One of my favorite seasons/holidays at Disneyland Resort! This is one of the big celebrations at the parks! The other would be the Holidays/Winter/Christmas season. To celebrate, the 2 Parks, hotels and Downtown Disney are decorated throughout, lots of food/drinks, lots of merchandise, rides are Halloween themed, characters in costumes, even special areas and events! Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark - each day, they change up the ride from regular to Monsters After Dark, it's super fun & a different experience than the rest of the year. They typically make this change at 2-3 pm daily. Haunted Mansion Holiday - Sandy Claws makes a visit each year during the Halloween through Christmas seasons. Super cute Nightmare Before Christmas overlay for the ride and expect the lines to be crazy during this time! Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree - Mater's at it again with cute new songs for the season! Oogie Boogie Bash - a separate ticketed event that is separate from the regular park hours and hosted at California Adventure Park. There are treat trails where you can get tons of candy. Special drinks/snacks for the event only. Adults can finally get dressed up in costume (normally only kids can dress up). There are special, rare characters/villians to meet. This year they had a spooky walk through in the Redwood Creek area with lights and fog. Grand Californian Hotel's Holiday Cart - tons of sweets and treats for the season! Located in the lobby. They have alcoholic shots too! Grand Californian Hotel's Halloween Display - always a fun treat to see the seasonal displays. It's usually huge and made out of food (cake, Krispy rice, etc). This year, it was a big Oogie Boogie! Lots of pumpkin flavored items for the season! Our faves this year included: Hard Apple Float - Hard Apple Cider with Apple Sorbet drizzled with Caramel - I missed this last year as we went the last day and the sold out! This year, I made sure to go many trips too get thus as it's probably my favorite alchy drink in the park! Spicy Chocolate Churro - OMG! This was delish with the spicy chocolate dip! We had to come back to get more! Pumpkin Pie Hard Float - Hard Pumpkin Cider, Vanilla ice cream topped with Pumpkin shaped pie crust cookie - New this year! YUM! If you enjoy pumpkin, you will love this!! Don't leave without a picture with Winky, the HUGE Mickey Pumpkin near the entrance to Disneyland, you can't miss him! Super fun time to be in the parks! Definitely recommended!

The right place at the right time. .. Disneyland is the Happiest Place on Earth, so, it's ALWAYS the right place! As for timing. ..I am just lucky that my friend's birthday occurs in October when the Halloween decorations are up! I've seen the autumn colors twice now, and it sure gets me in a festive mood (especially since our trees in Hawaii do not change color)! The decorations begin from the tram ride between the parking structure to Downtown Disney - look quickly on both sides of the road! Then, at the entrance to the Park, look above the row of turnstiles! Inside, notice the lamp posts and the GIGANTIC pumpkin carved with Mickey's face! Whoa! Each ride has a touch of Halloween! The Haunted Mansion, the Pirates of the Caribbean, and even Space Mountain change! In fact, Ghost Galaxy takes the place of Space Mountain! !! It makes the attractions extra spooky! I also like the seasonal popcorn containers: the Vampire Mickey Mouse and Ghost Mickey Mouse were the best! We even saw Minnie Mouse and Mickey in Halloween attire! It's just once a year, so think about it when you plan your next vacation to the Magic Kingdom! It's something special!

Disneyland during Halloween Time is amazing!! I'm such a Disneyland fanatic and with Halloween being my favorite holiday it only made sense that I visit The Happiest Place On Earth on the first day of Halloween Time. As soon as you walk up to the gates/turnstiles you see the huge Mickey, Minnie and Goofy pumpkins just staring at you and I love it. Once you step inside the park you see all the lovely decorations all over Main Street and of course the HUGE Mickey shaped pumpkin in the middle of Main Street. All throughout the park there are lost of Halloween and Fall decorations and it gives the park a different feel to it. While the park transforms during Halloween with all the decorations they also offer many seasonal eats that are just amazing like the Pumpkin Cheesecake, Pumpkin Beignets, Spiced Bundt Cake and of course the Haunted Mansion Cake. The park also does the Mickey's Halloween Party which they which I heard is a must and is totally worth the money, you get to do trick or treating, you can wear costumes, there's a dance party and lots of other fun activities. Some of the rides also transform to fit the Halloween theme like the Ghost Galaxy overlay for Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion Holiday w/Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. Halloween really is a special and cool time to visit Disneyland and it's nice to see all the seasonal items offered and changes to some of your favorite rides, it does get very crowded around this time but it was totally worth it for my first time visiting at this particular time and it's a must.

Just got home from Disney's Halloween Haunt and my feet are howling to the moon!!!! The walking. Endless lines. Line up for the parking lot tram to the park, to pass security, to get your ID badge, treat bag and map to find the Trick-or-Treat lines. Aooooooooooou! Exhausting, but the evening, all toll = one heck load of FUN. The costumes. Makeup to clothing choices, people are soooo creative and detailed. We saw several Jack Sparrows, Johnny Depp inspired Mad Hatters, Cinderellas and Snow Whites, Harlequins and Vendetta impersonators . . . and that was the adults. These costumes had to be professionally made. No synthetic rayon or polyester. I'm talking silk, chiffon, velvet and brocade . . . and that's for the men's costumes alone. The kids costumes: Jake from the Neverland Pirates, various superheroes, princesses and Dorothy from OZ. Lots of Dorothy's. These costumes were mostly store bought from CVS. Watching families gather for photos often took my breath away. The artful poses. The blood and gore juxtaposed against the sweet and innocent. Not unusual to see a scary Goth pushing a baby stroller. People were out to see and be seen, but most of all to have a GREAT time. We pretty much ditched the candy lines and rode the few rides that were open. Unfortunately, Toon Town, completely closed. It's A Small World, closed. King Arthur's Carousel, under construction, closed until further notice. Pirates of the Caribbean, closed. Regardless, we found at lot to do . . . Ate fried chicken dinner at Main Street's Plaza Inn. Beignets and coffee at Cafe Orleans. A chorro and popcorn along the way. Rode the railroad train from place to place. The park wasn't crowded so we found riding the train fast and convenient. No lines. Took a ton of pictures. Marveled at the fireworks show while we spun around in tea cups. Man, that's living. Before we knew it we heard the final call, then the "park closing" announcement. Drats! Mass exodus. The folks at Disney are so adept at moving people they had us on trams, in our cars and off the premises faster than you could say Disney Halloween Haunt. This was our second Haunt, and I'm already looking forward to next year's fashion parade.

I'm pretty split on this event..I went for the first time a few years ago..so my review is based on that trip. First of all, I hadn't been to Disneyland in probably 10 years..but man does it take forever and a day to get from the parking lot into the park now. Definitely leave a few hours before the event to leave yourself time to park, and go through the metal detectors. I think it took about an hour and half to go through that whole process..and I had my ticket already, because the even does sell out. Anyways, they let you in at 3:00, and before you can go anywhere..you have to wait for the person to put a wristband on your wrist..Universal had it right to just hand you the wristband, and they tell you to keep walking and to just put it on as your walking. Disneyland- you have to wait for this one person to put the wristband on every single person in the line. Finally, you get into the park, and the parade happens at that time in main st..right where you enter..so you get to deal with parade traffic right off the bat. Hopefully, since this was a few years ago..they found a way to be more speedy about things. I was on the hunt for the posioned apple cup..but it was sold out everywhere..and it was still september...the park was incredibly crowded stil because the park didnt close until I think 5:00 to the public. I strolled past a few ride lines, but they were packed, so I kinda just wandered looking at the stores and decorations. Towntown had a line going because they shut it down just for the event for trick or treating stations. That part was really cool because I hadn't seen toontown in forever. Finally, some of the park had cleared out..still very crowded though. I went in some of the ride lines..but since I was there by myself, I wanted to take advantage of the single rider lines, and the fast pass lines...the didnt have either open because apparently that event isnt considered full capacity enough to have them open. Another thing that kept happening, was that I would enter a line, and the ride would break. One ride I was in line for 45 minutes and was near the front, so j stuck it out..when surprise surprise the ride was broken. they offered me a front of the line pass for another day..but I only had that one day pass. so..45 minutes wasted in one line for an 8 hour event. It also happened to me 4 times in a row. Another thing, was that they completely close down fantasyland during the fireworks, which I was unaware of. So we had to wait for the fireworks to be done, in order to enter fantasyland. More time wasted, if that's the land you want to go to. Overall, the event is fine..the decorations are really great, but I'm not a fan of the crowds and prices, so I haven't been back. Disneyland is very different than it was, when I used to have an annual pass. I just wish that the rides didn't keep breaking. Maybe because I'm older now, and my tolerance level for lines and crowds is not what it used to be. Maybe it is different now crowdwise since both Disneyland and DCA are open for the event. This event is great for kids because of all the candy. And definitely go see the Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain for the halloween theme.

I'm not the biggest Disney fan (I can count the number of movies I've seen on one hand), but the last few times I've been to Disneyland was during the Halloween season. I'm all for indulging in Halloween events & appreciate places that transform in celebration of the holiday. My absolute must-do is not a unique choice; riding a DoomBuggy through the Nightmare Before Christmas-themed Haunted Mansion makes Autumn complete...as does seeing the enormous pumpkin with Mickey ears on Main Street! I'm happy I got to spend an enchanted evening in the park during my favorite time of the year!

Not too crowded on a Wednesday!

I just love Disney's Halloween Time! The weather is always beautiful during autumn in Anaheim and all the Halloween decor at Disneyland just add to the beauty of the season! I absolutely love seeing the guests dressed up in their costume! I also love Mickey's Halloween Party! The fun begins 3 hours early (3pm) and, upon entrance, you'll receive a special wristband and a candy bag to fill with treats. You can start lining up as early as 5:30pm for ToonTown, where there are about 4 Treat Trails... yes, these lines are as long as ride lines but they move at a moderate place with a few candy stations for each trail. There are lots of Treat Trails throughout the park but my favorite part about Mickey's Halloween Party is having access to rides with short wait times while the kids are out getting treats. The cherry on top is it isn't as crowded as a slow weekday at Disneyland Park! (score!) Tickets for 2016 "Mickey's Halloween Party" season were $79 but it's a great deal compared to a 1-day Pass because you still get about 8 hours of fun (3pm-11pm) with a special Halloween Parade, Fireworks, and a neat animated show on the front of "It's A Small World" building. The atmosphere is kid-friendly Halloween decor. Nothing too scary. And the music is great, particularly songs from the "Nightmare Before Christmas" soundtrack! Oh, and speaking of music... I love The Haunted Mansion ghosts singing a capella in New Orleans Square over the foggy river!! Their harmonies are in point! (Thumbs up!) They also have seasonal treats and cute balloons and other souvenirs for Halloween! Some rides are also transformed for the season, such as The Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain. Overall, I love Disneyland and it's transformation into Disney's Halloween Time. It's always nice to look at the cool decor and basque in the holiday-filled environs. I highly recommend those who haven't been here to check it out! It's tons of fun! :)

I just absolutely love how Disney does Halloween. After 5 year's of having passes, I cannot believe this was my first year going in October. Smh. I have completely waisted my money for years and I'm sad because Disney is great for the holidays. Everything is themed. Even the entrance. Some of the attractions in California Adventure were in on the holiday theme. When we walked inside the park, the first thing we noticed was the music. Halloween music. My daughter was like "mommy, nope, let's go" hahahahaha um...no. We're here. In her defense, it was a little spooky lol If you've never been around Halloween time I definitely recommend you go. It's amazing! I'll definitely be going back before it's over.

This was our 3rd time at Disneyland during Halloween time but first time at "Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party"! It was whimsical and an absolute Halloween dream for any and everybody whose a fan of Halloween, Disney or both. The park was decked to the T's with Halloween themed everything as you wouldn't expect anything less of Disneyland. Not only can you be overwhelmed with the mystique that Disney is known for this time of year but you too become submesersed in whatever character your are dressed as. The wife and I went as Mary Poppin's and Bert and hardly broke character as we were not only there for ourselves but the children that saw us as such! I don't picture us EVER doing this annual visit without incorporating this element of our visit. The Halloween party will be forever part of one of our annual visits. No matter how many times we travel from The Bay to visit Disneyland this will forever be a mainstay in our annual visit(s)! If you don't believe me then look at our pics as they speak volumes from the heart! BTW we can't have kids so this is something we do for us as we would if we had our own family!

    Yeahhhhhh

If you're sanity is in tact, then you would know NEVER EVER to go to Disneyland on a Saturday.... And on HALLOWEEN. But if you have a few screws loose, like myself apparently, then... Spending to day at Disneyland on a Saturday that also happens to be Halloween = GENIUS IDEA! *So many people, all dress up is costumes *Parades *Marching Bands *Amazing Halloween Decorations *Rides have a little more SPOOKINESS, especially The Haunted Mansion *The treats are all Halloween shaped *The lines were actually reasonable. My friend & I went on Space Mountain FIRST. That wait was an hour (ugh) but all other waits were 40 min or less! This is most likely because everyone is so transfixed on all of the other visual stimulation going on! As someone who REALLY DOESN'T like amusement parks, I can say this: if you do love such places, and you adore Halloween... You'd be stupid not to check out Disneyland's Halloween Party at least once in your life! For me, once is enough (and actually almost too much) however, for some reason, this is now my 3rd time going.... Clearly I'm crazy.

The Night Market itself was alright there wasn't many vendors or much of really anything to occupy our time with. The screen they were showing Back To The Future on was relatively small and just wasn't an all around enjoyable size for the large group of people in the park. What this appeared to be was something that wasn't a too well thought out idea had they had a bigger screen we might have stayed longer than the first few minutes of the movie. The atmosphere on the other hand was killer I mean come on your in a park next to the awesomeness that is the Packing District so that was definitely a plus as was the free admission to the event. Hopefully they do this again sometime and put a bit more planning into the event as it could potently be a spectacular family friendly outing for all ages to enjoy!

Other then that, it was great, would've liked a little more vendors around to keep me occupied while waiting for the movie but other then that well done. My family and I had an amazing time! It was especially awesome to see the Disneyland fireworks going off in the background as that's my favorite thing about Disney.

Trance music is one of my favorites, and WW highlights it. They used to have 2 stages but last year and this year they cut it down to 1. I don't mind 1 stage because I never have to decide which DJ I want to see. But on the flip side, you better be happy with the whole lineup! Ticket prices ranged from $120-150 depending on how early you bought them. I might just be dreaming, but I feel like the rave prices of $60-70 like back in the day would be a lot more fair for a 1 stage event. This is a 21+ event, which I love. The crowd is much more relaxed and responsible than you find at other massives. The decor was a bit lacking for how large of a space they had to work with. I loved the abundance of confetti and streamers that they shot out throughout the night. The Wishing Tree when you enter is a gorgeous photo op, and a cute idea to pen down your goals and wishes for the new year. Coat check is available but I don't find a need for it now that they have moved the line inside. I want to get my money's worth so I arrive close to 7 when doors open. Check-in has always been quick and painless. There are 3 tiers, ID check, security check, and ticket check. My friends and I went to the front very close to the stage and were able to remain there the whole night. We were not squished for the most part and as people from our group exited to the sides they were able to get back to us easily. I didn't realize how far back the crowd went until I left at the end of the night! We were lucky to be in the front. When I go to events I don't move around much, so I can't comment on bathroom or water lines. They had water vendors walking through the crowd at the front of the stage so you don't have to leave if you don't want to. Water from those vendors cost $4 and there was a water refill station near the back. I love that the event is so local so that for once I don't have to drive all the way out to the NOS Center or LA. Getting a hotel within walking distance is the best idea since cabs and Ubers can take a while to book. DON'T BE A PARTY POOPER. WEAR ALL WHITE. And have fun :)

Go dance your tush off to amazing music, surrounded by beautiful and weird people, and melt your face off to a ridiculous light show. What better way to ring in the New Year than in a puddle on the floor of the Anaheim Convention Center? EVENT LOCATION I loved bringing the party to Anaheim rather than San Bernardino for NYE. It's indoors, which means a lot on a chilly December night! It's also closer to home for me. The big minus here is that the Anaheim Convention Center fills up with 10,000+ people on the same night that its neighbor, Disneyland, has its busiest day of the year. Getting in and out probably took me an hour and a half total because the streets were so backed up heading in and out of the festival. I even left early to try to beat White Wonderland traffic, and I ended up in the thick of Disneyland traffic -- so many people stayed in the Park til after 1!! GETTING IN & OUT While getting to and from the Convention Center was a challenge, getting into the Center itself was pretty much a breeze. Yes, the line was long, but it moved quickly. The single-door-open policy to get in to the center itself was questionable, as it meant the longest line outside in the cold. I luckily had a coat with me, but would much rather have gotten inside quickly, and waited longer for ID/security checks. There were so many shivering ravers and I felt so bad for them. But there were plenty of staff to direct us from the parking structure ($15, steep but better than the $20 at NOS) to the Convention Center, and I appreciated that CSC Event Staff never seemed to be far away. FOOD & DRINKS I finally got to eat some of the food! And it was incredibly average, and a little stressful in my all-white outfit. The longest line was for the sushi stand, and I was happy to recognize Rolling Sushi Van slinging their rolls at this event. If it weren't for the long line I would have snatched up some California rolls myself. I didn't drink as I was driving and really just needed water to hydrate, and that was $4 a pop. Skip the pizza, and the chicken wrap from California Grill is a hastily assembled wrap without a tortilla. MUSIC Once again, this is where Insomniac is firing on all cylinders. With only two stages this time, there were less artists than at Nocturnal or Escape, but they still had a great lineup. I was so impressed that they got some incredible names who were also double-booked on NYE! I'd heard that last year a double-booked artist no-showed as he couldn't get out of Vegas, and with 4-6 performers on their way to Oakland or San Diego after their sets this year, I was almost prepared to be disappointed. But everyone showed up, played incredible sets, and I danced until I couldn't dance or keep my eyes open any longer. Hardwell and Bingo Players were highlights, with phenomenal stints from Sebastian Ingrosso and Above & Beyond as well. If you are coming for the music, there is really no other place to be on New Year's Eve. My 2013 resolution: Complete the Insomniac circle with Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas! See you there!!

This year, $5 from every ticket sale went to the Anaheim White House Restoration Fund. The Anaheim White House, who's proprietor regularly contributes food to the needy, sadly went up in flames last year. However, with fundraisers such as this, hopefully the Anaheim White House will rise like the proverbial phoenix, from the ashes. I'm glad I got to the TOA early, because it quickly became claustrophobic/agoraphobic crowded, especially on the second level. The main chokepoint seemed to be the top of the escalator, where exhibitor tents formed a U, causing a big clusterfrick for most of the night. Food was aplenty & in no short supply. The flowers were amazing orchids, gladiolus there were many juicery stands, beef jerky stores, I bought a nice fake Chanel sweater only $25 just as good as the real thing. They also sell red envelopes for "lixi" happy or lucky money, on week ends they had live music n lion dance. I love the Asian Garden mall the only indoor mall we have here. Vietnamese from 49 states came here every year n most will immediately make plan to move to this land of milk n honey, it used to be really easy to move here n so cheap too. An average home I used to sell for $140k is now $1.4 million in Little Saigon so most VN tourists will just hang out here enjoy the ambiance, the food n have to go home, even then it's so worth it to visit a home away from home.

I wouldn't drive this far again. With that said, if you are local, it's definitely worth it.

This event should've been called "Taste of Gouging."…read more Let's start with parking. The parking garage next to GardenWalk is normally pretty reasonable. The first hour is free, and restaurants usually validate some of it. But during this event? A flat $20 just to park. If you pay by credit card, it's even more. Seriously? It's no wonder the event has "free admission" to lure you in. Then there's the food prices. I understand vendors need to make money, but charging $10+ for a single chicken or beef skewer, and around $25 for one Wagyu skewer, is just insane. We paid about $20 for two tiny skewers, and it definitely didn't feel like we got our money's worth. We ordered a Wagyu pizza that was close to $30 for a small pie. Unfortunately, it wasn't very good. The crust and bottom were mostly burnt while the rest of the pizza was soft; and for that price, they could've at least been more generous with the beef. Another disappointment was that, for an event called "Taste Of...", there really wasn't that much food. I'd estimate only about 30% of the vendors were actually selling food or drinks. The majority were merchandise booths, which is pretty lame. I went in expecting a fun food festival where we could sample lots of different dishes. Instead, we found hugely inflated food prices, limited options, and overpriced parking. It just wasn't worth it for us, and unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back.
