This is a new location for District 7 and I'm happy they chose Memorial as this part of town is lacking in good new restaurants. This is not easy to find. They need to get signs. Friday night and almost empty. Staff a little slow at first but improved as night progressed. Waitress overly friendly and delayed our happy hour order to the point we missed our on second drink. Happy hour drinks just ok, wish they had a bigger selection. Happy hour food was good and nice portions. Main course selections are appealing. Will definitely go back. read more

Today was phenomenal. Our service was exceptional. We had the local oysters and they were excellent. The crispy calamari, cauliflower and Brussel sprouts were terrific. First things first. Very good looking place and great spot. As for my issues, nothing in my food tasted or looked sautéed. If you look at the peppers they just look cut and put everything in the plate. Nothing was seasoned. Although the oysters were good. Very nice spot but i mean i wasn't impressed at the food or drinks. And unfortunately my waiter must have been new because i had to ask another waiter two times to get her to come to the table. This place was absolutely amazing! One of the best places I have experienced all year! I received a notification on Yelp that this was a Hot & New spot and so I asked my SO if we could go and try this place out, it is right in the middle of a few businesses and apartment homes. You can spot it fairly quickly while driving as the nice outside seating is lit up beautifully. We had a great experience, it was very cozy and we picked the right day to go because it was fairly slow this evening. We started off with the Crispy Octopus & Calamari (not pictured) (if you look closely at the menu, they had a little typo and it says "Crispty" - not sure if that was an error on purpose). This dish was pretty tasty and I order a Manhattan (I substituted my choice of bourbon to Makers) cocktail to start (not pictured), it was really tasty, & my SO ordered a Makers on the rocks. For my entree, I ordered the Maple Glazed salmon with Spanish Risotto, Sweet Potato Chips and Squash zucchini and green onions (pictured). My entree was perfectly cooked and the risotto was not dry nor under-cooked. It was very well prepared, I enjoyed my meal. I believe my SO did also, he ordered the Mahi Mahi Piccata (not pictured), but I tried a little taste of his and it was really good! Our waitress seemed a tad nervous which was cute and I think she was just trying to give us great service which she did, her name was Alysse and she made sure to check up on us regularly, once we were done with our meal, we made our way to the bar because I love bar sitting, the bar stools were a little too low and the bar manager, Jacob, mentioned that they would be changing those out soon! He recommended the Navy Daiquiri (pictured) so I tried it and it was very very good! He was pleasant and did what awesome bar managers do and held a decent convo with me! This is a must try spot and I definitely recommend it for a lovely dinner date! We arrived early for our 5:30 reservation. We were seated immediately as the restaurant was empty. Waitress came and took our drink orders. She returned promptly and we then gave our selections for dinner. All meals came a bit on the not so hot side. I'm guessing that the two appetizers we ordered were done at the same time as our mains were started. Food tasted good. No one complained about the size or quality of their meal. Excellent new restaurant. Food was very good and service was excellent. They have only been opened for about a month. I hope the word spreads about this restaurant so that it can stay open and I can come back. We ate there on a Tuesday night and there were only about 3 tables of customers. We started with an order of the crawfish hush puppies, which were very tasty. Large chunks of crawfish inside. They come on a bed of fried kale which were almost as good as the hush puppies. I had their seafood paella, which was loaded with clams, scallops, shrimp, and sausage. My friend had the carbonara with shrimp, which was eaten completely so I didnt get a taste. This was our first time here and the food was phenomenal. Oysters cold and delicious the wings had wonderful flavor. The gumbo had an authentic taste and the ambiance on the patio was perfect. During these Covid times it was lovely to sit secluded on the patio and enjoy the breeze. Excellent service and food! We were looking for somewhere nice in a Sunday night to celebrate our 18 year anniversary. It had to be open late, have a good wine list, nice vibe, and kid friendly. We had a terrible experience at District 7. We arrived and our waiter took forever to greet us. It was not busy and he had zero sense of urgency all evening. We started off by ordering dirty martinis which were the worst dirty martinis we've ever had. We waited for our waiter to return but after a long wait, my husband took them back to the bartender. The bartender proceeded to argue with him about how he made them correctly. We have dirty martinis all of the time and have never returned one until now. We ordered the crispy calamari which was very tasty. We also ordered the chipotle stuffed chicken and the res snapper. Neither entree was great. The service was absolutely horrible!! We have quickly become regulars here, everything we have tried we liked. The oysters are priced so well, we always get those. The management strictly observes Covid guidelines for distancing and we feel safe inside and outside. The outside seating is ample and there are heaters for colder days. I love the cucumbers with crispy onions, and the brussels sprouts are a hit also. Our only suggestion is that they let the pizzas sit in the oven a couple of minutes longer. read more

Went online to schedule an anniversary party from my relatives. I filled out the form online expecting a phone call from them to set up the arrangements. 5 days with no response so I call the restaurant directly in spoke to a lovely nice lady on the phone. She took my name and number down and said someone will call me back. Until this day I am still waiting for that phone call. Who ever wants to schedule any events at this location I will stare away from it. Never know what you might get. Customer service suxs at this location. I had been once b4 Covid and loved the food, atmosphere, great cocktails etc...ordered to go another time and the food was very nice. However, went with some friends last night and not so good. Servers were not wearing mask, we had a new waitress that should have been shadowing another waiter because she was clueless on how to attend a table, not to mention her communication skills were less than average. The food was a bit disappointing as well, the fish was overcooked and bland, the Cesar salad was a bit wilted. With that said, the manager was very nice and tried to help as much as possible. I felt very bad for the waitress, but blame the mgmt. for not properly training her. I will give them another chance because they are close to home and I want them do do well. The dining area looks nice and the patio looks nice. The menu looks great too. But after waiting an hour for my order I never got, I just walked out. After 45 minutes of waiting we asked the waiter about the order, he came back and said the oven for pizzas was broken. Then about 5 minutes later we see two pizzas come out and get served at a different table. We requested a comp meal and to go orders instead. Nothing ever arrived at the table. We finally just left without any time left on my lunch break. So this place looks great but service sucks.
