I've passed this restaurant while downtown and decided to visit and it was well worth it. Great ambiance, cocktails, and staff. My waitress was attentive and friendly. I sat upstairs as there is only a bar downstairs and it was full. It was a Thursday so they had $.50 wings. They offer various flavors and order sizes for the wings so I went with the 8 piece lemon pepper buffalo. I also had the Henny Island cocktail and mac n cheese and fried okra for sides. I will be a return customer! FYI picture of food was taken after I started eating some of the mac n cheese lol

It was our first time at District 924, and we were truly impressed from the moment we walked in. We were greeted at the door and seated upstairs, where the space was simply decorated, and beautifully lit--perfect ambiance for a relaxing brunch. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, taking the time to offer recommendations and make sure we had everything we needed. We started with the salmon bites, which were fresh, well-seasoned, and paired with a unique, flavorful sauce that really set the tone for the meal. The mimosas were as cute as they were delicious--we couldn't resist ordering a second round! For my main dish, I went with the shrimp and grits, and I can confidently say they were the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked shrimp, creamy grits, and a rich, savory sauce that tied it all together. Can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. District 924 is definitely a new favorite!

Salmon and grits. Quite tasty and filling to the stomach. : l

Food. Was delicious. Service was polite and the ambiance was nice. Salmon: I asked for crispy skin but perhaps with sauce it softened but it wasn't salty but very tasty and I would it again. Prices are reasonable.

Our first time at District 924 Soulfood and Cocktails. It was wonderful food and fantastic service by Sydney. Both meals had the creamiest grits, with a roasted garlic sauce, little pieces of chicken sausage and I had mine with fried flounder and my friend had shrimp. They have a great patio with sun and shade and a side street parking lot. They had drink specials on the chalkboard for $8. We both ordered the margarita. Sydney confirmed we wanted "lime margaritas". Yes. Apparently that translated to "top shelf" because we were charged $20 each. It was good but no kick. After the fact and reading other reviews, I realized they have a published dress code on their website, which I included as a picture. We only saw the patio and it was nice but not "fancy". I was in shorts, tee shirt and sandals with straps, so I was fine but you will want to read the code.

The server was extremely nice and attentive. She met us at the door and guided us upstairs to our seats. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. The food was plated really nicely and tasted delicious. The indoor seating area is cute and intimate. Our food was brought out quickly too.

First time here. We will be back next time in this area. The cocktail Raspberry Patron splash was refreshing. The entire meal (Fried lobster, fried shrimp, Mac n cheese and collard greens were praise worthy. The service was lovely and food prepared without delay. Our server was very attentive. Her name was Ty! I'm a very satisfied customer.

I've been here many times and the food is always a 10/10. Literally what Luxe USED to taste like. Similar menus but this place takes the cake. The wings are a hit every. single. time. I always get a mimosa and the bartender is not stingy. The vibe is nice, I prefer to sit downstairs. Overall I have nothing bad to say about District 924. Check them out.

I finally made it to District 924 for Soul Food Sunday and it was just what I needed. I don't cook much fried food anymore but I was craving a good ole school Sunday dinner plate and tried them out. I wanted the deviled eggs for an appetizer but they were out for the day so the waitress recommended kaboom shrimp and they did not disappoint. They were cooked and sauced to perfection! For my entree I ordered the fried chicken(white) with yams, collard greens, mac n cheese, roll, and a side of pork chop(don't judge me ). I topped it off with the perfect Arnold Palmer and I danced and ate until my heart was content. They were very attentive and the place had a nice chill vibe with some good music for my enjoyment in the background. So, go ahead and stop by to see them.

Where have I been all this time??? This was the absolute best flounder I have eaten ... ever! And I am a coastal South Carolina gal. The greens were perfectly seasoned. My mother would have given them an AAA+, and the Okra was tender and lightly breaded... again outstanding. Even the roll was delish! The service was wonderful. I can't wait to go back!

Overall, our visit was fine. Theres plenty of space in the adjoining parking lot. The front patio looks great with plenty of tables to enjoy outdoor dining. The entrance is a little confusing. We walked in right in front of the stairs. No one greeted us so we weren't sure where to go. A guy finally came over to tell us it would be a short wait but then the actual hostess gave us the option to sit at the bar. The decor in the restaurant is really nice and elegant. The bar stools were comfortable and there was plenty of space. The service wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The bartender was pretty busy so she wasn't able to check on us much, but it was clear she was trying. I wasn't a huge fan of all the conversations between the staff members. It was obvious they were having issues and weren't in the same page. The food was really good. I really enjoyed the red velvet waffles and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The collard greens were great and had a little kick. I would recommend a private party room. There was a very loud group downstairs. I know they were just having a good time, but it was almost impossible to talk. I'll probably give it another try, but it may be a take out order.

I have to say, the location was pretty good. You have plenty of parking and there is outdoor seating. The inside is pretty tight on the first floor. I was unable to see the second floor. The food was really good. I got the salmon and grits which came with collard greens. You can see from the picture that it was a descent size portion. Plus, the garlic bewad was a great addition. I didnt get any drinks. Yet, the drink menu had a nice selection. The drink must have been good because we constantly saw more and more drinks leave the bar. Speaking of the bar, and general staff, they could be a little more organized. While I didnt experience any issues, I heard very clearly from the bartender to the bouncer a power struggle for power. While there was a hostess, the bouncer initially tried to seat us. But then, the hostess after consulting the bartender sat us somewhere different. And the power struggle continued throughout the lunch. I would order the food here; yet I probably would not dine-in again.

Nice southern flavor. The food was good; nice southern style and flavor. The macaroni and cheese wasn't the thick southern flavor I'm used to but it wasn't bad. The yams and greens were good. Salmon was also good with the teriyaki sauce but I did ask for Extra to get more of that sweet teriyaki flavor. Overall is was all good.

Beautiful as in, very simplistic tables and chairs, but in a cute little garden like area that has sun shining in and plants. it's a cute little feel. Now these burgers, are delicious. We've only gotten the Barcelona burger and not tried other options because that one is so freaking good. The single has even more flavor than the double somehow because on the single patty, you can taste all of the additions: the Barcelona sauce, the tomato, the lettuce, and all of the flavors just explode. Their meat is tender. It's a thin patty and it's just delicious. If you're looking for a good, simple burger that's packed with flavor and you aren't looking for a gigantic hunk of meat, This is your spot. When we first walked in, it was busy and we heard the hostess tell the couple in front of us they would need to wait over an hour for a table - Lucky for me my wife made reservations and we were seated immediately! It was a bit on the noisy side but not so bad we couldn't have a conversation. Our servers, Thomas, was fantastic start to finish with good recommendations, attentive service without being overbearing, and a great personality. Good staff make a business shine! We started with glasses of wine and were impressed with how generous they poured. Perhaps it was a visual illusion, but they felt like very large glasses of wine and made it feel like a very good value. They have a good selection of wines to choose from along with a full bar. Appetizer was the Crab Cake Egg Rolls, something I don't think I've seen anywhere else. They're cooked in Beef Tallow which gave a very savory flavor and crispy texture. They were a bit on the oily side but overall flavor was delicious, and I really liked the dipping sauce which was like a very herb-heavy tartar sauce. For entrees, my wife had the Filet and I had a New York Strip. I don't have the words to describe how delicious and perfectly prepared both of these were. I didn't even bother asking for steak sauce because the perfectly tender and seasoned steak didn't need it. Nobody wants to pay high prices for a steak and receive something low quality, and I was thrilled with the quality of the steaks here. Surrounding tables likewise had great looking meals and I overheard them voicing pleasure too. As sides go, the baked potatoes and salads were excellent too. I got the hot bacon vinegarette dressing and was surprised it was actually served quite hot. It had a really rich and slightly tangy flavor that was unique and I really enjoyed on my salad. I have no complaints here and will absolutely be back. Of course it's on the pricey end, but this is the type of establishment you reserve for a special night out, not your average Tuesday night. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!

Housed in a former Coca-Cola bottling plant, Grandpa Joe's pays homage to the site's history through its red and black décor. The menu offers salads, floats, and soft serve though pizza is the star attraction. It is served by the rectangular slab (about $8 per). Order at the counter, grab a number for your table, and wait for the oven to work its magic. For our first visit, my wife and I split a trio of slabs -- an Italian sausage, a mushroom, and a tomato and burrata -- with a side of marinara. All three were excellent. The focaccia crusts were crispy while still retaining airiness. From melty mozzarella to savory, fennel-forward sausage, Grandpa Joe's uses high-quality ingredients. The marinara was good: bright, fresh, and just a bit sweet. The mushroom slab came topped with arugula and shaved parmesan. Despite seeming like a gimmick (pizza? Salad? Why not both?), it proved an effective combination: the arugula's bitterness played well with the mushrooms' earthy flavors. There will be a certain type of pizza connoisseur for whom anything that isn't New York style is, by definition, fraudulent.
