Really great classic American diner. Now be warned I went on a Sunday at noon be ready to wait to be seated. For a table of 2 we waited 25 minutes. Once we got seated the service was great, friendly waitress brought our drinks to the table fast. My fiancée ordered pancakes and I got a classic deli club. Very good club sandwich with great portions. Good breakfast food as well, you can not go wrong here. Only negative is the parking lot, where I deducted a star. we waited several minutes for an open spot and people parked on the grass and everything. My friends and I went to get dinner there one night and the waitress was friendly and helpful. We had our drinks and ordered our food. My friend ordered the French onion soup and that was good till she had a hair in it that she almost ate. I had ordered mozzarella sticks and those were good, but when my entree came out which was spaghetti, I got about half way through it before I spotted a large fly dead in the middle of the bowl. It may have been a one time fluke, but for me, I probably won't be going back anytime soon. read more

The first time in ate here I loved it!...... Second time, meh...not so good but not terrible. It was tough to get coffee, butter...the small stuff. Today..... Waited 30 minutes to get a seat which is ok, I'm patient, got coffee (beware, drink it slowly cause YOU ARE NEVER GETTING A SECOND CUP!) I am a new comer to Easton and after I asked some locals, many of them recommended this diner. At lunch time it was packed, but we didn't have to wait long. Food takes a bit to get to your table, but the wait is worth, I had one of their lunch specials : chicken with brie cheese and apple sandwhich and it was to die for! We were also offered some of their desserts that are also on exhibit as soon as you walked in but there was no space left in our bellies to try, but one day one day... Still looking for that one awesome diner. I would not rate this place as awesome but an average diner with a cool look. There is ample of parking and seating. This place also has a liquor license and a bar. Nice decor and plenty of tv's. Our waitress was just OK but service could have been a lot better. She gave us one breakfast menu and one dinner menu to share. A bit odd. Not like other diners, you cannot get certain breakfast items throughout the day. I ordered meatloaf and it came with a choice of soup or salad, mash potatoes but no greens. I'm pretty surprised that no corn or vegetables came with the meal and would have to be ordered in addition. It tasted fine but nothing special. My wife ordered a Greek salad and she liked it. It had fresh greens and came with grilled chicken. We ordered carrot cake and banana cake and both were delicious. The desserts were the highlight of my visit. Our bill came to about $45. It included two unsweetened ice teas as well. There was no wow factor for me like the Silver Diner in Cherry Hill, NJ. I will have to give it another try in the future as the yummy desserts entice me for another visit. UPDATE: 9/28/2016 I've been here a few more times for take out since the last review, tried different dishes and they have all been really good. Not a fan of this place. The service is slow. I'd been there for breakfast a few times with my local running group. It shouldn't take 30-45 minutes for bacon & eggs and pancakes. I recently went for dinner and ordered the chicken parm because it was "their recipe". It was overbreaded and dry. The sauce was lousy. I will say the serving was ample and they didn't skimp on the cheese. The waitresses are pleasant if not the most competent. My wife ordered a root beer and they brought a coke. read more

Service was great, food was great and I got wings as an after thought because it was wing night. WOW - Great wings. I don't know why anyone would go to Buffalo wild sings down the street when you can go here. There is no comparison when it comes to flavor and size of the wings. My husband and I have eaten at Diner 248 approx. 6 times. I can honestly say that I have NEVER had a meal there that was really good. Tonight's meal, however, was awful. I ordered the vegetable barley soup and it had so much spice (some type of pepper - ghost, halepeno, whatever) that I could not eat it!! My entree' was Chicken Marsala and guess what, again that pepper spice in it. I ate it because I was hungry and our waitress never once checked on us so I wasn't able to say anything about it. And I am paying for it now - I cannot handle spice and my stomach is on fire!!!! Had a similar experience one other time here and we haven't been back til tonight when we decided to give them another try. This is it; we will NOT be going back!!!! read more

Went there for dinner with my family last summer when the place first opened. Ambiance is great and you don't get the feeling that it is a diner. The portions were good and the prices were reasonable. Was the food a bit bland? A tad. The problem is in the name. It is Diner 248, but this place isn't a diner. It's an upscale diner, low scale fridays, etc. I think they are trying to fill a niche that in my opinion is not needed. read more

I want to start by saying the customer service here is phenomenal. We came 10 mins before breakfast was over and was seated within 10 mins. The woman who seated us knew we wanted breakfast and was super quick to sit us. We've been coming here for over a year and have never been disappointed with 248 diner. The food is always amazing and their covid precautions are also great. Will continue to bring my business here. If you are looking for a great and cheap food place go here. This looks like the place to be for Sunday breakfast. Flat screen tv at the bar while listening to people exchange pleasantries while watching football preview on the flat screen. The bartender was pleasant as I ordered my iced tea while correcting me on my order.. Eggs "hard" as opposed to "well" as I denoted. Very reasonable menu with a nice selection. You can tell the change of season is in the air from the hot humid weather last nite' to the very early fall jeans weather this morning. Hopefully the food is as good as the prices. read more

Great breakfast. This is nice diner, modern and clean. The staff is pleasant, but needs a little polish (had to ask the waiter for refill on my coffee - a personal pet peeve). The food is great. New to the area. Had breakfast with my mom, it was delicious. I had a bacon omelette with cheese tomatoes and onions. Rye toast and hash browns. The waitress was really friendly and I loved the family style atmosphere. Gave the place three stars because the coffee needed to be a little more stronger plus I have to try lunch here to see how it is, good place and id go visit again. Next time with my husband and kids. Since my first visit for breakfast have been to the diner maybe 4 more times for lunch/dinner. The wings are amazing. Service is great. My kids enjoy their meals and eat every bite. Stayed at the Hampton Inn across the street. Breakfast at the Hampton Inn is free and, well, motivated me to pay for breakfast at Diner 248. The parking lot was packed at 10 am. I love diners and was excited to try this spot. They have great Chili and very good service but was a bit let down with our main meal. The presentation was impressive for what my expectation are from a diner but the meal was a tad bland, and my wife agreed. Also breakfast is only served until 2 pm which seems very early, don't know of diners to cut breakfast hours early. They do have a full bar and the desserts are excellent. I had some great meals when they first opened. I've noticed cutting back of portions and prices going up. The breakfast specialty pancakes and waffles are great just pricy. For dinner I get the Texas chicken (think that's what it was called) chicken, BBQ, bacon. I got it the first time few times I went and loved it. There was a period of 6 months that I didn't go and when I went back the service was ok but I was really disappointed in the meal. The food there is always good, but this review is more about the management. If they are requiring thier workers to wear mask then apply thus policy for ALL. The bartenders on our last visit had their masks below their chins. While I don't believe in mask mandates for anyone, if an employer requires masks then it should be enforced for all. Also I noticed that some servers where stretch pants and others don't, they wear more appropriate attire. When I asked the server they informed me that they are not allowed to wear stretch pants. Again another "rule" that is not enforced. These types of selective, bordering on discriminatory, select enforcement is wrong. read more

I'd have to say that this place ruined my entire day. I even had to go to the bar (a different bar) afterwards. The top 40 hits music of every era blaring in my ears while I sipped on my decent cup of coffee had me a bit on edge, but I ignored it.
