Used to be a great, no pressure, helpful Discount Tire. Twice this year they have done high pressure, or ridiculously overpriced services. Once was when they told me it would be over $400 to mount and balance some new tires I bought. Industry standard (and other Discount Tires) have priced in the past about $100-$150. Second was when my girlfriend went in to get a tire patched because I was not available to do it. Puncture was in the middle of tread and patchable. Instead, they made up an excuse that the puncture was "too deep" and tried to upsell her on 2 different (and more expensive) tires. Not sure if management has changed and put quotas on employees now, but I'm done coming to this location. Will be looking for another Discount Tire. read more

We had to bring in both of our cars for a rotation during COVID. I'm not a fan of how they had to change the process because of COVID. You call or drive up and they check you in while you wait in the car. You go and park and have to sit in your car until someone comes to tell you what bay to drive into. Once you drive into the bay, then you can wait either outside or inside the lobby. This was frustrating for a couple reasons. 1) it was over 90 that day and I had to sit in a hot car for 40 minutes to check in and then wait for someone tell me they're ready for my car. I'm not a person that likes to leave my car idling on. 2) if you have things you need to get done and you're used to dropping off the car and getting things done, it's massively inconvenient. I understand they had to change these things as part of COVID, so I'm understanding of why. But they need to figure something out for these hot months. Don't make people wait in their cars, especially elderly or pregnant women. On the car I brought it, we've noticed that it drives differently. Like the tires weren't properly balanced. I will still visit this location to give them another chance post COVID. But I might take my car to the discount tire in Cedar Park on my way home from work to properly balance my tires. read more

1/22/21 Pflugerville is usually a very busy location. Got a flat on the Toll Road. This is my local Discount Tire. Have registered every car I've owned with them since opening. Had the car towed in. I called and advised them a tow truck would be dropping off the car and authorized any repair necessary. Turns out both tires on the drivers side were damaged by something on the road. ( it was dark 6:00 in the morning- I didn't see anything ) Within 2 hours I was notified the car was done. Repaired 1flat in front and REPLACED both rear tires. ( The found a problem with the rear tire on the passenger side and just handled it ! )Total charge 85 bucks. Big time Bargain !!! What I appreciate most is the professionalism; problem handled without any hassle. Note : I buy the road hazard for every tire on every car I own. In face I bought a tall Nissan's Van for my business. 1st week brought it to Discount Tire and purchased the warranty on all tires. ( spare too ) Dealer said they'd cover the tires for the 1st year. That's nice, but like I told the salesman. Discount Tire gets all my business because Tires is what they do !!! For me every experience is always a good experience. Arrived at 10:15 for my 10:45 appointment. They told me an appointment would move me up on the list. At 11 I asked them what was going on so they took my keys. It's 11:40 and my truck is just pulling into the bay. The employees are extremely nice and obviously overworked. I'm only getting my tires rotated which is a free service so I'm sure I'm not priority. However I've bought tires for both of my vehicles and both of my trailers in the last two years. Seems everybody (including myself) on my cul-de-sac has been remodeling, so there've been a lot of screws, nails and other debris on the street. I've pulled out several screws, but seems one finally penetrated to cause a slow leak. Since I had 50K miles on the original tires, I decided to replace them all. I did their online appointment, and everything went smooth. I showed up about 15 minutes ahead of time, and had all 4 tires done in less than an hour. This place is always crowded, so I highly recommend making the appointment. This has been by far the best experience I have had anywhere in a long time! These guys make a great team. I was passing through yesterday late afternoon on my way to San Antonio and noticed I was losing pressure in one of my tires. I pulled over and had a piece of metal stuck in my tire. I put air and made it to this Discount Tire an hour before closing. They were extremely busy but were able to get me going in no time. Amazing customer service. I caught a metal rod in my tire, another location told me they couldn't patch it and I'd have to buy 5 new tires because they don't carry mine anymore(over $1100), so I just had that location put my spare on - they charged me for this. I came by the Pflugerville location yesterday and they patched it and mounted it for free. These guys exemplify great customer service. I came to this store when I moved to Pflugerville and found out that their manager was Johnny, whom I've dealt with before when he was at the Burnet Road location. I just bought four new tires here and got a good price and he helped me find the right ones for my truck and not sacrifice quality. They are fast and efficient, and now I'm back because I ran over a nail and it was right before closing yet they still got me in. I would highly recommend this particular store. I visited this location Friday May 22 around 10:30 a.m. to get a tire repaired & for a tire rotation. Gentleman that assisted me told me that my tire would most likely be repaired. Told me that I needed to buy tires because they were too worn out, & when it came to the tire rotation that it would be pointless because I should buy new tires. I was pretty firm on what service I needed & I appreciate that he was informative in letting me know that I should consider new tires because of the wear. He said if price was the issue that he can see what specials they had going on at that moment & mentioned the Discount Tire CC. I nicely told him not at this time. Only service performed was repairing my tire (nail in tire). Tire valve was not placed back. No receipt of my visit...Fast forward to today June 4, 2020 I'm getting service at Dodge & I'm told I'm due for a tire rotation. I explained past event, consultant let me know that they should have rotated my tires, placed the better ones(front tires) on the back. Paying for a service now that is a free service with Discount Tire, sucks especially knowing that I bought my tires at Discount Tire. 6/21/2020 Just now getting a chance to come back on here to give an update. A few days after my review, manager Javier reached out to me to try and make things right. He did let me know that the Gentleman that assisted me went about it the wrong way, and that I should have gotten my tires rotated. Manager asked I go in to visit with him to make things right. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Came in 10 til 6pm (when they close) so they can check The air pressure on my tires. Come to find out that one of the tires had two nails in them!! They were so quick to take care of it and since I had come 2 days before for the same issue, they cover the cost for the tire with the nails! I ended up buying another tire so I can have two new ones in the back, but will come again to buy the ones for the front of the car. Excellent customer service, great variety of tires. I have a very large lifted truck and I came in a hour or so before they closed, the manager said it will be a bit since the tires I was putting on would take multiple hands, I completely understood and waited patiently until it was my turn. They literally stayed 2 hours passed their close time, they had trouble getting them to get seated since the tires were on a set of smaller wheels for a few months and I was going to a much wider 12" wheel, but they never gave up, they finally got the tires to play along and got the wheels mounted! I couldn't believe these guys stayed that long to get me taken care of! I couldn't recommend a better place to get you hooked up with some wheels and tires! I am so shocked they didn't try to one up me or make me pay an arm and leg.
