Well-it would be one star but they fixed the problem. I got new tires in 2020. Took my jeep to the dealership in October for normal maintenance work-picked up my jeep and it was doing this weird 90 turn on the steering wheel-it was strong and I couldn't control it. Jeep spent of $2500 trying to fix my car and they had it for 4 months. Turns out discount tire had put 3 tires of the correct size and 1 incorrect-so when jeep rotated that tire to the front-the four wheel driver sensor was trying to engage but it couldn't. I've always had great service. They explain what they're recommending or what the issue is very well. They are polite and go above and beyond to provide the best service. One guy even searched online for a spacer that I needed for my Jeep. They don't sell spacers so he didn't even have to do that. He went out of him way for me. That's great service!! Be sure to drop off your vehicle if you don't want to wait for a while. But they do have somewhat comfy seats in case you do need to stay. I've stayed there for an hour before. My husband brought my suv in right when they opened this morning to find out our options for a nail in the tire. The sales rep was a unbelievably unhelpful and rude to my husband. He gave him no options other than ordering a tire to this location and it arriving in a few days. I asked for a manager to help check other locations if they had somethings in stock. The manager equally as unhelpful left to make the calls and never came back to the front. He left called another local tire place they ordered the tire and it will arrive in 2 hours. How difficult was that for discount to find a solution for us?! Third time here. Midweek they have you in and out in 30 minutes. They have excellent people skills and customer service. I get free rotations and I found a nail (slow leak) and its repaired for free. If its not a safe repair then I get another tire pro-rated. And they have them in stock, so again, minimal waiting. I've noticed the manager is very visible and accessible. He works with customers as they come in; doesn't just stand around barking orders at people. No games and they talk to me like I'm 'just a girl'. Manager here is bad! I have been buying tires from Discount Tires for over 25 years and always had great service most of the time! However today this location failed!!! My new car only has 11,000 miles on it and tires needed to be rotated. There was plenty of tread on the front tires but showed slight signs of wear on sidewalls as to be expected on a front wheel drive car. The manager brought me out to my car and said the belts have separated on the sidewalk so he can't rotate them. After looking at the tire there was NO visible sign of sidewall separation. He claimed that he can "feel" it when he rubs his hands over it so he cannot rotate them! BS!!! I wasn't born yesterday! He didn't want to waste his time rotating them cause they do it for FREE! He is was more interested in trying to make a sale than take care of a life long client! Well F.U. Store manager! Your other Discount Tire location had no problem rotating my tires an hour later! We will never get tires from here again! My husband noticed a pulling feeling in his car while driving, took it to a car repair shop, and we were told that we needed a new tire. The defective tire was sold to us from Discount Tire, and was still under warranty. We went to the shop, and they first tried to tell us the tire wasn't covered by warranty (before even looking in our file). Once they looked in our customer file and found that it was, in fact, covered by warranty, they began to work on the car. A few minutes later, the man working on the car informed us that the tire was "stuck" and they had to break it off, causing damage to our car. There was no offer to help fix the car, or offer to pay for the damages. We are extremely disappointed and will never go to this store again. read more

Super friendly quick service, we went online, picked the tires we wanted, made an appointment then called the store to tell them which tires we chose, they weren't in stock so they had them shipped in the next day. Our appointment was on a Friday morning at 9 the store was kinda busy but because we scheduled ahead of time we were in and out in 45 minutes ... easy peasy.... the Goodyear tires we chose apparently had a 40 dollar mail in rebate that the salesman told us about after our purchase, a tire tech. even came in to show us the pressure sensor parts they replaced free of charge. Had a puncture on a tire while on vacation in Louisiana. No discount tire in Louisiana. Put on a replacement and went into the Katy store with my receipt from Louisiana. Robert "bought back" the tire I put on, and my 50k warranty was within 2k of expiring. No issues; discount tire replaced it with a minor certificate fee of $17.50. Ok no wifi seriously. Manager never appeared but 2 years ago my hubs complained all 4 tires were a dud on his ride and they did replace them. My ride requires staggered tires and the two front did not match the rear -- tires not even 6 months old with less than 3k miles on them, one tire had separated - they warranted the bad tire but said if the other tire blew just to call them! Not the same conversation my spouse had with the manager. Both tires were replaced and instead of saying no charge I received a nice invoice. I went there for a tire rotation, balance and a leak in a tire. They didn't even pull my car into the bay until a half hour after my scheduled appointment time which took much longer than expected. They did a really shoddy job and didn't even tighten the valve stem caps. One of them was missing after the service. They didn't even bother checking for a leak until I reminded them after they told me my car was ready. The sales guy claimed that there was a rock puncture that he tried twice to repair, so I paid for a new tire. After reading one of the reviews below, I'm really suspicious about whether he was honest--especially because he rushed repairing it due to the time constraints. I missed another appointment because of the unnecessary delay in this appointment. During my appointment, I noticed a few inappropriate things by the employees like one of them ramming a customer's BMW into a jack and laughing about it to another worker. Lesson learned. This morning I had an exemplary experience. I purchased new tires for my Ram 1500 at the beginning of the week. I did this online, I created an account. I was all very simple. I purchased my Micheline Defender LTX tires on line with all the inclusive add-ons. At the end I picked the day and the time, for the work to be completed. I received confirmation very quickly, I even received a reminder the day before. This is excellent, its great management. I arrived this morning half hour early. Several folks in there already talking to agents. I didn't wait more that a few minutes, 5 at most. The Agent was very cordial, everyone was in clean uniform and It was so smooth. After my information was taken in a few minutes my truck was brought into a bay. Two techs took off the tires and did all the prep work, not even a half hour I was on my way. I left happy with a good feeling. This is very rare to feel this way. At the dealership I'm always nervous, it seems I always leave with a scratch or something. I highly recommend this location. It would be very wise of you to also set up a log in and make your appointment. Its always good because all your records will be available to you going forward. I plan to get my free rotations every 5K miles. It is great for your tires endurance and it will keep you safe. In closing I'm a real patron going forward. I have done several reviews here on Yelp. My tire pressure came on. I went to Discount Tire off Katy Freeway and they put air on tire. I called them when light would not turn off and they claimed I had to drive over 50 mph and at least 15 miles. After a week I called Cinco Ranch Discount Tire. The technician asked I go see them and that he would be waiting for me. The technician check every tire and check what the recommended tire pressure recommended was. He realized tire pressure was wrong and adjusted tire pressure . As soon as I drove away the light went off. It was such a relieve. They will forever have a loyal customer. DO NOT USE THIS DISCOUNT TIRE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD HAVE . I've been a customer of this location for years and never had a bad experience with any car I brought here - including high end sports cars. We brought my sons BMW in to have new tires and new wheels put on. During installation they wheel studs off in the hubs. They informed my son that he could take the car to a shop that they recommended to have the broken studs removed. CORRECT - they had my son drive a vehicle without all rev wheel studs in place, jeopardizing both his safety and risking further damage to the vehicle. After 3 days of calling the "Manager" at Discount Tire for status, I finally called the other shop and he stated that the car was ready and that he had notified DT "a few days ago". We then drive the 30 minutes to pick up the car and bring it back to DT. Once again, they damaged hubs and wheel studs on the car, this time they brought it to the other shop and dropped it off. Once again, after a prolonged period of time I had to call the other shop and go pick the car up from them. We have now had to replace all four wheel hubs, half of the wheel studs, an alignment AND they damaged the newly finished wheels which were still in the box when they got them $900 repair alone. Please, go to ANY other DT other than this one. read more

However their service is somewhat questionable - out of ~10 times I came to this shop, I had to return 3 times to re-do the balancing. Either their machines are not properly calibrated or people don't pay much attention to what they do. Once they broke the thread on the wheel of my Jeep Wrangler, which was a a result of obvious over-torquing. However, as I said earlier, their prices are probably the best in the area. read more
