Humble has been surprising me in the past year as they are adding more "authentic" restaurants besides your typical American restaurant chains. I was in the area and I was craving Mediterranean food. Luckily I noticed this place so I went to check it out. Prices vary depending what time you come in but take advantage of the Yelp discount. The food was really good and I've been back since then! LOVED my meal from Dimassis Humble. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious! I loved the way we walked in and immediately saw instructions for how the process works. Since hubby and I were ravenous, it was WONDERFUL to walk in, seat yourself and begin chowing down immediately. My husband was reluctant to try a new restaurant tonight but he was so glad he did! First off the food is bland and flavorless. I tried half the lunch spread, including the desserts, and I only found 3 of them to be somewhat decent. Most of them lead me on with the strong scent of a flavorful dish but I was surely disappointed by the halfhearted effort put into it. However I would recommend this place if you're a person who enjoys eating hygiene products. Now I will say this was my first time eating any kind of Mediterranean food so perhaps this is just normal. It doesn't change the fact that this was a horrible introduction. Lastly the decor and atmosphere were on par of that of a funeral home cafeteria. The staff were lazing around and one man had to yell and wave to someone to come assist him. It wasn't like there weren't any reasons to be up and helpful. The floor seemed more neglected than the customers with food remnants caked into creases and corners, and a sticky floor. There were two other couples in the restaurant when we arrived. There were lots of selections on the buffet line. Most of the entrees were chicken. Most of the items were also cold items. I am quite happy to see a Dimassi's in the Humble-Kingwood-Atascocita area. I have eaten at several other locations and this spot is just as great. I have been to other branches but sadly this time was disappointing. The coffee and rose water tasted bland, the falafel isn't flavorful. This place is my new favorite discovery! You pay a flat rate for food and get lots of yummy options. I always start with the salad bar which is my favorite part, then get a few of the main meals (don't forget to ask for lamb shank dinner and on weekend) and finish by some hot tea or coffee and a piece of baklava. Absolutely AMAZING. Our little family is traveling to Houston TX for the very first time. We had just visited a farm nearby and were very hungry. Saw this restaurant nearby on maps and saw the amazing reviews and decided to try it. Best decision ever. Food was delicious, restaurant clean and not too crowded with lots of space. I could eat everything they had. I definitely want to visit again before returning home since we don't have this restaurant in NY. The rose water was delicious. I've been to many buffets... not many Mediterranean however. This is my second time and felt I had to leave a review. Usually food at buffets are dry and don't have much taste and even have that "heat lamp" flavor. NOT THIS PLACE! Delicious cuts of beef, lamb and chicken and JUICY! Homemade bread was warm and tasted like it was straight out of the oven! Hummus varieties were delicious and my family enjoyed the visit. The warm ambience makes for a comfortable setting and all seats are close enough to the food so you don't feel guilty walking back for a 4th plate lol! Chicken varieties were plentiful and their shredded beef was delicious! Our favorites included the spicy hummus, lamb strips and desserts! Even the rice was fluffy and freshly made! I have to preface this by saying that I'm one of those boring food/picky eaters. have never had Mediterranean food before, so I hesitated to come here. We dropped the kids off and went to run errands and decided to try them out! I will include photos of all the foods I tried that I will recommend. There is a sign posted that states something to the effect of if you are wasteful with your experience, you may be charged $6.99 extra to cover those losses. At first I was a little upset, offended by it, but by the time I grabbed a super tiny scoop of all the things I wanted to try...I understood it! I ate it ALL! Lol The dish that gets honorable mention is the Demassi's Pasta. It's a rigitoni Pasta in a creamy Alfredo type sauce with chicken and mushrooms. I went back for seconds! Their Demassi's chicken (red coating) was pretty amazing as well! They even have baked chicken for the kiddos (looks like fried chicken, but baked for health factor I guess). And because it was previously a Zio's, they were baking fresh pizza, bread and pita bread! I wrote a much longer post to my friends/family and urged them all to try it out now that they have reopened from Harvey's floods. Go try it already! Oh, and the coolest part...they have a reward card for a stamp on each visit for a free buffet once you have all 11 spaces stamped! read more

Don't be afraid to try this surprisingly good spot! I spend nights in the Humble area once in a while, and am always looking for decent, reasonably priced places to get dinner or lunch. I was reluctant to go to a buffet, and almost skipped this place when I saw there was a Papa's Seafood next door. I decided to at least take a peek, so glad I did. What it is: quality, fresh, and flavorful Eastern Mediterranean food. Think Greek, Lebanese, Israeli. Gyro meat, lamb shank, hummus, tabouli, falafel, tzatziki, garlic sauce, etc., and lots of variety. As mentioned in a previous post, the staff is out of the way, and primarily cooks and puts out fresh food and cleans up (the place was very, very clean around the buffet line and tables). You seat and serve yourself, pay on the way out. What it's not: fancy, Is it haute cuisine? The very best Lebanese food I've had? No. But Dimassi's is five stars for great value and tasty authentic food of the region. read more
