Received a call the following Wednesday From Don stating that the order had arrived and would I like to make an appointment for install. They had an opening that afternoon. Took my vehicle in to have these new rims and tires installed and watching the Service Techs work was like watching a well oiled machine work. Made an appointment to swap summer tires for winters. A little busy, but prioritized my car when a spot opened up. They estimated an hour - took less than that. Wrapped the summer tires up, loaded them in the car, torqued the lug nuts appropriately for the new wheels. I asked them to balance and mount a set of tires but there's not one wheel weight on any of the 4, so idk if they balanced them or if they were just magically perfect...truck doesn't shake too bad at 50mph. My experience here was a mess. I would have given them a 1 star rating but Josh and Austin were apologetic for what happened. On Tuesday Oct 25th I called this store to set up a appt to get new tires. I knew they did not have the tires in stock from when I called to get a quote. I asked him to order me 2 tires and that I would like to come in on Sat Oct 29th to the new tires put on. The person I spoke to seemed really confused and told me I am sorry we don't have these in stock and will get them on Thrusday Oct 27th. I repeated that I wanted an appt for Saturday which was days after the tires came in. He finalize realized what I meant and asked me a time and set up the appt... OR SO WE THOUGHT. I sent my wife in after work on Saturday Oct 29th to get the tires put on her car. Erick is the person who greeted and helped her. First off they never ordered the tires and they didn't have a appt for her. This was extremely annoying since we had her get off work early to come get tires to find out they were not even here. While Erick helped set up a appt and get the tires order he also gave off a weird vibe. My wife was frustrated about everything and was not holding a conversation with him. At one point he asked her " Can I ask you did you just wake up" It was a odd question but her response was " No I just got off work and had to rush her to get tires which are clearly not here" His response to this was a something I would never say to a customer " Oh I see your brain is shut down"... Ummm what the hell does that mean? Either way my wife was very uncomfortable around him and I do not blame her. He told her the tires would be in on Tuesday Nov 1st and they would call once they were in to make a appt. Yesterday they called her to make the appt. Luckily she was getting off early that day so she was able to get a appt made for 4pm. When she walked in a gentleman name Josh helped her. He was nice and said sorry for the mishap the last time. He check her tires with her and explained that she really need 4 tires and not 2. We ended up buying all 4 tires. When he rang her up for the other two he gave her $30 off for the mix up last time. Her car was put in the bay quickly and with in 20 minutes of showing up she was out the door. When she got home though (20 minutes later) she received a phone call.. They forgot to put the other 2 tires on.. at this point it was 5 pm and it was going to take 20 minutes to get back up there. I meet my wife there to make sure that this time EVERYTHING was done right seeing as this was our 3rd time there just to get new tires. Austinhelped us this time who is a assistant manager there. He explained again how sorry he was and gave us another discount. After another 20 minutes the back two tires were put on and we were done FINALLY. While Austin and Josh were kind and helpful this was just to many issue. We will never come back here. read more

OK, this is my first non-food related review. I was only going to keep food related posts, otherwise, it could go on and on forever. But I really felt the need to write about America's Tire Co. because of their outstanding service, prices, and price matching policy. My car arrived from Hawaii in mid-December but it was stuck at a dock in Seattle because of the severe weather. I finally got to picking her up the second week of January after a couple of failed attempts. During that time, the roads were really bad with snow, black ice, rain, and whatever else Hawaii doesn't have. I was basically sliding all over the place and losing traction because my car was on UHP (ultra high performance) summer tires. They were sticky tires made strictly for performance on dry pavement so you could imagine the difficulties I was having here in Oregon. I did some research online for all-season tires. I got the prices and headed over to America's Tire because it was the closest tire shop to where I live. I talked with the guy and he quoted me a price which was about $20 more per tire than the online pricing. I told him about the price difference and he matched it and I didn't have to pay for shipping. Three days later, my tires arrived and I got a call to have them slapped on. When everything was done, he told me I could come back anytime for air, tire rotations, flats, etc., all free of charge. Now that's customer service! America's Tire provides wonderful service and offer the best prices in town. The guys are very friendly, knowledgeable, and will go out of their way to help you out. I definitely will be buying my next set of tires from these guys. read more

The very first time I needed tires for my car, I researched the internet and figured out what kind of tires I wanted and how much they are. Then I realized that while prices are way cheaper, you still need to get it shipped (and where? those are bulky things), and you need to find a local shop that will mount the tires for you. They usually charge a lot if you didn't buy the tires from them. Armed with this information, I decided to call America's Tire. I told them the best price I found and while they couldn't match the price exactly, the final price of the tires mounted on my car ended up being cheaper. They did try to sell me the tire insurance, but not too hard. I was out of there in less than an hour. A year later, I noticed a bulge on the sidewall of one of my tires. Even though I didn't buy the tire insurance, he was able to get me some credit towards a replacement tire, which was more than I was expecting. You also get free lifetime balance and rotation and air check/fill. Just drop by and say you want it done, and they'll do it. It might be a good idea to call and make an appointment for the balance/rotation, then you have first priority and don't have to wait as long. Great experience so far, I wouldn't hesitate in buying tires from them again. read more

3 stars for the quality of work. 1.5 stars for their business integrity. **go to Walmart of Costco for an honest and straightforward tire service. -beware of the nice smiles and pleasantries and the glossy lobby. it doesn't matter how friendly they are or how big a corp Discount Tire is. know your car and know your tires before you come in (tire size, cost). this place reminds me of shady used car dealerships and corner repair shops. -I sat there and listened to their staff upsell unwitting customer after unwitting customer. I heard "we have to order special tires because Nissan's have weird tire sizes." 14" tires on a common economy car should not cost $140 each. if they spit out some arbitrary "company policy" on why they can't offer you a more economical option, demand a manager come verify that statement. -do not get the 'sipes' that they offer to cut into your tire treads for 'extra rain channeling'. putting 2 inch slices into your tire tread would drastically compromise the integrity of the tire, both structurally and longevity wise. and also voids the manufacturers warranty. and it also costs extra for Discount Tire to provide this "service" -I would advise going to Costco and paying the higher tire prices to avoid getting gouged here for unnecessary add-ons and tire protection plans (FYI they are prorated, and they have a laundry list of disqualifications) -if they try to upsell you and you are feeling pressured, let them know you are willing to take your business elsewhere until they give in to the fair price. -I'm trying a different place for my next set. customers should not be treated like suckers who don't know any better. (I know my tires and know what's what) I spent a good fifteen minutes turning down tack-on after tack-on for my tires, and overheard about an hour's worth of their questionable business conduct. read more

This place had the cheapest price for my tires and some impeccable service. I arrived at 1pm for my appointment and by 1:30pm I was out of there. The people here are super responsive. If you're not sure what to do or where to go, one of the employees will ask you if you need assistance, and are really nice. As a note to everybody who's shopping for tires, ask if they have any discounts or rebates going on-- sometimes they don't advertise this well. I ended up getting $100 off my set of tires this way. Long story short, the service here is streamlined and amazing-- so much better than the other chain tire stores. These guys are always nice. They are super friendly, helpful, and have always been honest with us. They don't push up sells and they always tell you all the details. I heavily research prices and equipment (I am an information junkie and my OCD keeps me digging for details) and their prices here are always near the best and when they are not the cheapest they are within dollars of the best. The customer service had been outstanding. I have had at least 6 sets of tires and two sets of wheels done here since 2012 and have never been disappointed. They even helped me through a challenging situation with an unusual vehicle that has really odd wheel and tire requirements - and went above and beyond. WIth only 6,000 miles on the rig, I wasn't happy when the dealer quoted me 300 bucks for a new tire. I read the reviews and decided to check out America's Tires. These are honest guys with a good reputation. I was informed that our car would likely need a new tire, but they decided to take the whole thing off and have a look. I was quoted half the price of the dealership, but a few minutes later they informed me that they would be able to patch the tire for free instead of replacing it. How many other tire stores let you shop on-line, check fit and inventory, get a total confirmed price and make an appointment to have them installed? NONE! I've been doing business here for several years and they never fail to impress me for service, selection and price. They have both name brands and budget tires as well. This is all in addition to the amazing customer service which includes large helpings of courtesy and respect. How long it takes depends on how many customers they have at the moment, but I've been in and out with a set of new tires in as little as 35 minutes. They don't have popcorn like you-know-who, but do offer complementary coffee and bottled water, and the rest rooms are spacious and clean. I would like to see them add free WiFi. The next time you are there, watch these guys in action. They have obviously have had some customer skills training. It shows in the way they express genuine concern and work hard to take care of not only your tire needs, but put you at ease in the process. Everyone gets greeted and treated with respect. I actually look forward to going there! Once last word - get the certificates. This is their little added warranty that provides for no-haggle repair and replacement of your tires in the event of damage or failure. Not to sound like a total girl or an idiot, but I leave tire selection as well as all things automotive to the BF, since he knows a crapload about cars (and I do not), works in the industry (and I do not) and has previous experience working for a tire store (and again, I do not.) He called around, priced out suitable tires for my Jeep, and then presented me with options. Hands down, America's Tire had the best prices compared to comparable tires elsewhere. Been waking up to low tire pressure warning on the front driver side tire of my car the last couple days. I knew it had to be a nail or screw somewhere but I couldn't spot it with my own eyes. I was just adding extra air to get by at first but finally got a chance to bring it down to Discount Tire today for an inspection/repair. I explained my situation to the friendly staff and they took down some of my info and told me it would be about an hour wait. I went to have lunch and within 45mins I received a call and text that my vehicle was ready. At pickup they explained to me that a nail was found in the thread area of the tire and it was in a safe spot for a repair. The tire was patched, refilled with air and I was on my way. I honestly thought I would of had to spend $20 or so for the service but was surprised to see it was free of charge. I have been a client of Discount Tires for roughly 15 years. I buy all my tires and rims from them and I was amazed with the customer service I received from AJ. I purchased some KMC rims from them 13 months ago. While washing my rims the other day I noticed the silver finish on the bolt pattern and the KMC insignia had come off completely. The three other rims look perfect! I called and spoke to AJ and sent him images of my rims. He took a look at the images and called the manufacturer and they informed AJ that the finish warranty is good for 12 months and that there was nothing they could do. AJ went back to management and told him the situation. He called me back and said Discount Tires would take care of me even if the manufacturer wouldn't! He said he already ordered the rim and it is on it's way. Now that is the way you take care of clients! I will be picking up my new rim along with a set of 35" tires as well. Found a nail stuck in the passenger side rear tire. It was causing the pressure to drop 5 psi a day and the TPS warning light to come on. Made an on line appointment for 9:15AM Tuesday at the Hillsboro Discount Tire store. Got there on time, checked in, explained my problem, drove into a bay. The men and woman working there were friendly, knowledgeable , and efficient . They dismounted the tire, removed the rim, repaired the puncture , replaced the valve, reinstalled the rim, spin balanced the tire, and remounted it in 40 minutes. I was absolutely shocked when I asked how to pay for the repair and they said no charge to repair flat tires !! I gave them $ 10 for their coffee mess. I went in and purchased new tires and paid extra to have my tire sensors fixed or whatever they're supposed to do for the extra money spent. They gave me some deal that I would get a gift card which all sounded great. 3 months later my sensor on the passenger side started going off. I went back to them and let them know what is going on and they said it's the battery and that I need to pay $75 to have it fixed. I advised that they should have already fixed this the first time. They said it was and that I need to pay to have it fixed. I had a negative comment when they sent me an email to do so. Then a manager all of a sudden asks me to bring my car in and they would take of care of it. hmmmmmmm It should have been fixed the first time and now they want me to take more time to have fix it.
