    Pepperoni pizza GREASEY

Service was wonderful. Very cute little neighborhood place with lots of local blue hairs. The food was not good, sauce was weird. We started with the fried ravioli. They seemed house made but they tasted weird and like the grease they were fried in. The pizza was so incredibly greasy, it's all you could taste. Literally everything here tasted like grease. Service was impeccable. It was just a waste of $40

This is a very atmospheric, neighborhood joint. I would recommend the chicken parmigiana, their ravioli (chicken & spinach), as well as the Italian meat sauce (gravy, made with celery, and other vintage ingredients). Their combination options make for a good deal. The prices are very reasonable. The homemade tiramisu is also delicious. Most everything in this restaurant is made from scratch, and tasty. I don't recommend the Italian sausage, as they prepare them in a manner that chars them to the point of being burnt black (yuck). The service was generally attentive and unhurried. I was especially lucky to speak with the owner as I paid at the register next to the front entrance. He's a really nice guy, and should be proud of his family's continued culinary tradition. Moreover, when I'm in the Memphis Zoo neighborhood again, I will definitely consider returning to try their other meal offerings. (The meatballs are calling to me!)

Great family friendly old school Italian restaurant! The food is wonderful & the service is excellent. If you're in the mood for some comfort food for lunch or dinner~ go here or get it to go! Highly recommend this hidden gem in midtown Memphis. A++

A hidden gem. First time here. Dino's is located right in the neighborhood cross street of McLean and Tutwiler. Parking is very limited on street and there maybe parking at nearby store. Once inside the restaurant it has that comfortable neighborhood mom & pop feel. Nostalgic movie posters and photos are the decor. Plenty of seating for both sides of the restaurant. I found the ceiling tiles interesting and remanence of my old house. The menu has plenty to choose from and a nice selection of desserts. I ordered the spaghetti and ravioli half and half which was delicious. A friend ordered the Italian sausage spaghetti which was equally tasty. Sweet tea was perfect. Not too sweet. I ordered bruschetta and the limoncello dessert to take home. Customer service was excellent. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. The bathrooms are located way in the back and be warned that they are definitely on the small side. Before you leave you must visit the next room a view the military collection. We struck up a conversation with the guy sitting back there (not sure if he was the owner) but the collection on the wall was his. It was great to hear about the items and his collection from the various wars. If you want a nice Italian meal with a nostalgia feel and a bit of military history this is the place.

The food was the best. Very timely service. Appreciated the Italian ambiance. Planning on using them to cater the Ladies Italian American Civic League Quarterly meeting this month.

    70th birthday party

Celebrating my 70th birthday with about 25 family members and was blown away about how good the food was and the service with 25 members of my family in attendance. There's no better Italian food in Memphis than what you can get at Dino's Grill. A old fashion family restaurant with many generations of family involved through the years. The meat sauce "gravy" is second to none and spaghetti and meatballs or Italian sausage is to die for. My wife loves the eggplant or chicken parmigiana and toasted raviolis as the best in town. The waitress was very attentive and took and served our meal expeditiously well. Rudy and Mario Grisanti did a great job accommodating our party of 25 and even put together a special menu for us at a great value. Appetizers, salads and entrees including garlic bread and fountain drinks or tea cost us about $22/each and it was more food than one person could eat. This place deserves two thumbs up!

Are the cheese sticks the usual frozen ones like you get at applebee's or are they made there?

We get our cheese stick from a food purveyor. Not sure about the one's at Applebee's.

The Italian bread with herbs was delicious, and every appetizer we tried -- from the cheese fritters to the calamari -- was excellent. I chose the smoked chicken ravioli for my entrée, and it was truly delectable. We finished dinner with key lime pie for dessert, and it was mmm good. Overall, the meal was fabulous. My only complaint was the air-conditioning, which felt brutally cold at times. Thankfully it wasn't on continuously, but I couldn't help wondering -- why is the AC blasting on a cold January night? Our server was excellent as well. A+!

Our waiter, Jason, was very attentive throughout the evening and made sure we had everything we needed. We started with drinks, and I ordered the blueberry tequila sour -- twice! They were very good. I ended the night with a French 75, which was also delicious. For appetizers, our table ordered a wide variety including cheese fritters, calamari, crab cakes, artichoke dip, and mussels. Most of the appetizers were enjoyable, especially the crab cakes, which were my personal favorite. The only disappointment was the calamari, which lacked flavor, had a rubbery texture, and even the marinara sauce was bland. After filling up on appetizers, I skipped an entrée and ordered another round of crab cakes instead. While they were excellent, they were served over a bed of pinto beans mixed with salad, which felt like an odd pairing. There are definitely better side options that could complement the dish. Overall, the food was about a 7/10, service was a solid 9/10 (though drinks took a little longer than expected), and the ambiance was pleasantly low-lit without feeling overly formal. It's a family-friendly spot with a welcoming atmosphere, and I'd definitely consider returning for future special occasions.

Moody lighting, low rumble of noise and music you enjoy but don't notice. My kinda place. Rye was our server and she was excellent. Not only top-notch recommendations but also let us know about the tasting menu- I can't wait to come back to try the off-menu one they do the last Wednesday of every month. We got raw oysters to start and chose the seasonal preparation. It was almost like frozen lemonade crème fresh, but with the brine of the oysters it just worked. Would def order again! We started with a whiskey sour and AM old fashioned. Both great but mine was so good my husband ordered another round of them for us before we got a bottle of red. I don't recall what bottle it was but it worked perfectly as it wasn't too heavy and swung easily from apps/pasta/entrees. Then we opted into the blind tasting menu. 5 courses, chosen from the menu that you don't know what you're getting until it touches the table. My husband and I are pretty adventurous as far as food goes so it was perfect for us. No shit- Everything was amazing. I loved the tasting menu as it was not any dishes we were considering and I am so glad we got to try things we wouldn't have otherwise. For example, the little asparagus appetizer was the best thing we ate, on God. Like, what in the actual F ! The kind of magic they created with those little green veggies was out of this world --I didn't even want to swallow it was that delicious. There was some kind of fish crudo with beet and kumquat relish. Weird and so good! We also had some pasta with a lemon-y butter sauce and spinach and then a chicken entree. I was getting so full by the time entrees came I ate less than half of it but the skin was crispy, chicken was cooked to perfection and husband finished them both. Now yall, the dessert was a heavenly little pot of rich chocolate with a caramel base and crunchy honeycomb crisp on top. I was so full I couldn't finish it but my husband finished his and then mine. We also ordered a little affogato and it was perfect to finish the meal. I will absolutely be back and look forward to trying their other restaurants in the near future!!!

Overall there are 5 courses and took about 2 hours. Overall the food was very good except the entree. The spinach was extremely salty and unfortunately every time i or my group took a bite of spinach it was off putting. I was able to eat the portions not touch by the spinach but it was so salty spinach was inedible. The best thing of the night was this spinach pasta dish with pumpkin. I would just go back for that.
