ok my car to discount tire on Colorado Blvd to get a hole repaired. When I got there I was checked in and asked to move my car into a parking spot in the lot. I did so, walked in and gave them my keys. When I got back I was told my tire couldn't be repaired because the rim was bent, we looked at prices of new rims, cost for installation and then they gave me my keys and I got in my car. As I'm about to start the car a woman comes and knocks on my window and accuses me of hitting her car, honestly I told her to fuck off and she said "look at your bumper you have a scratch too" I got out and looked and low and behold, there's a big ass scratch on the front of my car. I went back in and apologized to the woman and then told the front desk that I thought someone hit her car with my car, I was told that I HIT HER CAR. Me. I did it. And that one of the teenagers working there saw me do it. Keep in mind, nobody said anything to me about this at any point, when I came in, when I pulled into the space, when I left- nothing. But now that I'm bringing it up, supposedly there were witnesses. The man at the desk said he saw me pull in but couldn't see the front of my car. But didn't *think* I hit anything. I told them to pull the cameras, they don't have any. They said "we have pictures before we took it into the bay" but the pics are on the phone of the person who moved it, 2 mins before it was checked into the bay. So obviously this person hit the car backing out, and just took pictures before checking it in. I spoke with someone else who was at this location 2 weeks earlier and they did not take photos of their car, so why are they taking photos of my car 30 minutes after they "saw" me hit someone, before they put it in the bay if this is not a regular practice. They gaslit me, refused to file a damage claim, and then told me to leave without ANY SOLUTION or remedy. Honestly had they just taken accountability I would've gone about my day and not made a big fuss about it, but the fact that they tried to gaslight me and take advantage of me because they wanted to avoid accountability. I DRIVE 26FT BOX TRUCKS FOR A LIVING EVERY DAY. I would have FELT my car scratch another vehicle. Like I am NOT stupid. This is my job, if this woman had filed a hit and run case on me, because these people claim I hit her car, I would've gotten in legal trouble and it would affect my ability to do my job. This is serious. I would've taken accountability for the situation but I'm not going to be bullied into thinking it was me when I KNOW I did not hit that car. The poor woman who was driving the other car obviously believed me, and kept apologizing but I am livid, I still have a hole in my tire, and now I am having to file a police report and complain to corporate to try to get it fixed. Don't go to Discount Tire on Colorado blvd unless you want them to fuck up your car and try to gaslight you into thinking it was you. I can't believe these men really thought they were going to bully me into believing I did something I did not do. read more

Excellent Hospitality and service. I just moved to Colorado over summer and with cold weather today noticed sensors appeared low tire pressure. I drove over and walked inside where I was instantly greeted by friendly employees who said park over by white suv which I said was mine. I went back to my car and another guy quickly showed up and was very helpful. I tipped him $10 and asked if they could help me with snow tires if I come back. I must say this location had much better customer service than majority of places I would visit over year living in Houston. I think this is my new favorite location. I got new tires installed from this discount tire and it was the biggest shit show I've ever had to deal with my car. They screwed up my tire pressure monitors and my stereo head unit. They kept resetting the tire pressure system and it kept not working. Whatever they did fried my audio system as it stopped working directly after the service and never worked again. I filed a claim with them and they filed it as disputed which there was no way for me to prove they caused it but definitely was. They were just trying to protect their interest but a 1200 dollar tire install became a 5200$ tire install with my new stereo head unit and all the labor involved. They screwed me so damn hard that I wanted to return my tires but that would mean having to go back for a 5th time. I will never go to another discount tire. Also while I was there a technician hit a woman's brand new bmw and laughed at her for being frustrated because they had no cameras to reveal the truth. Jose, Phil and all the people who work here are cheap scumbugs exactly what you would expect when dealing with car guys. You guys know damn well I tried to fix this on my own and went for a month without audio trying not to make you guys pay if I could fix it. I called this morning to ask about the wait time and I was given an approximate time of an hour and a half. When I got here (less than 30 minutes after my call), they said it would be about an hour before they could get me in, which was fine. I came back only to have them tell me "you have two cars ahead of you, 15 minutes to 1/2 hour. I have watched them take FOUR cars ahead of me in an hour's time. I have been sitting here for over THREE HOURS waiting my turn. When I went in to inquire about my wait, I was told "you're at the top, two more ahead of you." I explained how long I have been waiting and his response? "Let me make sure they know you're here." WHAT??? Car finally went in, was told it would be about 15 minutes but was ACTUALLY 45. It took FOUR HOURS when I was initially told and hour and a half. Definitely make an appointment for this place, otherwise your entire day will be wasted. read more

This location far exceeds what I was expecting. Due to my own negligence I did not have the proper lugs for my new wheels. I had to come back once I obtained them. They took care of my car right at my appointment time and all went smooth. Then I needed to come back a few days later as one of my tires was not holding air. They got my car in immediately and the biggest kicker was they 2 of them remembered me by name. First and Last! It was very impressive. I scheduled a tire rotation at the University Hills Discount Tire store on Colorado Blvd. Part of the service agreement with tire purchase is free rotations, spin balance and air check. My 2:30 appointment didn't get started until about 3:00 and the work area was chaos. Employees were "horsing around." My car was out within 15 minutes which seemed way too fast. As I drove home and my tires warmed up, the dash reported 42 lbs in the front tires and 35 in the back. This was opposite of what pressures should have been and I knew they didn't check the pressures after the rotation. This was the second time this has occurred at this location. I also doubt that the spin balance occurred because it was in and out so fast. If you don't check tire pressure why would you spin balance? Why would you torque the lug nuts either? I will no longer take my vehicle to this location due to safety concerns. read more

Called, made an appointment for the next day, they were quick and efficient, found the issue which was a screw through my tire, and ended up patching and plugging my tire for free. Yes....for free. Got winter blizzak tires from them 2 weeks ago and it was a surprisingly easy experience. Their prices were comparable with Costco's too. They're definitely really busy this time of year so the wait times can be a bit lengthy at time, but I know they have some kind of call ahead program that I didn't bother to look into so that may have been my fault. read more

This Discount Tire either has incompetent or unethical employees. After taking my car to the BMW dealership, I was informed that one of my tires had a flat. The tire is brand new, less than 2 months of use-BMW said that it was likely caused because it was unbeaded. So naturally, I took my car back and took the flat tire to the Discount Tire on Colorado. After 2 hours, they said that the tire was irreplaceable and required a brand new one. They quoted me at $200. I took my tire and rim to Walmart and they quickly fixed it later that day. Included is the invoice, stating the services performed at Walmart. Walmart charged me $10. Needless to say, I will NEVER go to Discount Tire again. I had used Discount Tire in Virginia where I live and had good experience. My daughter is in college in Denver and developed a slow leak in a tire so I made an appointment for her here. They told her it wasnt the tire leaking but the wheel needed replacing so they sold a ridiculous looking and expensive wheel that didnt look appropriate on the car at all and then told her it actually she needed 4 new tires as well. I had just put four new tires on the car six months earlier and new that was highly unlikely so told her to decline the tires. I asked them to be sure to put the wheel they replaced in the back of the car so I could see it, well they kept the alloy wheel and when I called them about it they told me it had been disposed of already. I had my daughter take the car to the dealer and they confirmed none of the tires needed replacing and had to pay over $1,000 for a new alloy wheel. Even if the old one was in fact damaged they can often be reworked but they didnt give it back to us as requested. I feel that my daughter was taken advantage of by this establishment, and I have now stopped using them in Virginia as well. read more

Did a mental coin toss and went to the 2446 S Colorado store instead of the Evans one (which I'd been to before, wanted to spread the biz love.) The person who assisted me there was courteous and helpful -- but also told me his store had "30 cars" ahead of me, and that I could have my vehicle back by 9pm that evening. I frowned lightly and said I was going to call the Evans store to see their customer load there. The salesperson said it was likely going to be the same except maybe less people in line because "it's a smaller store". I called. *1 person ahead of me* (it ended up being 3-4 by the time I got there, but still). I let the salesperson know and he was stunned to hear it was that low. I guess I shouldn't 2nd guess myself; go to the outlet I've had consistently good service at. I'm sure they do perfectly serviceable work here, but if the Evans store consistently has patrons in the single digits ahead of me and the S Colorado location has patrons in the double digits...well, my time's worth something. So grateful for Discount Tire on Colorado. My tire was punctured with a massive screw AND a nail on my morning commute. When I got to the shop, they were PACKED. However, the team got me personally in and out within 20 minutes (had to leave my car for a full inspection), and they said they'd call me by the late afternoon. I got the call at 1:00p and when I picked up my car with a fully repaired tire (saving me anywhere from $500-1000), they handed me a bill for $0.00. Huge thank you to the Colorado Blvd team. This place is the absolute worst. I had a flat earlier this week, and took my car into this location about 20 min before they closed. It's right by my house, and was the only place open. I walked the gentleman out to my car to look at the tire, and I knew immediately that he was full of it and wanted to take advantage of me. Yes I'm a woman. I couldn't stand how disingenuous he was, and I should've just left then. Keep in mind this is a brand new car!! I waited in their lobby for 30 min, and he came back over and started to tell me that the tire ring (what?!) needed to be replaced and it was unsafe..blah blah blah. He was about to try and sell me 4 new tires for one simple flat!! I stopped him, and told him I'd be getting a second opinion. I took my car into a local, family owned shop the next morning that's been in business for 40+ years. They inspected the tire and rim, removed the screw, patched it and I was on my way for $20. I've always had pretty pleasant experience at Discount Tire, and my most recent was no different. A couple weeks back, I had a flat, so I drove the car over to Discount where they repaired it free of charge (there had been a nail stuck in the tire). Later that SAME DAY, I had another flat, different tire. Well, the tires were very old, so I bit the bullet and just replaced all four. Discount was able to recommend a relatively low cost, decent tire since I'll only have the car for another few months. The new tires were on the car and I was headed out of the lot in less than an hour. One star off because I asked them to identify the problem in the second tire (two different flats in one day? I definitely wanted to know what was going on there, and my garage is free of nails/screws) and they neglected to do so. read more

It's a bit unbelievable how bad they are at processing people that are waiting in line. I called and paid for my tires over the phone at the suggestion of the person I spoke with telling me It would save substantial time when I dropped off the vehicle later in the afternoon. I then arrived only to be told to wait in line like everyone else - 25 minutes - just to hand them my keys. And don't try to call - it's a miracle to even get someone on the phone. The nightmare continues - I waited in line for 45 mins just to drop my car off to get a flat tire fix. The costumer reps would just randomly saunter off with costumers for 10-15 minutes. There were literally 20 ppl waiting the whole time I was in there. Here's a thought why not keep one person on the register all day who only does new sales. The costumer service reps were extremely rude. Five or six ppl asked hey I have a noon appointment like I shouldn't have to wait an hour. And they were just like hold on we will be right with you. Like we all have nothing better to do than stand around in a discount tire all day. Are you kidding me? One employee had. The audacity to say this was the least busiest day in weeks. Obviously you have a serious problem if every single time I go in the line is an hour long. Hire more people, have designated employees to work the register. It's not rocket science . You can get tires anywhere I would never ever buy tires from these cable company esque arrogant asshats again. This happens at literally every location. I have called four locations every day for two weeks. The phone lines are busy for hours at a time. I have left my phone on speaker on call while at work. The online appointments are a joke they are booked solid three weeks out and guess what if you have an appointment you will still have to wait for an hour. I had a flat tire today. I shouldn't have to wait in line for an hour. Never receive a call about completion and then they moved my car a block away.... A block away?! This is denver you just moved my car to a location without my consent and thought it would be fine to just leave it there? Are you gonna pay if my car was Broken into. It's surprising to see so many good reviews. I ordered 4 new tires and set an appointment. Showed up and had to wait behind 10 people who were walk-ins. Decided to leave my car for the day as I live within walking distance. Returned to pick up the car for it to be sitting in the parking lot with a flat tire?!? Apparently everyone was too busy to realize a car they just put tires on wasn't correct. They resealed the rim and all was fine until the next morning I wake up to a second flat tire. Returned my car and was told they put the wrong valve stem?? You have one job how is it possible that you put the wrong stem on?!? On top of the two flats it would have been nice if you would have cleaned all the lube you left on my rims! I will never use you again!
