Scams you into buying tires by claiming the tires you bring them are bad when they aren't. They claim nobody will install them another lie to sell you something that you dont need that doesn't come with an actual warranty. Holds your car hostage until you buy there low quality brands. Lots of excuses no genuine people on my visit. Probably not even tire certified workers. Should have went somewhere else. I usually go here when I need tires if I can. Sometimes, they are not the lowest, so I will go where the price is best, but if I can, I support this company. They have very good customer service. I recently had a slow leak in my tire. They patched it and didn't charge me anything. This is why Les Schwab had got so big. They spread goodwill in the community by doing things for free, while most others won't. In fact, I can't think of a single other tire company that I have ever been to that has done anything for free. By doing the small stuff for free, Les Schwab hopes that when I need tires, I will think of them, which I will, if I can. I was trying to buy tires for a trailer and already had the rims off the trailer before I went to Les Swabb on fairview. I got a quote I was alright with and agreed to the purchase. I have had my identity stolen before so I do not give out personal information unless absolutely necessary. Buying trailer tires wouldn't necessitate my personal information. The girl giving me the quote must've had an ego driven moment and took my desire to remain anonymous as a challenge for her to circumvent. After I agreed to the purchase, she decided to run the license plate of the vehicle I was in and apply that information to my purchase. The vehicle was my neighbor's, not mine. Two hours later I told the people at the desk I couldn't wait any longer (I was initially told a half hour) and was informed that the tires had been done for quite some time and I was just not answering as they were calling out my neighbor's name. I asked how they got that name and quickly figured out that an employee had run the plate, stole the information associated with it, and fraudulently applied it to my purchase. They then lied to me and told me that they couldn't sell tires without a name attached to them. I asked them to remove the tires from my rims and I would be on my way. The story then changed to not having a warranty because of not having my name. I told them I didn't care about the warranty as I would never do business with them again. I paid in cash and left. My personal information is just that, MY personal information. If I don't want to share it, I won't, and I have my reasons. Stealing inaccurate information and fraudulently applying that information just to fill blank lines on a computer is some trashy low rate behavior. Lying to cover up that behavior is something I expect from adolescents and con men. In the end, I feel violated and betrayed. Shame on the employees of Les Swabb on Fairview, especially the employee who ran my neighbor's license plate after I said I didn't want to give out my name. That was not customer service, it was an attempted exploitation. I would say be better people, but honestly, I think lies fraud and theft are probably acceptable for Les Swabb. read more

Overall, I think Les Schwab does good work. Their warranty and reliability for me has been on the ups and downs for the last 7 years. I have had times where I knew the problem and other mechanics confirmed it and Les Schwab swore they fixed it under warranty and they didn't. But I've also had some really good results from them too. Here is my advise for those buy tires from them though. Look else where if price is matter of concern to you! Workmen ship is great but not that great. Tires review: I have bought some Great tires from them, didn't realized they were that overpriced and by that much though. This time around I wanted all weather Quadtrac tires for my little car. From Les you can get them for $800 plus putting them on makes it a total of $920. If you are willing to wait, just buy the tire online and ship it to ship a shop you find reliable to put on. The Quatrac is actually worth 100 ish dollars. I just bought four from tire rack for $470. I had to wait 2 weeks, but I got them for way less than 800. Then I got them put on by another shop and got their warranty, tires come with their own warranty, and tire rack has a warranty too. Saved me 400 dollars. read more

Hello Neighbors. Just want to share about the wonderful customer service I just received from Les Schwab over on Broadway. I was steeling myself for a huge brake bill due to the horrendous screeching that started last Saturday. Long story short, it was a rock that worked its way up where it should not have been. Michael and Ryan took care of me at no cost including rotating my tires. I am feeling so thrilled right now and very lucky they found that rock. It's cool that they do free brake consultations... I got my brakes replaced in May. They squeaked immediately after replacement and continued to squeak so I brought my car back in. They told me I hadn't driven enough miles to break them in (I calculated it out and they were wrong about that) les schwab cleaned the brakes, and sent me on my way. It's September and they're still squeaking. On top of it all I scheduled a consultation for 11 am. It's 12:06 and they still haven't taken my car back. They are definitely not time efficient. read more

It was a crazy busy day when I was in for new tires. Even during the busiest moments, the staff was professional and took time to fully answer each customer's question. The staff was literally running back and forth getting tires off the racks, running out to help people stuck in the snow in their parking lot, answering phones. I pulled in because I felt my wheel and tire gone fall off. It looked like an loose bolt. I talked to Bill and he said he can schedule me in. I told him it's just a loose bolt he said still you have to wait. I asked can I borrow the tool and I can just tighten it. I also said I can come back to make sure nothing is broken next day. He just said we can't give you any tools you can wait or reschedule and walked a way from us. What an unprofessional way Les Schwab has become by hiring people like this. It would have taken him less then 30 seconds to help me or let me use the tool. I waited for him for at list 5 minutes while he and 4 other employees were standing there and just talking. He wouldn't even help us if I hadn't asked for attention. Thank you Les Schwab for treating us like this. We want be stoping any time soon. It's sad that business that have been around Boise for so long are not what they used to be. What a shame. I will choose careful next time I need tires!!! read more

We were told we had to make an appointment to bring our car in so we did. Our appointment was at 3:00. We were there until 4:30 when we finally just asked for our keys back as our vehicle had not even been looked at. Keys were given back with no apology or anything. Oh my!! What fabulous service. My low tire light had come on so I swung 1/2 into an empty bay to stop & ask if they would check & fill my tires. Everyone was busy upon sight, so I expected to wait, however, no sooner had I put my car in park & looked up, there was a smiling young man, air hose in hand, waiving me all the way in!. He was joined by another man & they had all 4 tires checked & filled within 3 minutes of my arrival! With my light now extinguished, I was ready to head home! I brought my truck in because of a flat. They up-sold me, of course, I didn't mind that so much because it was time for new tires anyway. However, they tinkered around in my truck, told me that I needed new ball joints and an alignment, and now my truck can barely drive straight. I brought it back for them to check it out, they brought it in the garage for all of 5 minutes and told me everything was fine. I also have a payment plan with them and was given a ton of misinformation. Really, REALLY bad/expensive experience with no positive final result. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Flat tire on the 4th of July, riding around in a beat up SUV, with a spare tire for four days was really embarrassing. I initially went to Big O and they told me my tire was done, and it'd be $500 to fix. As I know quite well that ladies get bullshitted in situations like this,I am glad I went to get a second opinion. Les Schwab fixed my tire, for fucking free, were super nice, and have a payment plan program ( the interest is ridic, but hey it's there). They saved my ASS. Additional kudos, when I posted about how amazingly kind they were, i had probably 10 people comment on my fb about how rad these guys were, and how they'd never go anywhere else. for your tire needs, skip the other commercial retailers.Customer service is astounding here. read more

We went here for new tires 6 months ago and had a great experience. Unfortunately, one of those tires malfunctioned after 5K miles, and only this location in Boise insisted on being difficult, REFUSING to answer simple questions, and insisting that the tire would not be covered under warranty before ever seeing the tire or vehicle. Zero desire or care for customers. Luckily, I called the Cole location and have a technician already en route to help. Thank god for them. Don't waste your time at the Fairview store tho. They don't want you to bother them anyways. And DEFINITELY don't discuss Les Schwab warranties with them. read more

I had some serious problems with Les Schwab's Cole location in Boise. I had a rotation done and about a month later almost lost the rear tire off my F350 on the highway. The guys at the Cole store wouldn't take responsibility, they made me feel extremely uncomfortable and as a customer I was ready to end my long standing relationship with les schwab completely. I was told by a chief mechanic at Kendall Ford to talk to Jeff Whick at the Fairview store. I was a little reluctant based on my dealings with the Cole store but figured I would give them one last chance. Jeff was amazing, all I wanted was for Les Schwab to apologize for what had happened and really understand that the situation could have been disastrous. If I had lost a wheel on a 10k pound truck people could have been seriously injured or killed. I didn't want to hear excuses or deal with finger pointing I just wanted them to make it right. Jeff went above and beyond all my expectations to rectify what had happened. I transferred my business to his location and chose to deal with only him and his staff directly. Today I put a brand new set of tires on my truck only because of Jeff and his ability to reinstall my confidence in Les Schwab and their commitment to their customers. His staff were all aware of the situation and they all treated me with dignity and respect. I would also like to mention Mike who was my tech that did the tire installations. He brought me into the bay to explain the tire siping, showed me the differences in the tires I purchased compared to what I had previously and just was overall a genuinely nice guy. GREAT SERVICE! I probably could get cheaper tires elsewhere or online, but the free rotations, free flat repair, free balance and free warranty on tires purchased here make those purchases more expensive in the long run. I appreciate the friendly, honest service that my family has received at the Boise Fairview Ave location since May 1995. I had a horrible noise on my right front side when braking the last couple weeks and thought I needed new brakes. They checked it told me, my brakes could go a little longer, but I had a loose bolt that needed tightening. I thought I would be looking at a $500 plus brake job and instead they tightened the bolt for free. My last tires lasted so long that I had to replace them due to age rather than wearing out and I put a lot of miles on my car! read more

I was at an all-day event today (Saturday) and was informed by a passer-by that my tire was flat. It was 4:30 and today had been the first significant snow in the valley. I called Les Schwab, and even though they were backed up putting snow tires on and dealing with other flats, they were able to squeeze me in. They even came out to my event and put air in my tire so I could hop in the car and drive it to their location on Fairview to have the tire repaired. The staff stayed late to accommodate all their customers, and I was one of the last ones to leave at almost six -- even though they closed at five. I could have been stranded in the freezing(!) cold and snow on a weekend evening. Luckily, I'm a Les Schwab customer! They treated me like gold and got me on my way, even staying late to do so. They didn't charge me anything and refused to accept tips I offered. I've had other very positive experiences with Les Schwab in Idaho, Oregon, and one while on a road trip in Nevada. I have referred numerous friends to Les Schwab, and Les Schwab has a life-long loyal customer in me. read more

I went in Saturday to get a rotate on the 20 inch tires on my Yukon that we just bought. The front tires were getting a little worn and the back ones have good tread left. I measured it and it was 3/32 in the lowest spot. After waiting there for 30 minutes for them to get it into a bay one of the kids came over that was working on it and said to come out with him to the shop. He proceeded to tell me that due to liability for the transmission, they couldn't touch my rig. I told him that the tread depth was 3/32 which is Schwabs minimum, according to the guy quoting company policy. He continued to argue with me. I had got a quote for $1335 for 4 new tires and I was seriously considering buying from Schwabs. After this experience, I went three blocks down the street and found a Firestone was happy to take my business and quoted me 400 less for a comparable tires. They rotated my tires and did a free maintenance inspection of my car and I was out of there in 20 minutes. Never again giving Schwab's the opportunity to take a dollar from me for anything. That company sure has changed over the years. Now they want to do is sell tires and take advantage of women on brake estimates. read more

Spent $2200 for very poor service. First offthey insisted I needed to get my ball joints repressed because the snap rings wouldn't fit on the lower arm. I just replaced them and knew they wouldn't fit and that's how they were when I took the old ones out. "No we have the machine, it'll work" tried to say they spent 3 hours working on it for the mechanic to tell me they won't go in. Lol. So I still got charged an hour of service for tightening the nuts. Real time consuming there. Second, I paid $600 for rims to keep it in house and fast shipping compared to an online price of $250 + free shipping! 100% markup!! Whatever, I just wanted to get it done. Rims come in with out chrome center caps. That's pretty annoying considering how much I over paid for them. They supposedly ordered new ones and I came back 8 days later after no phone call. They never ordered them because they were out of stock at the warehouse! So now it's been 3 weeks and finally getting my caps. Les Schwab has done nothing but give me piss poor service and haven't done anything to try and compensate for it. Horrible customer service. I won't be spending my money there again or letting anyone I know waste their time. Reply: I have voiced my opinion on your store's service, And I don't need to go tell the manager the same thing. I wrote this review while waiting an hour for them to put the right caps on. I'm not wasting anymore time in your store. read more

After being a LS customer since 1977, I'm afraid I have to break up with them. They diagnosed my car as needing new struts, so I took it in and had them replaced. This was $1184.00. They called to tell me they were finished, however, the source of the clunking sound wasn't the struts after all, it was a control arm! So the struts didn't need to be replaced after all. No matter how many miles are on my car, it should have been MY decision whether or not to spend $1184.00! The "old" LS I have known over the past 41 years would have gotten the car up on the rack and called me as soon as they notice my struts were okay, and given me the option of replacing or not. The manager, Ben, did refund me $99.50 for the labor, but that's a drop in the bucket as far as I'm concerned. So, buyer beware. Make them SHOW you what's wrong, don't take their word for it. UPDATE: after contacting corporate, I was contacted by the store manager who now says my struts were bad after all, even though the guy that replaced them didn't say that. Back-peddling IMO. Why didn't the technician who did the work say they were bad? read more

I've been using Les Schwab for 15 years and have spent well over $10,000 in tires and they lost a customer for life today. I bought tires in the amount of $1800 Toyo Proxies and they lasted a sum total of 16 months. It was the only option they had at the time so they said without a mileage warranty. Today they are trying to sell me new tires for $1400 with a warranty as a deal. Done with les Schwab. If you like wasting money this is where you go. read more

I bought new tires from Les Schwab that have been leaking air since I got them (not weather related). My previous tires never did this. I have spent about $80 on Uber and missed 6 hours of work taking my car to Les Schwab (3 times), to the dealer and to another tire store. The first 2 times I brought it to Les Schwab they didn't know what was causing it. The 3rd time they told me I needed $1500 new wheels. Instead of buying them, I decided to get a 2nd opinion. I took it to the dealer and they told me my wheels were fine. I called Les Scheab to tell them the dealer told me my wheels are fine and they told the dealer doesn't see as many tires as them so is probably wrong. Next, I took it to a local tire shop who told me my wheels are fine. Both the dealer and shop said the tires Les Schwab sold me could be faulty. Since my tires are under warranty and I don't want to buy new tires from somebody else, I have to take it to Les Schwab for a 4th time. In addition to this situation, Les Schwab recommended I get work done on my axel which when I took it to the dealer was told it didn't need to be done. They also sold me a faulty battery which left me stranded when my car didn't start. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything from them again. read more
