Solid grab and go bubble tea shop. It's in a strip with some food options next to it so it's very conveniently located if you want some food and bubble tea. Specifically, a Korean Pizza and wing place next door that I enjoyed. There's plenty of seating and a wall for those who want to take a cute insta photo. Wanted to support a local biz here in my second favorite local city, 'the City of Chino Hills,' largely was due to I used to work in this town prior to switching to the 'City of Arcadia,' CA., for work. Any ways, I experienced an extremely smooth visit here on Cinco De Mayo/2024. I was going to Nobibi in the Same plaza, but they closed early. I ended up here. My uncle lives near by so we frequent this location a lot since there's not really any other boba spots near by that we like. We've been coming here for years so I'm surprised I haven't left a review. This last time that I went (7/12/2024) around 1pm, we noticed a roach under the table. I was going to rate this place 5/5 stars until my unpleasant experience today. I come here frequently. And by frequently I mean about once a week. I order the same thing every time I come and it's not a difficult order. It's just a signature milk tea with less boba. No other modifications. Here's the reason behind my rating. I was the only one in the shop when I came today. I gave my regular order. Once one of the barista's handed me my drink, I could tell by the color it was going to taste different from what it typically looks like. I LOVE this place but one of the cons is their lack of consistency. I took two sips of my drink and it completely lacked taste. I'm not the one to take drinks back but this was the 3rd time I had came and my drink was inconsistent. I asked for a refund and stated it has tasted different the last few times I came. I informed him, who I assume is the shift lead or supervisor that when the girls are working (not sure of their names) it taste really good. Side note: The girls made it so good one time, I made a U-turn to the counter and expressed my gratitude for such a well made drink. I even did the little survey at the bottom of my receipt! Anyways, he asked me what was wrong with my drink and I explained to him when it was made well, it has a lighter look/color. He tried to tell me that was the "Jasmine tea". I know for a fact that I've never had a Jasmine tea from Ding tea before. I haven't ordered a Jasmine tea since my poor experience at Macchiato a year ago. I've ordered the same drink for the past few months I have been coming to Ding Tea CH. In the end, the individual, I was refunded my $5.10 without saying a word. There was no offering of remaking the drink or an apology. In no way am I saying the employee owes me anything, but the customer should not feel at fault for a drink that not made well. I also would like to mention, the last time I came here, which was on 10/20, the same individual was working. A customer had told him that they had been waiting 20+ for their order (it was like one or two drinks). It turns out someone had taken their drinks. The individual who refunded me and assisted that same customer not only apologized to THEM for the mishap, but gave them a free drink to make up for it. I hate giving bad reviews but I felt like the treatment I received as a regular was very poor. Won't be coming back here for a while. read more

Typical drinks that are offered here and are pretty decent tasting, enough to get your cravings satisfied. They usually are pretty slow, so if you don't mind waiting a bit, this is a good place to go. They have some seating inside as well and free wi-fi for anyone who was looking for a spot to work or study. On my most recent visit, I ordered my typical drink but I noticed they put double crystal boba. By the time I had noticed I already paid and thought it would be too much of a hassle to ask them to remake it. From this, I learned double crystal boba has a ton of syrup and it will distort the taste of the drink. Overall, not the worst boba shop to go to and is convenient if you're in the area. read more

Not usually my go-to boba shop when I'm in the area. They seem to not get as much foot traffic as other boba shops near by. Located in the plaza of Wells Fargo and Albertsons. I was not always too found of Ding Tea as other locations have disappointed me in the past. However, I'm glad I gave them another shot and was pleasantly surprised. Their honey boba has the perfect chew and bouncy texture many people look for. I came around 7pm which is closer to closing time and it was not busy. How they store their boba and when they toss boba if needed due it sitting for too long was just right. Often when going to a not so busy boba shop at the end of the day their boba will be soggy and over done, Ding Tea was not the case. If you don't like your drink too sweet make sure you adjust your sweetness level. I love a Winter Melon Milk Tea, I asked for it to be 50% sweet and it was a little on the sweeter side still. The barista had me try it first before leaving as it does tend to be on the sweeter side. I didn't mind. read more

This little spot is very cute! They have outdoor and indoor seating, but the inside has very comfy chairs and adorable decorations. I ordered an oolong tea with half sugar, boba and sea cream topping. It wasn't super sweet (my preference), so I would recommend maybe 75% or 100% if you like your drinks on the sweeter side! Love that Ding Tea is one of the few boba shops open past 9 pm on the weekends in Chino Hills. I've been to other Ding Teas where the drinks weren't that great, but the drinks at this location seem to be consistent and good which is more than I can ask for. I won't name the SGV places because I want Ding Tea to stay in business for the next century! Ding Tea is actually good. I ordered their Signature Tea with half sugar and no boba. The other teas were regular sugar with boba. Unfortunately mine was too watered down. Despite half sugar, the tea inside was too weak. The other teas ordered was better. Maybe because there was more sugar in it? Anyhow, I originally wanted the Almond Milk Tea. It's my usual. However, they didn't have any almond milk. Then I wanted their Grapefruit Green Tea, but they only use syrup to mix it. No real grapefruit juice, which means no pulp either. What a bummer! Well, the most important thing was my nephews and nieces enjoyed it, and they even got an extra cup of individual boba to go! No big deal for them, knowing that I was paying for it. LOL. The drinks are spot on and I love that you can adjust to sweetness, ice level, all the typical Asian type of tea drinks ... and with the coveted rewards by putting your phone number. I thought it was kind of a strange the crystal boba and how chewy it is... but I've never had crystal boba so it may be the texture of Crystal which is a bit harder than normal. Hands down my favorite boba spot in the IE. Their drinks never disappoint. I personally usually get the jasmine milk tea but sometimes I mix it up. I have to drive out like 25mins to get here but they haven't let me down yet. The staff is usually really mellow, nothing bad but nothing too good either. But the layout of the place is a little tight. Not a problem anymore since we can't be in there like that anymore but it always bothered me a little. I will admit that out of all the Ding Teas that I've been to, this is probably the best one. From other locations, I've tried their milky drinks and I was not a fan of how sweet it was even after asking for 50% less sugar. I haven't tried the milky drinks here for that reason. My go-to drink at this location is the Kiwi Green Tea which I feel is something you can't really get from other boba shops in this area. It's a good combination of sweet and sour so I would recommend it to anyone who likes kiwi. The grapefruit green tea is decent as well but I remember I wasn't all that impressed. The inside is aesthetically pleasing but there isn't a lot of seating so I wouldn't come here to study because it can easily get crowded with people who are simply hanging out. I honestly thought this place was decent until recently. I came back to get my usual drink in a large size with golden boba and the total came out to a little over $5. The drink was good but the boba just tasted bland - it literally tasted like nothing which isn't how I remembered it being a while ago. I was also dissatisfied with how much boba they gave, it literally felt like two sips and all the boba was gone, but maybe that's just me being spoiled by other boba shops in the area. I just felt like I could've gotten a better bang for my buck at another boba shop. Service was definitely eh as well but I don't really expect much when I want to grab and go. JGMT is usually my "go-to" drink at any boba shop, but oftentimes, adjustment of sugar content is not offered. I like having control over how much ice/sugar is put into my drink :) I've had the same drink 4 times-- quality/taste is consistent. If I feel like adding a topping, I usually would add crystal boba. Crystal boba has a different texture compared to regular boba. It's more of a chewy/jelly-type texture. Another not-too-sweet drink is Coffee Milk Tea, when I can't decide whether to drink Milk Tea or Coffee. Why not have both? ‍ Each employee that has helped me has been thorough and attentive. My order is repeated to me after I place an order, and if you decide to spend your time in the shop, don't hesitate to let the employees know whether or not you like your drink! They have games such as Jenga to enjoy with your accompaniment, as well as a floral backdrop for picture purposes. Parking is not difficult as it's a fairly big plaza with other businesses such as Poke, Mexican food, and soon-to-be Chicken Love Letter.
