Swung by here to grab some food for Mother's Day. I wasn't sure how to order initially because it was busy. But then learned the workers referenced to a paper that I needed to fill out and list all I wanted. Easy! Did that turned it in and the service was great! The lady who I believe is one of the owners had asked if I was sure I wanted what I was ordering due to the volume of my order and that sometimes people don't know that there are 3 pork buns per single order, which was a nice gesture. Got the food and I really liked the food! It was delicious!! The shrimp cheung fun AKA shrimp rice noodle was extra noodly and I love that! The BBQ pork buns were hella good! Food: I'd compare the quality to other to go dim sum spots such as Lucky 8 (in Monterey Park), Ocean Bo (El Monte) and the dim sum cafes inside the local supermarkets. Quality is probably the best in comparison to those. My shiu mai was piping hot and juicy even after a 15 minute drive home. I'd definitely come back to try their cheap breakfast special some day. To satisfy the Chinese craving for cheap and food, this is a decent place. Ordered 19 dishes just to be able to tell what's up. The best offerings: baked and steamed baos, chicken feet, turnip cake, ha-gow. Shrimp in dim sum are kinda small, but doable. Have been craving for dimsum so long, we found this place on the Facebook group with a lot of good reviews,so we gave it a try, and regret I tried to order from the website and went pick up. When we arrived, the lady said their system broke down and didn't get our order. So she gave us pen and paper to tick the dimsum. We drove 15mins to home and unpack everything. Dimsum are COLD. It's okay we microwave them and even pan fried the radish cake. Turn out the dim sum quality is horrible. The chicken feets were not soft, ha gou skin were ripped, the rice noodles taste funny.... Quality dim sum at a fantastic price! Unlike other places who have several pricing tiers (e.g. S,M,L), this place has most of their dim sum at a low price of $2.88 per dish. They have a total of 36 items at that price, and 3 items priced at $3.88 because those are made to order. They also have entrees you can order for $7.39 and $8.99. The inside has a few small tables so I wouldn't recommend this place for a large group. However you can always order to go and have a dim sum party at home. Each table has soy sauce, sriracha, black pepper, and a wire rack filled with styrofoam plates and disposable utensils. It's obviously not the fanciest place but you don't have to worry about unwashed dishes. Food ranked from best to last: Shiu Mai: I'm so glad they gave 5 per order because these are delicious balls of goodness. Har Gow: There's a lot of shrimp in these and the skin has just the right about of chewiness. Haim Sui Gok (glutinous dumplings): These are huge but there's not a lot of filling in these. That's okay though because I like to eat these for the outer layer anyways. The outside is so crispy yet super chewy like mochi. Garlic Spare Ribs: There's actually a lot of meat on these ribs unlike other places that have more bones than meat. These are nicely seasoned and not too salty. The pieces of taro underneath are also so good. Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll: I was surprised by the large serving since it was so cheap but ours came with just a few shrimp and a lot of rice noodle. There's plenty of sauce though so you're not left with dry rice noodles once the shrimp is gone. BBQ Pork Bun: This was pretty much 90% bun. The filling was good but there was just so little of it. For a small place owned by two people, I think it's delicious! I love that it's around the corner from my momma house. I had to wait ten minutes for some rice noodle rolls (to go order) but my boyfriend and I just sat and ate some of the things we already had in hand while we waited. So yummy! I hope this place sticks around! I read a lot of the one-star reviews... and I can understand the disappointment and frustration about not having certain dishes and whatnot but come on. So happy that there is a good Dim sum place next to my work. We went for lunch, around 2pm on a week day. For being in a random location, it's not bad. I really liked the leek and shrimp dumplings the best. Honestly I would give this place a 3.5, because some of the dim sum could have been fresher, but the flavors across the board were excellent. Ha Cheung Fun, AKA shrimp in the Noodles were just ... ok. The seasoning was good, but the noodles were congealed and over cooked. Would give it another chance, because they are normally my favorite. This is a small take out only spot located next to Hello Boba. Items are $3.68 for the dimsum items as of May 2021. I had high hopes since there are many good reviews. Pros: -wide selection for those who don't like shrimp or cant eat shrimp -the actual pieces of food are pretty large. Thickest turnip cake ever (not crispy though if that is what you're looking for -pictures for every item on the outside window for your ordering convenience -paper menu that you mark your order on. I always appreciate this so I don't have to remember what I ordered or make sure the person got everything Cons: -parking can get tight. The plaza is small -the wait: waited 40 minutes to order and get food. Don't be deceived by the short line. It moves VERY slowly -the ordering system: I saw the owner said they take phone orders but when I tried, the call didn't go through to either of the phone numbers listed on the menu. When I was there, I saw the staff would ignore calls and pick them up at random. The picked up calls would either be told to come in and order in person or would take an order. I did see a line for phone orders only forming so those must be the lucky few. -I did not think the food was great. The har gow skin is quite thick and the shrimp inside was mushy and pastey. I got what I believe is a very fresh set but it did not taste fresh. The rice noodles with beef and shrimp were strange. I'm used to having the beef and shrimp layers in little "rolls" but the shrimp ones seemed to be just thrown in there and the beef ones had beef only on the bottom in 2 giant globs. The beef was overcooked and hard as steel, ended up tossing it. The Shrimp Rice Noodle were all stuck together and nothing like what we had imagined. We love Shrimp Rice Noodle and had 2 ordered, huge mistake. The remaining orders were okay, not great. The price was decent, but the food was overall disappointing. I love this place. The food is always great. Come early if you want to try the shrimp rice noodle because it's so good it's gone by 1 or 2 pm. I've never tried it but it lives in my hopes and dreams. Also ask for extra soy sauce OR have your own ready at home. Not that they're stingy but it's extra packaging so why bother (personal opinion not theirs). The owner is very friendly so it pains me to give a low rating. Looks like they have expanded to sell flavored green teas now too at $3.99 + tax. Dishes are now $3.38 + tax, comparable with the dim sum restaurants. So how are they differentiating themselves? They are not :( It used to be great for price-sensitive folks who wanted a to go dim sum option. We order the shrimp dumpling, shaomai, pan fried shrimp and leek dumplings, steamed tofu skin pockets, steamed cha xiu bao, turnip cake, and shrimp rice rolls. All around, the shrimp dumplings were the only memorable dish with reasonable amount of shrimp. Shaomai and steamed tofu skin pockets were OK. Pan fried shrimp and leek dumplings were 90% leek and flour, cha xiu bao had a little sauce and almost no cha xiu, turnip cakes were also mainly flour, and most disappointing of all are the shrimp rice rolls... It was like one shrimp per roll and the rolls were too thick. Proportion was all off :( We spent $50 for lunch and I'm just sad. They did all my favorite dishes wrong. read more

Ordered the typical dishes (shui mai, haw gao, pineapple custard bun, bbq pork pastry thing, and egg tart) everything tasted fresh and yummy! I guess one thing to note when coming after 3 is they might be out of certain items and I am not sure if they will make it since they close at 630. Decided to give this place a try during my stay in SoCal! Some context: I have a Chinese boyfriend who l-o-v-e-s dim sum--but to him, this dim sum was OKAY in terms of the taste. I definitely would have found better dim sum for $3.18 each. As of 04/03/2021, they currently only do takeout--the store was small to dine in anyway. FOOD!! -Shu Mai: 4/5, large and pretty flavorful -Spareribs: 3/5, it was okay but I couldn't finish it due to how salty it was. There was a bit of a weird taste as well -Har Gow: 2/5, the taste was too plain. The food was delicious and portions were bigger than I typically get elsewhere. I went on a Monday morning and my dimsum was extra fresh and hot. My favorite was the steam custard oat milk bun which was perfectly oozy! No complaints about the rest of my food items. They were delicious as well. Given these COVID-19, at-the-time takeout only times and passing through the area to visit my mom, we popped by Dim Sum King for, of course, dim sum! It's located in a small strip mall with easy parking and definitely a to-go spot with no seating available. Basically as soon as you enter, grab a sheet of paper and pencil (yay for both Chinese and English, with photos on the wall in case you need it!), check off what you want, then turn it so they can prep your order. Things I love most: 1. Everyone working there speaks Cantonese - the authentic, overly loud, are-they-arguing style that reminds me of my childhood 2. Food is fresh and tasty 3. They work efficiently - it appeared like most folks phone in their orders, however given my inability to speak Cantonese (my Cantonese ancestors and Chinese School teacher dad making sad faces), popping by and waiting a few minutes for them to put together your order works just fine. The quality of the dim sum is out of expect good!!! They are not too salty or too sweet. The taste is perfect. We have ordered variety of dim sum. Steam bbq pork bun is soft and fluffy after we take home. Egg tart is crunchy and fluffy. The portion is big. Highly recommended. We brought a ice trunk to keep the food warm until we got home.
