I have gone to this location repeatedly. I have to say I haven't been the greatest customer at times but only because money is tight. That being said, I brought my very old car in yesterday and without getting into the details, they yet again provided me with top-rate customer service. If you want to see people work hard and efficiently and at least LOOK like they are having a good time (I think they actually are), watch these guys in the bays; it's like a well-choreographed performance. I am generally not a fan of chain stores, but if they are honest, provide personal service and do a great job, I feel they are in fact upholding the values I want to invest in. This is the tire store I always go to. They don't try to over sell. A little slow on the free air check, but they are always busy. So I understand, just be a little patient and it's worth the wait. John and his team did not hesitate to keep working on the car and even put on new sensors to make sure everything was working properly. I've been to a few tire shops in Tucson but I'll have to say I prefer Discount Tire. I moved to this area of town a few years ago so my last interactions have been at the Speedway location. All have been good experiences but today I had to make sure I shared how I felt. A few weeks ago I stopped by for a flat I got while working my side gig as a delivery driver. I work fulltime during the week and can't afford take time off. [New job] I called on my way from daycare to inquire if they were busy or did I have to make an appt? The gentleman took my call and proceeded to tell me, I'll put you in line, don't worry just come at such and such time and well take care of you, ETA for myself so I didn't have to wait long but would be done by 7. Mind you they close at 6. So I come casually after closing and realized I didn't hear the associates name. Welp, he came thru. Jorge was his name. He confirmed with his colleague about my phone call and I waited no more than 5 minutes before I was in the bay. I got anxious bc I didn't know where my wheellock was but he assured me. "We have one, we got you!" To some it may be simple but as someone who is independent and doesn't expect handouts.... I felt like dang, I feel spoiled. I'm sure everyone wants to get home but they all had great attitudes, they're always real friendly and just the environment is one I'd want to work at and do business with. On a road trip, returning to Phoenix from Sierra Vista, the TPMS light came on and had a right front tire blowout on Route 90. After AAA came out to put spare tire on, decided to search for the closest Discount Tire upon arrival to Tucson area. This one popped up and took the SUV there. Chase saved the day! Continental tires are expensive. I purchased two, as they were very well worn, but then found a nail in a third after driving home from Discount Tire. I basically went "bananas," but decided to order two more tires anyway. Chase calmly took it upon himself to try to help me out. He did some investigation and determined that my tire with the nail was still under warranty. Needless to say, I was thrilled to pieces! I think Chase is just great. Beyond Chase, I am impressed with the rest of the operation as well. They actually have humans answering their phones and my appointments are always prompt. I even recall rolling in to have a tire pumped at 6:05 pm (after closing) and receiving, efficient professional service without leaving my vehicle. In sum, I highly recommend this store for their outstanding customer service. This used to be my favorite place to get tires - we had a good business relationship. But that was before the company hired an unethical salesman who thinks customers are dumber than he apparently is and a tech who does a half-assed job. Soon after I last bought 4 new tires from them I brought the car to the dealership for an oil change and the tech mentioned that 13 of the 20 lugs were not properly tightened - of that - 3 were sticking out - 1 severely. // shame on me for not noticing // shame on discount tire for a poor quality job. After approximately 15 years of bringing them business I am shown awful service for simple work and will not be returning ever again. All this showed to me is that my money and loyalty as a long-standing and continuous customer means nothing to them. read more

After doing some research on Yelp, I went into Discount Tires to schedule an appointment to get my tires rotated and one checked for a leak. When I walked in the store was pretty busy and the lady in line next to me commented on that fact and said that it was always like that every time she came in; and weren't we in the right place? Why yes, nice line lady, I do believe we were. I made an appointment to have my tires rotated and that pesky one checked for a leak the next day. I show up the next morning and it's just the same, busy and pleasant. One of the workers took me to my car, measured my tires, etc. You see I moved from out of state and hadn't bought my tires there. About 20 minutes later, the technician that worked on my car walked me out to it and told me that they rotated the tire and checked two of the tires for leaks with a water bath. They couldn't find any. He handed over my keys. I said but don't I need to pay? He replied that it looks like not! Really? Realy!!!!!!! How great is that? I didn't buy my tires there, and they still rotated and checked two of them for free!!!!! Amazing. I'll definitely be coming back when I need new tires. :-) read more

This is one of the best locations discount has I went in on Tuesday with a screw in my back tire and needed for it to be fixed . I also was looking for new tires since my two front tires were so bad , Cameron assisted me with choosing the right tires for my vehicle he compared a few to the originals I had on there and explained to me the difference on each . Wow this was a great experience!! I came in to get a new rim as my old one had a broken tire valve stem and the person who tried to fix it broke it more. I was also looking to set up a future appointment to get a set of tires. After only 5 minutes of talking with miguel he set me up with a plan for them to fix my current broken rim, and put on a full set a tires as to whatever my current budget was. It was great to tell he was working with me to get me the best deal and get my car in top condition. I ended up with a full set of tires and fixed rim tire balance and rotation for $10 under my budget!!! Fixed a flat here two years ago. Noticed a slow leak out of the same tire about a month back. Took it in and showed it to them. They inspected it and found out the patch was actually leaking. They apologized and offered to replace the tire for free! Great service and they stand by their work, even after 2 years. read more

I came in today when it was super busy, but I was greeted immediately by Greg. He told me the wait was an hour and a half to patch a tire. I had some errands to run so it didn't bother me at all! I asked how much it would be and was surprised to hear my service would be free. These guys work very hard in their black uniforms in this Arizona heat, so I grabbed the group some drinks and snacks. my service tech waiting 1 hr 30 for a tire rotation. that never took place. we waited so long we had to leave. this was unacceptable. i called to speak with a mgr and someone addressed himself as such. but then tryed to turn the call over to an actual mgr. not ok! we will be taking our vehicle to firestone where we can get in & out quickly. very poor service . read more
