Turkey platter no gravy (I just don't like gravy).
    Linda D.

What a wonderful little place. We fortunately got there at a good time, so there was no delay in being seated. I ordered the Turkey platter (turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans) And my niece ordered the lasagna with salad. We both loved our dishes. Neither of of us could finish them. Since I had a microwave and refrigerator I took home 2/3 of my meal, had a second meal so far and there's a third one coming - talk about excellent portions. Salads were crisp and my leftovers tasted just as good the second time as the original time. I was so enamored with the stuffing. I ordered a side of stuffing to go to make it a dessert or just an extra meal in the ensuing days. We'll definitely come here again if on the road this way!

Tex-Mex Breakfast Wrap w/ eggs, chipotle skirt steak, jalapeño, cheddar, onions, & refried beans.

We typically go out for breakfast after a several day fast required prior to a certain medical procedure. With the procedure being performed in the afternoon this year it was necessary that we find a location still serving breakfast at 2:30PM. Where else but a diner? I suggested DinerTime since we had never been there but have constantly driven by it for about nine years. It was not very busy on a Wednesday mid-afternoon, so we were immediately seated by the hostess in a booth. It being a sunny afternoon, it was bright inside and everywhere looked clean and well kept. Our server promptly arrived with glasses of water, menus, and the anticipated question of our choice of beverage. We requested coffee ($2.75/cup with refills offered). As we let our hot cups of coffee cool a bit, we perused the breakfast offerings taking up one entire side of the large menu. My wife chose the DT Combo ($16.50), a choice of pancakes, French toast, or waffle with two eggs, bacon, sausage link, home fries, and toast. She selected French toast and over-easy eggs. The two slices of French toast were nicely prepared (even though they were not the typical Challah) with a sprinkle of confectioners' sugar, and the eggs had the desired runniness to allow the dipping of the French toast and requested rye toast. The fat looking sausage link was tasty, and the two slices of bacon were closing in on crispy. The home fries were excellent - hot, tender slices with some crispy bits. I decided to try the Tex-Mex Breakfast Wrap ($15.75). The flour tortilla was stuffed with two scrambled eggs, chipotle seasoned skirt steak, jalapeños, onions, cheddar cheese, and refried beans. It too, was served with a side of home fries. While the rolled tortilla with beautiful grill marks was compact looking, it was packed with the aforementioned ingredients and very flavorful. This was definitely a hearty meal. The pieces of skirt steak were plentiful, tender, and tasty. The jalapeño flavor was apparent yet not overly spicy. As already noted in my wife's comments, the home fries were excellent. I can see us returning, if not again for breakfast, then to sample some of the other side of the menu. Service was friendly, polite, and efficient.

Fantastic go-to diner any day. Come in group, a pair, alone - it doesn't matter: food is great. Soups rotate. Fine wines, beer. Has juices, soda, shakes. Very good for dinner late in the day - as the outside is nice and brightly lit up! It's always DinerTime! Review: 5

Mac and cheese with pulled pork and corn

A quintessential diner! Super busy but somehow still seated within 5 minutes. Clean and a very pleasant waiter. Menu is so huge, I had trouble picking. My kids had the chicken fingers with applesauce and the other chose the salmon. Love that they offer kids healthy choices! I had the Mac and cheese with pulled pork and corn. Not the best I've ever had but huge portion and considering I'm eating at a diner, it was just what I was looking for. My husband had breakfast meal with hash and home fries and finished it. Will absolutely return!

This Chocolate Fudge Cake is heaven on a plate.

Food was delicious. Delivered on time. The fried chicken basket was a hit once again! The chicken was super good and crispy.

When we got to the diner the parking lot was packed, we expected our wait to be awhile but didn't mind. The hostess gave us a beeper and said about 10 minutes, it was more like 2. We ordered and our food was out in less than 10 minutes. The eggs Benedict and homefries were delicious. The english muffin seemed homemade and the hashbrowns were seasoned beautifully. We had a great meal! Thank you!

First time here. Food/Drink: Entrees were pretty good, everything tasted decent. Bread and Apps: plenty of options I didn't order any. Dinning Area: Pretty large, and cozy. A little drafty. Prices: Relatively cheap. Entree, sides and a drink I got away for $17. Parking: Plenty of space, private lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and larger in size. Atmosphere: During the weekend Dinner rush, pretty busy, but not unmanageable. I did not wait long. Staff/Attendants: Staff overall was Great, family owned and operated I presume. Extremely authentic, traditional diner. Good experience! 8/10

Me and my cousin enjoyed this mega waffle as dessert. Highly recommended.

But after eating the delicious food, I thought who cares about ambiance if the food is this good, actually terrific. Came for the good reviews on the food. Party of five, we selected a table on the porch where there was natural light. My view was of traffic passing by on Old Loudon Road. The inside is dark with only a few tables and a large bar with seating. Pluses were many: *Menu was well organized and full of intriguing choices. There was also a Specials Menu, wine menu, beer menu, and cocktail menu. *Server was experienced enough to take our order without writing it down. But, she did not come back to refill water glasses on warm day. *Food was prepared well and presented nicely! There is a "pic of a Moose" stamped on top of buns! *Generous portions *Reasonable prices for quality of food I ordered the Triple Sliders from the Specials Menu, and I was delighted with the explosion of flavorsI experienced. The Brisket Slider was tender and flavorful. The chicken one had a unique tasty sauce. The pulled pork slider had the tastiest caramelized onions on it. BBQ SLIDER TRIO- $16.95 * Pulled pork with onion strings and ranch drizzle *Smoked brisket with pickle chips, coleslaw and a moonshine drizzle *Fried chicken with shaved Parmesan and honey bbq drizzle Others in party also enjoyed their food: Cheese Burgers, Pulled Pork with sweet potato fries, and a Quesadilla. I've been coming to 76 Diner for years, going back to my college days, and while I don't get over to that part of Latham as often anymore, I still make it a point to stop in a few times each year. I will say a while ago they changed their menus. I used to enjoy the older version with some information about the presidents of the United States. Probably silly of me but I enjoyed reading that and it went along with the '76 name. I'd like to see something similar to that come back on future menus. It's a large place, so there's rarely much of a wait, if any, and the parking lot is big enough that finding a spot is never an issue. On this visit, we were seated quickly, greeted promptly, and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Any time I've been here it's always nice and clean. This time was no exception. Any time I've been in the restroom, it has always been clean as well. The service stood out, our waitress checked in several times to make sure everything was good and see if we needed anything else without being overbearing. Everything we ordered tasted great, and the desserts were just as good. This has been a reliable spot for me for a long time, and this visit was no different. 5 stars

I wish I could've switched the toast to an English muffin, and the potatoes were really not that flavorful and kind of dry. I would have preferred hashbrowns. I only ate half the omelette. It was kind of dry; no cheese, just ham, peppers, and onions. Am I glad I ate here? I guess so. But will I eat here again? Probably not.

What a beautiful restaurant!…read more Did you ever have a long day and want to drink a big glass of red wine with dinner? The Scarlet Knife put a check in all the boxes. I walked in with no reservations. I noticed the space is very large with multiple dining rooms. I'm tired, I asked for a table close to the open kitchen. Once seated, I'm given a large, leather menu. There are lots of great entree choices but after I review all the selections, I'm going with the SK Bistro Burger. The entree also has a wine pairing suggestion, a Cabernet Sauvignon. It's like they read my mind, I'm sold! I'm starting to read about the restaurant, they have a large wine cellar and was recognized by Wine Spectator with an award for excellence. My bistro burger arrives, I can see this is a well crafted burger. From the pretzel bun to the thick burger patty, Scarlet Knife served me a great meal that I would typically order at The Capital Grill. My only issue, the onion straws were cold. I scraped them off and continued with my meal. I'm just passing thru town, Scarlet Knife was a fantastic spot to dine and have a generous pour of award winning Cabernet Sauvignon.

We arrived early and were seated promptly; water was poured before we even had napkins on laps. This surprised me, as reviews indicated that service could be slow and this was a holiday. But this started a constant service of someone checking in on us every 2-3 minutes (I am prone to exaggeration for a good story, but I assure you this was true. I kept checking my watch to confirm). We put in an appetizer order (deviled eggs) that was served within a minute or two. These were well seasoned and tasty, ice cold from the refrigerator. It's not that they didn't taste fresh, but they were served to us so quickly that I know that they were prepared well in advance and only the warm pork belly was recently prepped. Our meals were served as the appetizer was finished (I was still chewing). At this point, we were 10 minutes into our seating. Our meals included steak and eggs, which I incorrectly assumed would require a little bit more time. Not true! Our plates arrived, piping hot and tasty enough...but boy did we feel rushed. Our server, the manager, bussers, and other attendants stopped by our table every few minutes. I recognize this was a holiday, but there was not a steady stream of people coming through the doors and plenty of open tables were available. Our conversation was repeatedly interrupted with these check-ins and we all took great care to eat the meal as slowly as possibly to stretch things out. At this point we were on track to be out the door in 30 minutes. As a table we made a decision to order dessert and we were able to savor and dawdle long enough to get us to one hour. $180 later, we finished our Easter visit out in the parking lot where no one was pushing us out. (I will note that several families arrived after us and completed their meals in 30ish minutes. What's special about brunch when it's that rushed?) I wish I could review the food better, but my taste buds hardly had time to register the experience. Entrees were hot but clearly prepared well in advance and kept at the ready under heat lamps or in warming ovens. The dessert was cold and sweet as appropriate, but had that prepped yesterday feel to it. This is not what I expect from a restaurant that markets itself as a fresh farm to table establishment. I don't quite regret going to Scarlet Knife, but there are enough quality restaurants in the greater area that I probably won't return.

I've been to Innovo Kitchen in Latham several times over the years and I've enjoyed it every time. They have a unique menu that changes periodically, but I always find something that catches my eye. The interior has an industrial feel which I like, with a lot of exposed brick. The tables are made from old bowling lane wood, which is a really cool touch. When you walk in there is also a bowling pin displayed in a glass case. I remember there being a bowling alley somewhere in that plaza when I was a kid, so it seems likely the building has some history tied to that. The tables are also nice and large, which makes the dining experience more comfortable. Tonight I ordered the Monte Cristo burger which is described as battered Buckley's Bread sourdough, a 6 oz special grind burger, Taylor pork roll, Swiss, and Twin Leaf Farms maple aioli. It was quite tasty and I really enjoyed the hint of maple syrup flavor on the burger. The crinkle cut fries that came with it were also very good. Another person in our party ordered the White Chicken Parmesan, described as a crisp chicken cutlet topped with ricotta and garlic spinach and fresh mozzarella, with garlic parmesan cream and lumache pasta. They said it was delicious. Someone else had the Crispy Skin Salmon and enjoyed that as well. A child at our table ordered macaroni with red sauce. The portion was surprisingly large and they liked it, which is impressive because they are particularly finicky. For dessert we ordered something we've had here several times before, the peanut butter mud pie. It's basically ice cream in pie form with an Oreo cookie crust and chocolate fudge. It's very tasty and also a generous portion. At the end of your meal they also offer everyone at the table a tasty piece of gourmet chocolate. One thing that really stood out tonight was the attentiveness of the management. Two different managers stopped by our table at different times to check and make sure everything was good. I recognized one of them because I've seen him there before and he always seems to make a point of checking in with guests. The other person had seated us so I initially thought she was the hostess, but after she stopped by during the meal I asked if she was a manager and she confirmed that she was. I mentioned that I was impressed that two different managers had checked on us, and that every time I've dined there a manager has stopped by to make sure everything was good. I thanked her and told her it was appreciated. During the summer and fall they also have a very nice patio area for outdoor dining. On cooler nights they have heaters and a fireplace which makes it a great place to sit outside. I will definitely return here again in the future. 5 stars
