The customer service here is unreal. I walked in the door and there were a few people in front of me. They still acknowledged me right away, thanked me for coming in, and told me they'd be with me shortly. I was told that by two employees before I was helped and it was still prompt. Then I went to the service desk to ask about getting a full new set of tires and Miguel asked me for my name and shook my hand, asked me about my car and what I usually use it for, asked me for my budget, and gave me options accordingly. Amazing customer service. Called lots of tire shops and all them gave me issues except discount which went out of their way to help me get a new tire on for a price I could afford. Didn't realize they were closing in 10 minuets but they still helped me out while other tire shops that closed in 2-3 hours were already telling me how they're too busy and might not be able to get my tires on by today. I became familiar with this chain in the summer of 2014, in Redwood City, CA. Halfway on a three-month, six-state West Coast road-trip, I had American Tires (the local Discount store) install four Michelin tires on my 2007 Camry. The tires were well priced, installed promptly, and drove great. When I returned to RC from Seattle, my tires were examined, rebalanced, and rotated by American Tires at no charge. Last year, prior to another California road-trip, I had the same tires reexamined by Discount Tire on Speedway, where they were rotated, rebalanced, and pronounced AOK for another 30,000-plus miles. No charge for the service, though I tipped the individual serviceman 'cause he was on it. I believe the Discount chain to be currently Tucson's most reliable and economical source for quality tires and follow-up service. read more

I bought my tires at a different location and am glad that they do balancing and rotations for life. I made an appointment for 3:30pm and had to wait a little bit in line before being helped. Once assisted he said it would be about 30-45 minutes since I had an appointment. It was right around 30 minutes. It was refreshing to have water to drink while I waited. Stopped in to have the air pressure checked on my tires. I saw the lot and bays were full so I expected a wait. I parked and walked towards the front desk but never even made it that far before one of the friendly guys (I think his name was Alec) asked me what I needed and I told him just a air pressure check. He had me pull my car up and got me a cold water bottle while I waited for the service in my vehicle.. I saw over the top service. The tire she needed was not available in this location. The sale man, I think it was Frank or Fred, offered to drive her to another Discount store where they would balance the tires at no additional charge and she could go on her way. First time ever buying tires for a car so naturally I was stressed about the deals and how knowledgable I should be etc etc. I actually called this location by accident (meant to call a closer location) but Chase (Assistant Manager) answering just sounded so relaxed and welcoming so I started chatting with him and decided I felt very comfortable coming in. All he needed was my car make and model! He knew just what size tire I needed. Came in around 9am (it was busy) If you aren't a patient person I recommend making an appointment. I personally didn't care about the 1hr wait. There is AC, comfy chairs, water and coffee. Jeremy assisted me with the transaction and was just a great guy about it. These guys all seem like they enjoy/take pride in their work! Weird right!? I definitely recommend this place. The price didn't bother me and the tires look and feel great on my heap of a car. Alright faithful readers! Most of my Millions of followers will scorn me for straying from my usual restaurant reviews...but in this case, I've got to let the world know!!! I have been trying to fix up my 1997 Toyota Corolla for the past ...year or so? It isn't going very well since it seems I haven't the skills to do so! I've carefully replaced the starter, front bumper, headlight and more. The tires, however, I know I cannot repair. I began to shop around and found that the going rate on a pair of cheap tires for s small car is about $160. Now this does include warrantee. which far exceed any of my driving needs and more importantly, I don't have to learn how to put a tire on a rim or balance it. I called the fellas at Discount Tire and got a quote that was oddly no lower than any of their competitors. I would've expected their price to be lower as they are THE DISCOUNT TIRE COMPANY! This is the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. They must've had 20+ cars in the shop getting work done and it didn't shake a single worker. They were quickly and happily handling customers, changing tires and getting it DONE! I was helped on the phone by a super friendly and knowledgeable fellow named Miguel. He knew exactly what I needed and of course he did try to sell me the best tires they carried. I was far more interested In their cheapest. I went down there, waited in a rather long line for a rather short time. These men and women just knew how to do it. They even fit in nice, polite banter while quickly getting people out of line and out the door. A knowledgable customer service fellow explained what was going on, how long it would take and advised us to pay up front so we could just grab the car and go when we returned. So we paid up and went to lunch. Before our entrees had even hit the table, I got w text from Discount Tire informing me that my car was ready and could be picked up as soon as I was ready. So we took time eating our lunch and went back to pick up. Just as the guy said, we just walked over, found him, got the keys and went home. I have been here more than I would like since I moved to Tucson but I must say every time I go I leave thinking wow, that was faster than the post office. I have been using discount tire for years and no matter where I go they always give great service. I have had prematurely worn tires that have been replaced for free and for little out of pocket cash. Went in to have a slow leak fixed. Not only did they fix it faster than promised, they didn't charge for it! And they weren't even their tires--they were original equipment Toyota tires! I mean, c'mon, who does that?? I've used them several times in the past, and they've earned a life-long customer. It's a business model I would like to see everywhere (hah!). Oh, and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was told by Toyota I only had 2,000 miles left on the tread. Discount measured the tread, inspected the tires, and said they were fine. I was fully expecting to buy a new set, and they turned down a probable sale, to be honest with a customer. Discount tires has never disappointed me on both tire prices and services. You can always get the best deal on tires and if they don have it, they will get it. Everyone at every location has always been awesome and sweet. Recently I went in for a tire rotation. I called first and the service guy recommended an appt which I agreed since it was a free service and no one wants to do something they're not getting paid for. There was a pretty long wait today-- I was told 1 hr 45 mins, but by 2hrs I really had to leave-- blood sugar low, dog waiting to go out, had to be at an appointment in an hour. They were super busy, I overheard the worker tell a guy it was a two hour wait. I just needed air in my tires, I was told to wait in line and employee showed me where to start the line as there was one car already in area to get air. The employee that was doing the told me there was one car ahead of me, which was fine. The employee, left (break time). It took another 15mins for someone to even come over and help the car in front of me. Finally my turn. I asked the employee to look at my back tire and see if he noticed anything strange due to fact I have been losing air like crazy. He said sure no problem. He aired up three of my tires and took off (break time?). Next employee finished airing up my last tire and then said ok your done! Won't come back to this location! read more

The service was very good. They were super busy. I needed 1 tire as I had a tear in the sidewall. Jorge took care of me quickly with an in-expensive option for 1 tire $59.00. When I went back to have the new tire put on my car he mentioned that I really needed all new ones. This was probably true. He preresented me with new tire options for 4 which priced out around $600-$700 dollars. $129-$139 each. He skipped at least 10 -12 sets of tires that were much less expensive. He didn't even mention less expensive options. I was not prepared to spend $700 dollars. He was nice guy but tried to sell me high with no other options. read more

once again or twice or 3x again, these guys always come through. I lost a center cap on the Caprice and they replaced it at no charge plus the spare in the trunk since it didn't come with one. Then we had a bad month of road hazards. First the Eclipse ran over a large piece of cement on the road and bent the rim. We had another tire, but the rim had to be replaced so they sold us 2 rims of a diff kind to make it even. Then the Caprice ran over some kind of nail in the tire and it started losing air all of the time. They put the spare tire on the car at no charge. Then I ran over a cement nail from construction on the road and they said, "back again, what's wrong". . and I couldn't afford anything, so they replaced the tire that was unrepairable since the road hazard didn't cover the side that was too large of damage and covered the cost to the tune of about $55 for the tire. I still have to get another tire for the spare rim to match the others. read more
