Amazing views, great food, and impeccable service. Our server (Nick?) really could not have been better. My daughter's steak (ordered medium) was pretty close to well done, and he didn't even ask if she wanted another one, he just took care of it immediately and said he'd have another steak out for her right away. The fried rice egg appetizer was fantastic. The Caesar salad was just okay -- way too much dressing. I got the mussels with smoked salmon as my entree, and it was fine. I'd give the food quality a 4/5, but the ambiance & service definitely make it a 5 overall.

They offered to comp the entrees. I went last night and the meals were amazing. Thank you to the manager Zee.

Impeccable! From the view, to the food, to the service, Different Pointe of view is the best of the best. This is a Phoenix institution and if you have not been, you must go. If you're looking to take someone to a place to impress them, this is the way to do it. I was there for a work dinner and we opted to order a variety of items and go family style. I'm so glad we did because we got to try a large portion of the menu and everything was absolutely delicious! See photos for the menu and food. When you go, time it so you can have a sunset drink on the patio before dinner. You will not regret it!

Came for the Mother's Day Special Buffet and the offerings were varied and delicious. The view is incredible with plenty of spots perfect for pictures. There is a lot staff and all of them pay attention to guests needs ensuring a smooth experience. Highly recommend the beef short rib which is phenomenal!

Had some issues at the front desk, our reservation I made on open table didn't pop up. Which is weird because I paid $30. Not sure how that happened or works! Never had to pay for reservations.. that I know of. Anywho, Richard was our server. We asked to be seated with a view and it was beautiful, right at a window! Richard was friendly! He also offered to take our photos outside. He made the experience good. Food was yummy! I ordered the chefs special and he order the NY strip! Both cooked to perfection. We loved the Tiger Shrimp app - tasted fresh which is rare when you order seafood in the desert. Looked at the dessert menu but we were too full. Lots of great photo ops on each floor. We would come back!

Different Pointe of View (DPOV) is hands down the BEST view in all of Phoenix or Scottsdale!! Other restaurants come close, but none can top this mountain top view and the sunsets! Just driving up to the restaurant parking lot makes you realize how high up you are. Make a reservation to arrive before sunset so you get to enjoy the view in the daylight, then sunset, and then night sky. DPOV has a romantic ambiance. It's great for special occasions. They bring you complimentary bread with a side of three spreads. I love their lobster bisque and their crab cake. I've ordered their scallops more than once, they are delicious and cooked perfect! I've also had their pan seared Chilean Seabass, yum! The View is the Star of the show but the food is for sure the supporting actor that also wins a role!! Add DPOV to your list!

Where do I start. This place is connected to the Hilton. Which is nice so that you get someone to drive you in the golf cart up to the door. One thing to remember is that you need to get reservations in advance. The hostess was helpful as she was able to get us a table with a great view. The table staff was funny and they were accommodating and they even took our picture outside with phoenix lights in the background. They provided 3 types bread and three types of dipping/butter. They all were delicious. I had the Brussels leaf salad. It's like a wedge salad but with Brussels sprouts leaves but tasted better. My steak was done perfectly and I enjoyed the lobster mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. My wife sea bass was done perfectly and she liked it a lot. Overall the food, staff and atmosphere was spot on that night.

I booked reservations here for our anniversary & birthday dinner! We were seated immediately and was greeted by Richard! He was amazing and very attentive. We had a nice view but realized sitting by the door there is alot of foot traffic. We ordered the 63 egg fried rice for a starter and the taste was great but if texture of food throws you off I would avoid this one. The egg whites were too gelatinous for me and caused it to look strange. If it tastes good then just eat it, but man it was a mental challenge. I ordered the New York strip rare and it came with charred broccolini and a puck of potatoes. The steak was cooked different all over. I had some overcooked and undercooked parts. The broccolini tasted great but missed the char. The potato circle definitely needed some salt or sauces to accommodate the dryness and lack of seasoning. The mocktail "Winter Solstice" was delicious. The anniversary/birthday cake was not complimentary. Although he did through in some free chocolates at the end with the coffee. I definitely don't want anything for free but I am aware of the small things restaurants can do to make the evening more special. Top of the Rock was a better experience in this area. The food was disappointing but the ambience, the servers (especially the guy who recommended the bread and dipping sauces), and the views are really what gives this place the 4 stars for me.

Ian, our Server was very polite, thorough and accommodating. Ian has been with Different Point of View for 20+ years, I witnessed him present a wine from a well known Winery from CA, he was "Spot On" in his presentation and sold the table a bottle of a great wine. He made our dining experience "Enjoyable"! His support staff were excellent, very attentive and polite. Drinks were phenomenal, Featured Cocktail was well balanced-tasty, Signature Old Fashion-Perfect-so smooth and refreshing. We had a 4 Course Pre-fix Menu for Thanksgiving. We had Squash Soup-Marvelous, Cauliflower Soup-Marvelous As Well-my wife's favorite! Harvest Salad was Super, Butternut Salad just okay Turkey Meal-was good Sea Bass-okay-cold when it arrived-we should have sent back but we didn't our bad! Sides: Mashed Potatoes needed more gravy, or more butter which Ian's Support Staff accommodated. Macaroni-okay Dressing-Very Interesting We love this restaurant, views are stupendous We will return

    Stunning views!

Spectacular views, amazing service, and incredible food! We were on vacation for over a week in the area as we celebrated a milestone birthday for my husband. We made reservations here on his actual birthday. It was everything we hoped it would be. Highly recommended for anyone who lives in the area or visiting.

Ask the Community - Different Pointe of View

Do you have to make a reservation?

Yes! And I recommend making it early. I wasn't able to get one when I was looking three days out.

What's the noise level inside versus outside? Can you easily hold a conversation with a large group of people?

The noise level was moderate but we were definitely able to easily hold conversations with our feeling like you're shouting!

Are we able to reserve where we are seated when making our reservations?

Yes I believe so at least like in a general area near a window so you get the evening view !

Are you allowed to wear base ball hats?

They have a dress code since it's considered a fine dining venue. So I would say no and that would apply to other spirts apparel like football jerseys. Why don't you call them or just go to a spirts bar.

Does anyone know about the prices for their food items? Or approximately how much does one spend for two people?

My friends and I went for my birthday and me and my husband got the risotto, chicken, 2 beverages (1alcoholic bev.), a cheesecake dessert and 1 lobster bisque appetizer and the total was $150 and that included gratuity. Entrees can waiver between… Read more

Can we be seated outside for dinner (not just bar)? We are looking for a place to entertain a business associate and their requirement is that we eat outside.

There was a wedding when I went so I'm sure they can accommodate!

Do they have a bar where you can get a drink if not interested in dinner?

Yes, they have a bar one level below the main dining area. The view is basically the same. We just walked in to look around a bit, so I cannot attest as to the service or if they serve appetizers there or not. But, really nice bar area one level… Read more

    Is there a happy hour?

I am pretty sure there are no happy hour specials at the Different Pointe of View. We could only get reservations for right after the opened (I think ours were at 5:30pm and they opened at 5pm). No one said anything re: Happy Hour specials or what… Read more

Where's the best place to sit in the restaurant for the best view?

Definitely outside on the patio. They are all good out there.

How far in advance should I make a reservation for a Saturday evening slot?

Special holidays require advanced reservations, but usually the rest of the time there are eating available. Lot depends on hotel vacancy and events.

    What is the dress code?

Casual dress but there were out of town people dress in tees and shorts no so dressy

Does the restaurant have a bar so we can go for a drink and small bite rather than a full meal? And if so, does it have a happy hour?

They do have a large bar that opens to the deck area with panoramic views! I'm not sure about Happy Hour.

Does anyone know if there are vegetarian options at this place ? Please let me know.

The menu is ever changing so I would recommend just checking the menu online before you go or calling.

On OpenTable - it says the Terrace Lounge opens at 5pm and Different Pointe of View opens 6pm. Yet on the Hilton site - it shows both open 6pm. Does the lounge open before the restaurant?

It currently opens at 6pm. Hope this helps. You'll love it there

Hi I have a question how much is the average bill for two people? I'm a college student and wanna take a girl out. How much should I be prepared to pay

Depends on if you do a full course or not. Depending on your entree choices you could be around $100 for two alone, or around $100 with 2 entrees and an appetizer (before tax + tip).

Is there dancing? My significant other is coming in a week and i would love to take him somewhere classy and somewhere we can dance?

There was no dancing the night I went, and I didn't see a place for dancing (unless it would be part of a private event like a wedding).

What would you recommend as the best locations to request for seating (both indoor and outdoor)? Are there window tables indoors that have some view blocked by outside tables?

Ask for a seat by the window looking out on the city if you're sitting indoors. Otherwise, if you're going to sit outdoors, ask for a view of the city.

I plan to come on weekdays, do I need to make reservation?

Here, it is always a good idea to make a reservation. Is it required? No. Is it a good idea? Oh, yeah.

    Are they open on sundays?

    Yes, from 5pm to 8pm.

The chicken tenders were fire!!! What is lacking on this occasion was service. The server that we had was so unattentative. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

Spoiler alert: Carry On is a speakeasy attached to the back of the restaurant. After picking up your ticket, you walk around the corner to the large orange "plane" door, which opened punctually at 7:30pm to start our experience. We gave our flight attendants (the staff was indeed wearing flight attendant uniforms) our tickets at the front desk, and were given free Carry On pins before being escorted to our table. Despite being a Thursday evening There were overhead announcements and even windows playing animations emulating a real flight experience from take-off to landing! The interior is gorgeous, from the furnishings to the lighting. Craftily, there are many mirrors inside to create the illusion of a larger space. The menu emulated an in-flight menu, with food and drinks based on the trip's theme! We ordered an additional drink each and an onion dip that were all creatively crafted and delicious! All in all, Carry On is the perfect date night or girl's night experience. While it might not be in most people's price range for a casual night out, it is definitely worth trying for a special occasion if possible. I wouldn't say we had the best experience. The food was pretty decent, but they brought my friends…read morefood out and then mine. Mine was wrong so it had to be sent back and the chicken had to be added to my salad-which took like 20 minutes. Our entire experience create us to be an hour late to the concert next-door. The bartender was kind and was interested in making sure we had the beverage of choice.

We were very comfortably dressed, and no one looked sideways at us, but there were definitely people dressed to the nines! There was a party of women next to us, that were celebrating a birthday. We obliged them by taking their pictures all over the instagramable bar. Ryan was our waiter, and he is tops. Made some really good recommendations and was welcoming and attentive. I was just there for the drinks and enjoyed a lovely glass (or two) of wine, but my friends were feeling more adventurous and ordered some of their inventive cocktails. Including a couple of "Shot in the Dark" which could be ANYTHING. Also a burger was ordered and then brought up repeatedly for the next two days. According to him, it was possibly the best burger he had ever had. His face lit up at first bite. The menu is a mishmash of interesting options and the whole experience was not what we anticipated. In the best way.

Upstairs at Flint is just as AMAZING as inside the restaurant! The food is STILL on 1000% DELISC!…read morethe Service is PERFECT as always! and the ambiance is STELLAR! A beautiful view of the Camelback Mountains. We had a reservation but decided on sitting upstairs, instead. I love that the hostess' are very nice about giving you the options. I have been going to this restaurant since 2018 for business lunches, nice dinners, a company Christmas party-Upstairs. iI is my go to and I highly recommend Flint to others.

Wow. All I can is what a restaurant! Came here on a Wednesday night 3 weeks before Christmas and…read moreit was a vibe. Secluded upstairs dining area with heaters available. Excellent service, a Christmas tree upstairs, and no reservations required. Glad they were able to seat us considering we showed up without reservations. Downstairs gets quickly reserved so seats upstairs are where they push overflow patrons. Right outside Flint's doors downstairs there is a staircase which opens up to the upstairs dining area. Service was prompt, and we got our drinks by the time we had our mains decided. I got a glass of red to pair with my steak. My partner had a refreshing cocktail, but it was decent. The highlights of the night were the food. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was TERRIFIC! For starters we got the artichoke hummus. It sounded a bit weird, but all it was was regular hummus with 4 artichoke hearts that were crispy. The artichoke hearts were crisp, but moist, and I could have kept eating those all day. It comes with 1 pita bread. The server told us to order another and we did, turns out we needed it as the pita breads were quite small ($3 +). Sure only 3 bucks, but nickel and dime if you are spending $14 on an app... For mains I got the filet medium rare with a side of regular potatoes. My partner got the salmon skewer with a side of asparagus. Both the dishes were cooked perfectly and they were familiar dishes with a slightly exotic touch to it. Must be the middle eastern part of the restaurant. The steak came with a ganache or accompaniments of middle eastern sides. Can't recall what they were but they were great when I dipped my potatoes in them. It was sour, tart, acidic, kind of like middle eastern soy sauce. The server recommended it to us and we got it. The salmon skewer came with 5 decent sized pieces on it. Great for a small eater or someone who doesn't want their own meal. It too was delicious and had light touches of sauce or smoke on it. The asparagus is a favorite. It was cooked as usual, typical steak side and both me and my partner enjoyed it! For dessert, as it was my partners birthday the server comped the pound cake. While it was delicious, it was definitely the letdown of the meal. It was way too sweet including the layer of cream that it was doused with. The sweat cream wasn't necessary as the pound cake was incredibly sweet itself. Also, the pound cake wasn't soft like normal cake. It was quite dry once you peeled away the creme layer up top. I definitely should have gone with the Chocolate Ganache Tart. But their mess up worked in their favor. I'm definitely coming back for another meal at Flint!
