We called Discount Plumbing to clear a slow master shower drain. We had used a different company to clear the shower drain a month earlier but found that the drain was beginning to back up again. I tried contacting the first company to have them come out and clear it again, but they never got back to me. I found Discount Plumbing on Yelp and noted their very good rating by previous customers. I set up my appointment through their website for a Saturday morning. I called them a few days later to see if they could come sooner. Angel was the person I spoke with over the phone to schedule an earlier appointment. He was very courteous and helpful. They had a same day appointment available and were willing to work with me on a specific scheduling time. I was running late for the Wednesday appointment. I called Discount Plumbing to let them know I was on my way. Angel said it was fine and let the technician know I was on the way home. Hector, the technician arrived and was very courteous and listened to the issue we had. He explained to me what the issue might be and gave me the estimate before starting work. The price was expensive but I'm learning that you get what you pay for. Hector honored the $50 discount I saw through their website. Hector began work. He kept his work area clean throughout the process. When he found the cause of the slow drain, (hair buildup) he showed me what he pulled up. He then said he'd go a little deeper to see if he could pull out more hair. Overall, I was very pleased with the prompt and professional service Hector and Angel provided. Hector even took another $50 off the price if I wrote this honest review! Needless to say, I will not hesitate to use Discount Plumbing again for any future plumbing issues! read more

I had a few things that needed to get done over the past few weeks. I called one company for a gas leak going into our home. They came out and quoted me $4,000 to replace & reroute the gas line and wouldn't be back until Monday (3 days). I called Discount Plumbing & Rooter. Their plumber Angle came out and quoted me $945.00, and had it done that day and took the time to explain everything what he did. When he was doing the work, he noticed that we had a sewage leak. He took videos of it and explained what needed to get done. Needless to say, guess who received a call back to repair or leak and we requested Angle to do the job. This young man was phenomenal, quick and thorough. Once we had our gas line repaired, our oven wouldn't. So, I just so, happen to have AHS home warranty. They had a appliance technician come out when I wasn't home. He wasn't more than 5 minutes and a made a on the spot diagnosis that it needed a new lighting unit. Long story short he was way off. He made the claim that this was a plumber/gas technician job. So once again I called on Discount Plumbing and Rooter and ask for Angle once again. Angle did his trouble shooting and spent more time on this oven in one visit then the appliance technician did in two visit. Again Angle what a fantastic person, employee. His professionalism, mannerism, detail to his craft and always working to please his customers. Is something that I haven't experienced in many, many years. .The absolute worst experience I have had with any service provider. I called discount on 5/26/21 for a drain clog in my bathroom. I paid $1500 to have my line hydro jetted and the plumbers who did it seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. Raw sewage was shot up out of my toilet, into my bathtub and my garage floor. One of the plumbers told me the only way that could happen was if there was a crack. My entire home smelled like sewage for the next 90 minutes while the plumber tried to get the sewage to drain from my tube. When he finally did he cleaned up as best he could. Neither of the plumbers ever said if the pipe was cracked or not. I paid the $1500 but called the owner Cody the next day. He got back to me 3 days later. After explaining what happened to him and mentioning that I wanted to pay to have my home cleaned he said he didn't want to lose me as a customer and would reimburse me $500.00. Three weeks have now gone by and I have still not heard from him or received the refund. Now we have noticed what appears to be sewage leaking up through our backyard. I tried to contact the owner again and he has still not replied. I absolutely recommend using another company based on my experience with Discount Plumbing. read more

I'm leaving a review so I remember Discount Plumbing in the future - don't go anywhere else! I asked for a quote on Yelp at 10 PM on Memorial day - and they still got back to me in probably less than 5-10 min. Got an appointment for 8 AM the next day. They emailed and texted a confirmation, sent me a text of who was coming (Harrison to the rescue!), and his exact ETA. For background, we have some old pipes that are constantly having issues. We've had several different plumbers come and try to fix it over the years, always with mixed results. I feel like half the time they try selling us more expensive services (like replacing the mainline, even though our mainline is new and not the issue). Enter Harrison and his friend. They fixed it completely, cleared out all the rust in the pipes, and were the first ones to finally diagnose what the persistent problem was (for some reason we have different sized pipes). No pressure to buy more expensive services, just solid work with integrity. And the prices were very reasonable, no surprises. Great experience overall, couldn't recommend more. Thanks! read more

The night before thanksgiving I noticed my 20+ year old water heater (yes I'm original owner of my house) has a slow leak coming out the bottom and based on amount of water I say it's been leaking for 2days. Next day thanksgiving day I tried calling my go to plumber and said he was busy and so I called discount plumbing and they said Jose can come and take a look that afternoon. Jose is very professional always wearing mask and agreed to replace my water heater the next day for their warehouse was closed on thanksgiving day. Jose came in first thing next morning and went to work replacing my water heater. Mind you he did everything he quoted on the work invoice and always took time answering any questions I may have while I was observing him do his job. He also has great stories when he was serving in the US Army as I am a proud parent, my son is in the USAF who is same age as Jose. Now I have peace of mind and have supported a veteran. I was having a bad day. I had just returned to teaching after 1.5 years of zoom and i had been patient and cheerful all day, I was tired! These guys came through great in a real pinch! I had a kitchen sink disposal break down and start leaking in a tenant's kitchen on a Friday evening. Discount Plumbing responded in an hour, diagnosed the problem, returned the next day, and replaced the disposal in less than an hour... on a Saturday. No extra charge for "emergency"! Last October I had a disastrous plumbing problem that required massive work on a huge amount of drains and I contacted DiscountPlumbing and they did a stunning job and now today in May I just needed a new faucet in my bathroom and I called DiscountPlumbing. They came the same day they fixed it. I would never use anybody except DiscountPlumbing and if you want to have the same people, I have ask for Harrison and Gabriel, but don't go with any other Plumber when you have these plus they're on the list of the 10 best plumbers in the area. Joseph was wonderful, he went above and beyond. When we went out to shut the water off the lock on the cage wouldn't open. He tried everything, he was very patient. He finally got it shut off but the lock was still locked. A neighbor called someone she knew and they were able to cut the lock with a grinder. So Joseph was able to get in the cage to turn the water back on. I think a lot of people would have rescheduled the job but Joseph stuck it out. I really appreciate that. I recently had an emergency in a top floor downtown condo! Discount plumbing jumped on my job extremely fast and worked me into their already busy day. They were super flexible and were able to repair my leak with no additional damage to the condo! I was so impressed with the customer service and on top of it they were extremely reasonable in price. As a matter of fact, they were cheaper than any other company I called. Lastly, they waited around for the building managers to emergency shut off the water with no additional charge and understood how urgent the repair was! I can't recommend them enough.
