It was a worse experience with this location. I made the appointment online a week ago. They called me and told me tire i selected it is not available. I was driving, so I told I will call back changing tire. When I called back after half an hour they said , they cancel my appointment, because the tire i selected was not available. Amazing experience!! I ordered my tires and made an appointment online. Parking in their lot was almost impossible--you may need to park in the Taco del Mar lot. Other than waiting for a customer having a bad morning because he just found out his parts were being shipped from CA, I waited maybe a total of five minutes (drop-off and pick-up combined). I've always purchased my tires at Costco, but the Northgate Discount Tire is much closer and their service is impeccable. It only took them 30 minutes to install four tires. During this time of unexpected shipping delays and staffing shortages, I was blown away with how smoothly everything went. If you have a SUBARU, do not go here for a tire rotation or new tires in general. I got off the phone and apparently there guns when taking off the bolts are too strong and chances of your lug nut being stripped is very likely. They told me they don't even have the repair kit or extra bolt to replace on that day. They then told me to go to a BS autoshop that is making me wait 2 weeks and no loaner car available. You're better off going to a Subaru store and paying that $15.00 then to deal with this BS. read more

The customers service was remarkable, especially compared to other tire stores (especially Costco, where I had a bad experience). It was easy to book an appointment, and I was surprised how quick the installation occurred (30 mins compared to the 2 hours at Costco). As I saw there waiting, I saw how the representatives were all attentive and seemed to genuinely care about each customers' concern, and were patient and yet efficient despite how busy it was. The tires themselves were a great deal, lowest price I could find (same as Costco but without the cost of membership). Did a fine job and the staff was very supportive and honest when it came to picking a tire. Unfortunately when they drove my van back into the parking lot they parked it on a part with an incline and set the parking brake. The person who drove it back did not tell me that and I didn't notice they set the brake (it's not an obvious handbrake) and I wondered why it was so stiff/hard to back out. upon putting it into drive the rear of my van made awful noise, and everyone working there turned to look. I drove it outta the deeply inclined hill driveway outta the lot, and then I noticed the parking brake was on. Not really a big deal, not related to their tire service, and I suppose it's my derpy fault for not noticing the brake was on, but it'd be nice if they informed you it was set before you took off on a steeply inclined parking lot where your transmission has to work harder fighting against the parking brake if it's on. These guys are great, just maybe don't let them park your car if you're like me and don't use the parking brake much or forget to look at it lol. read more

2and half years ago store error ended with our extra experience. I was charged $130 for the replacement of the both front tires Yesterday. When I got to check the tire air pressure after the tire warning lamp was on. The customer service representative check the all tires and he told us, front and back tires size are different. For the safety, he recommended us to change both of the front tires to the same size of back tires. We bought all 4 tires at this Discount tire Northgate in December 2018. We did not go anywhere outside of Washington state after that. This is completely store's error. Why tire professional load wrong size of tires in 2018? Why we have to pay extra? Although this location is extremely busy, the staff are courteous, detail oriented, and professional. Recently, I brought my car in to have a sensor replaced. It was cold, wet, dark, and the line of customers almost out the door. Something went wrong with the sensor replacement, and I had to bring the car back right away. Discount put me at the head of the queue, and went through 2 more sensors before the problem was fixed. Again, they were quick but thorough, and solved the problem. I have come to this location for decades, always buying the best tires available for my vehicles. Today I pulled into the lot to buy new tires. There was a guy in the street yelling as I was reading my tire size. As it turns out he was yelling at me and it took a few seconds before I realized. He told me I'm not allowed to park where I parked. I promptly moved my vehicle to an adjacent parking lot. Last summer, I bought two new Continental tires for my RWD Lexus, and had great service with them. Super professional, knowledgeable and courteous staff. Recently, I noticed one of my tires was deflating, and saw that there was a nail in one of my new tires! I researched on my own how to fix a nail in the tire, but wasn't sure if I could fix it myself based on the placement of the nail (It looked like it was between repairable/non-repairable range of the tire). I decided to make an appointment with Discount Tires, and brought my car back to the same Northgate location, where I had previously purchased my tires. I figured they would know better than me, either repairing the tire, or replacing the tire if non-repairable under my new tire warranty. They ended up fixing the tire in 15-20 minutes, FOR FREE! I bought 4 tires online and prepaid. Originally had my appointment scheduled later in the week, but figured I'd call to see if they could accommodate me sooner. They had a slot open and had me come in a day early! This worked out better timing wise for me. Everyone was great and service was absolute. Waited in the lobby for about 25-30 minutes, which was okay since it was a busy time. This was my first time patronizing Discount Tire, and it won't be my last. I've been a Discount Tire customer at the Northgate location for years. Several times I've brought tires that I bought there that have picked up a nail or whatever and got them repaired at no charge! Fantastic! Today I brought in a car I haven't had very long that had a slow leak in one of the tires. I obviously hadn't bought the tires there so I was prepared to pay for the repair. Well guess what? Again, no charge!!! They didn't try to tell me the tires were too worn or anything like that. I really, really appreciate having a business that I can trust to treat me fairly! Prompt service, friendly people, but they caused (minor) damage to my car that they have not managed to resolve. After I got home from my service, I noticed a hub cap missing. I called them and they said it could have popped off on its own due to cold weather (4 year old car, that has never happened) and that they would take care of it. After months of back and forth on the phone, with me checking up on it, they say the hub cap had arrived. I come in, and it's the wrong type. It doesn't fit on my wheel at all. They said they'd get back to me with the right one and they never did, so I gave up on that. I also noticed a grinding/washboard sound coming from the front of the car when backing up and turning my steering wheel all the way to the left. Checked it out, and it looked like a lower part of the left corner of the front bumper was now detached and hanging due to a missing fastener. It's sort of a plastic flap thing. The tire was now contacting it, and had actually grinded through it by the time I noticed this the next day. So now I have to take care of it with a hose clamp. These guys are hasty and don't care about your car, and won't meet you half way in fixing the problems they caused. Go elsewhere. read more

I pulled into the parking lot with a flat tire, and one of the 'tire busters' came running, yes running, over to grab the tire and take it inside for me. I went inside and washed my hands, and was surprised how clean the washrooms were, compared to most car service areas. The sink was literally gleaming. The staff at the desk were even more courteous than usual, taking time to come and look over my vehicle to ensure there were no other issues. When I returned, the tire was repaired, the spare tire had been neatly put away in its stowing location, and the jack and tools returned to their place. And, as per the usual policy, all this was for *free* because I'd bought the tires there. There are so many businesses these days who are forgetting what real customer service is, but they clearly have customer service front and center. read more

I don't drive like a crazy woman so I keep my tires in good shape, except maybe for my rims... street parking can be tough on an easily stressed out person like me... but anyway. You can easily book an appointment online and they are very accommodating. They also tell you that it'll take 45 minutes to rotate your tires, but in reality, they're done in about 20. I love that I can also venture to the mall while they get it done. They are definitely reliable and super helpful.
