Every time I am looking for a pint and some good food in Summit county, this place always makes the list. I am a fan of horseshoe bars, and this place has a big one! Lots of seating, inside, upstairs, and on the patio. Great staff and lots of beer choices (including rotators). Order the dam trout and the dam chicken pot pie. I would pass on the dam portobello mushroom sandwich if you don't love lemon and giant piles of feta cheese. Go to this dam place. My husband ordered takeout from here while he was out running errands. I told him to get me a turkey bacon wrap, which is on the receipt. What I got was not what was ordered. I got some ham wrap thing that I wouldn't have ordered. This seems to happen a lot anymore and it's time to point it out. Check your food people. God only knows what you'll end up with. read more

Unfortunately, I can't write a Dam good review. Look at my photo for my last review in 2014. Things have certainly changed since eating here starting in 2007. We've noticed things have gone downhill over the last 4 years. The service is not as "fun" as it used to be. The bartenders were happy to pour beer, explain the different brews, shake cocktails, etc. And weirdly, a clue we should have gotten upon walking in, the upstairs was closed off. And the wait was only 15 minutes, at 7:50 pm. I know it's strange to complain about a short wait, but it's an interesting observation to see. Ordering a beer from a bartender is usually a great experience. A "Hey! Welcome. What can I get for you?" would be nice. Vs placing my order across the bar (seemed like his style). Dropped off beer. No "enjoy," "here ya go," etc. The only words spoken were when he took my card and asked "open or closed." Definitely closed. Past bartenders have usually been so great. $1 tip delivered (I usually do $3 per drink). Dinner was mid. Wife and her mom ordered side salads, which came out as "full" salads. Asked if they could come out first. "Yes." But that was not true. Came with dinner. And at twice the price. Which is a consideration when 6 people are mandated the 20% gratuity based on meal cost. I feel like the 20% should have been earned. What incentive to go above and beyond is there when the tip is already a done deal? The French onion soup used to come in a good-sized bowl. For $11.50, it should be more than a cup that looks about 10 oz. The "microwaved" pretzel definitely shrank over the years. Quality and size sure changed. Five people got maybe two bites each, tasted similar to the store-bought microwave pretzels. However, the dipping sauces were great! Rodeo Burger used to be great. Slathered in BBQ sauce. Solid bacon strips. Today, about a teaspoon of BBQ sauce, and a thin bacon strip. We did get more bbq sauce after we were almost done. The manager who took our name for the table and the hostess were both nice. The server had a good personality to start, but it declined as closing time neared (we arrived at 7:55 and were sat at 8:10. They close at 9). This was the first time we didn't order a bottle of red wine with our dinner. We just didn't feel it was that fun of an experience. Also, I had planned to return tomorrow to buy beer for July 4th. Now I have to find someplace else. I'm bummed b/c this place was such a "must go" for us. But with such reduced portions and price increases, along with "fair" service, it might be a while until we return. I sincerely hope they can return to their former glory. Solid spot for groups and after a long day on the slopes. This brewery has your classic pub favorites and a bunch of award winning in house brews. I got the bison burger and it was good, not great but paired nicely with the shoe string fries. Service was efficient and friendly. They are accommodating to large parties. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place for dinner. There are TVs everywhere and would recommend if there's a game on and you want to grab beers/ drinks with a group. They have a full circle bar in the center when you walk in which seemed like a lovely hangout spot for locals. read more

Honestly... I would skip this place for lunch... the fish and chips were a rip off. The fish was so obviously frozen... like.... Dry and gritty, definitely not fresh fish... the batter was very tasty which, at first, kinda tricked you into thinking it tasted good. But once you got to the meat.... You could just tell the fish was not quality.... my Mac and cheese was like white velveeta... it wasn't made with grated or shredded cheeses... it was more like a white sauce.... I couldn't even eat a fourth of what was on my plate. It was supposed to have peppers in it, but the peppers seemed like they were just diced green peppers from a can....we did have the shishito pepper appetizer which was really good. I visited this brewery on 6/1/2026. After checking my bank statement on 6/4/2026 I saw that I was charged for my meal and someone else's meal. My meal was 70.00 and someone else's was 235.42. I called after noticing this discrepancy on 6/4/2026 and was told that their manager wasn't working and they would write my name and number down and the manager would give me a call on 6/5/2026. After calling 8 times around 11:05am on 6/5/2026 someone answers and says their manager is not working today and they'll see if the manager can call me tomorrow. I actually enjoyed the food and the atmosphere however their customer service skills regarding this issue are abysmal. If I took 235.42 from their establishment I'm sure they would want to resolve it as soon as possible however when the customer is the one that was wrongfully charged they seem to think it doesn't matter how long it takes to resolve the issue. I would not recommend dining at Dillon Dam Brewery. read more

This place is still amazing! Will be and will always be my favorite place to eat in Dillon. They open at 11:00 am most days and if you are there by 12:00 you won't have a wait. Around our table we had the pulled pork nachos (definitely share this with 3+ people), pork green chili bowl that packed a nice warm punch, the seafood chowder that was delicious (I understand why they sell out of it), the pimento cheese stuffed garlic knots, chicken fried chicken (always one of my favorites here. It's on a bed of caramelized onions, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy), chili bread bowl, a couple different burgers, the fish and chips, pretzel and sausage skewers, and the chicken strip baskets. We also had a few beers across the table with the favorite being their in house wheat beer. This place is great and I would definitely eat here if you are nearby. I have been coming here for over 20 years and unfortunately this is my last time. The service was awful and the food has been going downhill the last several years. Tonight my husband's sandwich came without sauce and my medium rare burger was well done. The waitress did nothing to address this. We were a group of 9, showed up about 6:30 pm Saturday without reservations and were seated immediately upstairs at a big table. They don't accept reservations or call aheads. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We ordered draft beers, lots of apps and entrees including both flavor wings, nachos, green poutine, pretzel, burger, trout, bison tips, chicken fried chicken, ribeye, salads. Food overall was delicious. We wanted to order prime rib but they ran out. The ribeye was a little overcooked. Medium rare was closer to medium well. They quickly took it back and made another one. Chicken fried chicken was moist and batter very crispy. Nachos were HUGE! I would suggest adding a meat to the nachos for a few bucks. Pretzels were soft, warm and chewy. We preferred traditional poutine but they have a red or green version. Waitress recommended green so we ordered that. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. Bison tips were moist and well seasoned. My favorite entree of all we tried. I'd recommend this spot for a nice laid back ambiance, good food and local beers, and very reasonable pricing. Excellent atmosphere with TVs to watch games but noise levels that allow for regular conversations. The service is excellent and the decor is cool with lots of history and brewing information. The food and drinks are great. Had the fish and chips with slaw. The fish was crispy and tasted good. This is a very relaxed restaurant with warm welcomes. The food portion is huge. One dish served two of our meals. Very good service.

They had a few good beers on tap, we had the Heres you Dam IPA, The Irish Stout and the Mild Chili (green chili not spicy) and some house wines. Loved this spot. Service by Abby was AMAZING, unmatched energy really. She recommended I tried this drink (on the secret menu hahaha) and it's basically beer mixed with lemonade. It was SO good. Got churros before my food and No Ragrets either LOL the ambience was a vibe. They have an outdoor part, seats around the bar indoor/downstairs, and an upstairs part with amazing sunlight. Didn't take pics of the food but I got some of the current menu! (08/2023). Food came out fast. We got a couple of beers and really enjoyed them. We all loved our food. I had beef tips with asparagus and risotto. The beef tips were tender and very flavorful. They didn't look super appetizing when our server brought out the plate, but they were a wonderful surprise as far as flavor and texture. The risotto was a bit dry, and the asparagus was perfectly cooked. If you get a burger, expect a lot of pink, which is how our family loves burgers, but some people like more of a medium. The nachos left much to be desired. My husband got a sad plate of nachos because evidently they ran out of chips, and he got the last batch. They were too full of toppings for the chip ratio. We asked for more chips and got a weird assortment of leftover pieces that were different flavors. That's how we found out they ran out of chips. Our server was just okay. She wasn't overly friendly and was a bit too casual. Not very helpful either. I asked if they had sweet tea, and was abruptly told "no." Without any alternative suggestions. So I followed up asking if they had unsweetened tea and sugar. Which I ended up getting. Just a strange vibe. The atmosphere is what one would expect from a brew house. Casual, not a lot of booths, but we are continually happy coming to this restaurant. We'll be back. It's consistently good. Stop by if you're ever in Dillon. read more

Back after 4 years. Looks pretty much the same. Still very popular. Had to wait 30 min for a table for dinner on a Monday. Got the nachos again. Was expecting them to shrink due to inflation, but the nachos are still huge... maybe even huge-r than before. Massive amount of ingredients that's probably enough for two people as a meal on its own. It was also not that expensive given the size, but maybe they were running a special that day. Also I got the beef stew in the bread bowl. Really hearty, strong flavors in the thick beefy stew. The bread bowl is toasted on the outside with a little bit of crisp on the surface, and overall tasted pretty good.
