This place was excellent for a greasy spoon when the old Vietnamese man owned it... you could get a decent bacon and eggs and they give you a doughnut with a small coffee five bucks... Nikki's would charge you $20 for the same thing. What a great find!!! This little place doesn't look like much but serves the best breakfast burritos I've had in years. They have amazingly delicious donuts and a full menu. The best part is the service. The lady at the counter could not have been more kind and helpful. My mom asked for iced tea. We were told that the drinks were in the refrigerator behind us. She didn't think there was tea. Then she said I can make you some! She made my mom delicious iced tea and the when we went back in after eating to get donuts to take home she refilled my mom's glass. There is a small patio and she will bring your food out on real plates! We tried the large cinnamon roll, glazed, twist with chocolate, custard filled, and maple bar. I like the spot. It's outdoors and cutesy. I had heard it was good so I came since I live nearby. I really like the outdoorsy setup. It reminds me of Europe a little it. Unfortunately , the food was disappointing . My husband had the steak burrito and he said the meat is awful. He said it had a weird texture and taste. I had the chorizo breakfast burrito. It was okay. I paid extra for avocado. It was mostly filled with egg and potatoes, not much chorizo in there. Egg was like the filler with bits of chorizo. It was expensive for the price. Each burrito is about $15, which would be okay if the food was worth the price. Cheap quality food with high prices. The service was nice. The lady was really nice. The food here is really good - I recommend the Louisiana sausage breakfast burrito (with no potatoes). My kids LOVE the french toast - a full order is plenty for them to share. The food was decent--nothing exceptional, but not bad either. Prices were about average for the area. I'd consider going back, though it likely wouldn't be my first choice. The eggs appeared to be an egg product rather than freshly cracked eggs, and the bacon was a bit on the salty side. However, the burritos were pleasantly not overly greasy, which was a nice change compared to similar spots. Parking is quite limited, and there were a number of day laborers present in the lot during my visit. They did have a good variety of classic donuts, which was a plus. read more

This is a tiny neighborhood joint - no indoor seating; maybe 4 outdoor patio tables - with really good food! It was my 1st time here; I had the breakfast burrito with corned beef hash and my brother had the machaka chicken burrito. Both were VERY generous, delicious and came nicely wrapped in parchment and foil - very easy to eat without any mess. They came with a very nicely sautéed jalapeño pepper on the side and a small container of excellent salsa. Very good Colombian coffee! Plenty of good food! Service great! Props to the Cooks. They revamped the place, and it is so yummy. They have breakfast and more. They now have amazing street tacos. I had the asada and carnitas and was so impressed. Horrible. Worst burger I have ever had. Place was a mess despite an all new kitchen. The cooks were just goofing around and really just flopped together my burger. When I looked at the menu I had to really question if those guys were qualified to put together the items that were on the menu. All the paper with the stuff scribbled on it ,weird random menu items. I don't know who Nikki is. But, she sure F'd up a classic restaurant. Donut World was historic and just needed a kitchen remodel. I ate there my entire life and always enjoyed it. My fiancé had a Breakfast burrito and he said it was good. The reason for the two stars is because the French Toast Plate was the worse I have ever had. The sausage was under cooked and the French Toast was thin white bread and under cooked just tasted bad. My fiancé who eats anything tried it without me saying anything and he spit it out into the kitchen trash can, so I knew it wasn't just me. The staff is very friendly however the cashier didn't understand English and it was hard to order she tried and I appreciate that, she was very nice. I know very little Spanish I need to learn more always good to know more languages for anyone. My recommendation is to order the Mexican dishes and stay far away from the French Toast and sausages. read more
