This would be my go-to work cafe EXCEPT....they have no bathroom. Please, Pay the meter, come in, have a latte, and a bran muffin, get comfy and pull out the laptop and....wait, uh oh, pack it all up and go to Farmer Joe's to use the bathroom, just to come back? I don't think so. Shame. Coffee was OK, And my egg sandwich was delivered sans egg....service was slow, and I would forgive all of that, if they had a bathroom. Won't be going back. This is a little cozy mom and pop cafe. The place was pretty dead when I first came but I stayed for about two hours and saw a lot of people come in and out for a quick bite to eat. I only had tea and another drink. Three stars because they don't allow you to use their restrooms. I guess that's how they get people to not hang out there for too long lol. I've been working here for the past year and I can't believe I haven't tried this place till recently. Nice and quaint interior. Different types of tables to sit in. Fresh squeezed OJ. The service was mediocre. You order first and they bring the food to you. The food was good and I would come back here just for the sandwhich, but I wish it came in a bigger portion. I had a hot pastrami sandwhich that cost 8 dollars and was accompanied by a small bowl of chowder. The pastrami was tasty and meaty. The chowder not so good, tasted like corn starch water. i love this neighborhood cafe!! i really enjoy the breakfast burrito, it's loaded with potatoes, zucchini, bell peppers, eggs, cheese, your choice of meat, and onion i think, sooo good! the french toast combo is delicious too, fluffy bread and a good cinnamon/nutmeg flavor! combo comes with potatoes which not a lot of restaurants include with their combos, so i love that. i will definitely be back, well actually i've been back three times in the last month lol update - up until now i've only tried their breakfast which is PERFECT, so i decided i would try a hot sandwich. i got the chicken melt and garlic fries and they were both EXCELLENT, seasoned well, grilled well, i literally have no complaints. i'm so blessed to have a really great quality neighborhood cafe! definitely give this place a chance and try their simple but flavorful menu!! read more

This little gem of a coffee/donut/tasty treat shop has free WiFi. and alot more space than the other coffee shops in the hood Artwork by local artists adds to the atmosphere and the customer service is excellent. The large window that faces Fruitvale Ave. allows you to work on your computer and check out all the local freaks ( I mean that in a good way) I love the Dimond district. If you're looking for your neighborhood café, this is it. Decent coffee and good options for breakfast. I really like their English muffin breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage. It's not too big but still feeling so you can start your day without being sluggish. They also have a version on a croissant that's really yummy. I also appreciate that they're not overpriced. Hello. My name is Loli and I am not a vegetarian. Still, I can't get enough of their veggie wraps. They're my portable salad dream come true. I don't even miss meat when I eat these and they usually last me for two meals. Their breakfast burritos are also very tasty. They even taste good reheated the next day. The bagels have served me well during bagel emergencies and I have yet to try the breakfast sandwiches, but I'm glad knowing that they're there. The folks here are super nice. I went out on a whim and walked down to Dimond Cafe this morning for breakfast. I've always seen it but haven't had the chance to go. I am so happy I did. The food here is delicious, came out fast and the lady working here is super sweet. I'm a picky eater so I had some add ons and whatnot to my breakfast order and it didn't even faze her. I'll definitely be back now that I know it's legit. Their food was hella good and reasonably priced. One of the things that stood out to me was that the lady working here knew everyone who walked in the door, that is huge. I love the feeling of this little neighborhood spot. Stopped here after my BF and I tried to go to another diner that was closed. I ordered the veggie omelette without cheese plus avocado for an additional 75 cents. Omelette came out without cheese but I didn't see any avocado. So I tore into it, and after hunting I legit found a couple chunks of avocado that added up to a little under the size of a Chinese fortune cookie?! I took it up and asked for more, the woman at the counter took it to the back (which naturally freaks me out because who knows what the cook may do if you agitate them).
