DTLA pastrami burger. $15 with fries.
    Tony H.

I got to try District Burger while they were at Brewyard Brewery in Glendale. The DTLA pastrami burger was excellent, and they make some pretty good fries. Fair to decent price for a food truck. I'd definitely be a returning customer if I came across them again.

Tried out District Burger when it came to the Grand Park "Olive Court" on a weekday at lunch time. Of the 3-4 trucks out, it had the most people around it (maybe 5) and was one I hadn't seen before so I decided to check it out. I was going to go with the normal burger but the "East Los Fries" caught my eye, as I had lived in San Diego for four years and had many many helpings of Carne Asada Fries so wanted to try it out. The fries themselves are pretty ho-hum, neither skinny shoe string, nor thick cut steak fries, just run of the mill, fast-food-esque fries, a little dried and overcooked on top, a little soggy on the bottm. The carne asada looked almost like ground taco meat as opposed to chunks, and didn't have too much flavor, just a bit of texture, and was either a bit gritty or way too chewy. The pico de gallo though was pretty good, with some nice colors and crisp flavor variations to play against the sort of nauseating background of greasy meat and deep-fried potatoes. I appreciated the freshness of the cilantro and the redness of the tomatoes. Lastly, I couldn't really see or taste much of the salsa verde, although if you're going to be selling something like "East Los Fries," it probably would have been nice to have a bit of salsa or hot sauce someplace along with the jug of provided ketchup so we could spice it up as we needed to. As it was, the chipotle aioli was enough of a kick, more salsa verde would've given it a bit more breadth in flavor. Like most Carne Asada Fries, i felt pretty sick of it half way through, though the first two or three forkfuls were pretty tasty. So, all in all, a fairly typical take on carne asada fries that i'd give somewhere between 2 and 3 stars to. Would I have it again? Probably not. Do I particularly regret ordering it? Not particularly. It was just "meh."

To rare for me. Compton burger

Food was good in flavor, patties are still red inside, which is a no for me. I had to airfry it a bit to make it well. Sweet potato fries are gooood!

Plain Cheeseburger..... might just be one of the best ones I've had.

Ordered the most plain cheeseburger on deck for the little one as she was hungry. She didn't eat it probably because all she wanted were the fries but the wife and I enjoyed the burger so much. A lot of flavor packed in the patty and they're not stingy with the beef and bun. Very good all around. Others ordered specialty burgers and they looked good. I highly recommend.

Love this truck! Burgers are great and the people are as well. My mom was visiting LA a few weeks ago and she'd never been to a food truck. We asked for a recommendation for her that wasn't too spicy (cuz we're both wimps in terms of spice). They not only answered our questions and recommended an option but also let us try the sauce to confirm the sweet/spicy of the bbq sauce. Further, they split the meal in half for us (perhaps more doable as it was near the end of lunch hours). It was just an all-around good experience. I happened upon the same truck downtown yesterday and decided to visit again. I mentioned to the gentleman that my mother had really enjoyed the burger. While I wouldn't have been surprised has he not remembered us, he actually recalled her; mentioning the location we were for the visit. I just think that's pretty awesome. In summary- tasty burgers and great service.

Had the 626 burger, sauce was great and the burger was cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend to go here.

Warning their burgers are served rare if you do not ask for well. Too rare for me.

Forgot my lunch so I decided to go to the food truck the building provides. Today it was District Burger. I selected the Bel Air burger from their menu. Their description: Truffle garlic aioli, fancy mixed greens, bacon marmalade, tomatoes, saint Andre's triple cream. I wish I had taken a before pic because it was beautiful before I bit into it. The flavors were there but the meat was way to under cooked!! Practically raw!! Rare steak maybe, but rare burgers-NO! If they cook their burgers rare they should inform you at the time they take the order. $10 for over rare burger $4 for plain fries Next time I will definitely pass on District Burger.

The scallion pancake chicken cutlet had a super flakey crispity crunchity chewy wrap, a brushing of sweet sticky hoisin sauce, some shredded cabbage, and a thin crispity crunchy bubbly lightly savory chicken cutlet. Also, chicken could have been crispier outside but that's just me I prefer crispier popcorn chicken. Otherwise it was solid and right amount of seasoning and honey milk tea was yum. Didn't taste powdered down or anything. I ordered 50% and the honey taste is memorable . There's other food trucks available so as far as vibes... busy all around! I usually just try to blend in with the crowd and point to what looks the yummiest to me hoping they have popcorn chicken lol So I will definitely come back again for some yummy treats when I'm leaving work hehe

I pulled into the Good Fortune Supermarket (formerly Hong Kong Supermarket) parking lot to check it out. Everything looked new and clean, but business seemed slow because no one was around. Two Asian men sitting around liao tianr-ing (chatting) sprang up as I approached. My Chinese not being the best combined with their somewhat heavy mainland accents meant I didn't know how or what to order. They said they had one last serving of what sounded like "lamb" to me left. I took a glance and saw grilled/fried stuff on the menu, so I said sure why not. I asked how long they've been open, what their hours are, and if they're usually at this location. They said this is the first week they've been open, their hours are around 5 PM to 9 PM, and yes they are usually in front of the supermarket. I asked if I could take pictures and if they had a Yelp page, and they said sure and not yet. Around this time, while I was chatting with one guy and the other guy was preparing my order, a few other groups of people saw the commotion and started inching closer, curious. You know me, always blazing trails. Anyway, it wasn't until I paid and got change that I realized what I ordered. Apparently I ordered the Brothers Features Liangpi. I've never heard of a liangpi, so I was excited to bring it home to try it out. It turns out liangpi is like a flat rice noodle (or mungbean sheet?) cut up with cold cucumbers, tofu, cilantro, and a bit of Sichuan pepper (mala). They gave me a sesame sauce on the side. It was pretty good. In summary: Food was good though I ordered only one thing. I'll be back sometime in the next few days to try out more of their menu. Service was good. I was the only one around for a bit, but they were definitely friendly. Food truck with an "A" rating from the health department. It's a positive, but part of me wants to count it as a negative. Asian street food, to me, just isn't the same without massive cockroaches skittering around piles of rotting vegetables all around me while mosquitoes eat me alive. Pricing seems fair. Definitely not cheap as my liangpi wasn't huge or anything, but it wasn't too expensive either. I hope Asian-street-food food trucks become more popular.

We stopped by after the gym and ordered some food. My partner and I shared the nachos, while our friends got the quesadilla and tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The food tasted fresh, was well-seasoned, and wasn't overly salty, which I really appreciated. One thing I love is their salsa bar. They have a self-serve area outside the truck where you can get as much salsa as you want. It's convenient, and it's nice that they're not stingy with condiments. They also offer daily specials. We didn't order any of the daily deals this time, but they looked like a great value. If you're looking for delicious food at an even better price, definitely check out their daily specials before ordering. The location is another plus. It's right outside Jefferson Middle School in a quiet area with plenty of parking, making it very convenient to visit. Several people recommended the horchata, saying I had to try it, so I ended up getting one and sharing it with my partner. It was really good! The only thing I noticed was that it didn't come with ice, so we added some when we got home. The service was quick and friendly.
