Inside was clean and we were greeted upon entry. Menu is easy to understand. Food came out quickly and tasted good. The explicit music was my only negative experience, only because I had a child with me. Her tiny ears hearing the raw lyrical masterpieces of Tupac and Snoop was not on my list of things to try and explain today The Agua fresca was delicious, the esquite was tasty too. The dui dog was so flavorful.

Came for the strawberry shortcake cheesecake on a stick, ended up eating a fast food lunch fit to be served at a county fair...pretty good. Dirt dog is a chain of hot dog restaurants, founded in Los Angeles and has 5 locations throughout the area. This location in Long Beach closed in 2023, but then reopened in the same location, this time as Drips Cheesecake, with a food menu inspired by Dirt Dog. The location is listed under the dirt dog web page, and thus writing my review on that page. My wife and I stopped in for dine-in, ordering (and paying) at the counter after perusing the lighted menu above. It's divided into sections: bacon-wrapped hot dogs; tacos and wings; smash burgers and sandwiches; loaded fries; desserts: chocolate dipped cheesecake on a stick, deep fried oreos, chorros ; and hand crafted cocktails. We were the only folks dining in, with our food being delivered quickly after we ordered. The server said the self-serve soda machine wasn't working, so just gave us a bottled water, which was nice. Single Slam Burger ($7.50) - ordered plain. Good beef with melty american cheese on a potato bun. Birria Grilled cheese ($10.95) - shredded beef birria, topped with american cheese. It was good birria. Small chili fries ($6) - a small portion of battered fries, covered in a good beef chili with white and green onions. Strawberry Shortcake cheesecake ($8.99) - large pie shaped cheesecake, hand-dipped and decorated after ordering. This was the best part of the meal, very rich with a couple of bites satisfying. We brought this home, and continued to enjoy it (bite by bite). Portions (except the cheesecake) were on the smaller side, but the ingredients were good. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was dressed up for halloween. Definitely come for the cheesecake.

My family and I made a quick visit for dinner. It was quite empty with hip hop vibes. Dirt Dog is owned by Timothy Cam who discovered the famous hot dogs wrapped in bacon on the streets of LA. He loved it so much, therefore decided to come up with Dirt Dogs. It all started in LA and now there's a location in Long Beach. I had their hot dog before, it was quite delicious. This was my third time visiting and I ordered their smash burger, garlic fries, birria grilled cheese, and regular grilled cheese sandwich for my daughter. Seems like they had added more to their menu, since my last visit. The smash burger was a hit with lots of flavors along with the garlic fries. As for the birria grilled cheese, there wasn't a lot of the savory meat and it was a bit salty. Maybe a small cup of consomme to dip it in would have balanced it out. My daughter did mention her grilled cheese was also on the salty side. Therefore, she didn't consume the rest of it. If I were to revisit, I'll definitely stick to the hot dogs.

Love the ambiance the decor and music set the tone. Shout out to AJ!!!! He was super friendly. The service was quick and checked in on us frequently. Hot dogs were all bacon wrapped and buns were thick and toasty. I ordered the plain hot dog and a side of the Esquite. The day was very hot and the ice cold soju topped the day and the rest of meal off. Didn't get to order any dessert. But watched them hand dip the slices. They looked so delicious. Drove all the way from the OC to try. Had the elote dog on the lobster roll with fries and a drink. Really delicious. The hot dog is a very high quality dog. I think I would get the plain dog next time as I'm just a mustard and relish girlie but had to try. Wings and tacos look good.

I live 30 minutes away but after my brother recommended this spot I knew we had to try it. The interior is such a vibe. We stayed to enjoy our meal because it was so fresh inside with good music. The cashier was so patient because we were staring at the menu for about 5 min trying to pick between their tasty options! I got the house dog. It did not disappoint! The meats here are outstanding. My boyfriend got the birria tacos and they were, of course, delicious. Don't forget the consome.The carne on the asada fries practically melts in your mouth. My boyfriend couldn't get enough of it. Sadly they seemed a little simple to me (we asked for no pico). For about $8, it didn't seem too worth it to me. Would I come here again ? Yes! Can't wait to try the desserts and drinks next time.

What a gem!!! Dirt Dog, also known as Dripz, is located in a pretty big plaza with plenty of parking. The place had plenty of seating and had a TV for all the sports fan. I really wish they had a working restroom! Customer service was friendly, had great vibes and was super patient. My son and I ordered the Dirty Esquite, Asada Tacos and the Strawberry Shortcake (not pictured). Everything was amazingly delicious with tons of flavor! No regrets here, we'll definitely be coming back!

Smash Burger 6/10 - the burger was tasty but I felt like it was missing some flavor and was pretty basic, no wow factor - You can add bacon which I would recommend - Has grilled onions - Fries were good DUI HotDog 10/10 - Full of flavor and a lot of good meat toppings - Got a Texas toast bread, highly recommend Fresas Con Crema 9/10 - Does not have much alcohol, would recommend ordering a soju bottle on the side for a buzz - Very fruity taste - Has a whole strawberry icecream pop in it Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake 10/10 - The cheesecake itself was really good and is made in the restaurant - Delicious toppings! This is a must try spot for some delicious hotdogs. They have different options to choose from with a variety of toppings that are sure to fill you up. Their new drip cheesecakes come in many different flavors, you will not be disappointed. Their alcoholic beverages are not strong but the one I tried was really yummy! I personally wouldn't recommend the burger just because there is nothing shocking about the burger. That does not mean it wasn't a good burger so if you're into plain burgers it will do. The workers are very attentive and kind, they do not rush you to order and will also explain food items to you if asked. The atmosphere was very laid back due to their basketball themed restaurant. The workers kept this location clean as well. I would say this restaurant is a place worth checking out!

Well, my family and I liked our food, two got the hot dogs, I got a single burger and a cup of corn, yummy corn for sure, it was delicious. My son-in-law got a double burger and loved it too. Been here multiple times The food is good and tasty. Not healthy, but if you're coming for hot dogs then you're probably not worried about your waistline to begin with. The dogs have a lot of toppings, sauces, etc. So if that's not your cup of tea, you won't like it. Flavor overkill in some cases. Not really any options for plain dogs or fries on the menu, I'm sure you can order it that way though. Pastrami Dog, Elote Dog, Patty Melt Dog are all decent. Garlic Fries are good. A little on the pricey side for a hot dog ($10-$12). $40 for dinner for 2. The only issues I have are at the location. Music is good, but a little loud (if the employees can't hear your order, then the music is too loud). TV is on, but never on a good station. NBA Finals are on and they have Women's Collegiate Lacrosse on??? Tables are sticky and often not cleared after people leave. Ordering through Yelp is easy, but the service is extremely slow. The Yelp estimate for the order is 5 to 25 minutes. I always wait closer to 25 minutes and it never fails that I get there and it takes an additional 10-20 minutes to pick up the order. 40+ minutes for an order is excessive. I get that finding labor in today's climate is difficult, but they need to find a solution. I try and support these local businesses, but it's difficult when these types of things happen. Always tip them for pick up orders and never been thanked for that. read more

This place is solid. Nothing too special but will be good to go out and try it with some close friends! I'll start off but saying that the Dirty Chili Dog was my favorite. I got both my dogs on a lobster roll (75¢ extra). The chili was really flavorful. By far the best thing I got! Would recommend it. D.U.I Hot Dog was a bit much for me, but had a good flavor. Good thing I came on my cheat day since I'm pretty sure I consumed so my calories. Next, the fries. They were solid, fries with some chili seasoning. You can't go wrong. After I tried the the mini corn dogs. They were basic nothing special again but a kid wouldn't tell. Last for the food, the dirty esquite. I would say that was my least favorite. Didn't have the authentic flavor of a street esquite for me. I'll add a bit more mayo. Was a bit too soupy for me. Lastly the deep fried Oreos. They were really good. Especially if you have a sweet tooth. Overall the place was good. Would recommend to try. I'll be coming back whenever I'm craving the dirty chili dog. read more

Everything we had was delicious. I had a bite of the chicharrones fries they were good but to spicy for me. I also had the fried Oreos and honestly omg I fell in love. I have no idea where I have been at for the past 35 years on this planet but clearly i must have been under a rock cause those Oreos were amazing!!!! DUI Dog on regular bun, House Dog on lobster roll, Elote Fries..... Tried this place out, and I gotta warn those who've never been, the wait for your order may be quite long (20mins for me). The price is a little on the high side ($32 for me). If those don't change, who knows how long this place will stay open. Now, the food was excellent, and well worth the price. The delay for my order was understandable since everything was made to order and I only saw two employees... one taking orders, and one preparing the orders. Even so, nothing I received appeared sloppy or rushed. I'll even add, to their defense, there were three other orders ahead of me. If my common core math is right, the 20mins I waited wasn't just for my order. read more

To start I never been a hot dog person but after trying the flame thrower I will definitely be back to try the dui dog. My kid loved the nugget meal and my wife enjoyed the tacos. First time coming, will definitely be coming back! I ordered a House Dog, Chili Dog, and regular fries, Both Hot Dogs we're really good. I tried it with the regular bread, you have an option to upgrade to the lobster roll, I'm sure it would taste even better but I thought they were good how they come! I highly recommend both of these, and the fries were perfect! The staff was really friendly and answered all my questions, also they didn't rush me while I was looking at the menu which I appreciated. If you're in the area definitely check it out. So it's advertised so much on social media we finally made our way to try it out and corn elote was the best. Was really hoping the brats/sausages were made freshly their own recipe but seems to be typical beef and everything was too salty and the fries Were ok but I'm just particular with fries & I don't like this cut of fries they should consider getting the crispy lamb Weston brand fries I think the size is either 5/8th of 3/8th....smaller where the flavors can soak into the fries and not be so dry but overall it was a great experience and customer service was great! read more

Awesome spot, awesome dogs. The patty melt dog was super fresh, hot and delicious. Highly recommend the bun upcharge (they call it a lobster bun, aka a New England style bun), it held up well with the big hot dog and the smattering of toppings. Definitely will be back! read more

Coming in was such a good vibe, you're welcomed by a 90's rap playlist, a good ambience with amazing paintings throughout the place, and a staff being friendly. The menu has a variety of items such as elote hot dogs, seasoned fries, tacos, and Agua fracas (as well as beers for those of you who love to drink one or two lol). Get your napkins ready because these dogs are meant to be eaten by getting down and dirty, no shame in the eating game! A friend and I ordered a patty melt with a watermelon Agua Fresca on the side, my husband ordered a Pastrami Dog, and we all shared garlic fries, all so damn good. read more

This place has good food but every time we order they're always out of something and we have to modify the order. I don't know what's hard about keeping toppings in stock as it's crucial to your menu. You literally lose ability to sell one item because you have one topping missing. It's a pretty simple menu with unique toppings and you run out on weekend nights (Friday - Sunday) 3x now. It's also a $10 hot dog (which I don't mind paying) but what does it cost to have enough toppings ? HOLY MOLY read more

What an awesome place to eat...I am in love with all the fires!!! Really love it all but today it's super smoky in here. It's not a burning smell It's a "the fans/vents over the cook top/ fryer aren't working properly"!! Someone need to talk to the manager or owner to get that fixed before you run away all the customers will smoke filled eyes. I feel for these worker, all women holding it down... keeping orders rolling despite the work conditions!! They still taking orders and cooking while they coughing in the thick smoke!!! Tip them please and call out the owner for not stepping up to help them in these conditions.... read more

Once again back to dirt dog and I have to say, it tastes just as tasty as the last time I came here! With a grand opening and seeing their collaboration with Tapatio Sauce, I just had to try out their new dog. The flavors were mind blowing and the perfect amount of heat. I love spice, but at times can't handle too much of it so this was a nice dog for me. I also tried their Tapatio corn, which looks too pretty to eat and chose a new type of fries called filthy fries and it reminded me so much like nachos! Back to getting the green dog again since that was the best one I have tried last time and by far, still my favorite one! I really wanted to like this place. I went way out of my way to try it. The vibe was authentic, the staff was pleasant, and the food definitely looked enticing. Unfortunately the hot dogs were just meh. I ordered two of the most popular (according to the cashier) and was not too impressed. Very salty and overpriced if you ask me. Don't get me wrong -- it looked interesting and it was very creative, but it left our stomachs doing flip flops. Give me a Costco hot dog AND a coke for $1.50 thank you. read more

Our first visit... I got the house dog, and my wife got the elote dog and order of regular fries... I enjoyed my house dog, although I am not that fond of all beef hot dogs... This restaurant was amazing. We had the Elote dog, asada tacos, filthy fries and the kids meal. I never eat dessert but this was an exception. The Horchata ice cream was plenty enough for two people. Terrible location. I've gone to other locations and this one in particular is not very good for one simple reason. They didn't wrap my dogs in bacon!!! That is the main draw to this place aside from the over the top "street dogs" and in order for them to qualify as street dogs they need bacon wrapped around the sausage. my friend and I noticed it when we were almost done with our meal so we couldn't let them know as most of our food had been eaten but Again, kinda of a big deal when your dogs selling point is that their wrapped in bacon. I recently visited Dirt Dog Long Beach and was blown away by the exceptional customer service provided by employee Abigail. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome. Abigail was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations based on my preferences. She took the time to answer all of my questions and even offered to make adjustments to my order to ensure that it was exactly what I wanted. Throughout my visit, Abigail checked in on me regularly to make sure that everything was satisfactory. She was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a positive experience. Overall, I highly recommend Dirt Dog Long Beach for their delicious food and outstanding customer service, especially with Abigail. Dirt Dog is a fantastic spot for anyone craving creative takes on burgers and hot dogs. I tried the DUI Dog, which was an absolute flavor bomb with its combo of carne asada and pastrami--definitely a must-try! The Smash Burger didn't disappoint either, with its juicy patty and perfect seasoning. A bonus: They've got a sweet deal with Drips for desserts, so save some room for a treat after your meal. The location is pretty convenient too. The plaza is spacious with plenty of parking, which is a relief, especially being near the roundabout in Long Beach. Plus, there are lots of other great food options in the plaza, so it's worth exploring the area. Overall, I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. The customer service was on point, making the experience even better. I'll definitely be back! read more

HIDDEN IN LONG BEACH & A MUST! It's such an experience coming to Dirt Dog again and this time I got to try their new line of hot dogs I've been craving! They made TAPATIO inspired hot dogs and elotes that were oh so FUEGO! The elote had the traditional flavors and since it's doused in TAPATIO you can taste the enhanced flavors of the sauce apart from the toppings. The TAPATIO hot dog had chicharones on top and loaded with toppings as well! The pastrami dog had crispy pastrami pieces that complimented with its sauces and share the D.U.I fries cause after this meal you'll be stuffed! My friends and I will definitely be coming back here for sure. It was a feast between all of us and worth coming to! Nope never visit this joint again! Overpriced and not worth the money... Costco is a better deal..... but the most disturbing thing was what was shared when I walked in by someone who discouraged me from going in.... and later looked up: that he supports the a hole in the White House. Why is it that we in the LBC support someone who does not support the community that made him who he is today. I know this post won't stay up long but it is awful to see the pathetic sell out trying to make a profit from the residents of the LBC who are being abused and assaulted by the current administration. Came here for the first time with two friends and WOWOWOW! We got the Tapatio Dog, the Green Dog, the Carne Asada Fries, the Elote Fries, and the Tapatio Elote Corn. Our tummies are SO HAPPY. Definitely get your dogs in the lobster roll, the bread is crisp and perfectly buttered. AND THE GLIZZY, so juicy. The fries were crispy and all the toppings were satisfying. Our favorite was definitely the Carne Asada Fries. Finally, the Tapatio Elote Corn was a STAR and smothered ALL OVER. Loved the heat of the Tapatio on the dog and the corn. Everything was packed with flavor, and we'll definitely be back! read more

I was driving through the LBC when I spotted one of my favorite eateries Dirt Dog so you know I had to pull up for a meal. I'm glad I did the murals on the wall are so dope I was in awe Snoop dogg, Warren G and the whole G-funk family super cool dedication. Then I tried the tapatio dog with chili fries that was a great combo the dog had just the perfect amount of spicy and the chili fries are delicious full of cheese and nice amounts of meat. I had an Aguas frescas pineapple that made my meal so bomb. Good music, unique hot dogs and bad ass hip hop murals this place is a major go! read more

This was my 2nd dirt dog experience! The flavors are unbelievably great and with every bite you feel like you can't stop but you kinda have to lol (just bc of the calorie count). This is probably one of very few hot dog spots that make such good bacon wrapped hot dogs, and not only. The cool and stylish California vibe is for sure an inseparable component of this chain. Same goes for their customer service, very chill and full of energy. I think that's another reason I came back for the 2nd time. read more

Second time coming to this location and it definitely won't be my last. If you're looking for a good hotdog and a nostalgic late 90's, early 2000's playlist this is the right place. Killed my food all while singing along to the lyrics to songs I haven't heard in over a decade. The staff is great; they're attentive pretty good at cleaning up swiftly after customers, and friendly. The manager Johnny is receptive too. I'll for sure be back here. read more

DUI fries have always been my go to, with a side of ranch and a Coca Cola!! The best!! If you're ever feeling lazy or sad.. Or maybe even hung over lol, go with the DUI fries, they will hit the spot read more
