This is a good local pizza place! I really like almost everything on the menu, from the pizza to the salads to the subs. The only thing I have found here that I do not like is their holiday cookies, don't get them. The atmosphere is great for hanging out with a bunch of people and spending a couple hours talking and eating. If you have kids they can watch as the dough is spun in the air and the pizza's are made, and while I don't have kids old enough to enjoy that yet, I have seen many many kids delighted to watch the creation of the pizza's. read more

I've never had a problem with this Dions ever. They are always very helpful over the phone and whenever I come in to pick up my order they always greet me with a smiling face. That's something that's really nice to see it from a Dion since I've heard so many rumors about how terrible it is working at Dions. I work at a residential care house that's very close to this Dion so I'm constantly getting salads and pizzas from here. Came into this location on a quite busy-ish Sunday evening for dinner w/ friends. The lady at the register helped half of us (note that there was only 4 of us in the group) & said that she'll be "w/ us in just a moment" as she went to go put in the prior order. Okay cool.. like freaking 7-10min passes & SHE IS STILL NOT BACK. This location is by far on their naughty list. (I suggest the Morris location for best quality). We usually go with the subs. Our order was correct except missing one dressing and looked like they threw it together. At the Morris location ingredients are more evenly distributed, not here. I've always loved Dion's food, but this location over the past few months has gotten my order wrong multiple times even when I've been very clear (things like "no mustard" on a sub shouldn't be difficult). Maybe they need a better system of writing down orders? I absolutely must check any orders before I take it to the table or leave with any carry out order. Literally waited 10 minutes for a cashier, every single one of your employees dodged me and my friend. We lost our appetite eventually and just left. Check your employees and make sure they actually tend to their customers that are clearly waiting for you. Also, keep in mind as I was waiting 3 of your employees were chatting in the dining room. They could not find our pizza when we got here, and we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our food, even though we called before hand and came at their estimated time. On top of that, the customer service was terrible. We witnessed workers sitting around on their phones on multiple occasions as we were waiting for our ranch or our drinks. Great pizza at a reasonable price. But what I find really amazing is that the teenagers that work at Dion's give some of the best customer service in Albuquerque! My favorite pizza is one that they custom make for me. I order a cheese pizza with extra cheese, mushrooms, pine nuts and spinach pre-mixed with olive oil before they put it on the pizza and I order it cooked well done. If you ask them to put the olive oil on the spinach before they bake the pizza, the spinach tastes better and doesn't come out dry and crunchy. Those teenagers make it perfect every time! And I ask them to substitute spring mix in the tossed salad. They do charge you a little extra for the spring mix substitution.The ranch dressing at Dion's has to be one of the best ranch dressings that I have ever tasted! read more

Finally tried Dion's after hearing so many good things. I'll keep this brief because they really do deliver what they're reputation boasts. You can order by the slice or larger, whole pizzas. They definitely know how to make great pie (tastes like pizza from a pizza parlor, not a chain restaurant... Even though they are one!) and their prices are right. The staff seem to mostly be young people in high school or just-out-of, but are usually nicer than could be expected. It's nice that they're based in ABQ of course, making it more appealing than going to Domino's or Pizza Hut, or whatever. Since Pizza Barn in Edgewood is now a little too far away, this is our new go to spot. We'll be back :) read more

I called in an order for a large pizza and a turkey sandwich. So I went ahead and decided to order a gallon of lemonade.When I got home I poured a glass and I was disgusted! My lemonade had salt in it!!!! I went back inside and a young kid was smiling and smirking!! I didn't think it was funny! So he called his manager and he refunded my money! But who ever is doing the hiring should re-train these young kids with there first jobs and properly show them how to prepare food and drinks! Yes you the owner needs to fix this problem! The menu has a wide variety of options such as pizzas, salads, subs, and desserts. Every time I come into Dion's, I'm always greeting with a bright smile and a helping hand. Their service is very speedy and there's even a large window where you can watch the employees make the pizza. Their food is undoubtedly fresh because you can see them making it. The quantity of the food is always bountiful with slices the size of a dinner plate and salads as big as your head. The customers are always smiling and laughing happily. You're always guaranteed a clean environment to enjoy your meal to the fullest. I ordered two slices and pepperoni pizza. The crust is always perfectly crunchy, the sauce is delicious, the cheese is just the right consistency, and the pepperoni is crispy. They are most famous for their godly ranch which can be bought by the bottle at any time. Everyone including me praises their ranch with the highest regards. Ranch is not the only amazing ingredient, their Greek dressing is the perfect balance of salty and savory and goes surprisingly well with their homemade chips. If you want tasteless food this is the place for you. I ordered a cheese pizza and it was sooo greasy. I understand pizzas do have grease but the amount was just excessive. There was a point where I thought the dough was raw but nope, the grease just seeped to the dough and made it appear raw. If you have ever lived in or eaten pizza in Chicago or the east coast...avoid this place. Very bad pizza with grease that had to be soaked up off the top. I love Dions but let me explain why this Dions gets a one star, I ordered my usual 3 slices of cheese pizza well done, when I get home there's mushrooms and sausage on the bottom of my pizza like if it was sitting on top of those slices and no one could take em off, secondly my pizza was cold, and soggy, I called and they told me to take the pizza back, I picked it up cuz I was on my way to west gate so that was a no, I asked if I could take it to the Dions on this side of town and of course that was a no, I'm disgusted in Dions and don't know if I can eat it again which is sad cuz I love the food but due to this experience I may never visit again. I've been eating at Dion's for over 30 years and have always been happy with my food until the past year or so. It's gotten so absolutely disappointing that I can no longer justify wasting my money on food that is poorly prepared with ingredients that are subpar. Everything is just tasteless. I've always loved their Greek salad, but the last one I had had old lettuce, barely any feta, the olives had no taste and the Greek dressing no longer tastes the same. Had for the first time yesterday. Was fabulous! Very fast and friendly. We did a call in order, I really liked that they have a drive through pick up window. The sauce and crust is awesome. I've visited the Dion's on Central on about a dozen occassions. I like that the service is quick and the staff are pleasant. We've ordered both pizzas as well as sandwiches. The pizzas are okay but their sandwiches are great. I've tried a number of different ones and they are all fabulous - especially with the Greek dressing on them. I've also had this location cater parties (my office is in the neighborhood) and the food was a hit! If I liked the pizzas more, I would give the restaurant 5 stars. read more

They still can't manage to consistently get Internet orders right. Apparently greasy, scrawled, hand-written tickets are easier for the employees to read. I was not surprised when I read a review that said the guy behind the counter was hitting on a girl instead of doing his job. I'm sure that happens at every establishment at some time. What did surprise me was walking in and seeing that exact thing immediately. There was a girl on that little stage thing to the left that lets you look over the counter and through the glass. What I noticed was she was in the tall middle portion and leaning over the glass, hair and all. She was chatting up the guys on the other side as they were attempting to work. Don't worry though, during my time at the restaurant she was distracting employees that were cleaning up the guest portion of the restaurant too. Lots of snapchats taken from the podium. I just hope her long ass hair didn't make it into my pizza but maybe I just have too high of standards for my pizza. read more
