I am a huge fan of Greek food, so I was super excited at the prospect of a Greek buffet! The place is quite large when you walk in and has a long set of cooling and warming tables. The first set is of cold salads and a great way to start your meal. Then it moves on to stuffed grape leaves, chicken, gyros, fish which was all delicious. I marked this restaurant down a star to four stars as there was a sign that you had to ask for lamb shank. This was the only lamb available besides Gyros. We were there for at least 30 minutes and never did anyone come out of the kitchen that I could ask for lamb shank. This was very disappointing as it is my favorite. And for nearly $20 per person for a lunch buffet, lamb should be included. So while dessert of baklava and rice pudding was great we most likely will not return.

The food is amazing. The eggplant is one of my favorites next to the lamb shank. Everything is good! There is no extra charge for your beverage. My first time having rose water, which was refreshing.

They have a good variety when it comes to food AND drinks. The customer service was great, restaurant was clean, and most importantly food was delicious. I will keep returning. I will keep enjoying. Dimassi's makes me smile.

Love Dimassis Excellent healthier food. I've been to all the locations and they're always so helpful I actually live in houston and get this for dinner on the way home.

Was near this place today for lunch, so i decided to stop by and see how they have been doing, and was ready for the weekend special of lamb shanks. When I got there come to find out they don't serve the lamb shanks till after 4pm, bummer. That's ok, I ate what they had. Good food, great tasting. My only complaint is that the area where I was sitting at, near the drink station, seemed pretty hot, no ac or fan seemed to be keeping that area cool. The music was blaring, and at times bursts of static sound. Other than that, everything was great, except for the fact of not serving the lamb shanks for lunch. Price is $25, if you're wondering, and thinking of checking this place out.

Love Dimassi's. It's 16.99$ for ACE buffet Monday-Friday 11am-4pm Love the variety of food. Everything is included. From appetizers, main dish, meats, vegetable rice, bread, hot and cold drinks, dessert and soft serve. The place is clean and everything is fresh.

The closest to good Mediterranean food you are going to get out here. Dang, I wish Fadi's had a closer location.

The lamb is cooked to perfection. Best bread and hummus to go. Not the friendliest staff, but good food.

Great food for a decent price. Since it's a buffet there's plenty to choose from. I would recommend it for somewhere to take your family.

We started doing this when the pandemic was winding down as a way to get out with friends since we could not previously and also support our local restaurants. Each month we pick a different place or one we might not have been to in a while. We had never tried Petra, I had driven by it many times in the past and was curious as to how it was inside. Since I got to pick this month, I picked Cafe Petra and am glad I did! My wife and I were the first to arrive and when we told them we would be eating with 7 others from our club they quickly pulled some tables together. Our young server was very good, she took drink orders and delivered them to the right customers very quickly. After a bit of socializing we placed our orders and it wasn't very long and food was coming to our table. I had the Chicken Shawarma and Gyro Combo plate and it was a huge serving that also started with a nice salad. Others in our group had gyro sandwiches, salads and even baclava. My wife loved the French fries that are so crisp. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with Mediterranean decor, there is a big screen at one end with scenes from Greece and other parts of the region. As I said, service was very good and the servings were large enough that several of our group took home to-go boxes. We will go back in the future.

It's well decorated for the holiday season with plenty of lights and decor. It was quiet when we went so was able to get seated right away. We ordered the Messa that consists of chicken, gyro, kibbi and dolma. There are different sizes... for 1, 2 or 3 persons. The chicken was very tasty with the right level of spice. Gyro was good as well. Kibbi (fried dough with ground beef inside) was delicious esp when dipped with Tzatziki. Yum! Dolmas was good too. For the price, there was a decent amount of food. Had to pack some home as we were stuffed. Staff is friendly and offered some suggestions. They have other things in the menu like seafood that we look forward to try next time.

We got in to Houston late and were desperately on the hunt for dinner. This Baba Shawarma truck was such an unexpected find, and I'm hoping to come back before we leave. I had a falafel plate with fries instead of rice, and my husband had a falafel wrap. From the first bite to the last - amazing! Seriously something uniquely authentic to the combo of seasonings. Falafels were light and perfectly crisp. The fries were also perfectly seasoned and crisp. Even the salad was surprising different in the best way. Portions were generous. The owner is also an amazing guy. Very thoughtful and provided great service. Definitely a spot we will come back to anytime we're in Houston.

The plate is definitely heftier and tastier and the rice had a good season on it. The wrap was okay. Kinda got soggy from the tomatoes. The garlic sauce is mild but tasty. The chicken was way better, juicy and well seasoned. The beef was very bad. It was very dry and did not tasted seasoned at all. The bill... I didn't see the itemized charged until the text receipt afterwards. But every item was upcharged a little from the menu on the food truck. So you end up paying a couple bucks more. I felt like it was hidden and not transparent with the menu prices. Don't know if I would try this again. I have other places on my list to try. The chicken shawarma was very good and flavorful though.

We came across this place because of the amazing reviews (I believe it was rated around 4.7 on Google), so we definitely came in with high expectations. They exceeded every single one. We ordered two plates knowing the portions were big and fully planned on taking half home... but the food was so good we both ended up finishing everything. Even after eating two big plates, we didn't leave feeling heavy ,just completely satisfied. The flavor was incredible, the presentation was beautiful, and you can tell there's a lot of care put into the food. The ambiance was a chill, welcoming vibe, and the staff at the cashier and everyone working there were super friendly, helpful, and genuinely took the time to talk with us and give great recommendations. We honestly wish we could rate this place higher than 5 stars. It exceeded our expectations and is easily a 10/10. We'll definitely be back soon. This is the case with Lama Mediterranean Cuisine in The Woodlands. My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

I finally visited this Greek/Mediterranean/Persian restaurant on a Sunday for lunch to see why it's…read morerated so high. Inside is elegant and well decorated with glass tables and large rugs everywhere. Looking at the menu, it's a mix of various cuisines, but they do separate out the Persian dishes which are somewhat similar to Mediterranean ones just cost a little more and have different spices altogether. If you visit on weekend nights, you'll likely get to see belly dancing here. I settled on the chicken shawarma wrap, even though it costs a few dollars more than the chicken pita. It does come with one side for $21,and I chose French fries. It tasted pretty good, but you do have to get used to the pickles which gives the wrap an overall weird taste. These are not your typical pickles which go well with American fried chicken sandwiches. A Mexican tortilla is used as a wrap here instead of the bread they use for wraps in other Mediterranean restaurants in Houston. If I wanted a chicken burrito, i would have dined at a Mexican restaurant. The fries are previously frozen ones and lightly seasoned and really only decent when hot. Unfortunately this is one of those restaurants which takes care of newly seated guests and large parties but ignores the tables of 1. Not my fault I only have one in my party. They seated me in the corner and another gentleman came about 20 mins after me and I never saw a waitress go to his table after being served his entree either. The chef or kitchen hand is the one who brings out the entree from the kitchen here and my waitress never showed up until they try to take your plate away. However, I was still eating and also waiting for 10 mins on a refill. I can only eat so much before needing to take a sip of a liquid...but if you come with a party of one here..you will likely be waiting awhile. The lady taking my plate wasn't even my waitress either. Meanwhile, for the gentleman sitting outside alone, I observed his drink to be empty a while and they weren't refilling his either. He finally leaves and goes to a cash register to pay. What? A semi-fine dining elegant spot with mandolin playing in the background has a cash register where you have to go up to pay? What is this world coming to? With these prices, they should roll out red carpet from the front door to your table each time you walk in....and surely make the waitress do something for once and take your card and swipe it herself at the cash register which shouldn't be in the middle of the damn room. Sort of defeats the purpose of being elegant. Did I mention the glasses are plastic here too. If they want to be refined, try at least using glasses for drinks.

Great food overall!…read more The food here is definitely great--lots of choices and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. You can tell why this place is popular. The service could use a little improvement during busy times, and the ambiance felt a bit crowded, but that's probably because so many people enjoy coming here. This place is a bit far from central Houston and central north Houston, but it's such a great gem! It gets quite busy but they have a number system where you walk in, check in and get a number, and then you get called. It gets pretty busy but the line goes by fast. Parking is also a bit of a hassle as the lot is very small for the amount of people which is a downside. The Chinese food they have is so so, but the seafood is where it's at. Their crab legs are always so fresh and sweet, and rarely salty. We also love their crawfish as it's full of flavor, fresh, and always piping hot. Their sushi selection is decent and also pretty good quality for buffet sushi. The seafood reminds me of Las Vegas buffet quality. Dessert selection is ok. I just go for the ice cream and some fruit and that's pretty much it. Inside it does get pretty hectic and everything is fast paced, but that's good if you want to eat the most you can in such little time! The servers are always attentive and take away empty plates, refill drinks, and are happy to assist with anything you need. All in all, this is a great bang for your buck if you want a good variety of food with amazingly fresh seafood.
