I had a really bad experience at the Dion's on the Southside a year ago. One of their reps reached out to me, which I appreciated, to try and make it right. Since then, I've tried both Dion's multiple times and things just haven't gotten any better. On the last visit, I ordered a small salad and a medium pizza. I got the salad within 5 min which was great. 45 minutes later, no pizza. I went up to check, just to find out the pizza had been done for 20 minutes and sitting in the kitchen. They never checked or called. It was so cold by that point, I asked for a manager. She didn't offer to remake it or anything, just refund the pizza...and just the pizza. Didn't matter that I ordered a side of ranch which cost more for the pizza that I no longer had and no longer needed the ranch. I'm done with Dion's and will never go back. read more

Last night here and we wanted a simple dinner at the hotel. Ordered Dion's for delivery- classic pepperoni pizza- and it was SO GOOD. Pepperoni pizza is easy to compare since it's basic, and this was easily one of my favorite pepperoni pizzas I've ever had. read more

The food is always good at Dion's. The turkey sub and chicken salad are consistently good. The restroom was sub par, for being open during optional mask wearing - the cleanliness should match the quality of the food. The tray / trash disposal area and several tables needed cleaning. read more

They should change the name of this place from Dion's to Moron's pizza.. i swear EVERYTIME i order a pie from this place they screw it up. I mean.. what does it take? It's only pizza.. this is their main offering. The make pizzas everyday. Here's what I order. I order their special, and i ask them to substitute the ground beef with another application of mushrooms. And then i ask them to substitute the canadian bacon with another application of mushrooms. So lets do the math.. that would be um.. ah.. triple mushrooms, right? Same amount of ingredients, but three of the ingredients are mushrooms. So they always screw that up. And heres the kicker. I ask them to square cut it. Not party cut, just square cut. They ALWAYS MESS THIS UP!! This time around they cut my pizza into 100 1-inch squares! Other times they cut the pizza into triangle slices and then cut it into squares! It's not like I'm throwing them a curve ball like asking them for soup. Just triple mushrooms and square cut! Maybe if they're staff had an average age of greater than 16, they might do better. read more

Okay, I understand when a car breaks down in the drive thru lane there's nothing the workers can do about it. Though after 20 minutes of waiting and once the drive thru was clear of any broken down cars, I still had to give a name for my order which wasn't ready. I was dying for pizza. I've never hated a pizza more than this one. The location is a little confusing, is there wait staff? For all those tables? It was very a clean dining area and nice privacy if you wanted it. But that pizza had three building blocks: cardboard dough, plastic cheese, and grease. The most underrated pizza place in Santa Fe! Services is quick and easy, order up front, pick your own table or booth. Simple, simple, simple. The prices are perfect too. My go-to order is one slice of pizza and one full salad. That might not sound like much, but the portions are hefty enough to fill you up probably even just on a full salad alone. The price is right, the management clearly cares, and it's easily found with good parking options. SOLD! We were going to Weck's but they were closed so we came across the parking lot to Dion's- my husband's coworker spoke highly of their pizza so it was a good chance to check it out. We had the Tuscany, a pesto pizza with artichokes, sundried tomatoes and cheeses. The crust on this pizza was really good, it was crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside and had some flavor to it. We also had a salad with it, it was a lot of iceberg so I'd pass on that next time. The pizza I would definitely do again. The price for three of us with drinks, pizza,salad= $23 - plus we had two extra pieces for lunch this week! read more

Santa Fe isn't known for it's amazing pizza, so we make do with what we have. Dion's is a perfectly reasonable place for a family to grab some cheesy, kid-friendly pizza. The sauce is good, the ingredients are fresh, and the dining room spacious and well designed. We had a kid-approved pepperoni pizza that was quite tasty, but definitely too greasy. If you don't mind mopping up the grease from your pizza with a napkin, this is a decent way to go. They have a viewing station where kids can watch the pizzas being made, but due to the design, there isn't much that one can see over the condiment-fridge lids. A great idea with mediocre execution. While this bonus feature was a bit of a disappointment, over all the place is a great kid restaurant. I would definitely recommend it to other families with toddlers. They also have a drive-through, but I've never used that. read more

Nothing special. Food quality is passable. Mostly patronized by teenagers and families with lots of little kids. It's really loud and distracting since parents let their kids run around, yell, and jump on the seats. Staff is hit or miss, don't seem to really care much about the customer. They call out your name over a PA when your food is ready. The girl who was working the counter was calling out names loud and clear. Then some other guy took over and he just mumbled incoherently. My food sat on the counter for a long time since I didn't catch my name being called. But surely they followed up and called it again when they saw it was still sitting there, right? Nope. You get one shot, they could apparently care less if you heard it or if the food just sits there getting cold. read more

Subs and pizza from Dion's has become a regular thing at our house. Really inexpensive and not bad. Kids love the pizza- I always get the turkey sub. My wife gets salads. This is a nice hidden gem. When you're in Santa Fe, you think of the art scene and great SW cooking. But one would not think twice of eating at a pizza chain but I was quite surprised. I haven't had Dion's in a decade (moved out of state) and was so delighted to visit one again while in Santa Fe. I highly recomnend the 505 special- pepperoni and green chile. I thought it sounded kinda gross, but it is really good. I tried a slice at work, we had multiple pizzas from an equipment rep. That's always a good opportunity to try something different and I'm so glad. Love it. I'm here tonight for more. The price point is about the same as other restaurants in town. Santa Fe is pricier than it should be, but it's less painful when the food's good. Dion's is a good option for small or large groups, not too loud, and conveniently located. I give dions a 3 star. The last time we ordered 1 large pizza and 1 medium pizza. I placed order online and picked it up in their drive through. When I arrived at home the crust on both pizzas were both overcooked and very hard I cant believe they would serve something like that. This is the first time I've had a experience like that. However the worker (Selena) at the window couldn't find our order in the system. Then magically found it after physically showing her the email confirmation and details. Food was good. We found this place by accident recently when looking for a lunch spot and returned again during our visit to the area. We had pizza by the slice and a great toasted turkey & cheese sub sandwich. Counter service where you place and pick up the order. A nice dining area with comfortable booths and tables. There is an elevated space for the kids to watch the pizzas being made. Me and a few of my friends were super hungry after making the trip from ABQ to train in Santa Fe. Post training we stopped in to grab some subs and try the new G Chili sauce. Waited 45 minutes for our subs! Had to ask the counter twice to check on them. Day time manager, wtf mate?!?! Food was of course delicious but won't ever stop in here again for food. FYI The new green chili sauce is in fact the bomb however so it sucks this is a bad review. read more
