Starting off, the view is amazing! The restaurant is located at the top of a mountain and has amazing views from every side. They have balconies and patios to go out on to take pictures and just chill and sip on a drink while enjoying the view. It's very peaceful and beautiful to look at. And the restaurant has a pretty upscale vibe with huge windows that let you see the landscape and PHX downtown while you eat. It's definitely a really good spot to take a date. The waiters and staff are also excellent and very knowledgeable when it comes to the menu. Our waiter gave great recommendations and even though it seemed like he was running the whole floor, it never felt like we had to ask him for something. The food here was excellent as well! Both my girlfriend and I ended up getting their steak as our entree and "the mirage" as the drink. Steak was cooked very well and was really savory and the drink tasted great. We stayed at the Hilton Tapatío Resort and decided to try this restaurant. We made a reservation for Sunday but only 830pm was available. We were greeted and seated right away by the friendly host. The service was fantastic, Richard was very helpful and attentive. The food was amazing !! We ordered a lobster bisque, it was one of the best I had and bone marrow which was very tasty. We also had the Prime fillet which was cooked to perfection and risotto was delicious End the night with the Tahitian Vanilla Bean cream brulee. To take all aspects into consideration (location, food quality, ambiance, price, service), it's worth it for the entire experience. In comparison, you're going to probably spend around the same amount at other nicer restaurants (the ones with many branches and locations) but for the quality of food you're getting here makes it justifiably worth it. I had dinner with my friends on our weekend trip for total of 5 of us. The service we received was welcoming and kind; they reassured us when our food was coming. I got the pork chop and it was incredibly filling and delicious. When our server said it was the biggest entree on their menu, it's true. I would come again and try more things on their menu. I cannot speak to the decor, views or food. I had a reservation that I made several weeks in advance. Two hours prior to my reservation, I received a call from a staff member confirming my reservation but was told the terrace was booked and I wouldn't be able to access it during my reservation. When I expressed my disappointment- as I am a tourist in town - the staff member became rude. She basically implied me that if I was going to just order "appetizers and drinks" to not come. In addition, she told me that my order had to be placed prior to taking any photos. It was absolutely amazing no problem no issues. this past Easter, It was me and my boyfriend's one year anniversary so he decided to take me there. Waiter was wonderful. No problems. I had made a reservation here on Open Table several weeks in advance to ensure that we were timed to appreciate the sweeping views during sunset. There were 3 options for reservations: dining room, lounge/bar, outdoor. I selected dining room. We checked in for our reservation on time and the hostess said our table was ready and then proceeded to walk us downstairs to the Terrace Room. We had not been to this restaurant before and so I wasn't sure if this Terrace Room was still considered the dining room. When we sat down, I was disappointed as I had just seen the view we were supposed to have during dinner, and now we were on a lower level with an obstructed view. In addition, the Terrace Room had a completely different vibe than the main dining room. This was the bar/lounge area. The servers are in casual attire and the place was empty save for us and another table. I was very excited for this reservation and I was dressed up nice for the main dining room and then to be tucked away downstairs was disappointing to say the least. My boyfriend went upstairs to ask if we could be sat upstairs instead and they did accommodate us but it begs the question of what was the point of making a reservation to then not be sat in the main dining room. Especially when I had selected that in my reservation. We ended up having a lovely meal with great food and a great serving staff (shoutout Mihwa and Nate). The views were so pretty going from dusk to nighttime. The crab cake was delicious and our steaks were perfectly cooked. I wish this review could have been more about the delicious food and great service. My only child passed away early this year. In September I booked a Celebration of Life event at DP of V. It , without a doubt, turned out to be a most wonderful evening. Traci, the events coordinator was so efficient, so knowledgeable, and so nice to work with. No detail was too small and no problem was too big. I was with a pretty big party at A Different Pointe of View on April 30th, 2025. My first time there. I ordered the Sea Bass. I had terrible food poisoning in the middle of the night. I called the restaurant the next day to let them know. They were very concerned and said they would follow up. I got a call from someone there asking many questions regarding my food poisoning. Some of the questions were quite personal. It bordered on an interrogation. Then nothing. Not an apology, no call from a manager, no email, no phone call. I could not believe it. Such a high end restaurant that didn't have the manners to give a follow up call or apology. Customer service is so important no matter the type of business or level of service. The views the views! Why can't more restaurants take advantage of the amazing Arizona views? This place was such an experience from the drive up to the drive out we enjoyed our visit. We wanted to get a table right near the window and requested it weeks ahead but maybe next time! My husband and I chose to celebrate our one year anniversary with a really nice dinner! Luckily a family friend recommended we make a reservation and we got blessed by an 8 pm time slot. We were staying at the Hilton Tapatio Cliffs down below and took the hotel transportation up to the restaurant around 7:15 to have drinks in the terrace bar below. Drinks were fab! I had the cactus mixed drink and my husband had the Good, Bad and the Old Fashioned which he loved. The restaurant itself is above the bar, and has an amazing view! Our server was Bob and he has worked there for 30+ years, he knew the menu and the ins and outs of everything about the restaurant. He helped us pick out good drinks with our entrees, me having a glass of Merlot and my husband had Scotch. Bob taught him the way to drink it since he's a first-timer for scotch. Food was great! Had a hiccup with my salmon being a bit undercooked and Bob addressed it immediately and brought it back nice and well cooked to my liking. For dessert we had the cheesecake which was small (not pictured). It was dense and delicious, the foam was a fun added touch.
