Wanted fresh live lobster and this place had the best price per lb. To give you an idea, Kings Fish House was $67/lb, the other Capital Seafood at Irvine Spectrum was $45/lb, and this place was like $28.99/lb. So we made the drive to Garden Grove. What stood out to me over the Capital Seafood in Irvine was the much friendlier service and the 90s R&B music in the background which was cool. Got the Lobster with house special sauce, Roasted duck with steam buns ($50), and Sautéed Pea sprouts veggies. * The lobster was definitely the star but just know the sauce is very buttery so may try a lighter sauce next time. Also still needed to crack some pieces so hands got really dirty (4/5) . * The duck was unfortunately too dry and tough and skin not so crispy so I will prob skip next time. But portion was good. (3/5) * The peasprout veggies were good and had a nice crunch but needed a little more salt. (4/5) Hot Tea was smooth, seating comfy. Only thing it was freezing cold and they should prob drop the AC a few degrees. The white girl server was super nice and always checked on us. Overall good experience and will be back.

Walked in and were greeted. Place is clean. We got sat right away. It was a Sunday so good amount of people were dining but not packed. As soon as we were sat menus were given and a tea pot was brought out. Tea was fresh and soothing. We ordered Mongolian beef, kung pao squid and lobster fried noodles. Everything was made fresh to order. Great place to take Family to dine .

We were looking for a Chinese restaurant in Garden Grove yesterday and had seen all the recent reviews for Capital Seafood. Since there were only two of us there we knew we'd be bringing home a lot of food. We ordered salt and pepper shrimp, a beef dish, deep fried tofu and some stir fried green beans with pork. All the dishes were delicious and cooked well. Service was great as we had come before the restaurant was busy at 5pm. The restaurant itself seemed clean and was setup to handle large groups of. It was a bit dated and could use a refresher. Unfortunately the bathroom was not very clean and they need to work on that.

I've been going to Capital Seafood with my friends and family for a very long time, and after a very long hiatus, I finally got to try it again with my brother. The dishes were cooked to perfection, and if you're having that house special type of feeling alongside some really great and fresh seafood, I highly recommend the Capital Seafood restaurant, as now the son is a current owner and executive chef. Really great for the dishes overall around. I highly recommend the house special fish and the house special squid. Adding on to this, we also got an order of clams and, of course, the salt and pepper shrimp. All really delicious and it really hit the spot. 10 out of 10 would recommend, especially for a family night out or just a nice fun night with friends as well too. Service was quick and easy, and they really upped the decor in this place!

I've been going here since I was less than ten years old and the food still tastes just as good. We got the sweet and sour fried filet fish, canh chua (hot sweet, sour, and spicy cat fish soup), stir fried spinach, and kung pao chicken. Before this visit, I haven't been back for about 8 years! I drove past and saw they remodeled so I was curious if the food still tasted the same and it is just as good as I remembered. This place will always be my go to for family style dinner!

Came back to try this restaurant after the remodel. This was our go to place way back in the day for family gatherings. It was nice to go back to try everything. It was fantastic!!! All of our dishes were great! Perfect portions, food came out hot and steamy. Service was great! It's how I remember everything except the decor and ambience was remodeled for the better.

Came here on a Sunday. Party of two seated immediately. Service was quick! Venue is good for groups. This place reminds me of good authentic Chinese cuisine. We ordered the house special lobster, beef luc loc, and pan fried noodles. The lobster is based on market price. It was $32 per pound when we went. Smallest lobster was 3.5 lbs. They actually brought the live lobster out to show us before it was cooked! Poor guy didn't stand a chance! (Sorry don't mean to offend anyone). The lobster was fresh but a bit on the Spicy side. So if you can take the heat! This was a win win! My favorite was the beef cubes - dipped in salt pepper and lemon - sooo good over white rice. Trust. My hums and loved the pan fried noodles... crispy and fluffy. Just like me. Overall good experience. If you're ever in Westminster and craving Chinese food - they won't disappoint!!

Came on a Sunday evening. Parking was easy and my party of 10 got seated immediately. Service was great quick, kind, and fast. It took me many years of coming here to finally perfect my order that everyone loved no notes. - House specials shrimp add garlic noodles 5/5 MUST if you get anything order this the shrimps are huge and this dish is so much better than lobster bc you don't have to pry it out of the shell - Honey walnut shrimp 4/5 could use more flavor I dip it in sate and soy sauce - House special fresh squid 5/5 my favorite crispy salty flavorful (you can also get noodles under this) - Fresh squid with salt and pepper 4/5 could be more flavorful but just as for more salt pepper and lemon on the side to dip it in - Pan fried whole fish I don't eat fish but ordered for the family if you like fish get it as it's always a first to be finished - Kung pao chicken 5/5 always a must so tender and flavorful - Sautéed peasprouts 5/5 needed veggies - Sateed ong choy 5/5 daily veggie intake needed and done - Pot of white rice 4/5 rice is rice it is needed for all this salty food Everyone left happy and fully highly recommend my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area.

First time here and the food is so comforting. I order teo chew seafood clay pot, sautéed Ong choy, house special pork chop, and fish with black bean. Everything that we order is very authentic and delicious. The ingredients that are using is very fresh and very flavorful. The hot jasmine tea has smooth taste and little bit of bitterness. Balance out the heavy meal. The service is fast and the waitress is very nice and attentive. The restaurant is clean but I can smell the cleaning chemicals around the dining area. Overall it's a good experience and definitely will be back!!

When paying the bill they give an orange as courtesy.

Hours: Mon, Wed-Sun: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM Tuesday: Closed Came here around lunch Lunch dishes are 14$ a plate. I was craving salt and pepper pork chops hence the name "salt and pepper," but it was more SALT than anything. Overly fried and excessively salty too much fish sauce. We ordered mang cua soup but were initially brought a different soup, which was later clarified. The house special chicken and basil clams stood out as the better dishes with more balanced flavor. Although there were small hiccups. The waitstaff were attentive and responsive to our requests. Our plates and a teacups was dirty, which was gross . Coffee was average, mediocre at best, dragonfruit lemonade was not too sweet so a plus for that. Overall, an average experience with a few highlights, but some inconsistencies in seasoning, order accuracy, and cleanliness. ‍

My husband and I went here for my birthday dinner date because I specifically wanted to eat lobster with garlic noodles for dinner. I'm so glad we ended up going here because it did not disappoint! Super friendly service, incredibly delicious food, and whoever was controlling the playlist should get a raise because it was the BEST of vibes. Can you think of anything better than eating lobster while listening to SZA?! We did not expect that at all. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely be going back again with the rest of the family! Food we had: -House special Lobster w/garlic noodles (5/5) An employee brings out the lobster to your table before cooking it. Definitely worth the value and the added garlic noodles complimented the dish -Fried tofu (5/5) Large generous portions -House special fish fillet (5/5) Sooooo so tasty and addicting! It was still crispy even though there was a slight coating of sauce

You know what they say, if the service is bad, the food is going to be good haha! And yes some of the servers were a tad rude here and there but we came for the lunch specials. Service wise, to reiterate yes they were a little rude but got our order correct. It takes them a while to get water like what some other review said and you can see some of the servers bickering and getting mad at each other too but whatever. The main point is the food and is why we initially came here. Our go to spot seafood port closed down and we've been trying to find a nearer spot to replace that. And so far it got the approval of my dad because he's the Chinese food connoisseur and he said compared to other Chinese spots, it's sweeter and has a lighter flavor and made him question if they even use MSG. But let's say the lunch special portions are worth it! And we will be back for it. Aside from that. I also judge places based off their bathrooms and it was pretty clean but I did notice that the soap dispenser was broken... and I wasn't going to dip my hands in that soap. So brings me to question them, are they washing their hands after use? Food 5/5 Service 3.5/5 Bathroom 2.5/5

Solid Chinese/Viet restaurant, complete with glass turntables and hot jasmine tea! I like this place a lot, I think it's homely and nostalgic. The servers are kind and very hardworking. Flavors are big and garlicky! But big flavors also come with a lot of sodium, so you'll be knocked out for the rest of the day lol. But it's worth it if you're willing to take the plunge :)

You can order selected meat as separate to be added to your current AyCE plan. What's separate this place from others is that you can choose to have a divider and not. Divider is an option if you/your party don't like mixing stuff with another broth. Chose no divider. Drinks are included as well, water is by request only if you don't like soda (Pepsi products) Like other AyCE hot pots, there's the area where it has all your selected vegetables, seafood, noodles and sauces. All are continently label so you know what you are getting. There's an area where selected hot sides are there like pad sew/fried rice and even fried gyoza. Choosing no divider can be overwhelming because then pot is so big that not even four full plates is not enough to cover the whole pot. Was eating for over 30 minutes and I just realized I forgot I got shrimp Only complaint is that getting house spicy broth can be annoying because you will be scooping up those red schwann peppers everytime you dive into your hotpot. Turns out, it wasn't nearly as crowded as before - though spoiler: the price has increased a lot (I want to say it was $25/lb 10 years ago, and now is $37/lb). Keep in mind too, you can't get a small amount like 1lb - usually it's gonna be 3+lb so your bill is easily going to hit mid-$100 to $200s from the lobster alone. That being said, many people swear this is the best, and that's why they can charge whatever they want. I'm actually allergic to lobster (lol) but am a team player so I just sampled it for the funsies, and had to get another dish to actually eat (went with the beef lok luk). My family said the lobster noodle was good, but not like, fantastic (which we were expecting not fantastic but yeah, mostly came here to a family meeting.) The beef lok luk was also pretty good like, 4.3 of 5 - we just had another version at Paradise which was astounding (like 4.6) though also more expensive and pretty far away. Overall, not sure if we'll come back again as we're more curious about the copycats that have popped up which might be 80% as good and much more affordable. Stay tuned! :)

Been coming to Seafood Cove for the longest time, still one of the OG spot for Chinese restaurants…read morein OC. My friends was craving for some house specials lobster and I was craving for honey walnut shrimp. We came around 5pm on a sunday before the dinner rush. A party of 3 we ordered 5 dishes the main 2 dish we came for 1. House specials lobster with noodles 5/5 The house special sauce for the lobster is so good. , the lobster was meaty, noodles smothered in that house special sauce, delicious. 2. Honey Walnut Shrimp 6/5. Ive been craving for this dish for the longest time and it didn't disappoint. The walnut shrimp was fried golden brown delicious, plump shrimp, the sauce was perfect and not overly drenched. The candied walnut nice crunch and sweetness. Definitely hit the spot and satisfied my craving.

Haven't been here in awhile. Decided to return for the lunch menu deal…read more I got the salt and pepper shrimp. This is always a must. It was good. Not bad at all. $15.95 it's cooked the same everywhere so if I can get it for a deal, I'm def down! Got the clams also. This dish was plentiful for a lunch special. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Nothing bad at all. Whole fried fish. Man this dish was tiny!!! The fish was tiny!!! It was tasty due to the sauce, but the fish itself was TINY!!! lol 2/5 stars. Everyone orders this but it's just too small for family style meal. House special fish filet. Yeah this was good but I tasted a lot more batter than the actual fish itself. I think seafood cove 2 cooks this better. 2/5 stars for this also Crap asparagus soup. 2/5 stars Naaaah not worth it. Don't order this lol. Save urself the money. Bland and boring. The service was great. They gave us plastic utensils for the kids. And also cups for the kids (styrofoam cups since the kids are messy and tend to drop things) Overall, it's a bit dirty. Parking sucks hardcore. Food is mediocre. But service is good. When you pay, you get oranges as dessert at the end. Seafood cove 2 is def better and plentiful parking compared to this place.
