I've done business elsewhere and have been to Discount a few times. I felt compelled today to write a review to share my experience. I was greeted at my car when the store opened. They could have let me walk in before starting the customer service process but they didn't. From that initial greeting from Jennifer the rest of my visit was spot on. Don't go anywhere else for your tire needs. Miles and his team are amazing and very customer focused. You won't be disappointed if you take the time to wait for service. I'm very happy I stopped by this Discount Tire today. I must have timed it just right. I arrived and someone came out to greet me and see what I needed. The service man was nice and helpful. I have never had a problem with this place and am so glad I tried them out. I stopped by at 7:50 on a Friday and had 6 people in front of me. They opened the doors at 8. This store is complete bogus. Most guys working here are basically young high school graduates. They don't have the passion or desire to get customers great deal. That's why it's not as busy here. This one short white guy with short hair thinks he knows everything and makes his own bogus rules and butts into everyone's deals. I went in here to get a good deal on tires, complete amature hour. I said screw it and went to a different discount tire in Sugar Land hwy6, and was dealt like an mature adult. Found the perfect deal there, the place was packed with customers which tells you exactly why and yet they got to my car in no time and I was out of there. When you walk-in, they will do everything to make sure you get the best deal not like these rookies running the counter. Therefore, in my opinion, unless you have a nail or need to get pressure check, AVIOD this discount store and go to another one. read more

No two discount tire stores are alike. This store provided good service however they really had a hard time getting my brand new set of Michelin Premier A/S tires balanced. They tried twice and still couldn't get it right. I was pleased with my purchase until I drove to work the following day. When I hit about 60 mph, all four tires vibrated excessively. I just bought them and they were out of balance. After work the following day, I returned to the same store and they rebalanced the tires again. They confirmed that the tires were out of balance but were now re-calibrated and properly balanced. I thought great. I am back in business. The next day my wife and I drove to Fredericksburg Texas for Oktoberfest. As soon as I got on I-10 east from Houston, I felt a slight vibration in all four tires. After about 200 miles of a bumpy ride I pulled into San Antonio. Spent the night and first thing in the morning I drove to the Discount Tire store (Hill Country Village) off of 281. I was the first one in the door when they opened. I explained my issue and they checked all four tires and found that they were indeed still out of balance. That I already knew. They did a complete investigation and re-balance. Within 30 minutes I was out the door. The best part was no more vibrations. They had properly balanced the tires, something that the Houston Grand Parkway store could not. This made the remainder of our 400 mile trip so much more enjoyable. I have been a customer of Discount Tire for many years on multiple cars. Never have I had this issue from a single store. The nice thing about the San Antonio store is that they called to follow-up with me. The Richmond store did never did. No two stores are the same. Tip; Buy your tires or have them balanced first thing in the morning after this Discount Tire calibrates their balancing machines. Apparently the machines get out of balance towards the end of the day. read more

With an appointment, I still waited over 45 minutes. Yes, there were other people ahead of me with appointments but not the ones that came in the store after me. The day before I came by and made the appointment since it was a two hour wait. I think this is the longest I've ever had to wait for having an appointment only to get a balance and rotation. read more

Love Discount Tires! They always take care of me! Best customer service and I never feel hussled!

I had brought 4 tires from Discount Tires last year and it was time to rotate them. I barely got out of the car and the service technician was already out of the store to greet and help me. I told him what I needed and we walked inside to do the paperwork. He told me it will take 45 minutes, so I went got a seat and read my magazine at the waiting area. The waiting area was big, clean, and bright. Free coffee and water for the customers. After about 15 minutes, a service technician went around the waiting area and passed out bottled water to everyone. After another 15 minutes, a service technicain called my name and the car was at the front door, ready to go. This was the best service I ever had at any tire stores, other Discount Tires included. read more

Before I even got to the front door I was greeted by Ross -a very friendly young man who was quite knowledgeable in my car and it's needs! Miles the manager came to verify I had been taken care of as I waited in the lobby as did another young lady who offered me coffee or water. Then we got to my tires-I admit I was way overdue ! No one made me feel embarrassed by the shape of my tires (I was tho they were in bad shape!) and everyone made me feel very comfortable with my purchase! I would suggest this location to anyone looking for tires ! read more

My only complaint is that the online appointment tool is a JOKE! You pull in and tell them your appointment time; they confirm it; and then put you into the first come first served queue. So, my appointment was at 8:15 for a tire rotation and I am told there are three ahead of me. The earliest appointment is 8:00 so there could not be three appointments ahead. Had a nail in the tire but was fortunate because of the warranty. Each person I spoke with was extremely polite and they got me in and out quickly. Will continue to go back to this Discount Tire and recommend them to anyone. One tip-don't go on Saturdays if at all possible, there is usually a line out the door. read more

I've had decent service in the past but there must have been a change in management or staff. I pulled up to get my tire pressure checked and normally someone walks up in seconds to at least acknowledge they saw me pull up. This time I waited for 10 minutes and finally called the store (didn't want to take my two kids out of the car) and the sent someone out to check. The guy who did the check discovered a nail in my tire and told me it would take about 20 minutes to get me in and out with a patch. I walked in to give them my keys and a different man told me it would be 45 minutes to an hour. An hour later my car hadn't even been pulled into a car port. Yet another employee told me it would be an ADDITIONAL 45 minute wait because they had appointments and were sending people to lunch. Meanwhile I watched people come in after me and get their cars in and out while I waited. Maybe they prioritize certain customers over others but they could at least be honest about the wait...especially when they see a customer with small children come in. read more

Employee states that the 2 new tires that I purchased would be place on either front or rear. Came to pick up my car around closing time noticed that the new tires were both place on the passenger side. Had to come back the next day only to wait for several hours for them to correct the problem. All of this after coming in,ordering the tires, and having no on contact me to tell me that the tires had arrived. Only found out that they were there after having to call in myself two days later read more

Went here to get my air checked pulled up to the check air station waited for 5 mins know one said will be with you shortly just kept me waiting I leave and I see an employee in the parking lot and ask what I needed to do to get air he tells me pull up to the station they will be with you shortly I said I've been waiting and nobodies helped me yet so do I need to park and wait he said no it shouldn't be that long were just busy I can understand if your busy but at least tell me you will be with me shortly so I'm not just sitting there thinking somebody's going to help they need a better system the service suck I will not return to this one again read more

I also had an unusually negative experience during my last interaction with the store management. Almost everything that could be done dissatisfactory was done so. Starting with the online order on the tires I had selected not being ready on the installation day, management steering me toward buying a different brand, that brand being short in supply on the day of installation, not honest handling of the promised discount and finally misguiding on my request to clear the maintenance alarm related to tire rotation schedule. I hope at least the workmanship was good - will need to see. read more

I have always loved the customer service at Discount Tire but today they exceeded my 5 star expectation. On our way out of town for birthday girls weekend we pulled in there just to check the tire pressure. The manager had pulled our car right in and took the tire off to dunk one to see if it had a leak. It didn't but the extra mile and the concern for our safety on a long car ride was amazing!! We went to discount to have a flat fixed. When the tech was working on my truck some how when they opened my door they accidentally broke the door handle. We informed them of what happened and they said to take it and get it looked at. When it was all said and done they took care of the repair. Young lady (Jennifer)had very little knowledge. Asked for two new rear tires and she measures fronts. My husband and I both asked for the two front tires to be switched and that wasn't done. She charged for a used tire for the spare and then didn't not write down on ticket. She said total service would take 45min but turned into over 1 1/2 hour. I had school at 10 and my mom had work at 9, as she was driving she noticed the PTMS symbol (I think). And we were panicking not knowing where to go, I asked Autozone, and they told me to go to Discount Tire! And it's my first time, so I asked a pretty woman name Viktoria? She's awesome! The appointment tool appears to be a waste of time. When you arrive at the store you discover it is first come, first serve. I waited for almost an hour and a half for my car to go in (on a Tuesday during the day). After discovering my punctured tire couldn't be repaired, I purchased a new one which they balanced and put on. I drove 9 miles home to discover that a minimum of 3 of the weights had fallen off. The following week I coordinated with the manager, Derek, to get the tire rebalanced without waiting. Well thats what I thought at least. When I arrived I asked for him as instructed and then proceeded to wait ten minutes while he worked on a "printer problem" in the office. While I was a satisfied, repeat Discount Tire customer in another state unless you have time to waste and want shoddy work I'd go elsewhere. read more

I guess when you set up an appointment and specify exactly what tires you want doesn't matter to Discount Tire. Sent my son to get the two new tires and my total price was 135 dollars more than my email confirmation stated. I guess they decided to give my son tires that were more expensive and also add insurance to the two other tires that didn't have it. Why bother going online?? Not happy at all. Took my car in because one tire was low, thought I had a nail. One of the guys said no nail but two pin holds and not sure how they got them and couldn't be fixed, I needed a new tire and should get a warranty on all of them some $500. The guy said he had my tire in stock and could have it on right away. Then I talked to the guy at the computer he said no they didn't have my tire and would have to it. I called Acura to see if my tires already had a warrant on them and they did. Took my car to Acura dealer and I did have two nails in the tire and could be fixed. It seems they had a service guy who was after a commission at my expense. So now this discount tire is off my list because of one guy that lied. The other guys I talked to seemed honest and little upset that I was told they had my tire. We used Discount Tires on I-10 near Mason Rd in Katy for years and they were always straight forward with us. You just can't lie with social media around. read more
