Only one DT has wheel alignment in ACL. I booked online and showed for Staff to tell me I have to call in for alignment. I was there so I said I would come back late afternoon. I arrived for my appointment time and they had my vehicle on machine for a half hour or so when the tech came to tell me he does not know how to alignment on a Chevy Tahoe. He went to ask someone else if they did. Another person came to say they don't have the special tool to align a Chevy Tahoe. Sounds like BS just don't want to work after giving me the run around all day long. Find another shop for work and tires. Warning this place is always very very busy. I went a 2 pm on a Wednesday and there were no less than 30 people waiting in line or for their cars to be ready. The staff was helpful and attentive. THe phone was ringing off the hook and it was clear that their day was pretty busy. I got up the front and heard them tell another customer it was going to be about a 3 hour wait. I got up to the front and made an appt for the next day. I was a bit worried that despite the appt it would still take a while. I arrived for my appt and still had to wait a bit in line to get to the front but they immediately took my keys and started working on my flat tire. They said it would be up to 45 minutes. No problem, I knew it would take a while and brought my kindle. immediately, I received a text keeping me up to date on where my car was in the repair cycle. Called about 20 mins after they opened and got the okay too come in to mount and balance to tires and install them. Emmanuel G was my service writer, and I've worked with him in the past to replace my fiancés tires on her Kia souls. I had specific request to be very cautious with my race star drag wheels on the back when removing them and him and the team did just that. The removed those and balance and mounted my new tires on my daily wheels and installed them on my car. Had a bent rim & damaged tire. The car was towed & left overnight at the Ben White location with the key hidden. I was able to make an online appointment for early morning, called them soon after they opened in the A.M. & got an estimate. Paid something like $55 for a new rim, less than $10 for a new tire because the damaged one was under warranty. They alternated between telling me they couldn't/wouldn't and that they would cost $100 more per tire than was advertised on their website. Shady practices going on there. Had a screw in my tire, called to make an appointment. Showed up at my appointment time, checked in and my car was serviced in about 10 minutes. The attendant asked me what I wanted to do if the tire needed to be replaced (use spare or buy new). We discussed price to replace; he was able to immediately quote a price based on what I had. As the owner of three businesses myself, I have a keen eye for proper service but rarely come across the kind the bears note of exceeding expectations. I experienced that today. Finding a flat tire on my car after a work event was stressful but my insurance company sent me a tow truck pronto. However on the way to Discount Tire (only place I go due to their warranty) he took a wrong turn. We were following him in my fiancé's car. We called Discount Tire and sadly said we'd arrive after closing... David decided he could spare his evening to wait for us and get the tire changed. But, even better, a wicked cold front had arrived and when we got there behind the tow truck he met us outside and told us to go in and warm up and he'd get the keys from the tow truck driver, handle all of that, and we could just relax. And the wonder of Discount Tire is their warranty. My expensive tire was replaced free. But get this. The work was done in under ten minutes! I have zero affiliation with this place or anyone in it but I can tell you they have earned a customer who will never stop singing their praises after the way they took care of us tonight. After closing hours!! Everyone was so warm and friendly and helpful when I was so stressed out. It turned my night around. To the point I had to stop and review them. I've been going to this Discount Tire for well over 20 (?) years. Usually good, prompt service and helpful staff. It's gone way downhill in the last few years. Over the top loud music blaring from the bay, poor communication, and staff with unhelpful attitudes. I went in for a tire rotation. I asked how long it would be. "There are 3 people ahead of you. We will call you in about 15 minutes." Great. Then I get a text saying I was first in line. Great. 15 minutes later I get a text saying that I should be on the road in 2 1/2 hours. Huh? The bay was half empty and there were not many cars in the lot. I went back to the desk and asked if the estimate was correct. "Yeah, there are about 8 people ahead of you." Then he rolled his eyes when I wanted my key back. It would have saved everyone some time and frustration to simply tell me there was a 2 1/2 hour wait. It's a shame. I'd recommend making the drive to the Discount Tire in Bastrop. Better management, better staff, better service. 100 percent better experience. read more

The location at No accountability, sloppy service.... I went there to get tires mounted. There were about 8 people before me. I mostly waited outside on a bench. I was watching my tires being worked on, and then I got a text stating my car was ready for pickup. I could see there were still at least 2 tires not even mounted yet, but I went in anyway in anticipation that they would be pulling out my car and then come call my name and hand me my keys. That never happened. I waited 10 minutes and then I noticed my car was nowhere in sight, and I went and asked about it. The "Senior such and such" - no manager on duty this day was handed me ,y key out of the pouch behind him and told me my car was probably parked in the back. So I guess it's up to me to locate and retrieve my car. I walked out back - no car. I went back in and "Senior whatever they like to name themselves guy" told me it was probably across the street or in the adjacent lot. They finally located my car but that's not all. This is not the biggest deal even though it is bumbling idiocy - the reason I am writing this review is because the "senior blahblahblah guy" tried to Gaslight me twice which really pisses me off !! Don't stand there and tell me (TWICE BTW) that they called my name when I walked inside the moment I got the text saying it was ready - and the car was still up in the air with not all the wheels on it yet. Therefore they had NOT pulled it out and there is no way they would have called my name to give me the keys or tell me it is ready. DO NOT BLAME THE CUSTOMER WHEN YOU ARE WRONG!!! OR ELSE YOU WILL GET REVIEWS LIKE THIS. I don't like to argue with people who are trying to gaslight me and tell me something was MY fault in front of a room full of people when it was actually THEIR fault. They were super thorough with helping me look up tires that we're comparable to mine and even ordered some to the store with no extra charge, even if I decided not to get those. When I got to my appointment, it was super packed but they got to me pretty quickly. I waited outside and was updated over text on the progress of my car. They estimated an hr wait but they finished within 40 mins which was nice! I got a text when my car was done and was able to drive away as soon as my car was off the bay. Okay, I came in for one tire. Ended up being upsold for three ($1,200). So get ready for their "chart" sales pitch. They only had tires for the fronts but ordered the one rear. The other rear was put on by them about a year ago so didn't need to replace it. Had to go to Bryan Tx. that afternoon and realized about halfway there that my right front wheel was making a loud screeching nose. Had to go to the Discount Tire location in Bryan to get it repaired. Returned to Austin and got the rear tire put on a couple days later. I left for Corpus Christi the next day and every time I encountered a bump in the road my car would bottom out on the newest tire. I looked at it and saw that it was a bigger size than my old tire and the center portion of my rim was also missing. Ernest said they had lost my rim part but would get a replacement. They would also get the proper tire in and replace that . I always make an appointment and went in today at 1:15. Didn't get checked in until about 1:25 because their lot was full and I had to stand in line again. I waited for an hour and finally went up to get my keys because I had a 3:00 appointment. That was my 5th trip to stand in line in line. They are not getting the part for my rim and I still have the wrong tire. Not sure what I'm doing from here but this has been ridiculous. read more

This is sadly the worst DT location. Besides the assistant Mgr being that the Mgr isn't avail gave me hope. Multiple visits with a warranty for tires not being put on and or repaired properly. They have always been pretty good to me. That been said, I ran through a construction site and had three nails in my tire. I selected the mid price tire for a replacement. I think it came out to about $140 with all the junk fees. I went back to get the newly installed tire, and they couldn't find it. They hunted it down finally in the trunk of someone else's car. No worries. My tip to you, is that just because it's a discount tire, don't think you can't do better it may take a little effort on your part, but you'll save $ in the long run. read more

Ramon was able to get me in the same day a couple hours later. The service took slightly longer than expected but it was no problem. Really happy with this place. PRICE: I knew exactly what tires I wanted, so I called 3 places in town for quotes. Discount Tire was by far the cheapest. I also appreciate that they didn't push any up-sell. Billing was clear and simple. SERVICE: Christian was fantastic. Very sincere, very helpful. Come to think of it, all of the 3 or 4 people I talked to were great. Very professional, but very human. Whoever is managing this place is doing an awesome job. ANY NEGATIVES? Nope. First strike. I brought my car in to get a tire patched. Picked it up 5 hours later and they told me it was fixed with no problems. I didn't notice the tire on my car wasn't the right tire until I got home. Evidently they couldn't patch the tire so they threw on my spare. Lots of wasted time. Second Strike. I took a car in for balancing. When I picked the car up I paid for the balancing with a lifetime warranty. When the guy walked out to the car with me he told me two of the tires were bad and needed to be replaced. Would have been nice to know before they sold me the lifetime warranty. Third Strike. I took the car to a different Discount to replace the front two tires. The mounting stud is stripped and the front rim is bent. How do you not notice a bent rim when you balance a tire? And great job on messing up the threading on the stud. On top of that, we noticed dry rot on the back tires and are having them replaced as well. So instead of the two new tires the Ben White store recommended at first, we need four new tires, a stud repair, and new rims. I've been a Discount Tire customer for years. Pretty much since I got my license in 1993. The level of service at this Discount is just not up to par. I'm recommending driving an extra 2 miles to hit the Discount off of 35 and Nelms. These guys are not nearly as busy as the Ben White store, and so far they seem to pay a lot more attention to what they are doing. They had our first 2 new tires on in less than an hour. One more thing, the Ben White Discount assistant manager did offer to refund our $$ for the original balancing/warranties. I'm still planning on avoiding this store because it appears that they are too busy for their own good, but I appreciate the customer service. read more
