But what brought me here to give a 5 star was the girl running the cashier when we came in! This place would be amazing .... if they got our orders correct. My coworker just picked up an order for 4 dogs here after speaking with the lady over the phone. The worker was really patient when we asked about making 3 of our dogs vegan - she said that they would do a mutt dog with a Beyond sausage. When we opened our order at work we noticed that they gave us soy hot dogs instead of the Beyond vegan ones. Also the buns are brioche and possibly contains eggs, our fault for not checking. I love Dirt Dog and am happy to patronize their new location in Downey. I ordered online and everything came out perfect, hot and on time. Just drove up, picked up the order and ate in our car on the parking lot. So this review is mainly on the pros of this location over their original spot in Adams. The original location is pretty much the worst so almost anything would be better. Downey is still a tiny store but has a much easier entrance and much more parking. Don't have to deal with a drive thru, no parking, or shady people. Still had a line out the door to order, so Downey loves them coming to their hood as much as those in LA. We'll probably be frequenting this location more rather than hassling with other one on Fig. Either way, I hope they continue online orders after covid has left us so I never have to wait in line again. read more

Found this place on Yelp while running errands in Downey. The food was good, I would definitely order the Deep Fried Oreos! Given that it was busy, and it is COVID, I think they may have been a little overwhelmed with orders. We ordered off Yelp, and it said our food was ready for pick up.
