SO GOOD! I just love trying a little bit of everything and dim sum is one of the best ways to do so. Dim Sum Cafe is a small restaurant serving up made-to-order (i.e. no cart action), mouthwatering dim sum and Chinese cuisine, in the south Summerlin area. We've been here twice so far and service is friendly and efficient! We found ourselves in the neighborhood again and remembered this gem was nearby. Not a minute wasted before we dialed in for a reservation. To our delight, 12pm was the soonest; Just a 15-minute wait. By 1pm, there was a line! Plenty of parking in this small plaza called Hualapai Pavillion Center. Our favorites on the Dim Sum menu so far are the BAKED BBQ PORK BUNS, SPINACH MUSHROOM DUMPLINGS, SHRIMP SHUMAI, and the CURRY CREAM CHEESE WONTONS. If you'd like to try the Sugarcane Shrimp, let them know early on since it'll take about 20 mins to make. The custard tarts and coconut buns are nice options for dessert. They're not too sweet and pair well with the hot tea. Prices are right, ranging from $2.75 to $6.96 per plate. Don't delay and give this lil dim sum cafe a try! read more

Food is good , servers are not nice . Rude and when getting food to go they just throw that food in the containers in the bag !!!!! Food is falling out of the containers and they act annoyed if you need to fix it or need anything else and I tip good !! Why!!! I think it's different owners but not appreciate of business read more

Food was good overall, some things great and some things not. But, it's essentially the only option for dim sum in Summerlin area so you really can't complain too much given that it's so convenient. They are fast with take out too so with trying if you want a dim sum hit quick. read more

Dim sum lacked flavor. Good service and great that they have pictures of menu items. We ordered duck and the skin wasn't crispy. We also ordered Chinese broccoli that was over steamed. It's too bad that this place was just okay because it's in a good location. read more

If I could leave zero stars, that would happen. This is our second time here and the same thing happens with service- they are rude, food takes forever to come out, and they don't check in on you what's so ever. First time it was busy, so we gave it a pass as to why things took so long, but today there were literally 4 tables here when we came. We ordered immediately and 20 minutes later I'm flagging down a busser to see where our food is. Another server then comes to take our order again, and when I tell her that we already ordered with the manager she says "oh okay" then walks to the back. We hear them yelling to each other then magically one of the many dishes we ordered appears on the table. I don't know what it is, maybe you need to complain here in order to get served, because the table behind us also needed to flag someone down to get their order as well. read more

We stumbled across Dim Sum Cafe and so glad we did. The food was really good. This is not a traditional dim sum restaurant with carts. You sit down, choose what you want on the menu and place your order. The prices were very reasonable. They would've gotten a 5 Star if the server was more friendly. The guy srververs were nice but the female server errr.... Overall, the food is delicious. read more

The dim sum is fair. The price is good. The pork shu mai was very flavorful in that the pork flavor came through. The rest of the items we ordered were okay...not much flavor. We got deep fried meat balls, shrimp har gow, steamed beef tripe, mushroom dumplings, pan friend chive dumplings, and shrimp in rice noodle roll. The noodles in the shrimp roll were not silky soft as they are at other places. They were on the tougher/chewy side. The restaurant is in a strip mall with many parking spaces. read more

I finally found a decent dim sum spot in Vegas. I was accustomed to dim sum cafes on every corner when I lived in SF and needed my dose of some dumplings. The service is straightforward, kind, and ready to get food on your table. The restaurant has a lovely family vibe with many customers all over Vegas. I wish the food were cheaper, like those places that give you the dim sum in pink boxes, but it'll have to do. read more

I'm a fan! First time ordering delivery and the food did not disappoint. Sometimes you just want greasy Chinese food but still quality, you know what I mean? General Tso's chicken - arrived crispy and has stayed crispy after being in the fridge, not drenched in sauce. Just the right amount. Mongolian beef - probably my favorite. So good with white rice! Again, just enough sauce and flavor. Onions and bell peppers cooked with still a crunch. Snow pea leaves - my must have veggie dish any time I have dim sum. I come here every time I come to Vegas. It reminds me of the Chinatowns in NY and SF. Their dim sum is great, esp the lotus rolls and the pea shoots. For me it's the food. The atmosphere is ok, the service is fine. They don't do the rolling carts, but the food is terrific. I highly recommend this place to all my friends coming to LV. read more

Yesterday we had a early dinner here. I'm giving one star because I was disappointed with the bill. I was surprised that they added 18% tip on the bill for party of 5. But I was more shocked that they have another box to add tip. If you don't pay attention you are double tipping. Very DECEITFUL practice. Food- dim sum items are semi cold when they come out. Service- waitress is very grouchy with RBF. Waiter was a lot friendlier and helpful. read more

Very friendly staff and good food for good price. It was our first time here and I don't think it'll be our last. This review is for takeout only :) We are normally never in the area, but after looking around at wedding venues, we decided to order some takeout to eat in the car before our next venue appointment. They are offering socially distanced tables for dine in, but we weren't ready to be inside a restaurant. All servers were wearing masks and gloves and there were no carts in sight :) It was our first time here andddd Overall, ordered inside and it took about 25 minutes after our order to get it. Easy! The menu for dim sum is straightforward with pictures. We decided to get the usual dim sum favs such as shumai, shrimp har gow, shrimp rice noodle, sticky rice in lotus leaves, and egg tarts. We also decided to try their chive dumpling! In terms of food, I'm very surprised! We don't think there are many good dim sum places here as there are back in Cali, but this one may be on the list! I greatly enjoyed the shrimp rice noodle, har gow, and rice in lotus leaves! They were fairly large compared to others we've had, and well wrapped! The chive dumplings were a surprise as well! Very juicy although it was pan fried, tastes very fresh! Finally, the egg tarts! The shell was soooooo flaky and deserved an award on its own. I would have liked a little more crunch, but the multiple flaky layers were soooo good! Definitely will be going here again for dim sum. 4 stars only because we couldn't get the fully immersive dim sum experience to eat it fresher and we felt that Some of the prices seemed a bit high for certain items. PS. Make sure you get the sauces! Chilli oil, all the sauces for the shrimp noodle, and some soy sauce when getting it to-go! read more

They have dim sum here all day! Everything was pretty good and they have a good selection of options for all day dim sum. The salt and pepper shrimp was delicious - crispy and hot. Would definitely come here again when I'm craving dim sum at odd hours. We went around 7pm on a Friday night so service was kinda slow since they were pretty busy. First time here and we came for a late lunch. Lots of parking. There was a good crowd, but we didn't have to wait for a table. Food was tasty. There were a lot of Chinese so know it must be good... We order from here all the time. In the beginning, around 2022, dim sum was ok but the specialty dishes were excellent. We mainly ordered salted fish chicken fried rice and the crispy noodles. Now in 2024, dim sum has improved but the specialty dishes are not as good. Went here last night (Wednesday) Ordered online for in person pickup... Brought it home and unfortunately the regular Shu Mai was sour... I tolerated and ate most of it, sharing with my furbabies as well. Priced more than reasonable but you get what you pay for... I ONLY recommend the mushroom Shu Mai and the Shrimp Shu Mai and chicken feet; everything else was subpar or mediocre.... No condiments included yikes... Well priced again but only three items hit the mark so sad. My friend and I were in the area and got hungry around 3:30pm. Found this place on Yelp and decided to check them out! It wasn't busy when we walked in. We got seated immediately and I love that their menu had pictures since I forgot my reading glasses and struggled a bit. But we place our order and the food came out about 10-15 minutes later. We ordered the hot & sour soup, which was very tasty and delicious!! Got our house special fried rice, calamari and sweet & sour pork. The food was great! It was savory and delicious! No dim sum carts because of Covid but you order from the picture off the menu and they bring your order in the steaming pots so it's basically the same thing. Had the Chinese broccoli in a very spicy chili oil it was perfect and some puffy cloud deliciousness. read more

Credit cards accepted. Prices are still reasonably cheaper than other Dim Sum places around here. Delicious. Great staff. Fast clean up and delivery of foods. Foods are fresh and hot. Not bad during inflation times. Authentic Cantonese Dim Sum flavors. Lots of public parking in the lot outside. No lines or wait time to dine in on Monday morning. Lots of available seats and tables in the center rows since earlier customers get seated by the windows first. Best one was the soft baked sweet cream pineapple buns because there was custard cream filling inside of them. That's not what you would normally find in any pineapple buns for Dim Sum. Excellent buns. Bowl of egg pork porridge was delicious too. Excellent porridge. Staff was extremely efficient and checked up on customers throughout the visit. Came here after reading reviews and glad to say everything is a solid 4 out of 5! Parking is plentiful and easy, service was brisk and food comes fast. I wish they would use real Chinese soup spoons and the XLB didn't come with special dipping sauce which was a disappointment but everything else for dim sum was solid. We will come back to try the other Canto treats like beef ho fun (dry) which looks legit! Pleased! read more

Our new go to spot for a quick, affordable and delicious meal! We've come to dine in here a few times now and ordered takeout as well. Every time it's been a great experience here. The food is ready super quick, the staff is fast and attentive. The prices are super affordable. And most importantly the food is delicious!! Our favorites are the sweet cream bun, orange chicken, fried veggie dumplings, and the baked bbq bun. Although I don't think you can go wrong ordering any of the dim sum here, it's all delicious. This place needs some serious upkeep! The food is good... a taste of China town in Summerlin! But the place is not mentained well. All of the live plants are all dried up... they needed watering but no one seems to care. The Christmas tree that greets at the doorway have been since the Christmas... two years ago. The Halloween decor is the same.... years old. Same deal with the Lunar New Year decor! The wait staff is semi-attentive but needs a lot of work on their social skills and proper client interface. They are too loud and always fighting with someone in the kitchen. I hope this reaches the owner of the place and I hope that he/she cares. There's really a lot to this place, it just needs to do some polishing... It could easily be a 5 star chines place in Summerlin! read more

For anyone from Seattle this is spot on with what you would expect from Dim Sum. Fast, efficient, and good. Will this be a Michelin star place? Probably not. Good location with lots of parking. Inside is also spacious. There was no wait for a Friday night. We ordered pork belly, chicken feet, shumai, shark fin, hot tea and Thai tea. The pork belly seemed old because it was dry and very chewy. I was very disappointed with that. Also the shark fin and shumai weren't very tasty. I'm usually a fan of shumai. The chicken feet were ok but too gamy. Other dim sums don't usually leave that. Idk maybe it was just me but I wasn't too happy and also it felt like everything had the same flavor. read more

Haven't been to a sit down dim sum place since we moved here two years ago and so when a friend was open to try something new, you had better believe I took advantage! Easy to get to but parking lot isn't that large. Luckily it's not a packed center but it was pretty full at noon on a Sunday. It's not your conventional looking dim sum place but instead looks like it was a Panera type place. They do not do carts but instead are smart enough to have a full menu that is categorized by price and labeled in English and Chinese AND with a color picture. I can't tell you how many times people are too scared to order dim sum or you get slapped with a giant bill because of a lack of information. This was perfect. My friend and I set our sights on 1) stuffed eggplant, mushroom shumai, bbq pork steamed bun, deep fried meatball, shrimp rice noodle, pork shumai, and an order of combination chow fun. All of this ended up being $32 which is such a deal for what we got. Looking at some other places, it would have been nearly $50. Similarly to traditional dim sum places they do bring food out spaced out. We wanted to get our full table picture so we waited until it all came out. But luckily everything was still warm and flavorful. The tea was hot but not scalding and cut through any grease and cleansed our palates perfectly. We truly were extremely happy with our time here. I have been to my fair share of dim sum and yes, it helped that I was starving, but everything had great texture, flavor, and color. Service was very attentive, almost so much that we were asked by five different people if we had placed our drink order or if we were ready to order. I do miss the carts and the giant lazy Susans but this place kept my stomach and wallet very happy. read more

I went here with a party of 3 just a couple minutes after opening. We were seated right away and our first server was just fine. I'm not sure how they work their tables but after we ordered our first round another lady came to take our order. She took our orders and then took our menus. We asked to keep one and she said no because they needed them. She asked if there was anything else we wanted to order because we wouldn't be able to order anymore due to them being busy. I was very confused and confirmed that she said we couldn't order any more. She repeated that they were busy and the wait for food would be 40 minutes so we couldn't order anymore. After finishing the food that was brought to us on our second round, we waited for at least 20 minutes for an order that never came. Eventually we had to ask another server for the check. Once we got our check, we were charged for the order that never came so we had to go to the front to get it taken off. The same lady who told us we couldn't order anymore was at the register and completely ignored us. She rung up two other checks and walked away. We had to ask a random server walking by to pay (which we were also ignored). The lady came back, fixed the check, and took our payment. The food was pretty good. I was so excited to find a new dim sum place, but I don't think I can go back to a restaurant that treated my party so badly. The dim sum was not as bad as some say and I'm not a racist so I don't mind the non Asian serving staff plus they're quite friendly and they actually speak intelligible English. The selection of dim sum is about the same as most dim sum places although they don't have har gow but they have four didn't types of shumai which is great since my friend was allergic to shrimp. I personally really liked the beef shumai. They did not have turnip cake but I'm not one that needs it during dim sum. Their steamed bbq pork buns were another welcome surprise with them being very soft and the baked were even softer although they stuck to the paper placed underneath it a little too much. I had a beef curry pie/puff and the curry inside oozed out and tasted magical. And the selection of sweets is enormous compared to most places with four types of rice cake ranging from the traditional white to strawberry to chocolate to mango. I also tried their coconut custard which had more coconut than custard but I won't blame them for that. With cold desserts there was blueberry pudding, taro pudding, and the usual coconut. I had the taro and you could taste that there is actual taro in it. All in all I thought it's a nice little place that is closer and I'll definitely be back for more of their sweets. read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dim Sum Cafe and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Not only do they offer a variety of delicious dim sum options, but they also have an excellent selection of vegan options. In particular, I highly recommend trying their vegan pan fried vegetable dumplings - they are out of this world! The texture and flavor of the dumplings were absolutely perfect, and when paired with some sweet soy sauce and chili oil, it's a match made in heaven. Wow. So just finished dinner here with my family. They've been many times and had great things to say about it so I was excited to try. First impression was good, restaurant was clean and quite. The service was ok, I had to physically go and get a tub for our dirty dishes because no one came around to bus the table. The food for the most part was ok. Some of the dishes were extremely salty. Now when my dad went to go pay he was shocked to find that the server added a 18% gratuity for 5 people!!!! I've never heard of that before. When I went back in to ask they said, "the computer adds it automatically" I'm in the service industry you have to manually add gratuity!! I'm sorry but we won't be back! This was our first visit, and compared to Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong, this place holds up pretty well. The orders arrived lightning-fast, piping hot, and oh-so-fresh. We dove into a total of 13 dishes, each one holding its own charm. The Chinese broccoli stole the show with its incredible flavor, followed closely by the Chicken Siomai and the melt-in-your-mouth chicken feet. The lo mein was a standout, boasting perfectly cooked noodles that hit the spot. And let's not forget the beef bun - baked to absolute perfection, it was a taste sensation. Overall, the food here is top-notch. I'd easily give them five stars if it weren't for the minor inconvenience of having to request saucers, napkins, and water. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant is a repeat weekly for my busy work schedule and family. The ingredients are fresh- I love fresh waterchestnuts- the dishes are consisent. The name threw me off didn't realize they're open for full dinner menu at first. I read a review about the dim sum is frozen. that must have been a vindictive competitor because these owners also own The huge restaurant Orchid Garden on Sahara & Lindell. If they were going to get dim sum from anywhere else other than their own kitchen it would be a lot cheaper just to get from their other location Food excellent. no MSG and the place is immaculate HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

Absolutely outstanding dim sum! Every dish was freshly made, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The har gow and siu mai were delicate yet flavorful, the turnip cake had a perfect crisp edge, and the egg tarts were warm and flaky with just the right amount of sweetness. The service was prompt and friendly, and the tea was always hot and flowing. You can truly taste the care and tradition in every bite. I hate that this place got a bad rap when it first opened and can't get above 3 1/2 stars now. It's one of my favorite spots in town for dim sum and noodle soups. The dim sum is made fresh instead of sitting on a cart all day. Price can't be beat and service is excellent - it's a great family-owned local business to support. Try the steamed pork dumplings, shrimp hargow, baked cream buns, steamed pork buns and beef udon. Oh ya - and they DELIVER dim sum during all hours of operation. read more

I visited Dim Sum for the first time and had a great experience! As someone new to dim sum, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the staff made the experience easy and enjoyable. I tried the shrimp dim sum, and it was really good--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly steamed. It was a great introduction, and now I'm excited to come back and try more dishes next time! read more

Its a small place with some oriental decoration. Very simple. The food is served a dish at a time so that it is fresh and hot! The service is simple and great. Very friendly. The food is very close to what we usually eat in Los Angeles. If you like good dim sum, then this is the place. The price is very reasonable! You will never be disappointed! read more

Found myself craving dim sum but not feeling well and feeling lazy so decided to try take out once more....So close to my cousins and thought why not? Should not unfortunately....Not sure if chef changed but food got worse, over cooked or undercooked!!! read more

This restaurant is not bad for being away from Chinatown. Their Dim Sum is just so so I am from San Francisco and just use to the taste and quality from dim sum there. Delivery driver was prompt and friendly, not sure if I will order from here again. read more

Dim Sum Cafe is a must-try for anyone looking for fresh and delicious dim sum. The selection is impressive and the service is surprisingly good. The drive from Henderson to Summerlin is worth it for this hidden gem of a restaurant. read more

They never explained how the ayce menu worked so we kinda just winged it. There's 2 price points on the paper but we didn't know which comes with what price point. I love a restaurant with a lot of options so this was a great start. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and smelt great inside. Now to the real showstopper the food. I eat a lot of Thai food and have dined at many Thai restaurants and I will say this is the best I have had. I ordered the Thai Sausage Fried Rice, and had them add Chinese Broccoli to it. I also ordered a Thai iced tea for my beverage. Which I will also say was exceptional. No back to the rice the flavor was amazing, the vegetables were fresh and well cooked. The Thai sausage was delicious as well and is now my favorite meat to put in fried rice. I wanted to order so many more dishes but since I was alone I only ordered one thing. I definitely will be back so I can try other things they offer. I highly recommend Mr. ChopStix you will not be disappointed. The prices are so reasonable as well especially for the quality of the food. The staff here is amazing Chef Guy came out and spoke to me directly and let me know that these are his grandmothers recipes. Not only do they offer Thai dishes, but also Chinese dishes as well. This is the TRUE Asian cuisine.
