I was a bit nervous going to a satellite tv service because several years ago we were with DirecTv and thought we would never change until our 5th year with them when the renter neighbor next door installed a DirecTv dish that completely blocked our signal and the technician there refused to move the dish they just installed, they wanted to move ours. That day, they lost of customer for good. We went back to cable which we hated but not going back to a company that turn their backs on us after 5 years (the renter was evicted), and new homeowner went with cable so DirecTv lost 2 customers within 5 months of time. I kept getting offers from DirecTv over the years but they gave us a bad taste of their customer service we wouldn't want to risk them again. I called and spoke to Scott at Sky Systems and even though it was almost closing time for him he spent over the time getting my husband and I signed up and set up for an install 2 days later. His installer Brad was very good and helpful to my husband and answered and helped with any questions and concerned he had and with the new remote. So glad we were recommended to Sky Systems. Work started at 9…read morea.m. In the beginning, the team gave the impression that they were going to drop wires from the attic through soffit vents down to cameras for most of the run beside the doorbell. One of the team members had to drive back for a ladder during the job. And both finished at 5pm 16 billable hours for a 5 runs vs 6 runs and paid full price. The worst part is I was under the impression that they (during booking and pre-install) would try their best to conceal wires, but the majority of wires ended up exposed and longer than necessary. Camera down to crawl space then back up exterior wall (next to downspout) through soffit vent into attic. Vs. camera up exterior wall into attic via soffit vent. I tried contacting the team to offer to pay more to have wires rerouted to no avail. The cameras work. I'm grateful for that.

Verizon has us as customers for life…read more Not only are they very helpful when us old geezers (usually my husband) can't figure out something tech-related, but they are oh so reasonable. We were already happy with our cell service by Verizon. Then our television and internet services ended their contracts with each other, so we had to change our internet provider. The one we chose first was a huge, huge mistake. I won't say which one. This post isn't about that mockery of a service, it's about Verizon, and Verizon helped us a lot. It pleased us very much to find out that in addition to cell phones and service, Verizon also provides internet. We've had it some time now, without a hitch. Very few service outages, and when they do happen, they are resolved quickly. Not only is their service faster AND less expensive than the one we erroneously chose the first time, but they also helped us offset the cancellation fees we had to pay in order to get rid of the mistake. Thank you, Verizon, and I only wish you provided television service in our area too.

I spent the first 10 minutes of my call screaming into the phone for that stupid computer to let me speak with a human. I should have kept track of all of the swear words I was calling that thing as it must have been one of them that finally offended the beast enough and it transferred me to a human. Unfortunately, Century Link gives as few tools as possible and even less information to the customer service reps they employ. The lady I spoke with was of so little help that I felt sorry for her. I can just imagine the horrible days these folks get to endure. The only people they get to speak with, day after day, week after week and so on are frustrated and angry. I would rather clean a septic tank with my own spoon and toothbrush than work as a customer service rep for Century Link. Bottom line is that in the end, the issue was not resolved.

I called Rainier Connect and after a couple of minutes talking with a technician he said since my wireless company was Century Link he couldn't help me and to call another number. I simply thought it was another department within Rainier Connect; wrong. It turned out to be Whisler Communications. Shane answered the phone and after I explained my problem; even though I am not a customer, he took over my computer and fixed the problem. Shane was professional, courteous, friendly, and in 10 minutes I was back up and running. I live in Scottsdale, AZ and will probably never use his company, but I would highly recommend his services to anybody who lives in his operating area.
