Came to dim sum for the first time since covid. Just as good as we remembered! Perhaps better hubby recalls some of the dim sum dishes (siu mai) being smaller so he ordered two orders but they were larger. This was my sister and her family's first time trying dim sum (house tofu, siu mai, chicken feet, chinese leek dumplings, etc. and other regular menu dishes (house special fried rice and lo mein). It was a pretty good experience. Everyone liked the food for the most part. Brother in law really liked the siu mai but thought chicken legs were chewy/slimy. Hubby liked the chicken legs. Hubby ordered a Vietnamese coffee that was very strong. My sister got a passion fruit drink and my brother in law got a thai tea and a corona. Service was efficient and friendly. My kids ate fried rice and tried some of the dim sum dishes. Restaurant was quite busy, lively, and somewhat loud. Good and filling visit.

Literally my favorite dim sum place to exist, I make the 30 minute drive here whenever I'm craving dim sum because it's the best in the OC area. The dim sum is HUGEEE, especially the siu mai. The size really makes it so much juicier and satisfying to bite through, and it's packed with so much pork and shrimp. The siu mai is definitely my favorite, but other go-tos for the table are the har gow, sticky rice, ham sui gok, bbq pork rice rolls, and chicken feet. I also tried a new dish this most recent time, the tofu skin wrapped dumpling, and it was really good, I'll have to add this one to my regular order! It's definitely already a super popular spot, especially for large parties, so I'd recommend going early or getting takeout!

So popular but the wait wasn't too bad, it was like a 20 minute wait on a Saturday around 1pm. Once we got seated, you order from a picture menu with the server. I don't remember the last time I came here but I think it used to be carts but this is more efficient. We ordered the usual dim sum items, shrimp rolls, har gow, shu mai, chicken feet, soup dumplings, steam tofu skin roll, and pork ribs. The portion was big and we had left overs. Definitely cheaper here than San Diego. Hit the dim sum spot.

Super disappointed Would not come back. The dim sum was subpar. Ha Gow and Sui mai were not terrible but not great. The cheung fun was overcooked. The XLB soup dumplings were over salty on the dough. Everything was overly salty.

This review is mainly for their dim sum :) Dim sum is served everyday from 8:30am-3pm! Service was great during that time and everyone was friendly. It's nice to go on a weekday morning when there is barely anyone there which is what my husband and I did. Their selection is pretty good and everything tastes great but it can definitely add up on the bill. Overall, I think it is one of the better places to grab dim sum :)

Came to Seafood Cove 2 on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday dinner with a group of 9, and it was such a fun experience. We went all out and ordered a ton of dishes including clams in basil, lobster, Peking duck, honey walnut shrimp, and shaken beef. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. Honestly, every dish was a hit with the table. Service was great throughout the night. Our server even brought the lobster out for a quick photo op before it was taken back to be prepared, which made the night feel a little more special. We ended up with around 12 main entrees plus some drinks, and the total was surprisingly affordable for the amount of food we ordered. Definitely a solid spot for group dinners and celebrations. Only downside is parking can be a bit tricky, especially on a busy weekend night, so plan a little extra time for that. Overall, would absolutely come back!

The establishment needs to address how the line starts and where it starts. I came before they open and when they opened there was a big crowd in a circle.

Rating: 7.5/10 Authentic dimsum spot. We went here at 8:30am on Easter morning and it was poppin. They have everything here, and all dishes were authentic and solid. Would recommend!

One of my favorite places for dim sum. Only negative is the parking since it's in a high density area across from the landmark Asian Garden mall. We had a large party of 12 but food came out quickly amd wait staff was so pleasant! Everything was delicious and service was top notch, thanks to Iris! Everything we ordered was delicious: Shrimp noodle rice sheet rolls, fried shrimp ball, football, fried taro ball, almond tea soufflé (takes 40 minutes), spongy rice cake, steamed tofu skin roll, siu mai, chicken feet, beef tripe, pork ribs, sticky rice in lotus leaf, fried pork buns, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, braised honeycomb tripe with pork blood, and hot & sour soup.

Classic dim sum spot for any local. I went in a group of 4 on a Sunday around 10:15am and the wait was probably 10-15 minutes. The wait definitely got a lot longer closer to 11 though and I saw a lot of people waiting outside when I was leaving. You can join the Yelp waitlist online before getting there but you have to be within a 1 mile radius. Although the wait can get long, I would say the service is pretty efficient and they're quick getting people in and out Also, a good amount of items are ordered with the servers, but some items have to be ordered from the people pushing the carts around Siu mai: 5/5 this is always one of my favs and the pieces here were juicy and decently sized Har gow: 4/5 I like this dish but it wasn't anything crazy Soup dumplings: 4/5 I wish there was more soup and the dumpling wrapper was a little thinner but I liked the flavor Chinese broccoli w/ oyster sauce: 4/5 this was alright Shrimp rice noodle: 5/5 this is also one of my fav dim sum dishes

Came here on a Sunday at 9am. Location is on the 2nd floor. We used to frequent this place but have not been back for a few years. Mostly because the wait can get crazy if you arrive after 10:30 so we end up going to the Dim Sum company instead. Dragged myself out of bed to fight for myself in that parking lot. When we arrived we had to wait about 10 minutes. There were plenty of tables open but for bigger parties, which is understandable. When we got there we were told most of the items have to be ordered through the server with the exceptions of a few items. The servers were pretty attentive. It wasn't too crowded so they were able to pause a bit longer than they used to. We always joked that you'd have to bring your own water because it would be kind of hard to flag an employee down. But they're always super friendly. Due to a big open seating and the nature of its service, prepare for the hustle & bustle. Just an FYI if you have kids that are sensitive to loud noises & gets overstimulated. Fried seaweed roll: the regular filling (pork & shrimp) wrapped in seaweed and deep fried. My favorite. Fried seaweed gives it great umami. Pickled cucumber : very crunchy with spice Soup dumplings & Har Gow: admittedly, I did not try the soup dumplings but Har Gow was good. Different sauces were offered: sweet & sour, chili crunch, sriracha, & Chinese mustard (mustard must be requested) Leek Dumplings: this one surprised me. I've never had it before but it was very juicy and flavorful Salted Lava Bun: gooey salted egg yolk in the middle. The sweet & salty makes a great pair. The texture of the salted egg is grainy/sandy texture. This is its normal texture. Siu Mai: a staple. Big pieces and super juicy Sticky Rice: sticky and full of flavor. Great place but arrive early or be prepared to wait. We left around 10am and at that time there were 15 people waiting.

Variety including sui mai, fried seaweed roll, pork ribs, veggies, sausage bun, & 2 wet rolls (shrimp, pork).

    * Who: friend, partner, & I * What: random lunch * When: Thursday around noon * Why: random day off & craving dim sum * Space/Decor: located on the second floor. Parking could be a pain b/c it's always busy whenever I've gone. The space seems a bit cleaner & updated compared to the last time I went, with plenty of natural light coming from the windows, & an overall large space. * Service: standard. They were quick to seat us, they took our order fairly fast, & the food came out in good time. Not sure if the carts had stopped since the food came directly from the kitchen. They were also out of 1-2 drinks that we wanted. * Food: we got a variety of dishes, all of which were yum. The pricing is fair but can add up depending on how much you order. Everything was pretty much as expected. * Final Thoughts: authentic, semi-hidden dim sum spot that brings quality food without unnecessary frills at a good price. Would recommend & would definitely return. * Final Grade: B+ or 8.5/10

Went again last weekend, and it didn't disappoint. It was Friday mid day, and there was no wait. Ordered the soup dumplings, har gow, sui mai, cucumber salad, bbq pork rolls and salt and pepper ribs. All so good. Always quick with service, and it wasn't too noisy. Will be back.

The…read moredim sum at Seafood Cove2 is totally overrated and the crowd there made it very stressful so I used to come here, Seafood Paradise for dim sum in a relaxed atmosphere. In December 2023 my sister who lives in HB harbor claimed this resto was too far for her but finally decided to have a big Christmas Birthday party and invited 30, 40 people, the manager was not there and my usual server was not there either so I asked and was shocked at the news although I expected it, the new owner told me he had closed on the purchase that day and would change the name to White palace but he would keep the chef and the manager David but that was not the case. To me the best Chinese restaurants were Furiwa and Seafood Paradise. It was sad they failed to understand that w today economy dominated by social medias and if they do not follow the trend, they would be out of business, I told David the manager but he was so confused about what I was talking about. Bad restaurants that spent money on social medias thrived beyond comprehension. My sister ordered the usual wedding menu, 10 courses w lobster, steamed fish, etc..I knew immediately it was a new chef, the lobster was flavorless, almost every course was bland but many people I know have hay fever and with severe sneezing sometimes they lose their sense of taste on top of being born w less taste buds, it can be a curse to have too many taste buds as I was skinny all my life from not being able to enjoy eating till I started cruising when in the old days, cruise ship chefs were of Michelin caliber. My sister threw another big bash on Chinese/VN new year 2-10-2024, again 10 courses dinner and again everything was bland, there was not even enough salt in the food. I made no comment when asked bc everybody seemed to like it so who was I to say anything and I wanted to support the new owner, the service was great so that was a plus. I came by many times for dim sum and was disappointed the menu was limited, my favorite items were no longer offered. On 1-18-2026 my cousin had a big party, she is the Cai Luong singer and impresario, if my count was correct there were 20 tables, 200 attendants and many performers. Unfortunately for $60 to $75 pp, they could only offered 5 courses as they had to pay the performers. Needless to say, I could only eat the walnut shrimp and fried fish, the fried rice was not at all edible, what were they thinking? no salt, very little egg, I sure did not get fat!. I think 3 stars are generous as I was frustrated w the meal, I had no idea what the lead singer was singing/screaming about so loud in Saigonese! Lol! The dude was a VN version of Liberace!. I was there to keep up w long lost relatives, I sadly found out one had just died and I was not able to find out what happened bc the sound system was not functioning properly, it was blasting so loud, I was almost deaf in both ears! It was impossible to know what all the performers were saying. The manager if you read this please fix it, I have no idea how any wedding can take place w zero sound system unless it just went kaput on that one day. I'll tell my cousin to check on this before booking here again. I can't believe they also bought another restaurant on Edinger, Santa Ana, maybe it's just me but I don't like the all white chairs and table, I worked all my life in hospital and I'm not a fan of all white furniture, The old Seafood paradise had beautiful romantic looking pink flowers, table cloth and beautiful comfortable chairs. I'm glad they seem to be doing great, good for them, I'm not going back here but I plan to go to their 2nd resto. Unfortunately HB and Little Saigon do not have very good Chinese restaurants, I miss Hong Kong and all the 5 stars hotel ayce buffets in, I'm looking forward to my VN trip w all the good food unfortunately Yelp has no presence in VN. My camera always eats first, I have about 10,000 pictures of food in my IPhone from all my cruises and trips around the world, I enjoy looking and relive all my culinary experience. Kevin, Tuân, and Trieu answered all our questions clearly and helped us achieve our dream wedding. I am Vietnamese, and my husband is not, so they made accommodations to find menu items that would serve a multicultural guest list. The prices were very fair and transparent, and the 9 course menu was delicious. White Palace also decorated the restaurant for us and provided meaningful special touches like a champagne tower, special effects for the first dance, and a decorated sweetheart table. The restaurant and their staff made us feel valued and made our wedding shine. While doing wedding research, other venues had hidden charges while White Palace was all inclusive and reasonable. My only suggestion is that they should slice thinner cake slices. They sliced large slices so some of my guests did not receive cake while the guests who got cake didn't finish theirs. I would gladly recommend White Palace to anyone who is planning a wedding.

There wasn't anyone eating there when we went on a weekday morning so service was super quick! It's a huge space though so I'm sure it gets more rowdy on the weekends. We tried the classic dim sum dishes. The shumai was a bit dry for me but was still overall pretty good. The rice rolls with shrimp had a very good sauce and it was super addicting! The only one that disappointed us were the soup dumplings, which fell apart because they stuck to the bottom. Also there just wasn't very much soup in them to begin with. Both of our favs were the baby ribs, which were so soft and flavorful. The fried shrimp balls were also good and were made to order so they were super crispy and fresh! I really liked the chili oil here because it actually had a kick. For dessert, we ended off with their egg tarts that were crispy, sweet, and delicious!! I'd definitely come back because this is a lot better experience compared to waiting hours for some of the places in OC.

So the service here is still pretty atrocious in my opinion. So I don't really come in anymore…read more Maybe it's because I grew up with it and I'm in love with their dim sum. But their food is still great most of the time. I now just get to go and eat at home or eat somewhere else so I don't have to deal with their service. I like the new update and the modern look of the restaurant but I feel that it's taking away. It's warmth. It feels a little more clinic-y if that makes sense. I'll probably update again if anything changes or if a family member is dying to go here. I just get really upset thinking about how I have two aunts in my last example that we've gone ands server. Who's been there for ages treats you different based on I guess your tipping and to me that's a put off. He is also very crass, and his jokes are kind of gross. The owner does try and go around. But the last time I've gone, she kinda just sat there. My last experience while in the restaurant was that there were maybe four or five tables of people about 2 to 4 in each table. And this was after dim sum time so there are no carts going around. And even though their staff was pretty full service was so slow. The food was kind of extra greasy and it gave a lot of us. Bad stomach aches. I still debate how bad I want dim sum when I have to go here. But at least their dim sum is still great! I really hope that the place does turn around because when I drive by I see how empty it's gotten and it makes me sad that my favorite place is not doing as well. Cross fingers!
