I think people keep coming here for the nostalgia. I remember when The Pasta Factory first opened in the 1990's and how it was such a big deal. People raved about the breadsticks. Now that I've grown a little and explored more than just cuisine in southern Utah, I've expanded my taste buds a bit and prefer things with a little more flavor and creativity. Sure, there's a time and a place to get excited about different types of pasta and choosing the sauce you can put on it. But if you enjoy complex flavors and unique food combinations, this isn't going to get you there. However, if you enjoy a unique setting in a building that will likely remind you of high school prom dates, make a stop at The Pasta Factory. At least you'll enjoy the memories. read more

First, I was very confused on the Pasta/Pizza factory thing. This location is next to the Pizza Factory but completely different (next door). It has a different and smaller menu, that is mostly just pasta. We were recommended this place as a top place to go in St George that was kid friendly. It is kid friendly, however the food isn't great. I got the meatball sandwich that came with a house salad. The salad was good. The sandwich was sad looking but overall tasted good. The dining room is very small! It's about 10 tables and was very busy. I probably wouldn't go here again. I did hear that the pesto pasta is good though. read more

We are traveling in an RV with our doodle. We needed a place that takes to go orders. I placed our order and it was ready in 10 minutes. We ate in our RV with the air conditioner on....the food was excellent! Baked Penne with Italian sausage Chicken, Artichoke Hearts, Zucchini & Mushrooms Spaghetti & Italian Meatballs 3 side salads Breadsticks! The place was packed, which is a good sign. We did try to order from Cappelettis Restaurant first, but they don't take to go orders on weekends because they are to busy. Umm today is Friday, the 2 employees told me, weekends are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. Okay, we will go somewhere else! I'm from northern Utah and we have The Pizza Factory so whenever I visit St. George I love coming to The Pasta Factory since northern Utah doesn't have one. It's delicious with all kinds of pasta. I have enjoyed everything I've ordered. The service and atmosphere is great. They also have outdoor seating which is fun. read more

The Creamy Pesto Pasta was good. Their atmosphere is casual in the outside patio where we sat. The presentation of the food was as if you grabbed pasta from your Moms house: nothing fancy about it, but that wasn't a problem. Love the salad here the bow tie chicken pasta is my favorite. Would eat here again. My boyfriend's family and I stopped by last night to get to know eachother and we all loved it, the atmosphere felt very welcoming and comfortable and it definitely made it a lot easier for all of us to get to know eachother. Our server Elizabeth was such an angel. I don't live in Utah but if I did I would come here every night and ask for her! She was swift and welcoming and even though she seemed on the busier side she never made us feel rushed! And the food was amazing!! We did not set out for dinner with this place in mind, but the restaurant of our choosing was closed and this place was open and in the same parking lot. I was so pleasantly surprised! I'm not a huge pasta fan as usually the portions are gigantic. The Pasta Factory lets you order a half serving. And believe me, their half servings are quite generous. Many types of pasta and sauces. My husband ordered the ravioli with the creamy pesto sauce. He said it was very good. There were about 8 ravioli in the half serving. I ordered the farfalle (bow tie) pasta with primavera alfredo sauce. It was packed with fresh veggies -- carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli. I thought it was excellent. I also ordered a side caesar salad which was nothing special but I was craving veggies. 4 large breadsticks were served with the meal, and they were delicious. Our server was very friendly. Our food was served promptly with not much wait time. Although we didn't order anything to drink besides water (they don't serve alcohol but have a nice beverage menu) the total for dinner before tip was about $20.00. You can't go wrong here! read more

My review is very specific, this is one of my favorite restaurants in St George, and I love the casual atmosphere, I know when I arrive that I won't feel underdressed in my casual digs, but I don't come here for fancy glassware, or fine silver, I come here for the spaghetti and meatballs, and for me, having come here dozens of times, it's been the only meal I've ever ordered, and I love it! The spaghetti and meatballs are the perfect mix of their wonderful homemade red sauce, not overly salty, with just the right spice, topped with tasty meatballs and Parmesan cheese. The complimentary bread sticks are fantastic, always piping hot, fluffy and flavorful. I always get the Cesar's salad which is the perfect side dish for me. If your looking for fine dining, with cloth tablecloths, and fine silver, then that would be the other guys down the street, but if you want fantastic food, at a bargain prices, great and attentive service, in a casual environment, then this place will make you feel right at home! All I ask to give five stars is for the restaurant to provide what they say they're going to provide, and these guys have always done exactly that; great spaghetti and meatballs that I love, love digging my fork into. We had super quick service here. Our waiter brought drink refills out before our current sodas were empty - much appreciated. The breadsticks were great. I loved my salad. This curbed our hunger! My family and I are visiting from San Diego and were craving a pasta dish that wasn't Olive Garden. The schezuapn chicken was delicious on top of the Bowtie Chicken Caesar Salad and the breadsticks were addicting, I had to stop myself. We had the pleasure of being served by Ellie, she was so incredibly sweet and attentive. She made suggestions we'd like, brought more breadsticks and re-fills without asking, and consistently checked in on us. She was incredible and truly added to the experience. the food is magnificent! the one dish that is truly amazing is the House Mac and cheese or a full plate of bow tie chicken ceaser salad they make them HUGE!! the workers that make them are doing good at there job. My friend and I both got pasta, I got alfredo and she got the Italian sausage spaghetti and it was basically half soup there was so much sauce. The alfredo had an unpleasant and bland taste and I could not finish even half of it. Not only was the taste of our pastas not good, it was way overpriced, $18 for a full pasta with a topping which was just about the same size as the half sized pasta, I just had a bigger plate. Ok people working here are so friendly and courteous thank you. Now my 3stars apply to the cheese on the pizza maybe it's a cheese blend with mozzarella and reggiano but whatever it is " it's not working for me and should go through a tasting test again. This was an extremely bizarre experience all around. To start with we were seated in the outside area and they never even asked if this was an ok option for us. There is plastic to close it in, but it's not sealed so as the wind blows the cold air all came in and it was very chilly. I thought it would be ok because there were 3 large standing heaters, but when we asked if they could turn them on, they said they had no fuel for them. Next as we were starting to enjoy the bread sticks, there was a large clump of a foreign object, possibly hair or strands of something that looked like hair. The waitress said "that's really gross, those aren't actually made here though." The salad was ok, but the entrees were maybe mediocre, except my husbands meatball sandwich, that was very pitiful looking and was served on a dessert plate. I kept thinking, did they accidentally bring him a kids meal?! The salad came before that came with the sandwich, but the sandwich was literally served on a dessert plate.
