Ordered a takeout for the Tuscany pizza and I'm impressed. Not an Artichoke hearts fan but I love this pizza.

Terrible customer service from manager Daniella on January 14. We apparently made a mistake when ordering online. When we arrived to pick up and noticed pizza was not what we wanted and would dions correct it Daniella told us too bad she wouldn't take back original and that we would have to pay (twice) to get the pizza we wanted. But we could take the pizza we didn't want and pay an additional $2 for the ingredients we had desired. So we paid $2 For extra pepperoni and left. She was dismissive and rude. Very bad impression for me since we have been long time customers from abq. Seriously overpriced for cold soggy pizza, on my last visit here they forgot to call my name for the rest of my order. They fixed our app and called us for it, then immediately put our pizza on the counter and forgot to call us back. This review is not for the food, which is good, but the service. I almost never get my order correct on the first try. Particularly for the subs, is it that crazy to want a sandwich WITHOUT lettuce?! Yet invariably the sandwich comes with lettuce. Not a little lettuce either, a box full! I feel like a jerk asking them to remake it, but I can't pick off a solid pound of lettuce. I had thought the pizzas were more consistent, but tonight I got there and found that they had just forgot to make my pizza. Now I have to wait and darn it I'm hungry! Went tonight after I ordered online for pickup. They didn't have the cookies we ordered, not the end of the world, but when we didn't want the oatmeal instead I asked for a refund and the young women working gave me a ton of attitude about it. She made me wait 10 minutes while she refunded each 1.50 cookie individually. That's right, individually. Talk about passive aggressive. Then we got our order, they were out of other stuff too. No apology, just attitude. Also because she took so long doing god knows what by the time we got home everything was cold. Pretty bad experience over all. Can't recommend this location. read more

The service at Dions is horrible. Tonight I called in my order was told 30 min. Waited in the drive up line for another 10 only to be told they are behind and that my pizza would be another 15 min. I just LOVE Dion's. Best pizza, the Santorini and the Tuscani are my favorite. Very thin crust and full of flavor. The salads and subs are delicious, specially if you dip in their greek dressing. read more

Horrible customer service and the wait time for the pizza. The salad was so watery and they didn't have any romaine lettuce so I couldn't get a Caesar salad. When the pizza arrived the middle of the pie was under cooked and the crust was so thin you couldn't even pick it up. It was so greasy I had to use several napkins to soak up the grease. I decided to give Dion's another shot. About a year ago I had a less than pleasant experience here. My pizza wasn't bad at all, it's a standard oven fired pizza. I only have two complaints: minus 1 star for the $2 charge to add a single topping to the pizza. Minus another star because my party finished all of their food before I even got mine. Your salads are very fresh and you get a lot for your money. The pizza is very good. I am from the Philly area and we are very picky about our pizza! Although it isn't like a Philly pizza, you shouldn't expect that in the SW but it is very good. My relatives felt the same way when they moved out here. Every time I visit I am very impressed with the courtesy and work ethic of your staff. You can see the teamwork and care they take in food preparation and service. Very clean, not real noisy although I guess if there are teams or a lot of kids it could be. I have never experienced a problem like that. I'm usually real satisfied with Dion's but I went wrong with ordering on line. I usually call it in. I guess I'm old fashion and may not understand the way these things work. I know that on my restaurant web site I pay an agency good money to get my menu and web site user friendly. Today Christmas Eve I wanted to treat my employees with the great 505 special which comes with green chile and pepperoni. We ended up with 5 cheese pizzas. The place is usually busy when I come here, so my mom and sister like to phone in their orders. The drive-thru is specifically for phone orders which is convenient to not have to get out of your vehicle. The longest I've ever waited for a sandwich and salad was 12 minutes, which if you ask me isn't bad at all. The staff is usually very friendly, a lot of them are young and are probably still in school, but they have always been really cool. I'm not a big fan of the pizza, but it's great for parties...not to mention the pitchers of juices/sodas they give to you to take to the table. Went in and was confused as to whether or not I was suppose to order or sit down and be waited on. After I ordered I was told my name would be called and I was to pick up my order at the next window. 25 minutes later still no order. Went to the window to ask where my medium pepperoni was and I was handed my order. The pizza tasted great and it was nice and hot but the drinks do not come with free refills unless you purchase a pitcher and I had a hard time finding a clean table. read more

I was very disappointed in the customer service. The cashier wasn't friendly at all. The chicken Caesar salad I bought had wilted brown lettuce. The place was filthy and the person who cleans the tables was just standing around as if there were nothing to be done. Well it is family owned, and they hire all local kids to work there. The service is fast and friendly, and even though it looks like a corporate chain, it's miles ahead of Pizza Hut, and a step above Domino's. The pizzas are edible and good, even after they've cooled off. I also like the salads, although I'm usually more inclined to use my own dressings. HOWEVER, I must ding this establishment a star for not offering free wifi to their customers. read more

My rating is not about their food but about just customer service. They have lousy customer service and no compassion I was locked out of my car because my key wouldn't work. They were the closest place I could walk to and I asked the cashier if I could. borrow their phone because I was stranded. They said no because of the covid epidemic which I totally understood. So then I asked them if I could give them a phone number that they could call to let my dad know that I was stranded and where I was at. The cashier said let me ask my manager. she came back and said no. I said are you serious ? You can't call somebody for me because of covid-19? I am not even going to touch the phone, I am asking you to make the phone call for me. she said let me ask another manager came back and said nope that is their policy I was very upset. What kind of human being denies someone that? If it was me I would have offered to use my personal phone to call someone for them. If that franchise can't help somebody out when they're stranded then how can you run a restaurant? They have no compassion. if I could I wouldn't give them any stars at all. And because of that I will never eat there. If they treat someone like that then they can take their pizza and stixk it where the sun don't shine read more

Dion's Pizza is a New Mexico exclusive restaurant that serves hot pizza to eat there or to go, submarine sandwiches, and salads for the vegetarian or otherwise not carnivorously inclined. You cannot beat the pizza, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. However, whenever my relatives order submarine sandwiches, Dion's always manages to get the ingredients of the sub completely wrong. However, this is a minor infraction and does not affect my rating, as I can understand how orders may get mixed up. All in all, I completely recommend this local restaurant for pizza, salads, and sandwiches, and I think it is one of the best pizza places I've ever been, alongside others. read more

Dion's used to be one of my go to lunch spots, however, my last few experiences have been ridiculous at this Santa Fe location. Horrible really. They always, always, always mess up the order. Whether it is called in or submitted online. Oh Lord, online ordering is a NIGHTMARE. There is always an item or items missing. Guaranteed. Once, they forgot the fruit cup. Alright, I let that slide. Next, they forgot the chicken on my chicken pecan salad. I asked for extra dion's mix, there was NO mix at all but I did get extra lettuce. I don't need extra lettuce! I specifically requested no pecans and low and behold, there they were...all over my salad. Thank goodness I don't have a nut allergy. So, I took a break from this place. After about 6 weeks, I decided to call in an order on a Saturday evening. Now, I'm not sure if the person on the other side of the phone was incompetent, unaware of their menu, unaware of his duties, new, hard of hearing, just a jerk....or all of the above?!?!?! I found myself repeating my order. Each and every thing I tried to order, was questioned. As if I was requesting things from another planet. Finally, after great frustration, I gave up! Told the guy to forget it and cancel it all. I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple rotten experiences in between, but it should be no surprise that I will not return to this place. I never review anything on Yelp, but this needs some attention. Dion's seriously makes the worst pizza we've ever had. EVER. We were trying to figure out who to get pizza from a couple of weeks ago because we didn't feel like making dinner and went for Dion's. We ordered around 9:20pm, and they close at 10. I am really conscientious about closing times in any restaurant because I have been in food and beverage for almost 20 years, so I felt like that was still an ok time to call. My boyfriend brought our "pizza" home, and it was so gross. Not cooked fully, really oily and seriously just looked like slop in a box. I've had better, much cheaper pizzas from Domino's. I called and complained (again, I never go this far unless there's a reason...), and the MOD was very nice and put a credit through for us. We weren't even sure we'd use it because of how disappointing the first one was. Tonight, we decided to use the credit. I called the order in. We ordered the exact same pizza, but I asked for it to have thicker crust since the last one was basically toppings and grease in the box. It was basically the same mess we got the last time. Not really any crust except for on the edges. The center doesn't have anything really aside from grease and toppings. You can't even pick a slice up without it drooping over. I'm sorry, but that's disgusting. Learn how to make pizzas since you're one of the few places in Santa Fe that actually makes pizza aside from the big chains. Never again, Dion's. *** Almost forgot to add that we had to put the "pizza" in the oven both times to make it edible because the crust was so thin and undercooked. read more

The sub sandwiches were good, but the service was horrible. I ordered online using their phone app. Waited 15 minutes and drove to the establishment. I waited an ADDITIONAL 25 minutes after checking in with the cashier. Apparently they forgot to tell the rest of the staff that a customer was waiting for their meal. Stopped into this local pizza place while in Santa Fe for a late-ish dinner. You order at the counter and then pick it up when your name is called. If you really want to see how your pizza is made, you can stand and watch that, too. Pizza was decent. The chef's salad only had ham on it and no egg, so should be listed as a modified chef's salad, but it was fresh and tasty. Would return here on a subsequent trip. read more

This was my first time coming to Santa Fe, NM, so I wanted to try a more upscale pizza than the $5 ones I usually get back home. So I tried Dion's. I called in my order, then picked it up at the drive-thru 40 minutes later. The heavy weight of the box was a good indicator of what was inside. I ordered a large "The Special" (peperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives, red onions, green chiles, ground beef) w/o ground beef + extra mushrooms. The first thing I noticed was how juicy the pizza was. I loved it. It was so moist, many of the toppings fell off as I got a slice. But that was ok with me. It was full of flavor and had a nice kick of spice from the green chiles. It was a great pizza experience. I would have liked a bit more tomato sauce, and the bleu cheese sauce was a bit watery, but I sureley enjoyed myself. $20 was worth it and I still have lots of leftovers. read more
