This location always seems to be under construction or getting updates if some sort but somehow manages to still feel exactly the same as it is in 1997 aesthetically. They also always have staff trying to flag people down to talk about the new Chanel lipstick or whatever which always feels like an outdated approach - again something that they do not do at every location. I typically shop at the Atlantic Station store, but when I need to go to Perimeter, I usually park at Dillards because there are usually quite a few spots closet o a set of doors. read more

She told me and my friends that we dropped something at the fragrance section even though we never even went over there. She assumed we did just because we were kids. Just went Dillard's. I am a twelve year old and they have a great selection. Most of the workers there are very nice and helpful (especially Pablo) but one lady yelled at and falsely accused my friends and I for dropping a fragrance while pointing over near a section that we hadn't even been near. She also yelled at us for not being with our parents even though all of the other workers did not mind and were helping us. We were also minding our own business and being respectful. Always our goto shopping location for woman's, mens, and kids clothes as well as fancy shoes for my wife and dress shoes for me. We can almost always find what we need at Dillards. I shop for my work clothes here almost exclusively. They offer all of the brands I like and usually have plenty of selection. When we are looking for clothes for my wife we always come here first. The lines they carry and the breadth of styles make it easier to look through a bunch of things at one time. Even for my boys there is just a great selection of the trendy things they like. I am pretty sure that every pair of heels that I have bought my wife have come from Dillards. If not all them, 98% of them. Their selection is outstanding! Now usually the service is very good, but it is a department store and there have been times that we have had bad service to no service. It is not the boutique shopping of some smaller locations that excel at service, but that is what you sacrifice for the wide selection. Occasionally we have had the best of both worlds... boutique service and the selection... on those occasions there is no doubt that Dillards is the king of the shopping locations! read more

Very poor first experience. Ordered a North Face Backpack. It took 9 days to get it. Ordered it October 6, received November 15. Called on Nov 15 to return it and was told I could not because the return window is 30 days. They start counting the days from the day it is ordered. So the first 9 days count in my return window. I was out of town for 2 weeks. Doesn't leave me much time to gather a returned. Called and no exceptions. Very poor customer service. I will never shop here again. 9 days to ship in the year 2024 is unacceptable when you are counting it towards a return window. That is a scam. read more

I bought/ pairs of love fit pants in October 2023. I didn't wear them until Dec. After washing, both pairs expanded and puckered. Upon returning to the store I was told even though it appears damaged, it could be the design. The manager on duty said there was nothing he could do. He took the side of the manufacturer and stood on their store policy! He did not offer any % off on a future purchase or any other type of restitution. I wasn't really looking for make-up. I just needed to grab some mascara. But Christopher Miller at the Chanel department gave me a quick makeover. He showed me tricks I have never known before (and I've been wearing makeup a long time!) He was smart and Zero Pushy (I hate pushy salesmen). I did choose to buy several other items. This Dillard's is nice. It's bright and super organized. They a nice selection of women's shoes. That department is pretty big compared to other locations. You can find some great deals in the fashion jewelry section with many items 25 or 40% off. They have a nice selection of vintage designer handbags, mostly Louis Vuitton. I had to call this store 4 times before I was able to contact an operator. They got me to the women's shoe department and someone answered but stated they'd need to get me with a sales associate to look and see if they had the shoe I was looking for in stock and sat the phone down. I heard them ask someone to help me out because they needed to run upstairs. I then sat for over 15 minutes and listened as they helped other customers in the store and even heard them typing on the computer, just for them to never even get on the phone and help me. Shopping for things in Atlanta post-covid will try your patience to the point of insanity. A fools errand! I scoured Dillard's website for a pair of dress shoes to wear for business purposes. I found exactly what I was looking for so I planned a trip to the Perimeter Mall store to try on various sizes to get the optimum fit. An aside, Perimeter Mall is almost an hour's drive due primarily to confused drivers trying to navigate the I-285 - 400 interchange (I'll save that for a future review). I had a quick look around in Dillard's as I planned to search for a belt that matches the new shoes that I expected to walk out with. I made my way to the men's shoe department to look for the brand that I was interested in. "We don't carry that brand in the store. They are only available online." What! I thought the website was engineered to drive customers to the store in anticipation of them finding additional "impulse" purchases. Not so at Dillard's! Irritated, I made my way to the customer service department to register my displeasure. The associate looked at me in bewilderment because I expected items found on the website to be available in the store. I asked, since I wasn't "psychic friends" with Dillard's management personnel how I was to know which items were and were not available in the store. All I received was a blank stare. I decided to ditch Dillard's and see if I had more luck at competing department stores - which will remain nameless, but you can guess who I am referring to. In one store that has had volumes written regarding their legendary customer service, sales staff looked past me like I was a park statue! With two stores remaining, I prayed for better luck. At a third store with headquarters in the midwest, a sales associate actually said matters could be handled more efficiently if I ordered from Amazon! At the final store, with locations coast to coast, well it looked like someone had thrown a stick of dynamite in a Goodwill collection bin! As well, it appeared that their entire sales staff had vacated their post and entered into the witness protection program. Long story made short, after two hours in traffic and an expedition on the scale of the search for the Titanic, I remain bare footed! Retailers, take note! This is why sales are down and why customers don't bother visiting your stores anymore. Interesting, a non person of color walked up right behind me and Lilly acknowledged her as soon as she stepped on the carpet. Lilly walked by me 5 times before I sat down in your shoe dept and filled out this form. I'm sitting right by the register where there are 3 associates. I came in here to purchase a shoe for my son' wedding on Friday. I normally shop at Nordstrom. I will be returning there and finding something. I went to go return some jewelry my boyfriend bought me for my birthday. I called before driving the 30 min to the nearest dillards, to see if they'd return it without a receipt. They said as long as it has yellow proof of purchase they can return it. They both did. I drive 30 min and they tell me because it's over 90 days old they can't return it. I think I've said this before, but Dillard's department stores can really show these other department stores how to do business without having 3 One Day sales a week, and coupons galore hitting the mailboxes 4 days a week. They now carried the CJ by Cookie Johnson line in this location. If you are not familiar, this is the jean line by NBA Hall of Famer Earvin "Magic" Johnson's wife. The line is under the Rich and Skinny label but made for those that aren't skinny. You might still want to keep the "rich" as part of the brand, cause these jeans can cost as much as those other "designer" jeans. I really like Dillard's, there clearance racks are great, they don't overload the racks so much that you think you're at Ross or Marshall's and most times their sales associates are friendly, helpful, and honest about how something looks on your body shape. NOTE: Items bought off the clearance rack must be returned within 3 days. No exceptions or store credits will be given after this time. The also stamp your receipt to say this. read more

This Dillard's is okay. It is your typical department store. Makeup, fragrance, shoes, bags, coats, etc. I think the main thing that sets department stores apart is the service. I prefer the Dillards at Atlantic Station. The employees are so friendly and accommodating. Here, no one asked me if I needed help, gave me strange looks as I walked by, and were generally disinterested. Meh. I went to Dillard's to find some dress shoes for my daughter. It was Sunday about 30 minutes before they closed. There was 2 sales ladies working in the kids shoe department. My daughter picked out several styles and once I finally got someone's attention, the sales lady got the shoes for us. When the sales lady returned, she handed me the boxes and walked away. No service, she was there to ring up sales and go get shoes. By the way, the sales lady was barefoot!! After 20 minutes, my daughter made her decision and I took the shoes and box up to the counter. The sales lady asked where the other shoes were. I told her they were on the floor. She then said "well you need to bring them to me". ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I acted like I didn't hear her. The first thing you notice when you go into Dillard's is... It smells nice. It's crisp- and clean-smelling, and the AC is usually cranked up nice in the summer. I'm not sure if the Dillards and Macys of the world will survive, let alone thrive, or for how long, but there's something nice about strolling in and shopping at these stores. Dillard's would have pretty good deals from time to time, but full retail? No thanks! Who pays full retail these days. I once had a VP in our company who said in a meeting (cuz we were talking about pricing and discounting) that HE pays full retail. Everyone looked at him/her as the fool that he/she was. When it comes to dresses, Dillard's is the place to go to. I have bought every single one of my prom or formal dresses here, and for pretty damn cheap (on sale or clearance). Both the Atlantic Station and Perimeter Dillard's have absolutely enormous women's sections, with plenty of dresses for any occasion. I also like they they always have some sale racks as well. What I don't like is Dillard's no price adjustment policy. Seriously? I feel like every store is willing to price adjust to some capacity, but Dillard's refuses to. Their return policy is 30 days. I guess that is standard for department stores... not sure. I am spoiled by other stores' 90 day policy (e.g. Target). A price adjustment would have been nice, because I bought a Gianni Bini dress for a wedding that I am in, in the store, for full price. A month or so later, I spotted the dress on their website for $60 off. SIXTY DOLLARS OFF. By this time, the 30 day window for returns had passed. However, a $60 savings was too tempting to pass up, so I bought the dress online with the intention of returning the store-bought dress for store credit. (Just a note. When I received the dress in the mail, they forgot to include a printout of the receipt. Thought that was odd. I literally just received the dress with no paperwork whatsoever.) I returned the store-bought dress with no problems and was issued a gift card. I then later spent it on more clothes online, since they were having a pretty decent sale. A couple of items in my shopping cart were labeled as non-returnable, which I was OK with. I was willing to take the risk. There was a dress though that I was more unsure of, but I decided to proceed with the purchase since it was NOT labeled non-returnable. However, after I clicked "Submit" to process my purchase, I noticed that dress was also labeled as non-returnable. Um, why didn't it say so before? If that was the case, I might not have purchased it. I was kind of miffed about that. Bottom line -- if they would just allow price adjustments, it would have saved me a lot of hassle. I had the worst experience in this Dillard's. First off, it is dirty. I don't I don't think it has ever been cleaned, the dressing rooms are horrendous. Second, I was accosted by a small child and the employees near by did not react, nor did the child's parents. Third, we went to four different dressing rooms, and no employees helped us unlock the rooms. One employee simply told us to "go over there" and dismissively waved us away. Another employee told us they were all full when there where clearly several open rooms.
