Came here recently for dinner. The entree was a bit lacking in balance, perhaps I ordered the wrong item without vegetables. Overall, the appetizers and drinks were good. But the main dish was underwhelming.

I've enjoyed DishDash's casual sister eatery, Dish N Dash, many times, but finally got around to trying this spot last month! My boyfriend and I dined in on a weeknight and made a reservation. It wasn't completely full but there was still a decent sized crowd for dinner. To start we shared the chicken shawarma hummus, which was excellent and super flavorful. The free bread they give you to start was also really tasty! The entree portions were way larger than I expected and we probably could have shared one plate, but at least we got to take home leftovers! I ordered the tabsi falafel and my boyfriend got the makloubeh with chicken. Both dishes were incredibly flavorful and had a variety of textures, which was great for someone like me who loves variety in a meal. I think I liked the flavor of the makloubeh just a bit more than the tabsi but both of them were great and I would eat both again. I'd also be interested in returning for some of the other dishes we didn't get to try this time. Service was friendly. We parked in a nearby lot and it was pretty busy in the evening (several cars circling for open spots).

Came here for lunch and service was good until big parties were seated next to us and we were forgotten about. Also you can't make any customizations to side orders, even for an up charge. Food was good, as usual. Plenty of seating inside and outside.

I remember coming here over 10 years ago and enjoying it so we decided to give it another shot since we were in the area. It did not disappoint! The portions were generous, the meat was absolutely cooked to perfection, and the food came out extremely quickly which was great since we were starving. Even though the restaurant was a full house, the service team was attentive. We definitely be back!

Very very solid spot. Price has definitely increased over the years, but still worth visiting. Extremely friendly staff, spacious interior, and solid food. FOOD: Babaghanouge (8/10) - My favorite cold appetizer here. Amazing flavor that goes perfectly with the bread Reyash (7/10) - Tender lamb rack but slightly salty. The sides do go well with it though. Would try again! Tikka Kebab (7/10) - Same as above, tender and cooked well but slightly salty again.

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon, right before the place got full. Everything tasted authentic and flavorful. Kibbeh was my favorite item. That was very flavorful and came hot. But one plate only had 2, which made it an expensive item. Beriani dajaj was my favorite entree here. It was a mild dish. Mansaf was a very similar dish. That was mild as well. Freekeh (young wheat) was flavorful.

Visited for weekday dinner with a friend, absolutely delicious eats! * Location: Murphy Ave - plenty of parking lots nearby & within short walking distance of Caltrain. * Seating: Great indoor seating & outdoor seating options (plus heated lamps for chillier evenings). * Service & Staff: Fantastic service from attentive staff from check-in all the way through post-meal. * Food: Everything was genuinely outstanding. Meal started with fluffy pita bread and tasty za'atar before the Muhammara (the molasses take it to a whole other level!!). Friend tried the Shish Taouk while I ordered the Bustan Salat. Tastes were fantastic for every dish, generous portions. Great dinner experience, would definitely recommend to others, & we'll be back!

I have tried DishDash couple of times. They have an amazing vegetarian Mediterranean options available. If you want to try fine dining for Mediterranean restaurants i would high recommend this place. They have amazing outside setting with fast service.

My husband and I are on the hunt for good Arab restaurants in the Bay Area since moving from Orange County. As a Palestinian American, I was excited to come across DishDash after an event nearby and decided to check it out. When we first walked in, I loved seeing the beautiful wall that highlights Palestinian culture. But once you step into the main dining space, the vibe shifts. It clearly caters more to a non-Arab audience. Not bad, just not what I was expecting based on the first impression. We ordered the combo kebab, the mezza for two, and the Za'taar with olive oil and bread. The bread was really good, and I had to pace myself to not get full off it. The Za'taar had a nice tang to it that I really liked. Both of us enjoyed the combo kebab, especially with the freekeh. The mezza was good, but the labneh was a little watery and the tabbouleh portion felt a bit small. Everything still tasted fresh. It's definitely on the pricier side, and you can tell it's aiming for more of a fine dining experience. The service was solid and we had no complaints. I just wish the cultural feel continued more consistently throughout the space because it would be nice to find a place that feels connecting to our culture!

Loved all the food we got here!! First tip: do NOT fill up on the pita and zaatar dip they bring to the table (and they will keep bringing more). Order some appetizers -- the muhammara and toum are fantastic -- and make sure you use your bread allotment there. But also, you might like the pita to soak up some of the tasty sauces the main entrees come with. Everything is so delicious. The grilled meats have that wonderful grilled flaovr. The sea bass and lamb shank were incredibly tender. I loved absolutely everything we got. For five adults, we got three dips (one was hummus with lamb shawarma so that's a little heavier of an appetizer I guess) and three big entree plates, and that was about perfect. We got one of each of the carb options: seasoned potatoes (very tender and flavorful, creamy gold potatoes), rice, and freekeh (good bite/chew to it compared to the rice). Enjoyed all of it. The servers are also super nice and kept checking on us, making sure our pita basket was filled and even brought us a spicy sauce (very good!). Definitely come here with others and eat it family style because the portions are big, and it would be a shame not to try a variety of their dishes.

Love love love! They offer indoor (full bar inside) and outdoor seating and the service was fantastic. Located right in downtown Sunnyvale. Offers a variety of Middle Eastern dishes and everything that we ordered was absolutely phenomenal. Mansaf - when mixed with freekeh, the flavor was amazing. Lamb was very tender. Combo Kebab - chicken and beef. Beef was well seasoned and chicken was also tender. Came with grilled brussels sprouts and 2 side sauces. Shawarma Hummus with lamb - pita bread was soft. A must try.

    PITA BREAD + ZA'ATAR DIP - Complimentary

WHEN: Sat @7pm I never come to Sunnyvale, so when my partner and I visited the SJ Made Little Shops Village, we knew we should eat somewhere. Dish Dash stood out as it was just a couple of blocks from the event, along with several other restaurants on a closed block. It was a lovely evening so we sat outside where they had heater lamps set up. Alex was our server who took great care of us, and here's what we ordered: PITA BREAD + ZA'ATAR DIP - Complimentary The dip was so interesting--Olive oil, sesame seeds and dried herbs. Really enjoyed pitting the pita in them. MAZA SAMPLER - For 2 - $23.50 Hummus, Babaghanouge, Tabouli, Khyar b'laban, Rihan, Muhammara, Falafel, Pickles & Olives. How fun and delicous! Definitely used the leftover pita bread from the complimentary appetizer for these fun "sauces!" It was hard to pick a favorite and you can have them by the spoonful too! All served cold and so refreshing. MAKLOUBEH - $38 With BRAISED LAMB - Layers of Eggplant, Cauliflower, Potatoes, Garbanzo, Freekeh (green durum wheat), saffron-yogurt, salata. The braised lamb was so tender and flavorful, and everything surrounding it was delicious. This dish felt healthy and hearty, and it's a definite share with leftovers. Each ingredient was cooked the way I liked it--even the boring cauliflower had a not roasted flavor and texture to it! I was so impressed by this place and I enjoyed it so much. There was so much leftover and I was happy there was no wait when we went--plenty of seating indoors and outdoors.

My party of four made a reservation on a Thursday night, definitely needed as this restaurant was PACKED. There is a complimentary pita and dip, but we ended up getting a Shawarma Hummus with chicken which was really delicious. The staff were really attentive and we had a great dining experience. Kufta Kebab - this is the same beef lamb combo of meat, really flavorful, solid choice. Suneyet Kufta - pretty solid dish, the potatoes were large, but crispy until the gravy starts to soak into it and make it softer. I really liked the meat here which was a beef lamb combo. There is a lot of rice that comes on the side, I ended up eating the other half of this entire dish for lunch the next day.

Roasted eggplant, tabbouleh, falafel, babagahoush, salad with feta, tomato and cucumber and hummus.

Dairy allergy here. If I don't eat the yogurt, are any of the meats dairy free?

Catering which is better DishNDash or DishDash?

    DishDash is better than DishNDash.

Do they still have the chicken shwarma salad?

Yes. Ask for any salad and add chicken shawarma.

What ingredients are in the amazing kabob green sauce?

They call it Walnut Herb sauce (see my review). In case you don’t get reply I just thought I’d leave the general name and maybe you can YouTube or Google it. You should ask them if they sell it :)

Is Dish Dash doing outdoor seating now?

Yes. They have tables along the sidewalk which are separated by plexiglass screens, and then spaced out tables in the street. It is very pleasant.

For the sauces, what is the authentic name for the red hot chili-ish sauce, refreshing mint green sauce, olive oil like herb sauce and a garlic tasting fluffy like cream? Also what’s the sauce in the falafel platter?

    Many times.

    Do they take reservations?

    Yes

Do they still have the chicken shwarma salad on the menu? One of the best salads I've had and they took it out at the Dish Dash Grill in Milpitas.

    I am not sure

    Is this place halal?

    Yes

    Are they vegan friendly?

Yes I have found some vegan items on the menu. You can also modify certain veggie dishes that have cheese. Tahini is vegan and falafel and veggie wrap is excellent.

What's up with DishDash, Dish n Dash, Dish N Dash, Dish n' Dash, Dishdash Grill, etc.? Is someone trying to cash in on an established brand name? And if so, who's copying who?

Same owner, different restaurants, full menu vs. fast food vs. limited menu items are served at different locations.

Are Dishdash and Dish n Dash the same restaurant?

No. They have pretty different menus. Dish n Dash is order at the counter and they call you to pick up your food. Basically wraps and salads but the one on North First Street also has plates, beer and wine. No reservations; stand in line, find your…

    Do they deliver?

No, they partner with delivery apps like doordash.

    How is the shawarma?

Boyfriend had the chicken shawarma and he said it was delicious! The meat was juicy and he enjoyed it a lot.

I would not have known about this place if it wasn't for the reel. I'm also not familiar with Syrian and Lebanese cuisine. Thought I'd give it a shot. As much as Mazra is great at/known for their meats, they also put so much thought and care into their vegetables. For example, our favorite mezza is their Whole Cauliflower, which is a massive cauliflower head that's roasted and then coated with a lemon tahini dressing. (They also give you more lemon to squeeze on it.) The cauliflower always comes out perfectly roasted; the inner parts are tender and toothsome, while the outer parts are crispy and a deep, golden brown. Another great vegetable option is their Veggie Plate, which is a plate overflowing with delights on a bed of their rice: falafel; a segment of their cauliflower; roasted broccoli and potatoes; their saffron mushrooms; and a halloumi roll. Each item is about as perfect as can be, and the sheer quantity makes it a fantastic deal. Of course, we still love their shawarma plates, which you can get with either chicken or steak shawarma. The meat comes thinly cut and tender, and somehow still a bit juicy! The plates are also a great value, since they come with a ton of great items that pair well with the meat. These include a rich, savory sauce (toum [garlic sauce] with the chicken, tahini with the steak) and two of their amazing sides. My favorite sides are the baba ghannoush (creamy and earthy) and their fries (golden, crispy, and pillowy). They continue improving the space, too. The pickup window makes it so much easier to get takeout, and they've really dialed in the flow of the inside and back courtyard seating areas.

First off, parking is a pain, but not unusual for places in this area. And the place, it's sort of a hole in the wall. As a general fan of holes in the wall, didn't bother me, but if you need a place to be spotless and comfortable, maybe not for you. 3 of us, so got the chicken wrap, lamb/beef wrap and lamb/beef arabi style. The best thing was the fries. Perfectly fried and seasoned. The wraps were good. The chicken had a ton of cinnamon, where even my son who loves it was saying, "that's a lot of cinnamon". The lamb/beef was good. Both wraps were big, well built, had great meat to veg to sauce ratio throughout and did not come across too dry like other places. Ask for the spicy sauce. The drinks were interesting. My wife got one of the Freez drinks, which she said was ok. I got a Vimto which had artificial sweeteners in it, which I hate. Serves me right for having a "when in Rome" attitude and not reading the can. Overall, it was good, but would I drive over to go again, probably not. To me, it didn't live up to the hype (3.5 stars and I rounded up), and didn't really set itself apart from other places that are a little cheaper, or more expensive places that are a little better.

For context, my usual hummus is the roasted red pepper variety from Costco, so I wasn't exactly a hummus connoisseur. I chose the babaganoush, the red pepper and walnut dip, and rice, along with the included pita bread. The beef was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The babaganoush was quite different from what I was familiar with, but absolutely spectacular. The red pepper and walnut dip was another standout, bursting with flavor. The rice wasn't the highlight of the meal, but it was still well prepared and delicious. We also ordered the hummus appetizer with chicken, and now I understand why my friend called it "real hummus." It was incredibly smooth, rich, and flavorful. The portion size was generous enough that I could easily have made a meal out of it on its own. Another surprise was the falafel. I'd always avoided trying falafel because I'd heard so many complaints about it being dry. This one was anything but. It had a wonderfully crispy exterior while remaining moist and flavorful inside. The texture almost reminded me of a broccoli-based "mash", in the best possible way. What impressed me most was that there wasn't a single dish I didn't enjoy. Even though the restaurant operates with a more casual, self-serve model, the service still felt attentive. The staff cleared our table when we were finished, and takeout containers, napkins, and other essentials were conveniently available at a designated self-serve station. Overall, I was extremely impressed. Between the delicious food, generous portions, welcoming atmosphere, and thoughtful service, Dish n' Dash easily lived up to the recommendation.
