Di Nicks has been around since the 1970's and the current owners took it over 8 years ago with the same traditiorecipes that have made this place a long standing resturaunt in the area for 50 years. Was in the area and decided on having a roast beef sandwich. We decided to split one and a side of pizza fries. We ate in the restaurant. It was quiet for a Sunday afternoon. Our sandwich came right out soon after ordering. They were nice enough to cut it in half for us. It came out piping hot. Soooooo good. The shave of the meat was just right. The sharp provolone gives it some extra flavor. The full size was a perfect size to share. Then we got the pizza fries. They were good, but the fries could have been cooked a little longer. They had that rawish potato texture/taste. There was a ton of sauce and cheese along with some chopped up garlic. Bonus was they had Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer in a can. It just hit the spot. I'm came here with my family to get some sandwiches. I haven't been here in a very long time. Got the chicken cutlet with the provolone and broccoli rabe, roast beef sandwich and the cheesesteak Italiano. I was a little shocked. There was one little tiny piece of chicken cut in half. The broccoli rabe was all stems. The bread definitely needed some olive oil. You would've thought the chicken would've been a little bit more moist. I also didn't realize there was a little fixins bar. I will try it again and hopefully it will be better next time around. read more

I've stopped in here a few times recently after several months of never realizing it was there. This is the definition of a hometown sandwich shop that seems to be run by the whole family. The place looks small but there is actually quite a bit of seating inside. Usually busier during the lunch hour, you can tell this is a spot that locals love! I've ordered two sandwiches from here and they've both been great! The bread is definitely fresh and most likely sourced from a local bakery or baked in house (I'll have to ask next time). The Italian is really good, loaded with all the Italian meats and you can top it with Italian spices. It's very flavorful and surprisingly light, whereas some big Italian sandwiches I've had feel very heavy in the stomach after eating. The real winner here, and what I recommend you order, is the roast pork sandwich. This thing is fantastic! Fresh tasting, juicy pork, on fresh bread that soaks in all the flavor. I like spicy so I always order mine with Long Hots which really ties all of the flavors together well. The sandwiches are HUGE, I usually end up cutting mine in half and saving some for later. They brought the sandwich out to me in less than 5 minutes. It was a good size and the correct wetness. But it definitely could have been hotter and more flavorful. They also offer other sandwiches, fries, and cheesesteaks which I'm sure are great...but how often do you order a salad at McDonalds? You catch my drift. We once loved this place so much that we would make the pilgrimage from West Deptford to get our loaded roast pork or roast beef sandwiches. All the while passing by many other decent sandwich shops along the way. We found out that Bob and Robbie had sold the business earlier this year (as we were told by the wait staff) and the end result is that the food quality has dropped off significantly. I ordered take out here for my son and I about a week or so ago. The gentleman at the front counter was very friendly and my order was prepared quickly. I ordered roast beef with broccoli rabe, long hots and mild provolone and I ordered my son a cheesesteak. I was so disappointed when I opened the sandwich and it was literally a HUGE sloppy wet mess. Thank God they finally expanded from that little walk-up joint on the corner of Kings Hwy & Black Horse Pike to a place you can walk around in and access the large vat of necessary pepper variations to put on top of your bomb sandwich. I placed an order on Saturday for catering for Christmas Eve (Monday). Despite me reading the 72 hr advance notice required, I called to give it a try. They were able to help with a 5 lbs order of pork with all the fixings! When we went to pick it up, the smell was so amazing we had to have a roast beef sandwich right there. Everyone there was very nice and took time to chat with us despite it being a busy, mid-day on Christmas Eve. The pork was a big hit for dinner!
