So, I hate giving bad reviews, but did NOT have a good experience here today! Had a leaky REAR LEFT tire needed fixing. I CLEARLY stated that at check in...twice! After an hour and a half wait, they come out with receipt and as he hands it to me he says, "REAR RIGHT tire checked out fine.". Of course it checked out fine: YOU CHECKED THE WRONG TIRE! To their credit (why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1), he did apologize profusely and got my car back in quickly. Made my appointment online for rotation and balance. Even though the advisors were swamped when I arrived, they handled the line waiting very well. The store manager was also very visible. Came in at 4:15 pm to get 2 new tires which I knew I needed. Checked in at the curb & they sent an associate out within 5 minutes to look at my tires. David got me my new Yokohama's with no time to waste & nicely let me know my wait time of 1.5 hours. The inside of the store was super AC but I Corona-quarantined myself outside for an hour. I then went back inside and listened for better cars to hopefully try to drive off in but then just took my actual Kia about an hour and 15 minutes later at 5:30. read more

So I bought tires from this specific location. 4 months down the line, i come in to get them rotated and the guy at the desk tells me he can't rotate them because one of my tires has no tread on it because I was doing donuts and he could tell. (Which I don't even know how to do haha.) Also I would need to buy a new tire. I drove 5 minutes down the street to a different discount tires, told them what this one said and they took care of my car with no problem. I went to Costco to get my slow leak tire repaired. They said they wouldn't touch it because I had 3 tires that were the same and 1 different. They told me 3 of them were non flat or something? Well I went to Discount the next day and they told me that my back tires were in good condition but the front tires were going to need replaced soon. I asked him about the non flat tires and he said they were not. So I just replaced 2 tires and they were done in less than 1 hour (on a Saturday). So happy with Discount and they will be my "go to" from now on. read more

ABOVE AND BEYOND CUSTOMER SERVICE! I dropped my car off in the AM and headed to work. I lost total track of time, missed a couple of calls from Discount letting me know my car was ready, and they close at 6pm. I didn't notice this until 6:05pm, called and got the voicemail, and raced over hoping I could get my car out somehow. As I pulled up at 6:15pm, well passed close, everything was shut and locked up and 3 employees were waking to their cars clearly exhausted from a tough, full Saturday (6/10/23) work. I pulled up as they were getting in their cars and apologized for being so late. Not only had they locked my car up in one of the docking stations to make sure my car was secure but they happily opened everything back up through the shop and pulled my car out for making sure I was happy with everything. That level of customer service that goes beyond the clock-in, clock-out requirement of their jobs was impressive and actually gave me some relief at the end of a long, busy day. I believe the managers name was Jerry and I hope this shout out makes it to him and his team that were there that night who delayed getting home for me, a late customer. read more

Will never do wheel/tire business anywhere else. This store has replaced my and my wife's tires for years (I collect cars and buy tires once or twice a year. Recently I took this location a set of cobra wheels for road force balancing, the place was so busy in the morning I frankly didn't have much faith I was being listened to or taken seriously as this was a specialty set of wheels. Within hours I was notified my wheels were done, they did a great job, I got to talk to the tech Jerry who understood what I was needing and was a car guy himself, they didn't even charge me... couldn't believe it. I needed tires for my car and was told that they would have to be ordered for the next day around noon to be installed in the afternoon. When I called to check on the tires around noon the next day I was told they were not there and that it could be as late as 6pm. I called back at 2:30pm and was told that the tires had arrived but could not be installed for 4 or more hours because I would be treated as a walk-in even though I had ordered the tires a full day before. Very poor customer service and no concern by the person I talked to about the inconvenience. It was like this event was an everyday occurrence. Sad response. read more

Actually had a great experience here. Replaced both rear tires. Did not have a appointment, however, was helped very quickly. They gave me three different choices of tires, with prices and warranty. They were very informative and did not pressure me into anything. Gave me options and they took care of everything. One of tires decided to collect a nail and screw in an attempt to clean up a road. I took my truck to Discount Tires (Bell and Sunrise in Surprise) at 08:45 thinking I'm going to be here for a few hours (the consequences for showing up unannounced LOL). Anthony took my information and proceeded to evaluate the situation. About 5 minutes later he informed me it will take about an hour to get me back on the road. I noticed they pulled my truck into the bay, I walked out to take a look and the person working on it showed me the nail and screw. About 15 minutes later ((total time to complete about 25 minutes) my truck was ready for the road. They fixed a flat for me. When they put the full size spare back in my trunk they broke the Masonite cover in half and broke the screw plate that secures it in place. Apparently they did not know how to replace a spare and just tried to force it in. The least they could have done was let me know that they destroyed my spare cover and the screw down plate. I have used this location twice so far, the 1st time was to hopefully patch a hole in my tire,luckily they were able to do and at no charge even though my tires were not purchased there nor had I had any previous service there before. The 2nd time was just a couple weeks ago for new tires (4) on my sons car. Great service, competitive pricing, job was completed in the quoted time (about 1-1/2 hr) on a Saturday! Living in the desert has it advantages (low cost of living, no snow, you can carry guns, great pizza etc) but it also has its disadvantages (higher electric bills, car tires and batteries don't last worth a shit, scorpions etc). Tires and batteries last about 2-3 years on average due to the extreme "living on the sun" type heat we have here. It was time for some new tires for my wifes CRV. She ordered them online, paid for them and then scheduled an appointment for Saturday morning. Woke up Saturday morning, and totally forgot about the appointment! We called Discount Tire and told them of our dilemma, and they said to just bring the car in whenever we could, and they should be able to get us taken care of pretty quick. I drove down, checked in and took a seat. It took a little bit of time (probably about an hour) for them to get to my car, but once they did, they installed the tires and had everything ready in about 20 minutes. I thought it was actually going to take longer than it did. Props to them for getting us taken care of so fast! Prices were good, service was friendly and I was very happy with my experience here. They have a comfy waiting room with free bottles of water and they are also right next to Culvers if you want something to eat while you wait. Odds are, that when I need new tires on my Corolla, I will be coming here to get them. read more

I've done business at this discount tire for at least 3 years . That's just including myself . My family members have also been coming here over the years . I've never once had a problem with this location until recently . I brought in my 2016 Toyota Corolla & let the technician know that the wheel had a nail in it . I was offered a free tire repair but then found out that the tire was "irreparable" and that the tire would need to be replaced. After deciding what tire I would like to use & letting them know I go on my way . A few minutes go by & I get a phone call. Now I'm being told my whole rim & tire were "unfixable" & that I would need to buy a replacement rim . Mind you a replacement being $600 & that's not including the tire . Here's where the real problem starts. The rim that needed to be replaced "so badly " was indeed dented but not in a way you couldn't use it . We had previously brought our vehicles to Firestone & they would always get the job done. The wheel would work fine , wouldn't lose air or anything . But now the technician is 100% sure it's not holding air & it's gonna need to be replaced . After, he explains it might not be holding air now because of driving on low tire pressure & bending the rim even more . That was a good enough explanation for me , I just wanted to get my car back ! So he lets me know he'll be placing the order & it should be here within 2 or 3 days . After a week and a few days waiting for a call from discount I decide to call to check on the status . Literally nobody there knew what I was talking about . I had the attendant check all of my accounts to see if an order had been placed for any one of them since he couldn't find it . He said he couldn't find anything & that this was the first he's heard about it . AFTER A WHOLE WEEK+ OF WAITING . Meaning the technician who originally helped me out who I believe is " Anthony" had me go through multiple phone calls , going around in circles , just to NEVER PLACE THE ORDER . They can say whatever they want but it is so obvious that they just forgot to place the order plain as day . So I call back the next day & then I'm told that they did place the order but the wrong wheel came in. If that was the case why didn't they call me & let me know it's gonna take longer then expected because the wrong wheel was sent , or why did they have me wait a week before any action was taken? Mind you I had to call them instead of the other way around . If you tell me it's gonna take 2-3 days then you obviously know shipping times aren't that slow . So they obviously completely forgot . Now I'm being told the correct wheel will be here Friday . It's now Friday . I called this morning & tried to find out if the wheel had arrived . NOPE! Now it's supposed to be here on Monday . As I'm saying thank you the phone is hung up in my face . This is absolutely ridiculous. It's like I have to do their jobs for them. It's not hard to do the customer service part of the job . It's not all wrench turning, you have to be able to work with your customer well. The customer service here just isn't what it used to be & the upper management of this location needs to retrain their employees . I'm now trying to figure out my transportation for work etc since I've been driving on a spare for the past 150 miles even though your only supposed to drive on them for around 50 miles !! Now my safety is at risk because my only means of transportation for the time being is relying on a spare that's been overused . You'd think after doing business here for so many years that things would be handled differently . Something changed about this location , making them money hungry & not actually wanting to give proper support . Treat your loyal customers better !! Otherwise they're not gonna be so loyal . Hate to write a mediocre review about DTC because I used to work for the company and it is a great company. Learned a lot and was given a lot of opportunities to be successful.. with that being said: they can be better then what I saw during my last visit. I made an appointment to get my tires rotated and balanced on my truck. I always tell them there's no need to rebalance the tires because I know it's going to always vibrate a little. Straight roto should be quick and easy. Got to my appointment 10 minutes early, checked in and waited an HOUR before my truck was even pulled in. Don't understand why there are so many appointments promised every hour when it's not possible to make good on that promise. Once my vehicle was pulled in it was done in about 10 minutes which one would argue is long for a straight rotation. My biggest frustration is the fact my air pressure was not reset. So now my TPMS light is on and I have to go back and sit in that lovely air check line that is always dang near wrapped onto Bell road. I have to waste my time again and sit in another DTC line waiting for something that should've been done in the first place if proper work flow was followed (crew chief I'm talking to you). Again I love DTC and will always come here for my tire needs I just wish some pride was shown in the work being performed. Took my car to this business. Got two different results. First day I had an appointment was in and out of the door in 20 minutes. Second day had an appointment but was about 20 minutes late they decided to make me a regular walk-in and told me that it would take an hour and a half to get my car. Yeah I was amazed. I couldn't believe this here I'm standing and a gentleman walks in 10 minutes after me and he leaves probably 45 minutes before me I thought that was quite amazing. DISCOUNT TIRE, 16131 w Bell Rd, Surprise, AZ 85374 I scheduled on line, a 'FREE' tire rotation and rebalance for my car for Friday 08/02/19 at 3 pm which was supposedly the least busy time of the day. I arrived a bit early and the place was crowded and extremely busy. I was greeted immediately by a Michael Elliott. He could not find my appt. It turns out I had booked the appt. for a different location. Grrrrr. He explained to me that he would try to get it done for me today but if not he would come back to me and would re-schedule for another day. He took my keys, I showed him where my car was on the lot, I had taken the last parking spot. The next thing I knew was that it was 3:40pm and my car was done!!!! This was a FREE service I was amazed. Excellent service is hard to find nowadays but they outdid them selves. I was sooooo pleased and would definitely refer them to anyone. read more

Had an appointment, checked in and waited 15 mins before someone came to my car. Was told I'm number 1 in line and the next car out I will replace. 5 cars have since come and gone and I'm still sitting here 45 mins past my appt time. I need a tire rotation, which takes little time. I go in to ask what's going on and was shown a long list of cars with appts ahead of me. Explained what I was told and in return was given "sorry," with no real explanation. The time on my check in was 16 mins after I checked in, so I asked about that and was told that the check in time doesn't start when you check in, it starts when they come talk to you. So now I'm behind 16 mins. Was also told the point of an appt is you get in/out within 1-1.5 hours, nope appt is clearly 2-3. read more

I don't leave a lot of reviews but we always go to this Discount Tire location because they are the best at everything! We had to go to the one in Scottsdale because we needed tires today and they were the only place that had them in stock. Being there reminded me how much better "ours" is in Surprise!! Over the past 15 years we have taken all our cars (7) there and they always have the best prices and customer service. They don't try to trick you into buying the road hazard (like the other place) they pull the car up to you (not make you go look around in three lots like the other place) they talk to you and let you know what the old tires looked like and let you know how it went (not just give you the keys and take your money and say see ya like the other place) They always look for the best price and they don't pressure you to get stuff you don't want. Ask for Luke, he's the best!! There is only one kinda grumpy older service guy but everyone else is really great!! But they are all honest and down to earth.
