To start, i'm kind of a tech junkie, so i consider myself knowledgeable on all things tech, whether it be computers, A/V equipment, etc . so with that being said, The work & the knowledge behind the work that Digital Installers did for me was second to none. i kind of had a smorgasbord of projects going on and they handled everything with ease. We started with 7 exterior security cameras( HD), then an outdoor tv( sunbrite 55) that tied into my a/v system, then we upgraded my a/V reciever ( yamaha rx 3030). and finally we automated it all with Control 4. The fact that i have all my components in one place for my theater room and outdoor tv are amazing,. I debated whether or not to use geek squad, but figured if I'm going to spend money on an install, might as well find a local business. On time, very polite and professional. I recently decided to have my last TV mounted on my wall in the guest room. Reuben was the installer. He was running late but called and let me know. I recently purchased a 60 inch Visio TV and I wanted to relocate it to my fireplace. I do not use my fireplace so I figured I can mount it on the bricks and then hide the wires behind the TV. When I first met Rusty at digital installers, I noticed the LED lights that he has behind his TV on the showroom floor. I went ahead and had him install that as well. Now that I had my nice brand-new TV mounted on the fireplace and the cool backlighting I had to figure out something for all of my devices because I couldn't put them on the shelf which is where they lived for many years. I went ahead and got a IR repeater and a universal remote. Now all my devices are tucked out of the way and the IR cords run up to the top of the TV and everything is nice and clean and you can't see any wires. As a bonus I only have to keep track of one remote control instead of four that's gonna save me a lot of time:) read more

I switched from DirecTV to a Spectrum/Tivo box over the weekend, plus I was having (self-inflicted) problems with my AppleTV, and Randall was able to dispatch Reuben same day to handle our issues. This company is the best. I have had so many nightmarish AV companies come to my house and do the worst job possible. I've even asked technicians to leave my house before they did anymore damage. I've been using DI for about 3 years. Rusty is my main point of contact and I simply shoot him a text and he not only schedules the jobs, but he gives excellent consulting advice. DI has done the following for me: Installed an awesome system in our great room with our big TV so I could use one remote, to control 4 outputs (BlueRay, Cable Box, XBox and Apple TV). As part of this job, they mounted a TV outside on our deck. It gave me the ability to send any of the 4 outputs to any of the 2 TV's. Also, they installed a Sonos device so I could stream music indoors and/or out. In addition, just yesterday, the amazing, talented and professional DI technicians Vanny and Evan, showed up (early! never happens with any other companies that come to my house) to wall mount 2 TV's and a Sonos soundbar. Also, they helped me plan out a future upgrade to my family room TV. The work was impeccable. I'm so happy, I would highly recommend DI. Hiring Digital Installers was an all around great decision. I needed cameras and a new WiFi network for my business. Matt came out fast and gave me a quote within a couple days. His design made sense for my specific building. The job was scheduled for a week later and completed on time. The technicians Vanny & Elvis trained me and my employees how to use the new system. Their price was slightly higher than other quotes, but they know what they are doing and everything works great. Reuben is simply awesome. Clearly knows his stuff and executes the installation himself. He's friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about a quality install and a happy customer. He was very helpful with SOLUTIONS to address project complexities, and tried his best to come up with cost effective options...while still delivering a clean install. I had Reuben at my home for several hours, much longer than he had planned and he didn't complain once. Two custom flat screen and sound system installs ended up costing much more than I had planned but after seeing the hours of labor and cost of materials it made sense. Regardless, DI makes good margin. Good for them. With their quality work they deserve it. After Reuben left my house, I encountered a complication. He left his card with cell number so I texted him with my problem. In less than an hour he responded with a course of action which worked. I felt great to have continued good service after I had already paid and they left the job. One suggested improvement. Update your marketing materials with a phone number that immediately gets to someone who will respond and schedule an installation appointment. Howard's TV. gave me a DI card with a number that went straight to vm...and no one called back to schedule an appointment. I had to call 3x and finally found Rusty's direct number. Ultimately Rusty took care of scheduling the install for the next day. But it really should not take 3 calls from a customer, right? It seems other reviews indicate problems with scheduling... Bottom line: I would use DI again in a heartbeat. read more

I used Digital Installers a few years back for a basic tv install and set up. They did a good job at fair price. So I called them again for an estimate on installing an outside TV antenna and connecting it to 3 tv's in the home. I was buying the antenna my self and they would run the cable and setup tv's. My estimate came out to $1200.00 for a job that might take 2 hours. They are way over priced. I just didn't see the value for the service they would provide. read more

I called Digital Installers to install my new TV. I spoke with a person in the office and she said she would get in touch with one of the crews. I received a prompt reply. The job was scheduled. The crew was about 10 mins early. The went right to work. They removed the old TV and the wall mount. When they arrived, I asked them to restore an old roof antenna coaxial cable. They finished the job, including the old coaxial connection, and a complete cleanup. Everything looks and works wonderfully. This is the third job they have done for me. Well, I really tried with Digital Installers but I couldn't even get them to respond to me. DI was very prompt and very receptive when coming over for a free consultation which was very impressive. However, we needed to do some custom cabinet work as well which DI apparently subcontracts with. When working with Reuben who was responsible to schedule the cabinet contractor for a consultation on cost and design, we have heard nothing unless I send an email to remind Reuben. We've done this twice, including my wife and we still have no contact on the cabinet consultation so we're moving on. We were initially impressed but it's very clear DI does not want our work. Working with them should not involve me continuing to follow-up. I even asked for the cabinet companies direct number so I could schedule it since we want the project to start ASAP. Of course no answer. I can only assume the positive reviews for DI are AFTER they have gone through the contract process but we couldn't even get that far since we have no idea what the cabinet costs would be in addition to the quote provided by DI For the A/V information. Regardless, their inattentiveness clearly show they don't want my business. read more

I don't do reviews ever. As in never. Except this one. This is the exception that confirms the rule. Why? Read on, please. In 2013 we purchased a 4,000 sq ft home in Rolling Hills with the plan to do a complete remodel. The designer we hired (and later fired) recommended a low voltage installer who was (only) an authorized Control4 dealer. We went with Control4 because as far as I could tell at the time it seemed to be a good option for a new whole home system. This turned out to be correct; Control4 is a complete, versatile, powerful and integrated choice for a truely smart home. However, the design and installation was a whole separate issue with this particular dealer. In fact I ended up doing some of the system setup myself, including keypad templates and lighting scenes in Control4's Composer Home Edition. The dealer was subsequently fired and I began a search to find someone to finish up the project and then continue system maintenance. After failed experiences with 3 other Control4 dealers I finally contacted Control4's highest (platinum) rated company in our area which was Digital Installers. The difference was night and day. These folks are really experinced, competent, knowledgeable, and extremely nice people to deal with. They like and appreciate their customers and treat them kindly and fairly. They came in and did a series of important improvements to our system and have been able to fix every problem and glitch that has appeared since they took over the job. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a ton of frustration and misery. Use Digital Installers for your Control4 project from the get go like I should have done. The only other piece of advise I would give is to spend slightly more on your system and go with panelized lighting control. Take it from me. Our project has almost 500 drivers that are loaded and working well now with the help of Digital Installers. read more

I had an appointment and I messed up the times and called Rusty and he accommodated me on a prompt new day and time, so that says a lot about the way he does business. My wife and I hired Digital Installers to design and install a home theater system. Rusty, Shaun, and the rest of the DI Crew are very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. My wife HATES seeing wires. All of the cabling was run through the walls and the ceiling to a small closet where all of the equipment was stored. Even the front speaker cabling came out from under the baseboard as we didn't want plugs in the wall. Everything turned out beautifully looking as well as top performance. Digital Installers optimized the picture of the big screen, programmed the remote controls, showed us how to use everything and made sure clean-up was spotless.
