Great consulting on selection and everyone when I showed up knew I was coming and was friendly. I used drop box in morning and they even called me at 8 am to acknowledge receipt. Today I went to Discount Tire on Tilch Road and was very disappointed. I've been here before and the service was fine, actually great. They worked in a timely manner even whilst clearly busy, previously. Unfortunately their service was not up to par today. I spoke with John about my tires and what needed to be addressed. It was obvious they were rather busy. He treated me as if I were an inconvenience & was rude. I felt so rushed & didn't feel like he cared at all. Reinhold at Discount tire helped me to get Goodyear Eagle F1 GS2 tires for my 007 Corvette. They were mounted etc. I had to call the next day since the Goodyear tires are noisy and have a rough ride and the store ( discount tire )said they would swap out my tires for a set of Michelin pilot sport all season plus 3. I had an appointment set for new tires and the team at Discount took great care of me. I went during what was probably their busiest time of the year, wait times for customers without an appointment was 5-6 hours. I just have to say that since they take their last appointment at 6pm, they're there from 8am until at least 11pm, working hard in the cold. After running into problems with my tires, the were always very patient. Discount even paid for replacement of my broken studs when they didn't have to and gave me new locking lug nuts when mine broke. These guys went above and beyond for me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience in such an overwhelming situation. read more

Horrible. Visited multiple times with one of my tires loosing air continuously. Multiple occasions they told me there was nothing wrong with my tire and my rim had corrosion and needed a new one to stop the leak for good. So after visiting multiple discount tires and having the same response I broke down and got a new rim only to have it still leak.... I was fed up and looked i to the leak myself and found a hole in my tire...... so they told me to get a new rim that solved nothing but waste my money and time when they just had to patch the damn hole. And to make it worse when I got new tires recently I had them put the "best" tire of my old set onto my now spare rim and they gave my the tire with the hole. I believe in second chances, so against my better judgement I made an appt and went back to this store. I had been here numerous times and every time is worse than the first. I am not sure who does the hiring but a criminal record must be mandatory. I have a 2017 Escalade that had a slow leak. Of course in typical Discount Tire fashion they started with the hard sell for new tires. I just need them to look at the leak. He said the tires were to wore to do anything. I left and went down the road to another well known chain and where they fixed stem leaks on two tire, was in and out with great service. Great service. Had an appointment scheduled for 8:30 A.M. for tire rotation. I got to the store earlier than appointment and they had me back on the road in literally 15 minutes. I've been here quite a few times over the years and I've honestly never had a bad experience. My dad has been going a lot longer than I have and I can see why he's stuck with them. Every few months when I need more air in my tires, this place does it quickly and efficiently (for free as well). The only downside is that there are long lines at times, especially during the late fall when everyone's tire pressure drops with the cold air. Earlier this week I had to get a tire replaced and everyone there was courteous, professional, and knew what they were doing. Even when there was a long line, people were seen very quickly and their issues were addressed thoroughly. The waiting area has a ton of seats as well. Not specific to this location, but the company's tire replacement warrantee is also really great, it saved me a lot of time and money. Definitely recommend! read more

To whom it may concern, I cannot say enough about the concern, caring, and professionalism of Jon, Jimmi, Matt and Jake at the Discount Tire at Tilch and Hall Rd in Macomb County, MI. These guys went above and beyond my wildest expectations the other day! I won't get into the specifics but, I have never seen a greater group of individuals take the needs of their customers to such a great extent. I also have never been treated so well by a business as I was the other day. Their actions were heroic (and I don't take that word lightly). I work down by where that Discount Tire is but I live 60 miles away from there. I will now only go to that Discount Tire if I need something done! I owe these guys a great debt of gratitude. Went in to Discount at hall and Tilch to order 5 new rims for my lift truck and 5 Nitto 37in Mud Grapplers. Brad was awesome. He helped me pick out rims. I had an idea of the style I wanted but the exact rims. I was dead set on the tires I wanted. Brad had to source 2 from one store, 2 from a warehouse and 1 from a second store. I woke up this rainy and dark morning to a flat tire on my truck. I filled it with enough air to get to Discount tire 1/2 mile from my home on Hall road and Tiltch. The tech took my truck in to look at what may be the issue and within less than an hour, brought my truck up front and said all set, no charge! He said there was a hole in the tire from a nail or screw that had popped out and he plugged the hole and sent me on my way, plus filled all tires with air! This place goes beyond others to help and please customers even if it does not result in a big sale. Went to Discount Tire to get a free tire rotation. One of the young guys who works there asked to look at my tires first. After a few minutes he came back in and told me that it wouldn't do any good to rotate my tires because the tread was too low. Then he told me that I would need new tires soon. I looked at some tires and wheels with him and I told him I wanted to go up to an 18 inch tire (I have 17 inch). He quoted me some tires and wheels for 1400. I told him I I would come back in June to do this and left. In the meantime I called my Ford Dealer and made an appt to get my tires rotated and an evaluation of my tires. They rotated my tires and told me I wouldn't need new tires for another 6-9 months. Also that I should not change tire size because of the sensors new cars have for braking, traction control, etc. They operate on the original size of the tires. Changing tire size would cause problems with driving. Wow. If I would have gone with Discount Tire I would have left a lot of life on my tires and cause problems with my car. Don't trust what they tell you. Obviously they just want your money. Get a second opinion from your car dealer. read more

I went to this place because I had a leak in my rear driver side tire. It was a Saturday and they closed at 5pm. I walked in the door at 5:05pm. all sorts of activity going on....several guys still working in the garage. The guy in the office told me they close at 5 and they couldn't repair my tire. he was rude. Would it have taken 15 minutes to repair the tire? I'll never go back to this place. I had an appointment at 5:15 on 1/6/2021. I came in because I tire had a slow leak. The pressure never went below 23 PSI. They brought me in the bay within 10 minutes and I came in early. I had one guy greet me and ask what brought me in and he went out to my car to get my mileage and check my tire. I went in the bay and Paul W took off my tire. I have had a flat repair done at discount tire before and never had to replace my tire. Paul took my tire off of my rim without directing me with what he was going to do. I then see he soak it to see if there were bubbles for leaked air. He came over to my car and stated I had a hole in my tire and he can replace the tire with an orzo tire? Which would be $117 out the door. My car had Firestone tires on it originally. He then asks me if I'm going to pay cash or car. He never even explained anything except for stating I had a whole in my tire. I then proceeded to ask him why he couldn't put the tire back on the rim and he said once it's off I am not authorized to put it back on the rim. I would've liked to have known this before he took it off the rim so I could do a price check on tires before purchasing a new. He never once apologized and he took his mask down when talking to me. I had to ask him to put it back on. He then asked again if I was going to pay cash or card and I handed him my card. Paul went inside and comes out snd says "we actually have a Firestone tire available but it will be $190 out the door. I said well I guess I'm going to have to buy a tire, I can't drive out of here with no tire. Pail stated he could put my spare on instead but I do not have a spare. I am extremely upset as this is hard times and I had to pay $190 for a brand new tire. Why couldn't he just fix the hole? It would've been nice to at least have an apology. read more

I'm sure I looked shocked and he said today was actually the slowest day in weeks and normally it runs 6 hours. Are you kidding me? I know I am a female but that is ridiculous. No suggestions for another day, time, or even that I could make an appointment online. NOTHING !! Sounds like they want to discourage a free rotation. So the "free" rotation with tire purchase really isn't unless you want to wait 2.5 to 6 hours !!!! I have never left this place without feeling coerced into buying new tires. If you are going in for a free tire patch, they will come up with any number of reasons they need to to justify not fixing the tires. I don't know if it's just because I am a woman, but the employees talked down to me and would not even take into account what I was telling them about the repair history of my tires(like I was just a dumb girl who knows nothing about what she is saying). If you have a damaged tire, go elsewhere. When they refuse to fix the tire because it is "dangerous" or won't put the damaged tire back on your car, your choices are limited. My husband went in to get four brand new tires before our vacation. He drove the car home and it sat for 4 days while I was out of town. When we got in it to leave for our vacation one of the tires was loosing air pressure. We called and told them our situation and they said they would do there best to help us. When we arrived they told us there were four other people before us. The problem was we had friends following us and waiting on us. Best tire place ever. I was on the road looking for USED tires all day. Then I decided to see if discount tire had any used ones. I was greeted outside by a nice gentleman. I asked about used tires and after he looked, they didn't have my tire size. However, he was nice enough to call other places for me to see if they had them. (I'm deaf and I wasn't sure if he was aware of this. But it truly helped me from driving to those places since I cannot talk on the phone.) they didn't have any and the next place I went to, had them! So he saved me two trips! I did not buy any products because my tires are new and I just had a screw in one of them, HOWEVER, they still gave me the same great service that they would a paying customer. So disappointed. I went here to get a leaky tire fixed. They fixed the tire and told me that they'd checked the other tires, too. AS SOON AS I pull out of the lot, my tire pressure light came back on. Went back, and they told me the light would reset once I drove for a bit. Did some other errands, light is still on. Pulled into a gas station to check the pressure, and the tire they fixed was overinflated, and all 3 other tires were a little low. They didn't check the other tires and lied to me.
