I've been hesitant to post this, but I got new tires last week and had some personal belongings taken from my center console. Unfortunately I'm guessing the employees needed it more than I did! I really hate accusing people of stealing, but 100% know for a fact the stuff I am missing was in my center console and is now gone. Went in to change two rear tires, have the tires rotated. After removing front wheels they stated the rear wheels were "bent" and could not be properly balanced to be placed on front. They then put original front wheels back on front of vehicle and in doing so cross threaded one of the studs and told us we would have to take it to a mechanic to fix it. No offer from the management to make right what they were responsible for. I know for a fact the front wheel studs were fine since I have rotated the tire myself and changed front brake pads. read more

They are the best. Competent, friendly, helpful associates in the sales center. They can find your "account " by looking thru their database several different ways. I've never had to explain who I was more than a last name or a phone #, thank you! Also, having had to come back so many times for really bad personal luck and experiences with screws, bolts, nails, and sidewall repairs-because I always live in exciting up and coming neighborhoods... I've definitely recovered expenses because of their coverage program (definitely ask for more info for "certificates" and how their coverage works. Just my luck I run over a small black thing while taking a left to my apartment, not sure what it was but it popped my back tire! Crazy. I called Discount Tire and asked if I can come in same day, they said no appointments are available but walk ins are welcomed. Came an hour later. And I knew I was going to get sold 4 new tires, because it's how it works. They always try to sell you all 4, but luckily for them, I already knew my tires are in the low yellow to almost red and needed tires. So it was an easy sell for them. I wanted my original tires but they only had 2 in stock so the guy helped me out by giving me the Michelin tires for the same price. Were they the cheapest tires on the block? Walmart was selling for about $17 less but with DT rebate special they were offering turned out to be the same. So got me some new tires. Nobody likes to spend $$ on getting tires. Discount Tires will always offer the best price or match a price if you happen to find it cheaper elsewhere. I particularly like this location because it's in a Target shopping center. If you have an appointment they have you in and out pretty quick, I don't even usually get to finish my shopping. Lol Edward was super friendly and took the time to help me price match a competitor to give me the best price. Edward goes above and beyond and you never feel rushed. I had this slow leak in my front right tire for about two weeks and over the last three days I had to fill my tire with air because it was flat again. Today I made time to go to Discount Tire where I originally bought the tires to have them inspect and fix the leak. I arrived at about 3:30 and the lobby and parking are was crowded with people either buying tires, having tires repaired or having air pressure checked, they were very busy however, they got me a time slot and said it would take about one and a half hour to finish. What was nice is they sent a text letting me know exactly what the status of my car and exactly the time promised my car was ready. As I wait for my car to be finished I observed the tire technicians work on car after car and it was teamwork at its best, working together under supervision of the management they got every car in and out with a rhythm of precision. This shop was organized, clean and the staff was very professional. I've purchased tires at other tire outlets and even online but nothing or nobody beats the level of full service that Discount Tire provides. read more

Took our two cars here for a rotation service. I was informed it was best to get there as soon as they open in order to avoid the wait, however they now take appointments even for their free rotation service. Once checked in, they'll walk out with you to your car to get some info (tread, pressures, etc) and give you an estimated timeframe. You'll also be able to check the status of your vehicle through the link they send you via text. It'll show you when you car is in the bay and when it's ready to be picked up. I had a nail in my tire and at the El Camino location in Oceanside, they've told me over the phone to bring it in, since they were not too terribly busy. When we arrived there, they've told us it will be about one hour, which was totally acceptable. I was happy we were able to do it right at the time we've noticed the tire pressure going down. When I was ready to pick my car up and pay, they did not charge me anything. I was very positively surprised, since I didn't expect that at all. I've purchased several sets of tires there before on my old vehicles, but not on my current one, so I thought for sure there is a charge. My Trail Boss tires had a total of 6900 miles, and unexpectedly a screw nail punctured the passenger side rear tire. The employees displayed terrific customer service and professionalism when I did not even purchase my sets of tires from them. The combined wait time from start to finish was an hour and thirty minutes, which is not bad considering the volume of people and the nature of my emergency. Five Star Experience! I wish I remembered the name of the guy that helped me at the counter. When I walked in he greeted me and walked with me to my car to assess. He informed me that they would be able repair my tire with no charge. Yay! He gave me an estimated time of completion around 45 minutes. Perfect since I was on my lunch break I went next door to eat. Came back around 45 minutes and they were almost done. Waited another 15 minutes and all was good. Discount Tire has won me over as a customer. Woke up today, jumped in the van and started driving. A dash light came on saying low tire pressure in one tire. I drive over to discount tire. I was greeted very fast, they spotted a nail in the tire and told me the options. They ended up plugging the hole and patching the tire. I was expecting to pay for this service but they charged me nothing. They also inspected and filled all my other tires too. Made an appointment for a tire rotation the night before online (it's easy and saves a lot of time) then came in and was promptly checked-in. I just say this was the most pleasant car service experience I have ever had. The customer service was excellent, they were extremely transparent with the situation and explained everything to me so that I would understand what was happening. Best part? It was FREE. That's right, FREE! My tire got a metal shard stuck in it on the way to work and I'm so glad I stopped into this location because even thought they were super busy they got me in and out in an 1.5 and I just sat in the lobby and used the free WiFi to work while I waited. They even allowed me to tip the technician who serviced my car after I asked who it was by introducing me to the technician. To begin with, my vehicle had messed up wheels and tires due to hitting an object on the highway so I had to get them replaced for me to even drive anymore. Well the tow truck brought me to this location but we weren't sure if they would even have the wheels or tires that I needed so I went to ask an employee and they gave me multiple options for my vehicle! (Which btw is a 2013 Nissan Sentra) I decided to go with a cheaper option for the wheels and tires which they still actually looked nice! Better than the original stock wheels in my opinion. I actually made two visits here to change my wheels. The first visit I changed my two right tires(front and rear) since the other side was still good so I figured I didn't need to change everything yet so they rearranged the tires so the two new ones would be on the back and the old ones would be on the front. They took about an hour or less to get everything done which was perfect since I had to get back on the road to see my girlfriend for some plans we made! The guy also gave me all the lug nuts I needed so if I decided to change the remaining two wheels later The second visit I changed my remaining two tires so they can all match! And also one of my remaining wheels were actually messed up a little from the previous accident so I pretty much had to change them or more issues would arise. Got helped pretty quickly and now have all 4 wheels and tires matching! My overall cost for the tire change was about $770 for all 4 wheels and tires which is actually a good deal, many of my buddies have even told me it was a good deal! (1st visit $400.97 due to getting all the lug nuts, 2nd visit $368.64) I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs wheels or tires changed. Great service overall. I stop by any Discount Tire location when my tire pressure is low. They'll check your tire pressure and fill up your tires for free without even having to get out of your car! I visited the Oceanside location today to get my tires rotated. The last auto shop I visited for an oil change advised that my tires needed to be rotated and would charge me $15. I passed and said I'd go to my usual tire store. Discount Tire did not charge me for a rotation! I made an appointment the day before my visit which proved helpful because on this particular visit, they were very busy. The line was getting long and I waited for about 10 minutes (the only associate, assisting someone on the phone) before back up appeared. 10/8/2018 Really again... it's even worse this time (see picture) NO mat covering placed down to protect my wet mats when I asked for one because I just had my car detailed I don't get you guys?? WHY is it so difficult to follow through with a simple request to protect our car Mats and Carpeting from the grease and oil filled shoes you have to wear. Geez!! 2.5 Stars... I think your location is on point "most of the time!" BUT.... what I think needs to happen is.. when your techs get in and out of cars, they really really need to put something on the floor mats, so their grease filled shoes don't get all over the customers (mine) floor mats. Two times now, when I spent $1000 on New Tires and then again today for the first Rotation & Balance of those tires, my drivers mat is a greasy mess! Do you know how hard that is to be to get off of Light Grey Mercedes car mats? C'mon Discount Tire, I blame YOU not them for not providing 'something' for them to lay down when they need to drive your vehicle in and out of the bays!
