Came here during this festival and parking was chaotic. This is located inside a Vietnamese mall. The food prices aren't too bad and the portions are nice. The had a sale where it's 7.99 wonton soup. So worth it. The Beth is light and the veggies were crunchy. The wontons had flavor. I give it a 4.1/5. The shu mai looked like they were on steroids, i got two batches and it was worth it. I can eat about 4 batches to myself, but 2 individual ones almost had me full. They were better than some dim sum places. 5/5. The rice noodle with shrimp was a disappointment. The noodle was just super sticky and bland. The shrimps were baby shrimps. The sauce was good. 2.7/5 The soup dumplings were good, they give about ten of them and they were all packed with soup. Definitely worth it. 4.5/5. The piggy buns had egg custard instead of red bean so it was nice. I wouldn't get it again but I give it a 3/5. The service and ambiance is super fast pace. Came here Saturday noon, since there was a festival going on. First time at Asian Mall, the parking is pretty chaotic. The food area is located in the 1st floor, and the staff did not seem pushy at all like the rest of the clothing vendors around the mall. Instead she was patient with us because it was our first time. You get what you pay for of course, cheap dim sum, for okay taste. Hong Kong style soup was on sale that was good, very light in broth and our dim sum was still warm. The line was not long at all, maybe we just got lucky. I read the line can be long. My kids ate their food, so can't complain. Not a fan of the piggy buns, tasted dry. The shrimp rice roll was clumpy and not much flavor at all. The Shu Mai were huge, and tasted favorable and the soup was good. The soup dumplings were okay, at least it had soup in it. read more

This place is a fucking scam. I tried to order on postmates and noticed that their price is marked up from the menu in person, so I tried to cancel it before they accepted it and "prepared" it. I was still charged $134 even though it was cancelled and I didn't receive any food. This was actually my first time cancelling an order through postmate too and when I called customer service they couldn't do anything about it expect that I should have just "updated" the order next time. Idk it just left a bad taste in my mouth being up charged through post mates when i had this place in person before (typical dimsum place nothing special). Im no longer going to be a consumer at this spot. read more

It's a real thing that businesses are manipulating buyers into buying their product by claiming there's a sale. There's no real sale. It's just a manipulation tactic. It's DECEITFUL. Usually there's a line whenever I visit Dim sum bistro. You can order from the menu for more specialized items. The taste of the food is just okay but very appealing to the eyes. Depends on the day you go; sometimes you'll get fast customer service or have to wait a while. FYI - weekends and Asian new years/events they tend to get super packed. It's pretty tall & slim cup. Coming to garden grove. Sugar cane juice is a must after a big lunch. It's light and so refreshing. They have the option to add kumquat to the juice. Lots of juice and not overly filled w just ice like a lot of locations that sell sugar cane juice. It was perfectly naturally sweeten. It's a food court so it has the food court atmosphere. They are one of the first stalls on the front side of Asian Mall. The ladies that work there are all smiley and welcoming. We wanted to try their dumplings soup just to try and sample and found it tasty! I feel like I would love to come back & try a full serving for all of us when it starts to get colder (and we're all hungrier). It's a warm-hug, comfortable bowl of Asian soup. And the price is under or around $10 which is pretty affordable--and I love my cheap eats. We were not looking for a full meal and weren't really hungry enough for snacks, but honestly I just couldn't resist the cute pig buns. I didn't know what was inside honestly & thought maybe they were pork fillings? But it was a sweet custard--good, but unexpected. And honestly, I just really thought it was too cute to not get. Hainan chicken with veggie & rice was only $8.99. Yes, you heard that right. You can't get it in Las Vegas and San Francisco Bay Area for this quality and price point. Their Hainan chicken was actually boneless and tender white meat too. Ginger scallion taste was strong. Good combination good ingredients. It's packed tight in a small tray with lid. Very good eats here. Chicken was fresh and perfectly made. $10.99 for the BBQ pork with veggies & rice. Yes, can't beat this price here, but the BBQ pork was saltier than most. High in soy sauce. Tell me another great location that sells similar foods at this price point. Non-existent in San Jose, California. Dim sum options are reasonable. Everything tastes great and looks great. Credit cards accepted. The shopping mall is a ghost town here, but they really do have good Vietnamese restaurants and other foods here in the plaza. I decided to try this place out while checking out the Lunar New Year festivities. The issue with coming to this establishment during the festivities is that they are constantly out of stuff. You see what you like? Grab it right away because someone else will take it. I felt like I was at a Black Friday sale haha. I did like the shrimp and pork shumai, which is huge compared to what I get at other Chinese restaurants. They ran out of the meat steam buns, so I settled for one with a slightly sweet filling. The bun was soft and not tough and cold. I also got to taste the noodles, which were good when you're hungry, but it had a lot more oil than I prefer. We also got steamed veggies, which they threw in with the noodles. It didn't look like they gave us too much, unfortunately, since she was trying to squeeze in all the food in a few containers. We decided to give this food stall in the food court inside the Asian Garden Mall a try on a recent visit on a Monday in January 2025. The food looks decent and there's quite a variety, and we tried the shiu mai, xiaolongbao, and wonton noodle soup. Only the wonton soup was fairly decent. The shrimp and pork shiu mai was dry and tasted old. The xiaolongbao was lukewarm and lacked any juice. I had better samples from Costco. $8 for the shiu mai and $9 for the xiaolongbao is pretty pricey for food court food. The service was friendly but you may want to pay in cash as they charge a flat 3% for credit card payments. read more

This is a small dim sum place at the Asian Garden Mall in Little Saigon. I wasn't sure what to expect. The food ended up being pretty good. Har gow 4.5/5 - These shrimp dumplings were delicious. They gave us little packets of soy sauce and chili sauce for dipping. Shu Mai 5/5 - They have pork and shrimp shu mai. We went for the shrimp ones as they looked nicer. They were meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. BBQ Pork Bun 4/5 - These were fluffy with tasty pork fillings inside. Cilantro shrimp dumpling 4.5/5 - Not sure what the official name is, so I'm calling these by what they are. Taste similar to har gow but with cilantro inside. read more

Shut Mai looked like miniature size from h-mart frozen package. Chicken feet were tough to chew on. Chinese donuts were the only thing good and greasy. BBQ pork bun was solid cold. Come on guys... Their portions are larger than what I'm used to, but they're about $6 so it's fairly priced. Their shu mai and seaweed wrapped item is juicy and filled with meat. Their football is more pastry-like on the outside by having a slightly flaky feel. Their BBQ pork bun wasn't as saucy and sweet as I would have preferred, but their meat to bun ratio was very good. Overall, decent quality dim sum served all day with a drink bar next door. They serve milk teas and various sugarcane drinks all the way to size XL!
