I'm not sure what was going on the day I visited, but all three of our drinks were prepared incorrectly. We ordered to-go and didn't realize the issues until we were already driving, so we weren't able to go back. My coffee drink wasn't sweetened at all..it tasted like straight black coffee. On the other hand, the milk tea with boba and another tea we ordered were overly sweet. And when I say overly sweet, even after trying to dilute one of them at home, it still tasted like a concentrated syrup. Considering the price, this was especially disappointing. You expect a certain level of consistency, and this just missed the mark. With so many other tea spots nearby, I wouldn't return. read more

I asked for 2x creme brûlée and I sat there and watched the oldest lady scrape the walls of their small brûlée container for the last bits of it. When I went to pick up my order, I said I had asked for 2x and the girl said that it probably mixed in... honestly pretty disappointing since I sat there and watched them make it. One of my fav boba shops, mainly for nostalgia but also their drinks do not miss. My favorite is the taro milk tea with golden boba. Their golden boba is very soft and not too chewy which is perfect for me. Yummy with every sip. This taro is my fav and one of the only shops where I truly enjoy it. interior was nicely decorated with signs and lights and can definitely be a place to chill/hang out. Plenty of parking as it is situated at the corner-ish of a plaza. Still quite a few people in the shop around 9:20 pm. I ordered at the kiosk and the menu was quite diverse. I ordered a regular lychee yakult w/ crystal boba, 75% sweetness. I will say that I think that 75% is still a bit too sweet for me. There was also a syrupy artificial flavor that I was debating with myself whether it was good or not. There was a good amount of crystal boba, so that was a nice surprise. Although my friend and I were not welcomed in, the staff was sweet when they handed us our drinks. Also a word of warning, the order kiosk has a processing fee. I have been to a ton of Ding Tea locations but surprisingly this was my first visit to this location. I was on the way home from a LA Kings game and had a craving. I looked for the nearest Ding Tea and was pleased to find this location only a few exits away from my current location. It is conveniently located about a mile north off the 60 freeway off the Nogales exit. It is one of the first business when you first pull into the strip mall and I was able to park right in front on a late Saturday afternoon. Not all Ding Teas have my favorite kumquat lemon tea so I was very pleased to find they do make it. They also have guava flavored tea which not all locations have either and I ordered this for my girlfriend. They further distinguish themselves by having some munchie food items. They have a ordering kiosk for when it's busy. There was no line so I just walked up and ordered from the cashier. The staff was very friendly and the drinks were delicious and made quickly. read more

Monster latte with oat milk (they give you a heads up that the receipt on the screen will say almond milk but it's oat milk!) Today (7/9/20) is the 7th anniversary of when the BTS gave their fandom the name "ARMY." In light of this ARMY anniversary day, I felt it fitting to write a review for a business that is run by a BTS ARMY and has been supportive of the fandom as the site of several fan-organized birthday cup sleeve events (pre-pandemic, of course). I first tried one of Ding Tea's milk teas (I got taro) when they catered some of their signature drinks at a RM birthday park event. I was impressed that Ding Tea was ready to go as soon as they arrived with their EZ-up canopy, table, and coolers filled with drinks. And I've been back when they hosted two BTS members' birthday events at their brick and mortar storefront. There's plenty of indoor space, with a cool stationary wooden swing near the front door for photo ops. Parking is very easy in the plaza they're in. The fan hosts did a great job organizing the events and Ding Tea's employees did a great job taking care of the endless stream of customers those days. They were friendly and prompt in getting orders taken and served. On days that I'm not feeling a milk tea, their passion fruit green tea at 75% sweet and with 75% ice ($3.70) is pretty much my go-to drink. And pre-pandemic, I love that I can bring my reusable tumbler for my drink and not have to take home another plastic, disposable cup! read more

With many Ding Tea locations around, this one is located in a small plaza on the corner. The parking lot was a bit packed when I came, so I had to park further away. This particular location has a swing and a cool animated painting on the wall. With so many drinks to choose from, it was hard to choose so I opted my usual - the jasmine milk tea. I was torn between their jasmine green tea latte and their jasmine green milk tea, not sure what the difference is besides probably the milk that they use. I've been to this location a couple of times for special BTS events. They go all out and invite a few local army to host BTS members' birthday events. They have fun decorations and they even develop a special menu. I love that atmosphere they create and how friendly the folks are behind the counter. I've tried a couple of their special event drinks and they were delicious and never overly sweet I can only imagine that their mainstay menu items are just as great. Glad one opened up here near the Walnut/West Covina/La Puente/City of Industry border. They've been here for a few years already. Much better than the other local places around the immediate area. Ding Tea has alot of the flavors and toppings you could ask for to meet your current craving. The menu inside shows their most popular drinks if you cant decide what to get or if you need any recommendations. Staff are friendly and also help me out with my preferences if I'm torn between what drink to order. My wheel of rotation of flavors usually goes something like: Mango slush, matcha milk tea w/boba, taro milk tea w/crystal boba, jasmine or hokkiado mlik tea with a topping, thai tea with grass jelly. Once in awhile I'll choose something totally random that my tastebuds aren't used to. I do forget sometimes to lessen the amount of sweetness when I take my order and don't realize until I take my first sip. It helps the times the worker reminds and asks me about that; sometime they don't. Overall, love it here and I always stop by most weekends as i finish errands and am on the way home. It's not like other boba places that have that powdery feel. Toppings are always fresh here. Make sure you stamp your card so you can eventually get your free drink! Idk what it is with these young workers but they sure know how to put off customers. I come here regularly as it's close to my house but I don't think I'll frequent this place anymore. I'm Asian myself and some of the younger Asian girls particularly with the ABG look and attitude is really f'ing annoying. I'm Asian myself and every time I come in, the Asian girl doesn't say a thing. Just gives me this blank stare as if she's too good for me or something. I don't need the attitude. I'm not there to hit on you or anything but it sure feels like they're trying to give u the cold shoulder. See ya! There are plenty of other options nearby. That, and the price. I've always passed by on my way to go drinking @ GUI bbq so I'm glad I finally had the chance to grab some drinks here. :) This location is located inside a pretty dead plaza. There's really nothing here except for a KFC. For this same reason, it's easy to find a parking, which I like. I ordered my drinks on Yelp and it was ready by the time I got here. However I noticed they gave me a small size while I had paid for a Large. No problem - they quickly offered to make me a new one and let me keep the small size. Ding Tea is a boba place. The have several locations in California. This one is located in a strip mall across from Nogales High School. I ordered a Chocolate Milk Tea with Golden Boba. The Chocolate Milk Tea tasted like straight up chocolate with no hint of tea at all. Think of it as drinking Ghirardelli. In other words, this was very rich in chocolate flavor. The Golden Boba had a chewy-sticky consistency with a sweet honey flavor. Service was pretty good. I was greeted with a "We'll be right with you." The employee was friendly and informative. I didn't know the difference between crystal boba and golden boba (I don't know of any other boba place that offers either of these) and he explained the differences. Golden Boba being similar to regular boba and Crystal Boba being more like seaweed. The second description kind of frightened me so I went with golden boba. You can take pictures at your heart's content in front of the grass wall. I think each location has a different kind of wall. The Diamond Bar location had a flower wall. Reposting review because I cannot respond to the manager's response for some reason. They advertise closing at 10 pm, which seemed perfect for a late-night treat. I arrived near the advertised closing time. However, when I walked in, the staff practically shooed me away, claiming they were already closed! The TV for the menu was turned off and it was obvious they've already cleaned everything up and put everything away. Here's the thing: If you can't serve customers until the advertised closing time, update your hours online and on your storefront. It's frustrating to waste a trip, thinking the location is open, just to be turned away at the door. EDIT: Owner responded saying the employees said they could take my order, but they were out of boba. The employees said "sorry, we're closed already" when I walked in. When I asked them what time they closed, they awkwardly said 10 (because they knew it was still before 10) and then said "but we're out of boba" as the justification. Never did they say they could take an order for anything else without boba. If you don't believe me, you can check the cameras (if they have mics lol). Not really trying to make a big deal out of this, but this is legitimately how it went down. read more

Normally there isn't an issue with this location however two weeks in a row the order from Grubb hub has been wrong. Last week instead of a double boba large milk tea we got a small single boba milk tea. Then this week we order the same way and we got a large boba with boba and coffee jelly. Maybe Grubb hub is not working or the folks at this location are not paying attention to the details of the order. Could've been better :/ I went for an event being held there and ordered a Hokkaido Milk Tea w/ 50% sugar and boba. They informed me the flavor would be more of a caramel flavor and I was worried it would be too strong to overpower the tea flavor. The girl helping me told me it is just a hint and is not strong at all. When I got the drink, right off the bat it was wayy too sweet. It tasted like 100% sugar when I definitely asked for 50% in my order. In addition, the caramel flavor was sadly too strong; almost like drinking sweet caramel... Now i'm not saying its horrible hence the 2 stars. They could have done a better job at either informing me, or to adjust their sugar/flavors.
