Don't be afraid to try this surprisingly good spot! I spend nights in the Humble area once in a while, and am always looking for decent, reasonably priced places to get dinner or lunch. I was reluctant to go to a buffet, and almost skipped this place when I saw there was a Papa's Seafood next door. I decided to at least take a peek, so glad I did. What it is: quality, fresh, and flavorful Eastern Mediterranean food. Think Greek, Lebanese, Israeli. Gyro meat, lamb shank, hummus, tabouli, falafel, tzatziki, garlic sauce, etc., and lots of variety. As mentioned in a previous post, the staff is out of the way, and primarily cooks and puts out fresh food and cleans up (the place was very, very clean around the buffet line and tables). You seat and serve yourself, pay on the way out. What it's not: fancy, Is it haute cuisine? The very best Lebanese food I've had? No. But Dimassi's is five stars for great value and tasty authentic food of the region. read more

At check out I ask if they served wine, she said no as they adhered to halal standards, yet they advertise they are Mediterranean. The food was all under seasoned, thus bland. The interior was also bland and warehouse like. All in all...very disappointing. read more

There's not much choices, FOOD is cold. It's by preference, I guess. If you like cold food then go ahead this restaurant is for you. Lol It was actually a waste of our money but hey at least we get to try for once. NEVER again. and price is expensive for what they're serving. read more

Tried this out about 8:00 PM on a Friday night. Was not crowded, but had a respectable amount of foot traffic. It was the fastest food I have ever eaten. It is a self-serve buffet, so as soon as you walk in, you help yourself to a plate, many choices of food, drink, dessert, straw, utensils, etc. Then you pick your own spot to sit and get to enjoy soothing low lights and relaxing instrumental music while you finish your meal. When finished, you pay up front. The food was typical buffet food that tends to overlook some details, but is edible. The real standout for me was the spinach hummus. You have to try it - even if you think it doesn't look too tasty. I dipped my beef kabob and rice into it and it was delicious. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat several yummy looking items, including the pita and chicken dishes because of my allergies. Would be a great restaurant for a large group of people to eat at since they only have 2-, 4,- and 6-top tables with chairs that can be custom configured to your needs. read more

still thinking about the fantastic food i had yesterday at lunch, and planning my next visit already. totally overate starting with three kinds of hummus, and the most delicious babaganoush, and the pita were fresh and fluffy and hot. kafka were really yummy as was the lamb/gyro. they had a couple different kinds of fish but i had no room in my belly for that, with the vast selection. rose water to drink and desserts were available as well. Dimassis was a pretty good experience overall. The buffet has a pretty good selection of items to choose from, which i enjoyed since I am a pescatarian. The only complaint that my boyfriend and I had, was that his beef kabobs were cold. He was looking for the gyros and bigger meat selection, only to find out after we left that there was a sign that says it is available "upon request". The rose water is sooooo good, we were very happy they refilled the jar right in time for us. The deserts were pretty on point, overall all I think it's a pretty good place to go if you want some variety from the typical common foods there are around Kingwood, I think if they paid a little more attention to some items on the buffet it could be a lot better read more

I was really impressed with the selection, but I felt like the selection of traditional Mediterranean food was not there. The food was great, but I would've loved more traditional dishes like kibbeh, kafta, pastirma, and grape leaves that were warm instead of cold. I was not a fan of the mushy grape leaves that had no meat in them. They would've been good cold had they not been so mushy. But the restaurant was clean and 100% self serve for the buffet, so that was cool. We'll be back! read more
