Had breakfast this morning kinda stumbled on by food was great had me a dirty omelette corned beef hash cheese and onion highly recommend

Love the people and the food. I go every day for coffee at the very least.

There's a $3 surcharge for eggs in an omelette. Not mentioned on the menu. I wonder what an eggless omelette would have been like?

I had stopped in middle of the week had a breakfast was happy with my egg white omelet platter with spinach and potatoes ... so I figured I go this am and bring my husband and friend from out of town well we were seriously disappointed. The waitress had no personality One of the breakfast entrées did not come out altogether the eggs were flat my tomatoes and onions weren't cooked in my omelette pancakes were not cooked all the way through very very disappointed and after I told them that it wasn't good I didn't even give me a discount so I honestly will not be returning sorry dj delights there's so many other amazing breakfast lunch places I suggest you step up your game and waited over 30 min with only 2 tables in the place and someone got there food after we arrived I really don't get it read more

Cute place with incredibly nice people. You can get yourself a hot homemade breakfast, or you can go into the market area and buy all the ingredients you need to make a meal at home. They always have some delicious looking baked goods in the front counter case too. read more

We were driving through the Jersey shore towns this past weekend (11/12/2011) to find good food at a place where we haven't eaten at before. Driving through Asbury Park, we found that there were several restaurants and decided to park. By chance, we parked right in front of DJ's Delights. We did a little walking around the block and decided to go to DJ's. The place seems to have whatever you need in a one stop location, which is really convenient if it's good. We can say that, yes, it's good! The staff is very friendly, the dining atmosphere is relaxed, nice music, prices are good and we thought are portions were good too. Many items are under $10 and even though we ordered a couple dinner specials, we were still under $30 for both of us. We left satisfied with happy bellies. The meat sauce with the lasagna was really tasty and loved the string beans (I really did like them!). It's too bad for us that we live more than an hour away. However, if we are in the area, we will definitely come back to eat more! read more

WORST experience. dj's was my niece's and my favorite breakfast spot... until today. walked in at 9:45 am... only 2 - 3 tables occupied at the time. put our order in -- two breakfast sandwiches and one waffle... 30 minutes in, still no food. watched people come in, eat and go around us... 45 mins later, nothing. at this point, i told our waitress to pack up our food when it was ready, because we needed to leave and be somewhere... without so much as an "i'm sorry"... even after pointing out that customers who were seated after us got their food in a timely manner, got their check, paid and went on their way, all i got was: "it depends on the flow of the kitchen." ... well the flow seemed seamless for everyone but US! one hour - still no food. again, we walked in at 9:45 ... i gave them til 11:00 a.m. and we were out the door ... WITHOUT food. shame on me for wasting my time. but a word to the waitress: take it as YOUR fault. apologize with sincerity. and DO NOT talk condescendingly to your customers and call then "Hunny" after you've ruined their morning. read more

This past weekend, we decided to order some simple catering from DJ's for a post-marathon party We had eaten at DJ's before for lunch and breakfast and throught that their food would be perfect for satisfying a bunch of hungry runners. DJ's not only accomodated our request by providing a platter of delicious sandwiches and wraps, but they did so for a day when they would otherwise be closed! The sandwiches were fantastic and so were the crunchy pickles (I hate it when they are all rubbery... who wants to serve that your guests?!). We will definitely keep DJ's in mind for any future catering needs as they went above and beyond with providing us with great customer service! read more

I've never written a review before and I'm afraid after this one this place will become to popular and I'll soon have to wait in line. They just started serving dinner in their new dinning room and it is real good. Award winning meatloaf. A different fish dish each week. We had the blackened cod with mango salsa w/feta that was quite good. The prices are very reasonable and the dinning room is nice. It's also a BYOB which is not that common in AP. read more

Location: On Mattison across from the DYFS building. Service: The service here is always nice, everyone is friendly including DJ himself. If you eat in the dining room instead of getting food from the deli the waitresses are always helpful and kind. Food: Small menu and to be frank, everything is over priced. I don't not like the food there, it is just that every time I get it I am wondering how my slightly above mediocre panini, chips and pickle costs $11. Especially when I can get a great sandwich around the corner for the same price or a $1 more at speakeatery. Overall I really want to like this place, especially because everyone is so nice. I just can't see spending money here though with so many other offerings in town. read more

Great lunch spot in Asbury Park. I work across the street and stop here every once in a while for some lunch. Great sandwiches and hot dishes. DJ is very friendly and his customer service is awesome. The same goes for the employees that work there. Only thing that bumps DJ's down to a four is salads. They're kind of bland. I usually get the Chicken and Mozzarella Sandwich. read more

My first time eating here. Stumbled upon it a few wks ago while walking around asbury park. Saw a lot of people coming and going from there and it got good reviews so I figured I would give it a shot. Well was not impressed. We were the only people in there and it took awhile for our breakfast. Ordered the DJ's big breakfast special. Asked for the bacon to be crispy and it was not, the sausage did not look like it was cooked enough and the home fries were gross. Had a very weird taste to it. At first I was very disappointed with the very small serving size, but after trying it I did not care because I took one bite. ( they were that bad). So we will not be going back. It's a cute place and the staff is friendly. If only the service and food could be better. read more

Dj's has a wonderful breakfast place, perfect for recovering from a night out. The service is attentive and the entire staff is friendly. The food is excellent. I've had the omelettes but my favorite are the breakfast sandwiches. You owe it to yourself to try the gut buster, but for those people who want a little something different you can try the secret menu item the belly buster which adds roast beef to the equation. It makes for a perfect late breakfast sandwich. read more

I usually only use Yelp to rave about gems of places that I find along my way. But for this I will make an exception. This has to be the worst service I have seen in years! When placing our order we were informed that they did not have Panini bread, their fryers were already off for the day so we were unable to get fries, and then they served us the wrong order! Above all they charged us extra to swap out chicken for beef. After all of these inconveniences there was never an attempt to rectify or discount our purchase. The staff was far from knowledgeable of the prices and/or menu. As a local, I try to support small businesses but unfortunately I will not be returning to this establishment. read more

Sometimes a place lives on an old reputation. That's the story w/ this place. When neighborhood was barren, DJ's sufficed. Now time has passed it by. Why? Mediocre coffee, skimpy sandwiches, high staff turnover and just "so-so" food. Have been to group dinners there, & it was "Costco Heated Up". Do yourself a favor: try 2 other places within a block: "TOAST" or "CARDINAL": you'll be glad you did. read more

I get great take-out here for soup and sandwiches. The store is clean, and the owner, DJ, is right on top of things. All deli amenities are there, including a convenience store. The prices are the best around. And there is nothing this practical in the vicinity. Excellent. read more

Go here! I was a first-timer and had breakfast here this past Monday. FANTASTIC omelets. Light and fluffy and NOT cooked to a brown crust on the outside. Generous portions. this place was awesome... first review i've ever written because it was that good! came here with a few friends from out of state to show off cookman ave and grab some breakfast. the server was very accommodating, altering a dish to make it vegetarian and checking in with us multiple times. everyone was so friendly we took a picture of the staff before we left! food was great, establishment was really clean and nicely decorated. definitely recommend it. read more
