    This review is long overdue because Diamond Slice has quickly become one of our go-to spots. We've ordered delivery a couple of times now, and they've been great every time. My partner is vegan, and I'm not, so finding a place where we can both get what we want without having to buy two whole pizzas has always been a struggle. Diamond Slice makes it so easy; we can get half vegan and half regular, which is a total game-changer. The vegan cheese they use is from The Butcher's Son, one of our absolute favorite spots, so that was an instant win. The whole vibe and setup remind us of Silver, especially with that extra slice and the green sauce on the side, and honestly, we absolutely love it: great flavors, great options, and super convenient for mixed-diet households. Highly recommend!

    I've eaten their pizzas three times in the last year and I'm hooked. I'm happy they have gluten-free at a reasonable price. Sunday's special had corn, mozzarella, I think Feta, lime, and something else that created a delicious bite. The green sauce is extremely flavorful. Not that the pizza needed it, I just like the taste. I had their mushroom pizza before and that's what got me hooked. Creative combinations that are packed with flavor, and don't feel heavy in the least bit. The location is convenient and very spacious. The service was excellent, everyone was friendly. I'm definitely keeping this place on my agenda for my bonus days.

    Did a delivery to home this time. My friend really wanted to try this pizza plaza so We ordered their special pizza of the day (Fresh Corn, Chile Pasilla, Yellow Onions, Mozzarella, French Feta Cheese, Cilantro, Limes, Garlic Olive Oil), cheese pizza and chips and guacamole appetizer. For vegetarian pizzas, I have to admit that the pizzas we got today were pretty tasty. However, I'll stick with my regular non vegetarian pizzas next time. Such a great option place for the vegetarian eater.

    Always yummy! My fav is when it has potatoes. Today, they had peach and chile pasilla as toppings. I was surprised, it paired really well and I'm usually not a fan of pineapple/hawaiian because it can be too sweet but the peach slices were thin and great combo with the feta cheese and the Chile. The green sauce is always a crowd fav.

    Massive space inside, which you can't see from the street. Clean, spacious and inviting, excellent for groups. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I was offered a free sample and treated well (possibly because it was SUPER obvious I'd never been here before lol). The value is AMAZING! I can't believe a slice was under $5, and the green sauce was included. With vegetarian pizza like this who needs meat (I'm not a vegetarian)?! PUT THIS ONE ON YOUR LIST!!!

    Awesome customer service with a smile. Love that they cut slices into half if you ask them for the double cut. Perfect for kids that don't finish regular slices consistently. Half a pie was $10 and change before tip which is a good deal these days! They threw in an extra slice also. The green sauce is delicious and the tables and bench seats are comfortable.

    I have not posted in a while but today after three tastes, I endorse their newish invention with potatoes and yams. Delishious. The next time it shows up on their menu, you ahev to check it out. This is from a long time customer who only gets the energy to post good reviews.

    Dimond Slice must have some kind of sixth sense because they knew I was having a rough week. Just had a milestone birthday, immediately got sick (happy birthday to me, right?), and have been feeling pretty blah. Today I decided pizza was the cure, so I ordered half a pizza. When I went to pick it up, they handed me TWO whole pizzas, yesterday's and today's pizza of the day! Talk about an upgrade. Seriously, that kind of generosity turned my whole mood around. Big thanks to Dimond Slice! now excuse me while I eat my feelings in the most delicious way possible.

    Are big single slices sold?

    They sell single slices with a tiny sliver (just like Cheeseboard and Sliver). I feel like the single slices aren't as large as other places but still big enough. You can just also order other single slices like cheese or an additional ingredient.

    What type of vegan cheese do you use?

    We use Daiya Vegan cheese or Butcher’s son Vegan cheese

    What does the green sauce consist of?

    Hey jaye, our green sauce or as we like to call it our Chile serrano and cilantro sauce consist of those two main ingredients as well as salt, pepper, lemon juice, onions, olive oil and garlic, No Parsley, No nuts, No dairy.

The thick ropey noodles had a balanced savory taste of nuts, sesame, garlic, chili oil and vinegar. I had the idea of taking it home to finish it, but the dish seemed addictive. The great thing about being retired is that life slows down. I can take my time and enjoy my food. I definitely enjoyed my lunch at Laughing Buddha. I wish I knew about this restaurant sooner, because it's walking distance from Kaiser Hospital in Oakland. Come try this restaurant, and try a unique style of asian cooking.

My table ordered the cascatelli pasta, smoky glazed tempeh, coriander & arborio crusted oyster mushroom, and for dessert the summer sundae and chocolate tart. We were sharing so I got a taste of everything. Just amazing. It tastes just as good as before but feels much more approachable and affordable with the new concept. And you can still get the fine dining experience if you want it. I can't wait to go back on a Tuesday to try the pizza. Back then, it was located on the main floor of a hotel on Geary St. in the heart of Union Square, back when downtown SF was a bustling and busy epicenter of the most beautiful cities in the world. From there, I went back for all my special occasions: anniversaries, birthdays, celebrations. One day, the lease was up, and you found your new permanent home in Oakland. The vibes and atmosphere changed, but the food remained just as iconic. Unfortunately, it was now at least 1 hour commute for me by public transportation, so I stopped going consistently. Now, you are closing your doors after 30 years of serving your vegan community. Some say that it is another casualty of the decline of veganism. Some say that it was inevitable. But I say, give me a list of restaurants in the Bay Area that have survived 30+ years, even with a cross-bay relocation. And ESPECIALLY for a vegan restaurant. I call that a success. I went for the last time this week and ordered the 5-course chef's tasting menu PLUS 2 additional appetizers. As expected, everything was absolutely delicious. Those crusted fried mushroom appetizers are so divine. The BBQ Tempeh melted in your mouth. I will miss it all so. There have been too many times in recent years when my favorite vegan restaurant announces its closure, and I've been heartbroken one too many times. Wishing the staff of Millennium all the best and that this isn't the final chapter. I look forward to what Chef Eric Tucker and his team will do next, and we will be there to support you all when that happens.

The vibrant, welcoming energy of the space set the perfect tone for a celebratory family gathering, and the food was spectacular from start to finish. Every single dish we ordered hit the mark: The Ceviche: Incredibly fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced--the ultimate way to kick off the meal. The Plantains: Perfectly executed with that ideal contrast of texture and rich flavor. The Branzino Salad: A total standout. The fish was beautifully prepared, light, and paired wonderfully with the crisp, refreshing greens. The Comunitario Rice: Deeply flavorful, comforting, and perfect for sharing across the table. Celebrating a special occasion with family means you want great food, a lively atmosphere, and seamless hospitality, and Parche delivered on all fronts. It was a fantastic Father's Day meal, and we will definitely be back!

    This was my first time ever eating at this restaurant and from once a separate told us we got there…read morejust in time. We had ourselves an early dinner around 3 PM and he said the restaurant had just cleared out. Apparently they were packed for lunch!! I've never had a style of food before so I asked my boyfriend what I should order since he likes the style. He actually ordered me a chicken curry dish and himself another meat dish, but I can't remember what it was called. Both items as well as appetizer it was delicious! I should've taken a picture of the items we ordered for the appetizer since it was a three portion combo plate, but the pictures are below! Ambience was very relaxed and I really like how there was a half steps down into a little patio area so it seemed like you were almost underground, but you could see out. It was cute watching people walk their dogs and families ride their bike bikes. I will definitely want to come back here and get and buy more dishes!

The service stood out because Jesse was friendly and attentive. 1st Course- Champagne 2nd Course - Potato Pakora 3rd Course - Salmon Kebab w/ Rice and Vegetables 4th Course - Ferni The space felt calm with lots of natural lighting and beautiful plants. Overall, I'd come back for the potato pakora, which is crispy and savory. Perfect for solo date or catch up with friends!
