My first experience here was great but I have since been a regular customer here and was finally able to see through the BS. I honestly only want to give this place 1 star but customer service here is usually good. The problem with this place is that they will make you believe you need new tires no matter what you go there for. As luck had it, we have had four flat tires over a course of 4-5 months. Discount tires advertise plugging tires for free which is why I originally chose this place. Now my question is why they have literally refused to plug a tire for me each time I went to see them? The first two times I believed them because granted I'm not a car wiz or anything. The third time I asked a different car shop if the tire would be pluggable and was told yes, so I went to discount tire who told me the exact opposite and once again tried to sell me a new tire for the third time since my first visit. Not knowing any better I agreed again - since they offer you a "special deal". But nooo, what they do is they make you believe you need a new tire no matter how good or bad your tire is. We had another flat tire a few days ago and for one, our appointment was at 315 and I did not get seen until 4 o'clock. Then this guy tries to tell us again that we probably just need a new tire. Are you friggin kidding me?? So next this guy moves on to ask if he can do a quick check on our other tires. We say "no we're actually in a hurry and just need this one tire fixed". Dude responds, "oh no worries, it'll only take a couple of minutes" Did I not just say no?! And I have I not been waiting for the last 45 minutes to get seen? Next, this guy gives us a 15-minute presentation on tire safety that we did not ask for. When it finally comes to getting our tire fixed this guy literally tried to have another 15 minute discussion on why we should just buy a new tire - keep in mind this tire was BRAND NEW and we bought it as DISCOUNT TIRE! All I can say is, be careful when you go here and maybe consider getting a second opinion from a different tire shop. From my experience, it appears that they will try to sell you new tires whether you need them or not. I wonder if they work on commission because it's actually pretty ridiculous. read more

They are seriously ALL always a pleasure to work with, they act like they actually like their jobs, crazy right!? Today I went in on my lunch break for some new tires and was hoping to catch a break with the family discount. They didn't let me down, I'm also military so it's always great to see more company's offering military discounts as Discount does. As I sat and waited it was crazy to see these guys hauling ass in the shop. I'm not sure if they have a certain number of cars they try to turn a day. I shopped for tires for my 2008 BMW for weeks and found the ones I wanted at a very good price. They were special order Continentals. I called Discount and asked them to match the price and they ordered them in for me. I actually paid them 25.00 more because they were so accommodating. Fantastic experience! I worked with Brian and Oliver through my entire process and they were nothing short of professional and respectful. I had to install new custom wheels with new wider tires on my BMW M4 so I had been working with them over two months to get sizing information, quotes, and asking questions. They worked fast and followed all of my requests to use different lugs nuts, remove my spacers, and use black wheel weights. They were very attentive, making sure to handle my new wheels carefully and not damage and parts of my car. It was reassuring to know they were also car enthusiasts and understood my concerns. AJ provided phenomenal customer service and explained they had many cars in line ahead of me however, he would do his best to see that my tire was repaired. Ive used this location 3 times now. The first time, I ordered tires/wheels for my freshly lowered PT Cruiser (don't laugh, it was a manual with the H.O. turbo) and while it was pretty straightforward, I got a great price and fast service. They honored the discount thru my work, no questions asked also. The second time, I ordered wheels and tires for my '05 Dodge Ram. Tires were no problem, but wheels...that was another matter. The factories were ugly looking full chrome 20's...not my thing in any way. My truck is a Rumble Bee, which is basically a shortie Ram with some hints of muscle car style...you have to go old school with something like this. Turns out, coke bottle mags that will fit the large 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern aren't easy to come by. When you CAN find them, youre talking 20" or more...and I wanted 17's. Well it turns out American Racing does make a Torq Thrust D in 17x8 and it has the depth and lip that perfectly mimic the old style wheels youd find on a '68 Charger or a hot rod Deuce coupe, etc. But I couldn't find a decent fitment chart on ARE's website. So I paid a visit to America's Tire. I told the rep what I was up against, and he called American Racing to get a rep on and confirm that the wheels I wanted would fit my truck. So I said 'order em' and I picked out my tires. I had cash ready to go, but he told me about a few rebates that totaled over $300 if I got a store credit card. And it was 12 months same as cash. Score! 2 1/2 years later and I couldn't be happier with the way my rig looks. It turns heads all the time, since its the only 3rd gen Ram Ive seen rocking old school mag wheels. And my 3rd experience was just yesterday. My daily beater car had a tire going low. I aired it up in the garage but then I heard the gurgling from the wet tire and I knew Id picked up some road trash. Sure enough, a decking screw was in my left rear. So I went over to Americas Tire to have them patch it. Ive had this car just a few months and haven't put tires on it, so I was expecting to pay the $20-$25 to fix the tire and be on my way. 'No charge' was my total. I thanked the tech, told him that Ive bought 2 sets of wheels/tires here before and when I need another this is where Ill come. An awesome staff, and an awesome company. Most of the guys seem to be real gearheads too which speaks well to their passion. read more

A free repairing trip ends up big bill. When I called them for my a year old car's tire having a coming and going low pressure indication. I was told they repair it free and it is just two blocks away from where I live. Right after I stepped in the store, the story has changed. They can't fix it and has to be replaced. Never believe free. I would like to have Les Swab to have a look before making a decision or simply go back to Toyota dealer. I was told they will do it for $50. When I was hesitating for it, they added another $42 for three additional tire certifications for life time warranty for any damage of free repairing and replacement. This was something they have trying to sell me right after I stepped into the store. I thought this must be too good to be true and rejected repeatedly and told them it has to be a decision made by my husband. Anyway they put it on my bill with the warranty police printed on back of the receipt. I told them, I am not going to pay it unless my husband wants them . So I only paid $25 deposit for a new tire and leaved tire in the store, it will let they can order a new tire from Goodyear. It turns out that the warranty certification policy is a limited one for only three year or tire ware out to 3/8 and will not cover any accidents etc, etc ,etc. What is covered by their warrant is already covered by my new car manufacture warranty. Their warranty will not benefit us much and also are too expensive. We usually don't get that much tire repairing or replacement within three years. When my husband later came in and asked them to take the certification charges out off our bill, the service personal told us that the deal I got e based on sells of those certifications, otherwise the cost of our replace tire will be $275. I told him no. The fact is that I was going to Les Swab instead of let him work on my tire and I have never agreed to buy those certifications. I asked them take four certifications out off our bill or we will leave. Finally they agree us to take four certifications out our bill but without telling us we have been charged another item of $7.50 on the bill for reinstall pressure sensor back to tire. I don't know if I really get a tire replacement or not. I don't feel this tire replacement is necessary for a new tire on a new car. I brought our car to Costco last night for look. We was told it can be fixed but Costco does no fix outside tires. I totally lost trust on American tires. I am afraid I can't recommend it to any one. read more

I'd like to give a good review based on previous visits but today I'm annoyed because the first guy who checked the tires, Art, said 3 tires measured good and recommended one be replaced. So no problem, replace the bad one. After being here almost 2 hrs, Jose comes in to tell me that a second tire is completely bald on the inside and needs to be replaced too. Now I'm not mad at Jose, I'm super annoyed that Art didn't do a good job in the first place when he went out to check. If the other tire was completely bald why couldn't Art see that when he checked it? Wasting my time... I will most likely return in the future because these guys have usually been great, but I'm gonna look like a jerk next time I come in when I ask the employee to go out and measure all the tires twice so that this situation doesn't happen again. I will mention that all employees were very friendly. read more

Need to make everyone aware of a VERY nice gesture that was bestowed on me this weekend. My car recently got slow leak that turned into a faster leak due to this weather. Took it to Les Schaub tire center and they put it up their high on their jacks and showed me that the hole was on the sidewall and could not be fixed. Also showed me that the other rear tire was showing metal from wear. I didn't have the money to get those low profile tires replaced but I did have all the original tires I was given when I bought the car. Les Schaub told me they could put them on and would have to cut off my locking nuts because I was not given a key for them at purchase time (I didn't even know I had them because of a faceplate over the originals was covering them). Les Schaub also told me it would be at least 30 bucks to cut off those lock nuts. The next day (this past Saturday) I got to thinking about the cost I was about to endure and then I thought about Americas tire company. I called them and explained the situation and what needed to be done and they told me they would do it at only 5$ per lug and replace all my tires with my original for free! When I got there they asked me if I have the monitoring system for the air and yes I do. Told me those would all need to be replaced and my total will be 154.00$. Thats way lower than buying 2 new low profile tires and having them mounted. I authorized it and cringed because it's Christmas time and I don't have hardly any money let alone extra money. After about 4 hours the work had been done and they called me to come get it. They told me upon inspection that 2 of the tires monitoring stem valves we not able to be replaced and they had to just stop the job. They waved fee's and the car did get the original tires/rims back on it and the total was to be 34.00$ I ran my card and it got denied. I told him i'd have to call my credit card company to straighten it out (I had just paid the minimum that same day). He looked at me and said "forget about it"...Happy Holidays and offered me a handshake. I graciously accepted his handshake and told him THANK YOU! All he asked in return is to come back when I had future tire needs. AMERICA'S TIRE COMPANY ROCKS!!! If you have one in your town please go there and patronize it. I knew they where nice there but that was way over the top for what they did. read more

This place is great. I've shopped around for tire prices in the area and online and have ended up here for both of my vehicles when replacing all 4 tires. They often have cash back promo's that are hard to beat. If your an Intel employee, you can use your vault card for a discount also, which can't be combined with the other promos but you win either way. Also, you should always buy the extended warranty for the extra $50 (covers all 4 tires). It's a no brainier to me. They repair and/or replace the tire for free for the life of the tire. I got to use this for the first time yesterday, unfortunately (flat in the middle of the night). It was nice to know that I all I had to do was show up and wait and not be out any $$$. Also the online reservation system is great, I wish more businesses would be this smart, especially since it's 2012, almost everyone has the internet and a smart phone. I was able to make my reservation as soon as I changed my flat the night before, knowing I could get in early the next morning w/o issue. Big plus. The staff is polite and will explain things to you in terms that are easy to understand. They are fairly fast and efficient and are understanding that you don't want to hang out with them all day to wait on your car. The waiting room was free WiFi, a good section of zines and a better than average coffee machine. read more

I needed tires for my Chevy Suburban. I called here to get a quote. I got a quote I was happy with so was getting ready to drive down there to buy the tires. Before I got out the door the manager called me back and apologized since it turns out, they didn't have those tires in stock. He offered me 2 options: wait 3 days until those exact tires came in to the store, or he would give me a better tire for the exact same price. These alternate tires were $40 more per tire. I have been buying my tires from them for years and have always had amazing service and quality. I recently bought a used car and "being a girl" didn't realize the tires were completely bald. One tire kept going flat every week. So on Valentine's day I went in with my sob story. I have no $ because I just put a huge down payment on the car and the tire was too bald to fix. So Cody went to the back to search and told me he found 4 used tires that would fit my car. He gave them to me free of charge...just on the promise I would come back when I finally got the $$ for my tires. He didn't even charge me to put them on. Came in suspicious due to other mechanics screwing me over (looking at you Kendall Toyota) and left very happy. Bryce was very patient and professional with me, and that says something because I'm have a tendency to lack patience and get emotional. I cried over my flat tire and donut yesterday. My tires are so crappy. Even the normal ones they put on at the dealership. Incredibly narrow. Feels unsafe. Wears out extremely quickly. Got a blow out a week after I bought in, got that fixed and then got a flat in another tire! Got that fixed and you guessed it...another slow leak. All same tire types done at the same dealership. 167$ per tire. What a joke. I'm moving to Colorado at the end of the month and will be changing all my tires and upgrading them at a Discount Tires there. Thanks for being so nice to me and working with me.
